PC wants 3 players from mexican league pena, abella and eduardo herrera. As i said before i have watched mexican football for 6 years. Good standard but just wirried that these players won't adapt. But possibly bringing 3 together would be good idea and hopefully settle them in.

Mexican football is one of the best supported and improving leagues world wide. I watch it most weekends when I am in Texas and the standard is very strong + it is improving all the time.

One major benefit is that the players are hungry for success. Mexico is now producing the sort of players that Scotland produced 50 or so years ago!

Providing they can acclimatise then this was be a positive set of signings which, when added to the Portuguese contingent and the new Scots lads that we are linked with should give us a positive out look for the new season!

26 May 2017 19:54:38
Improving yes but good not really. I've warched a few mexican games and it makes scottish football look like the seria A. If pedro buys these players I worry they will struggle to adapt to a scottish style of play.

27 May 2017 08:37:36
There is a difference between watching a few and watching their games every week. Who are you trying to kid! The Scottish National Team would struggle against Mexico and indeed against most of the South American National sides.

There are a number of quality players in Mexico that will end up in the top leagues in Europe and we will be very fortunate if we are able to secure the services of the three Mexican players and the two Portuguese players.

Add these five to the players that are likely to join from the SPL and with the return of Rossiter then, providing that the team can gel, we will have a good team and a team that can challenge for the SPL.

Get a grip how often do we see players going from Mexican league to the Spanish, Italian and French leagues. Then think how often do players from up here move to any of the more decent leagues? Just about any 1st division football league is a step up from our pile of steaming sh1t. If they are good enough for the manager then they will do for me

27 May 2017 11:47:49
Remember that Jaurez guy that Celtic signed and was initially hyped up by the press.

Not even mediocre.

27 May 2017 11:53:06
Mexican league is far better than spl. Just look at last year apart from celtic no team can win a european match. They all struggle agaisnt so called didy teams. But if we can get 3 players from mexico then that is good they can work together. Bringing in only 1 could be difficult to adapt to life here. From what i know these 3 players would vastly improve the team. Fast strong and technically good.

Hearing that Pena, Cardoso, Bruno Alves and Moult will all be formally anounced as rangers players next thursday with the club working hard to secure other targets aswell. Windass and Tav have also been told they are part of the plans next season unlike the daily record has reported

26 May 2017 12:48:49
Sorry Rangers3991, but the Alves one has hit the skids due to personal terms. Cardoso and Pena will complete their moves next week though

26 May 2017 12:51:21
Additionally the Moult signing will not go through unless Pedro can offload Waggy, which won't be easy.

26 May 2017 13:55:18
Bruno alves is coming mate along with eliseu mark my words.

26 May 2017 14:28:50
I'm sure Ryan Jack will sign after the cup final.

reading up on Cardoso, he look a good prospect. They had a good record until he got an injury last year and then started shipping goals. he's the right age for us to punt on as well. only concern is that if was a brilliant prospect then why hasn't one of the big 3 Portuguese clubs snapped him up? time will tell.

personally i'd only pat 350k for Moult, nowhere near the million being touted.

This Pena signing is a gamble in my opinion. He got homesick moving within Mexico, what he going to be like relocating to Glasgow?

26 May 2017 14:47:44
I will be very happy if all those players mentioned end up at Rangers.

26 May 2017 16:13:10
Very happy?

26 May 2017 16:58:21
Yes, Rick Witter! If we secure the three Mexican players we are being linked with + the two Portuguese lads along with Ryan Jack then, with Rossiter back to full fitness and the possibility of Moult joining us then we should have a side that will challenge for the league next season!

Some good young players at the club now, the wasters being shown the door and players that will give 100%, not to mention being decent quality, I will be looking forward to the new Season!

26 May 2017 19:27:30
Moult is done deal ohalleren plus 50,000

26 May 2017 20:04:46
Who the hell comes to rangers hears ibrox and feels home sick NO ONE

26 May 2017 18:08:20
why would u want windass to stay and for mckay to go . sorry but i think this is a mistake from pedro.

we could tie mckay down untill 2020 and could get treble the asking price for the player next summer if not more depending on how well he plays, but letting a boy go that is the most talented boy to come from our youth system in a while is not good buisnes

26 May 2017 20:54:56
If it was a choice between Moult and Boyce I think it would have to be Boyce, hopefully we have done our homework on both players i wouldn't want to go for Moult just because he has scored more goals against us.

27 May 2017 06:28:46
Mikel Arteta springs to mind Broximatosis 😂

27 May 2017 08:40:27
McKay is a wimp! He has ability but doesn't show it on a consistent basis. He doesn't tackle, he doesn't track back to support his full back.

Yes he has potential but it looks to me like Rangers want to cash in on a player that wants more money but hasn't earned it!

27 May 2017 09:48:32
McKay is a gifted player he just needs to operate on the right and have more confidence in his abilities as for Windass and Crooks they deserve another chance especially Windass he has all the attributes to play in the hole behind a prolific striker and I would keep Halliday and Holt as well they are good squad players and one of Warburtons biggest mistakes was having to a small squad so when we had injuries we had no bench

27 May 2017 21:34:20
agbroxi, Halliday is one of the worst players at Rangers. If we are fortunate enough to get rid of him we should do so. We need to reduce our wage bill to accommodate new and better signings. Halliday and Kiernan should be two of the first out the door!

28 May 2017 18:51:03
Keep Halliday am I reading this right!? Worst player I ever seen in my life

29 May 2017 12:39:45
Gannet, I wouldn't say he is the worst but he is right up there with Jim Denny, albeit that Denny probably got stuck in more again Celtic.
