Was working in Newton Mearns today and bumped into waggy in grill 77 says he will be definitely back for the cup final, thank God we've missed him the last few weeks.

Warbs said he might feature against St Mirren.

Been told from a source who's always spot on that we will be getting Mcgovern the Hamilton keeper once he comes back from the euros with Northern Ireland as our back up keeper as he will be a free agent and Cammy Bell will be sold a year before his contract is up to free up wages.

28 Apr 2016 17:37:31
Well having watched my country's matches over the last 2 years I have to say he wouldn't be much of an improvement on cammy bell. I'd prefer big roy carrol in nets for northern ireland. We should be using 1 of our young keepers as back up.

28 Apr 2016 22:45:45
In my opinion it wouldn't be the worst move for us, he won't cost much on wages and Bell is on McCoist era wages, we could get a free agent in who would do a job on Bell's wages and I wouldn't like a youngster as back up keeper not playing all season. It's important these young boys go out and get first team experience in the lower leagues. Look what it did to Allan Mcgregor for example.

McGovern will fight for a place watched his game last week on the highlights made some good saves. Would rather we signed Danial Bentley though who we have been linked with Southend keeper.

29 Apr 2016 00:20:56
If Lafferty bought a house here sadly he will be signing. All I can say is at 28 I hope he has got better in the air. Dunno what the wage would be? Would much rather we tried for Fletcher for free if we could get him to come and pay a acceptable wage for both parties a much better player of technical ability than Lafferty.

29 Apr 2016 01:32:03
Bentley is a significantly better player than McGovern but I understand that there is a number of Championship sides in England and even one or two EPL sides interested in him. We would be very fortunate to get him and if we did then I suspect that he would be our No. 1 keeper.

it doesn't really matter whether laffery is good in the air or not, as we never swing a ball into box. can count on 1 hand our headed goals this season.

28 Apr 2016 06:15:33
I'm only passing on what I've heard last night bears, our management are very interested in signing our ex northern irish striker kyle lafferty, big davie weir is supposedly pushing for signing lafferty very hard, I personally wouldn't touch him with a bargepole as he's burnt his bridges with us in more ways than one, this by guy is total trouble! Only sharing this news with you as the info is from a well informed source.

28 Apr 2016 13:02:51
Personally I wouldn't have any issue signing Lafferty.
He is developing well as a striker and we very rarely saw him in that position.

He scores goals, links play and works tirelessly.
I am sure, Warburtonthefifteenth, that you would have been against re-signing Kenny Miller?

28 Apr 2016 13:08:22
All I will say is yes he's wronged us in the past. but consider this he now has something to prove and if he can apologise by way of scoring goals and capturing his NI form then may be worth a go! We've forgave Kenny miller for less and I think he could benefit from our tactical system.

28 Apr 2016 13:24:13
Is he better than what we have? Yes. So why not! Not my first choice but at least we know he will turn up against Celtic.

28 Apr 2016 14:10:51
His last spell with us wasn't the best, but he is playing in a good league and hopefully with age he has became wiser and isn't a wee f***y any more.

But in all seriousness, I would take him back if it's right for MW and Sir DW.

28 Apr 2016 18:24:37
I'll never forget his 1st minute lob over cammy bell winning the league that day.

28 Apr 2016 21:38:40
Nope. He's over-rated, has a rubbish attitude and is a reminder of he dark days! Being a fan shouldn't mean you automatically get to play in the jersey. That should be earned. and being the mascot at Norwich doesn't qualify in my humble opinion.

28 Apr 2016 13:38:00
Shows real lack of imagination and raises concerns that MW has little knowledge beyond the lost souls of lower league English football.

Not to mention how unpopular he has d with many fans.

28 Apr 2016 19:44:13
personally i would not have lafferty but if big dave and the hat want him its up to them so far they have been spot on and as far as it goes they rise and fall by their decisions and if they want lafferty i can only support their descision.

29 apr 2016 18:07:06
it very simple if lafferty was to sigh for between 5grand and 8 grand a week name another striker at a similar level who is his height and quick and do a similar job we have 5 million budget not 40 or 5o million the type of players some on here talk about will be in a top league earning 50-200 grand a week. i personally think he a good english championship player and if he prepared to come back on what we will be paying i would bite his hand off. he's better that what we have got and would add to the squad.
