Scott Allan to see out rest of his contract at hibs end of speculations

Believable12 Unbelievable15

26 Jun 2015 20:15:03
he will if no-one bids on him obviously. but there is now way hibs will turn down a bid of 500-700k for him

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 20:17:12
Don't always believe what you read in the papers.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 20:22:58
You see his interview? He is on his way out. Maybe not to rangers, but can't see him being at hibs come September. He said everything his agent told him to say

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 20:39:53
All he said as far as I read is that he is content. I didn't see him ruling out a move or promising to stay?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 22:16:07
Watch the interview again he says "nothing is concrete until then I'm a hibs player" .

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 00:24:24
with Scott Allan saying he is happy to see out his Hibs contract is just his way of respecting the contract he is on perhaps been told to not say nothing towards the media. if and when we bid for him he will be ours no problem unless the them lot or an english team try for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 13:32:23
Scott Allan will leave at the end of his contract hibs have knocked back 2 bids 1 for £500k and 1 for£650k he's going nowhere this year

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2015 06:45:18
You are kidding yourself if you think hibs will turn down anything near 500k. You have just made that up

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2015 11:06:37
No that's fact mate straight from er if he was to go now it would be nearer the £1m mark but rangers couldn't afford that so he will be at hibs till his contract ends

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2015 19:06:01
He wouldn't be worth 1 million with 3 years on his contract. 500k and you will bite our hand off. Can even see him putting a request in if you don't except the first offer

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2015 22:52:02
I don't pay too much attention to who runs other Scottish clubs but if it is still Rod Petrie and near the end of the close season a club comes in with a few hundred thousand and Scott Allan wants the move then I would suggest he will be off.
One of the many bad decisions we had was keeping Brian Laudrup for a fourth season and letting him move to Chelsea at the end of the season for nothing.
By his own high standards he was rubbish that season and contributed to the Gers coming up short in the bid for 10 in a row. IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2015 09:52:29
No chance hibs have already turned down 2 offers I've said the highest being £650k he's staying end off

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2015 15:18:44
There was 2 bids from dundee united. The max was 650k. if a bid of that amount or more comes in, they WILL sell.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jun 2015 22:46:57
That's what I said mate £650k but the bid would have to be about £1m then he will go until then I still see him staying at hibs

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 19:35:17
Anyone heard anything about Lewis McLeod? Gone all quiet across the whole transfer front. would love to see him back also wish we could afford Rooney an Pawlett from dons, Allan, Vaulks and Allan mcGregor! What you think fellow bears?

Believable1 Unbelievable12

26 Jun 2015 19:57:12
I think there is better out there than rooney and pawlett. Allan mcgregors wage demands would be too high. But who knows, he may be a little sympathetic to the club that made him the player he is and then abandoned us.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 20:09:56
Nome of them would come

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 20:28:20
Don't want McGregor anywhere near the club! Turned his back when we needed him most!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 21:14:01
Adam Rooney! Have we learned nothing from Boyd & Daly. Don't b daft

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 22:46:14
Never mind mcgregor tell him to stay at hull to dear and wee have to watch our penny's

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 00:21:46
as for McLeod i'd say no unless a free transfer. he was a good player for us perhaps, his injury must be quite bad if he ain't kicked a ball down at brentford.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 08:23:49
Lewis McLeod fits in with MW blue print.
McLeod, Wilson, Kiernan, Murdoch, Gasparato, Walsh.
The young guys can be moulded into the perfect team.
Forget the macgregors etc this is a new team and a new era for Rangers under MW, DW, DK, PM.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 19:14:45
Apparently joey Barton has been seen entering ibrox today. Surly this is a winf up as his wage demand will be huge?

Believable1 Unbelievable20

26 Jun 2015 19:46:06
the guy is a scumbag I wouldn't want him anywhere near the club

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 20:12:21
i certainly hope not. he is a nutcase and not even that good of a footballer anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 20:21:36
Your spot on. We could not afford the wages. Most players who have been established in the epl are out of our reach and I expect it to be that way for the next decade unfortunately.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 20:46:14
He is just what we need a footballer and a linguist. He is genius remember his interview in "french" he was that good I heard it in English lol

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 21:14:22
I don't think warburton would entertain a clown like that With all that baggage he has and wages wise we are way off the mark for him . more junk rumours I think

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 23:02:15
One of the funniest ever interviews Camoo. Genuine French a la Allo Allo show.

