Absolute disgrace tonight. Start with the young boys from now on & get rid of all the uninterested foreign crap.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

25 Aug 2011 23:43:07
McCoist get on the blower to Man City and offer 3m for Vladimir Weiss we need someone like him that can bypass a couple of players I'm sure his end product would come with age he is still young Wylde on one wing and Weiss on the other would be dynamite

Believable13 Unbelievable4

Weiss has signed for Kiev. He might have loved the club but he was too hot and cold when he was here last year. We must move on. Have faith in Super Ally for WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but thats not the answer. mcmillan or fleck would have been better with the ball than edu tonight and got us forward more. dont think the wing was the real issue but was in the middle

Agree0 Disagree0

Weiss has not signed for kiev and he won't be either as he stated on ssn so stop talkin Barry White

Hate to say it but Jelavic will probably leave in January or next Summer. I think he is one of the best signings we have ever made. Top 30 goal a season striker (two bad european games for him doesnt change that) and a starter for one of the best European teams in the world.

But I think he will be fed up with no European football, he was always going to leave that was inevitable, but it just means he'll be going sooner than expected, and we never got to see how he did for us in the Champions League.

Highest transfer fee we've ever paid was £12 million for Tore Andre Flo, and highest we've ever received was £9 million for Alan Hutton - And Man Utd (2nd best club in the world) were offering £13 million for Jelavic-I think that speaks for how good a player he is when he's fit and on form.

And now we have probably lost him.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Man u never bid £13m for him, if they had he would be away, only in his mind is he worth that.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Man Utd were to offer 13 mill he would have been away a long time ago....

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye and Liverpool are wanting McCourt and Ki for a total of 15 mil . Get a grip ya clown

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

I know Fergie is a Rangers Man, but he won't pay 13 million for Jelavic, if his form doesn't improve soon we will be lucky to get back what we paid for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic is a great striker for us. Probably the best in a long time however Man Utd never did put in a bid for him. You have to remember he missed a lot of chances which would have put us through tonight and even chances which he should have scored againt Malmo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal are looking at Davies and Jelavic there chief scout was at Ibrox tonight

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry, I meant a starter for one of the best international teams in the world (Croatia)

Agree0 Disagree0

Not by a long shot is he one of the best signings Rangers have ever made. He's a good player, no doubt, and maybe one of the best signings in recent times, but ever? Are you forgetting some of the legends that have played for Rangers? Cooper, Laudrup, Gascoigne to name just a few...

Agree0 Disagree0

If Jelavic is such a big player for us then where was he last night? He was p*sh Too many people jump on the Edu and Broadfoot bandwagon when we get beat, while big players such as Jelavic and Davis get away with playing mince in the big games

Agree0 Disagree0

Jela looks good in scotland and gash in europe because he`s not really that good, either is the spl-he wouldnt make the bench at man utd we look at him like he`s awesome he`s been piss poor when it matters-nice goal against malmo but he should of scored 5 or 6 over the euro games

Agree0 Disagree0

Croatia...one of the best international teams in the world...hmmm really, are they as good as spain, brazil, argentina, holland, germany, italy, france, england- no they are not my friend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Croatia are ranked above france Haha, Check before you make smart-arse comments at other people

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 23:36:58
mr whyte u have not spent money so now prepare to lose it.. gd fans aint gonna come to games to see the mighty gers play square passing for 90 minutes.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

We're not really mighty at the moment, but good fans will do what they can to try to help the team through this troubled time and do what is best. we will support whether it is at ibrox or on the forums. aye ready

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually good fans will, by definition, go watch their team no matter what. It's called loyalty, get some.

I wouldn't blame mccoist How many chances do we need to score?? They had 1 effort n scored, we had about 20 It's not managers fault that lafferty can't score 1 on 1, not managers fault Healy can't score 1 on 1 , not managers fault Davis wants to pass from 2 yards out I think we seem to forget that we had been pathetic on europe for years, we have won 1 in 24 European games, mostly under Walter smith so he wasn't much better at it We just need to pick ourselves up and make sure we win the league. If you wanna comd on Here and slate the team then fine but all the trur rangers fans will always be there for their team starting on Sunday

Believable9 Unbelievable2

It is mccoists fault, he has had three months to get a striker in, and because he didn't we have lost a minimum of £4m and possibility of £15m. We have one striker at the club, and that is a fact

Agree0 Disagree0

Even if we had another striker the midfield wouldnt have been able to play the ball up to him. players were mince.

