Leicester is a possible destination for Bougherra, although its unlikely that they would pay £2million for him when hes out of contract in a year. Same with Whittaker, Bursaspor will go as high as £1m if that I expect Gers to pull out all the stops to keep Whittaker. Hutton will only come back on loan or if it was part of a deal eg McGregor going the other way which won't happen. Cuellar is a stalemate just now but expect him and Bartley to sign later on in the window. Goodwillie is looking unlikely at the moment because Cardiff are prepared to pay £2million upfront where as we are at tops willing to offer £1.5m-£1.7m with add ons totalling the £2million however Goodwillie is the key to everything if he is as so many say a Gers man then he could force Uniteds hand and move to Ibrox. James Morrison is a complete non-starter as pointed out he would cost our entire budget at least Graham Dorrans is more likely even at that he would cost us at least £3.5million.

Apparently Rangers have made a bid for Real Madrids Royston Drenthe . Could be ture he was shiped out on loan last season so probs not in there plans for this up incomeing Season

heard from a mate who normally gets his rumours correct that goodwillie will arrive at ibrox before the end of the week, also that aston villa will drop there price to 2.25 mill and a deal could happen although wages will be an issue as he earns 35 k and our limit is 25 k

One rumour gathering pace is that both Weiss & Bartley fancy permanent moves, and Rangers are being quoted prices of £2.5m & £1.5m respectively. Personally, if true, I think we should jump at the chance of signing two lads who have had some of the best footballing educations out there at big clubs in England. Both could be worth £6m, £8m maybe even £10m in the future.

Any thoughts ed?

{Ed010's Note -with regards to Kyle Bartley, I have read that Arsenal are dragging their heals on making any decision because they are looking to sign a centre back but if they can't, they may turn to Bartley. I have heard nothing about what Weiss' intentions are or for that matter, what Man City are looking to do with him.

There is an old saying, "you need to speculate to accumulate" and that is something that Rangers need to do. The way forward is for Rangers to bring through players from Murray Park and to sign young players from other clubs, who potentially could make us big bucks. I agree that if Bartley and Weiss were available for those prices, then the potential to sell them on for a large profit is there.

I think they are worth alot more than that and even at that price big talk now show White wouldnt pay that.

If true GRAB THEM, not only class but seemed to love ibrox and playing against the dark side.