Agree1 Disagree1

27 Jun 2015 10:03:37
I disagree he's calmed down a lot recently and he's more than good enough for this league, he's also an experienced head for the dressing room if he's willing to take a wage drop wed be daft not to consider him

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 11:10:13
He's probably only there for coaching badges anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 17:26:47
Was working in Dundee and heard rumour about possible loan signing of Ryan gauld by one of his mates who was working beside us

Believable0 Unbelievable17

26 Jun 2015 18:27:24
Would be an amazing signing but I seriously doubt it would happen for 2 reasons. The first being his wages. Rangers could not justify paying his 9k(roughly) a week wages for a single season loan in the championship. The second is sporting will probably want him to gain experience at a higher level.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 19:37:03
No chance. Heard a couple of months ago he wants to break into sporting first team next year.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 20:31:45
Did Ye? Aye?
(Sorry to quite a septic fan)

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 05:45:43
Can't see it ever but having watched his progress on YouTube with Sporting he would be simply the best Rangers signing since Gazza. Trust me Bears this wee guy has everything in his repertoire he stands out in a very good Sporting team

Again I can't see it but it would bea promotion clincher that is how good this kid is he makes Allan and Brown look like average players I rate him as the most talented Scottish player since Dalgleish.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 11:14:31
He stands out in the sporting team? He doesn't get a game bud.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 16:55:54
MW bringing Mols back to the club as a strikers coach, apparently they met at some coaching course a while back and have kept in touch! If he's as talented a coach as he was a player then this is really exciting news!

Believable8 Unbelievable9

26 Jun 2015 17:31:49
Not a chance. Wish people would move away from this 'Gers Old Boy' mentality.

Agree0 Disagree1

26 Jun 2015 18:05:01
A write so is that how mols was in the paper saying he didn't know who mark warburton was and never even mentioned him to be the new manager. Bull!!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 18:36:50
Sorry guys this was meant to go on the banter page as a bit of a laugh for the exact reason of its something you woulda heard when Ally was in charge. Mark is definitely taking us in a completely new direction, my bad.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 20:13:35
as far as I know mols has been helping idtenifying players around holland for us. but for him being 1 of out coaches is a bit far fetched

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 21:21:10
Did you not ready last post AllanRFC?

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 00:26:39
sorry castlebear I didn't read your last post. my apologies.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 07:51:45
No probs.
It would be nice if he found us a couple of you Dutch players we could develop and sell on though. Although I'm not sure if MW likes to stick to players he knows, seems that way from his interviews.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 08:35:50
i agree totally with you castlebear. look at celtics van djik. I won't lie but he is quality all round cb. hopefully in future we can find these gems celtic always seem to pick up

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 13:37:32
Heard that we've bought scott Allan in a £2mil deal. Anyone confirm this?

Believable1 Unbelievable19

26 Jun 2015 16:44:24
I can confirm that you completely made this up!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 16:45:47
earth calling eart calling return to planet ibrox

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 16:47:42
Would be all over the press if true! Although I beleieve he will join eventually! All the noise about him wanting to stay in the papers yesterday was as manipulated as is possible. the quotes from the lad himself suggest he was simply being professional but actually seems eager to move to us!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 16:53:21
What 2 mil. In his last year. Someone is tripping

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 17:02:34
2m for him not a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 17:28:09
Honestly can't see all the hype he's had a good season but all that has done is bump the price up! There are other targets out there in sure MW has a few in mind!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 17:33:52
If you're going to start a rumour at least make it even slightly believable.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 17:53:47
Complete guff mate that's well over priced for him plus we ain't got the cash

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 17:58:07
2mil? 500-700k would be more than enough for him

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 18:05:54
2million for him? Wouldn't even pay £2 for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 18:19:36
2 Mil buys hibs not just Allen!!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 18:45:35
Only worth about £200,000 in his last year

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 18:53:17
No mate not true its a post the mankey mob put around on Facebook to try wind us up!

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 05:46:08
Total nonsense £1m Max if we buy him I see us waiting for free signing next summer as Allan will be an SPFL player for us he is a very good player plus we can have him as a double agent at hibees mistake passes to fellow Rangers passes , own goals all very handy to help win the title.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 07:55:55
Cheers Gez.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 14:54:31
There's serious talk of us trying to sign Kevin McDonald(wolves), the rumour came from a current player yet I'm seeing that Fulham have tabled a £1m bid. Surely we can match that for a proven player who's at a good age and can still improve. Would to see him in the Blue of Rangers. Really think we need to focus on at least 1 CM of that quality, a hungry, quick CF and more importantly in my view a quality GK as confidence starts from there.

Believable5 Unbelievable9

26 Jun 2015 15:58:25
what constitutes a proven player? 87 apperances for Wolves 5 goals?
his record is abysmal

Years Team Apps† (Gls)†
2005–200 Dundee 90 (14)
2008–2011 Burnley 51 (2)
2010 → Scunthorpe United (loan) 5 (1)
2011 → Notts County (loan) 11 (0)
2011–2013 Sheffield United 77 (5)
2013– Wolverhampton Wanderers 87 (5)

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 16:47:00
he signed for fullham

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 16:47:33
Sounds like a player Ally woulda signed except he's too young!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 18:29:56
@azzlee He's a defensive midfielder so his goals per game is totally redundant, Barry Ferguson's record down south was hardly prolific so was he not a "proven player"??

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 19:34:34
1:he wouldn't drop to Scottish championship in my opinion and 2:so what if Fulham have put a bid in for him, doesn't mean wolves/McDonald will go for it!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 22:07:55
I know him personaly and that is bull snapped chatted him and he just laughed, Kev will be staying in England that's for sure

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 13:55:46
Heard we are signing Mark Bunn Goalkeeper from Norwich.

