Hull are in for Windass, bid rejected apparently

26 Jan 2017 16:54:31
Saw this reported on HITC. Haven't seen anything reported by them that has materialised or been proven true.

Livermore and potentially the exit of Snodgrass leaves Hull short in midfield.
Like to see Windass stay but Warburton stated every player has a price.
Does Windass not have a release clause in his contract?

26 Jan 2017 17:46:38
Yeah I think it's either 2.5 or 3.5 million

26 Jan 2017 18:40:35
Yeah I thought it was 3 million.

26 Jan 2017 18:40:48
Windass has a big future he's been abit hit or miss this season but I honestly believe he will become a top class player just needs some more experience and some more belief! Wouldn't like to lose him

26 Jan 2017 18:13:17
1.5 million bid apparently but I have to say if a offer of 5 or 6 million came in I would consider it!

26 Jan 2017 19:01:55
would like windass to stay as i think he got something if used properly. i. e used as a number 10 with a couple of ball winners behind him. mind you i think that would apply to about 5 of our midfielders

26 Jan 2017 19:46:16
We are not selling windass blah blah blah we are skint get over it . Its rather funny these rumours who knows we might sign kevin kempl next as a new CDM he's on 70k a week we could use the windass money to pay his wages hahahahahah.

27 Jan 2017 07:31:35
Windass has a £3m buy out clause in his contract. So won't be going on the cheap regardless.

27 Jan 2017 08:32:41
Where on earth did you pick the figure of £5-6 million up? I rate him highly but he has featured in 15 games this season and scored on goal. On the bench every week or injured. For £5-6m in the English Premier League alone you could get Patrick Bamford or Tom Carroll who both have a bit of experience at the top flight. Why would someone offer that for a fringe player in Scotland. People really need to get a grip!

27 Jan 2017 09:30:00
Hopefully they bid £3m for him bite their hands off and get rid and be happy with the profit he's mince.

27 Jan 2017 09:38:09
It's really a win-win situation. We keep him = Maintain a good young player. He goes = Tidy bit of business.

27 Jan 2017 09:43:36
Lol if we were offered 5-6 million it would be more than considered the boy wouldn't even touch the marble staircase on the way out. He's a decent player with a big future. But we got him for under 200 grand if we were offered 2 mill he will be away that's why these players are signed to make a quick profit it's the only way we will survive until we get rid of Ashley same goes for mckay and any others sad to say but that's the position we are in

27 Jan 2017 12:02:55
totally agree blue genius!

got one concern though if say we get 2 million for him which would be generous to say the least, we need to get sum1 in basically on the same day as the transfer window is only open a few more days.

27 Jan 2017 18:47:51
£2m is ten times what we paid for him so, considering he's not exactly set the heather on fire, that amount of money would be snapped up. I think, no matter the claims about a release clause, anything over £1m would shift him.
