Glad Jack proved me wrong as he and Mcrorie were really good today. We must sign Kent and get rid of Grezda, Rossiter and maybe big laffe rty and save some wages. Big Katic was superb!

Saw Katic at Helsinki game and I knew he was ready to come back into team. Looks fit and strong, so I hope Goldson recovers quickly to pair up with him again. If we had pressed a bit more from midfield it could have been a lot more. Great and much needed win after break.

Agree Lafferty has underwhelmed recently but to be fair to him he hasn’t had a run of games and historically plays his best football in the last couple of months of the season when it matters most.
Let’s see how he does for rest of season when he gets a chance which will be even more difficult with arrival of Defoe.
He has done ok in some matches he’s come on in and needs a goal to get confidence up.

Superb performance today with Tav and Candieas linking up well on the right and Barasic and Kent on the left.
The team had a balanced look.
A special mention for KATIC he strolled through the game, so hopefully he will be given an extended run in the team alongside Goldson, when he returns from injury.
Great finish by Morelos from a tight angle pure quality.
All in all a valuable 3pts.

Much prefer playing 1 up with Kent causing it on 1 side and Candeias pressing well on other.
Think the 2 up top should be used as plan B in games where we are struggling to break teams down and would prefer it to be Lafferty and Defoe or Lafferty and Morelos when it’s 2.

Is there any interest in craig hallket? Watched the game and for most of it he looked a solid CB. In my opinion i think he would be solid reliable back up for next season replace mcaulay.

Called it a while ago, looked assured. No idea why we are developing worrell who has no intentions of staying- this lad could be picked up cheaply and would instantly become our best defender. Only issue is he is right sided as is goldson.

He was marking Morelos for long spells today and Morelos didn't give him a minutes peace (Morelos was brilliant) yet still he was very Impressive and kept his cool, this guy would be a great signing IMO.

Didn’t make the grade 🤔 - he was a young lad who went elsewhere to gain first team experience and game time. Was the best defender on the pitch today - looked assured and wasn’t slow barking orders at all around him.

I agree that Halkett would be good addition for next season when Worral goes back and McAuley will be out of contract. Think he would be good cover for Goldson and Katic.
He was immense in last 2 home games against both halves of old firm when neither managed to score.
Great in the air, solid in the tackle and physically strong with decent pace think he’s perfect fit.

Story out this morning that tav is target for Southampton. £8. Million was figure quoted. Personally i would take it and buy a couple defenders. A RB &CB.

I’d take 8m, we have an excellent RB in Jon Flannigan already at the club. I believe if given game time on his favourite position he would thrive.

£8m is close but we would need to invest the money in this window, 1 or 2 players, if the business can’t be done then keep what we’ve got. Personally I think we could squeeze £10m from an EPL team, they have money to burn and are desperate to stay in the league. Remember this is the team that squeezed £75m for van Dyke by standing firm.

I’m a big tav fan and whilst i appreciate every player has a price, I think if we sell our captn we won’t realise how integral he is to our play till he’s gone.

Trev I personally wouldn't have him as captain. My personal preference would be Ryan jack. Would definitely take 8 for home. Could play candias at RB. Just as good if not better going forward and probably just as good a defender.

Agree with Trev, Tav has defensive frailties but he is superb going forward and has been since he came, add that to the fact that he is fit almost every single game (how many can we say that about? ) then we have to keep him. If silly money comes in then we asses the offer but it has to be crazy money, and we have to have an opportunity to spend it!

I'm totally in agreement with Trev and wee_bear! Unless its really crazy money that southampton offer for tav, then he stays with us as far as i'm concerned! Undoubtedly, i agree he isn't the best defender but brings so much to our right hand side, going forward! We miss him badly offensively, when he's not playing, that's fact! Sick and tired of all these tav haters on here! He has become the whipping boy on here and i said a good few weeks ago, we will only realise what we've got with tav and what he brings to our team, when he's not there! Then the tav haters will be greeting even more! Wish they would take a day aff, this continual tav bashing! Get behind the team and the captain!

Look where the second goal came from on V Kilmarnock and this is a regular feature of our play. I’d take £2m tommorrow. There is a good reason he did not make it at Newcastle as he does not have the concentration levels to be a top player. It’s a shame because he has great touch but is no defender.

Tav gets a raw deal off us I think.
Granted he’s not Captain material and makes mistakes defensively but not as frequently as he used to.
He creates chances and links play well with Candeias.
If we are offered decent money in summer then fair enough it’s worth considering but I wouldn’t like to lose him this week if I’m honest.