Believable1 Unbelievable11

26 Jun 2015 13:22:07
Heard McGinn ex st mirren in talks.

Decent player but he did get speared in the leg last season.

Starting to get concerned at slow pace of team building. We need a creative playmaker, at least two midfielder players with pace and a striker capable of 20 goals minimum. A new keeper and right back would be a good idea as well.

Where's all the investment? At this rate hibs will run away with it.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

26 Jun 2015 15:07:39
It takes time to make a good squad. Chill out.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 15:19:18
Id rather we took our time and did it right!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 14:40:19
Have some patience man! MW will bring the right players in and enough of them, he's only been in the job 11 days, he will have a lot of other work to do apart from signing players. Sometimes deals take a little while to go and a lot of players will be on holiday at the min, its definitely too early to be getting concerned.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 15:28:58
It is about signing the right player not rushing into it and getting anyone to build up the numbers. Look at McCoist he bought people on back of a name and also those who were "Proven SPL" which did not work. Give MW time to find players we are building from the back so I expect to see movement soon

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 15:34:35
Yep let's just sign 5 players in the space of a week. Oh and let's spend 20mil in the championship aswell. Some peoples clocks must tick faster than others, there is plenty of time.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 15:47:27
I feel your pain however it's not easy getting the right players especially when that involves the 2nd tier of Scottish football. have to have patience.

Also I wouldn't worry about that mate, if they couldn't prevail over the 11-man disaster squadron we fielded last year then I seriously doubt they ever will!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 12:05:39
Heard we have a agreed a 80k fee with falkirk for craig sibbald and also contacted st johnstone for murray davidson and michael o'halloran.

Believable2 Unbelievable7

26 Jun 2015 13:17:05
i will only believe who we are interested in ehem they are at murray park

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 14:17:32
O'halloran just signed a new contract. Sibbald not a bad thought though if it materialises

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 14:48:53
What's with this relentless link to Murray Davidson. we've been at it for about 5 years now and the lad is mince!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 15:21:09
sibbald is a decent player yes. and 80k fee is pennys. however these sorta players really rangers quality? even in these days?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 16:02:26
this superiority complex "are they rangers standard" should be left in the past we should be looking to develop talented products

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 16:36:55
Sibbald has 9 goals in 90 games as a froward. No thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 19:39:32
Sibbald is a winger not a attacker and plus he will go for more than 80k

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 11:18:47
John Souttar and Scott Allan being brought in today to bolster the midfield.

Believable2 Unbelievable10

26 Jun 2015 12:55:48
Hard to believe Dundee Utd would be willing let souttar go? Especially to us!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 13:14:32
Allan maybe soutter very doughtfull

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 16:08:26
souter and allan ain't coming fact

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 16:45:56
Souttar is a centre half and no way united would sell him to us.

Scott allen deal is still a possibility but the longer it gets into the transfer window the less likely as hibs will have less time to find a replacement

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 18:10:06
Allen staying at hibs for the year he has left but may sign an agreement for you next season

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 09:49:24
very much doubt on souttar. as far as i'm aware he is gaining interest down south. as for allan, I do hope we land him for a decent price as he certainly could fit a good sell on value as long he is performing.

A couple of Timmys from Kirkintilloch say it's all over the place that Gregg Wylde is heading back to Ibrox???

26 Jun 2015 07:45:46
That's a blast from the past, who is he with anyway Pollock or Petershill?!

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 07:53:22
No chance he's off to England according to family

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 08:15:22
another that runaway and got nowwhere

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 10:35:10
He never ran away he offered to go first to try ease the situation. Don't know if he's what we are looking for, I reckon we could get better with new faces. Wasn't he at Aberdeen last season?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 11:26:26
Big will he's not good enough but he wasn't one that ran away really he had his contract terminated by mutual consent

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 11:44:04
Nowhere near good enough. Had his chance with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 12:00:15
Ha ha ha the only thing he'll b doing at Murray park is cutting the grass or painting the walls. He's mince

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 15:56:33
Dont think he's goog enough for us. However comparing him to McGregor and the rest is harsh. This young biy came out straight away and said he didn't feel comfortable taking a large wage from the company when people on regular wages were possibly going to be made redundant. Therefore in order to try and save jobs he agreed to leave the club and reduce the wage bill. As opposed to run away looking out for his own pay packet. The boy handled himself with a dignity and maturity some of the so called 'stars' of the team were found lacking in.

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Jun 2015 18:31:07
Wylde would do a job at rangers . Washing the strips lol

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jun 2015 08:12:17
I'm sorry but I'm not agreeing with this whole 'good guy' label he gets. He knew fine well what he was doing when he left and would never have done it if he didn't have the Bolton gig lined up. He's done exactly what McGregor and the rest did - jumped ship to best suit his own needs - but he did it sooner and with better PR spin. That all said, I'd take any of them back if they could do a job (apart from NaiShame and WhitAnArse) - I just don't think Wylde is good enough.