Agree0 Disagree0

How's it no mccoist fault? He picked the team Watched them against motherwell and they played good football, then ally changes the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Strikers needs service that lacks at rangers

I see on my rangers app for my phone I have the chance to meet Juanma Oritiz at a charity race night, an I thought aye, that will be right, I'll take my time out to meet someone that is worse than my little sister at football GARBAGE I'm glad I didn't renew my season ticket, I didn't see te game tonight and I don't want to, dark dark days for Scottish football.

Believable3 Unbelievable5

He wasnt the worst player on the park in my opinion and i was there. have a watch then let us know if you still feel the same.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was it edu by any chance? To be honest I wouldn't want to meet 98% of te squad, if probably only want to meet mcshagger and jelavic for winnin us the league last season Just my opinion. Also I disagree with te folk saying we should splurge 3 mil on Weiss and bring back Diouf I wouldn't mind Weiss if he cut the s**t ad just crossed the ball, Diouf was and always will be a FUD

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 23:20:58
How bout geting boydy back? He surely would hav scored the nite.

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Aye he was prolific in europe before. no thanks. gone and forgotten

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you seen his euro performances
f@ckin pele could not have got them through tonight

Agree0 Disagree0

He's in turkey on 35,000 a week gd luck with for an average player that looked gd in the spl

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 23:16:05
Maybe it was for the best tonight, we really need to build this team. Ally needs time and will get time. Remember we have Naismith whittiker mcculloch Bartley papac ness all missing- add Bedoya and McKay and we are not a million miles away. Yes this hurts and bad but c'mon Smith lost against Kaunas and look what happened Poor finishing tonight that's all poor finishing. Weel take our anger out on the sheep in Sunday and take it from there
In ally we trust

Scott

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Totally agree with you, shame the majority of the people that come on this page don't have the same attitude towards 'their' team.

I agree that Ally needs time - I just hope Whyte gives him time though, all managers have to start somewhere don't they?

Agree0 Disagree0

We should have done better, but i agree get behind ally and give him the season at least

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 23:08:14
Lads We Are The People. Yes tonight was dissapointing, let's not discount that but after reading most of the comments on this page I feel even more disappointed. Cmon what could of Ally done tonight to change the outcome. We missed vital chances and we have ourselves to blame. We should rally behind our team and take the good with the bad I was born with the motto Rangers Till I Die, its not just a passing comment it is what I live for as a Rangers supporter.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Was at the game tonight and my problem was i hate to say it a certain person posted missing again. too many back passes, non tackles or just pointing and looking. was like a man down and v frustrating for me - even though i like the guy. if its not working though the boss has to boss. not saying it was the answer but couldnt really have been worse if he changed it at least through the match.

Agree0 Disagree0

You were not born with any motto, shut up.

After that display tonight it was quite obvious that Whyte needs to spend the money he has promised but the fans are being blatently lied to.

No matter how we put it, we ARE being lied to and as paying customers, this nonsense has to stop.

SIGN MY PETITION TO MAKE THE MAJORITY SHAREHOLDERS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE OLD FIRM TO PUT THEIR MONEY WHERE THEIR MOUTH'S ARE TO BRING SCOTTISH FOOTBALL BACK UP TO A RESPECTFUL LEVEL.

Thanks,

Lewis

Petition ; www.ipetitions.com/petition/oldfirmshareholders/

Believable10 Unbelievable5

Whyte didnt spend for the champions league qualifier, wtf makes you think he will spend now that we are not in europe at all?

Certainly not your bloody online petition.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would've been more suitable at the start of the Summer, we've already blown £3.92 million on 6 flop players, and a loan for Kyle Bartley. So most positions are already filled with below quality players.

(Only 2 which look promising are Bartley and Bedoya)

Agree0 Disagree0

They can't spend money they don't have. You'd be better off starting a petition to have Edu, Broadfoot and Lafferty removed from the sqaud and bared from ever putting on a Rangers jersey again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Away ya dafty

Agree0 Disagree0

Ipetition.com/completefud

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye gies yer petition till I wipe ma arse with it .it's the sfa that's destroyed sxottish football

Agree0 Disagree0

And the old firm think that they could compete in the premiership? haha

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 23:04:05
if ally does not get a winger he needs his eyes looked at after to night needs someone who can go by 2 and3 player wee weiss would fitting in well

Believable10 Unbelievable6

Weiss was piss poor in 90% of games and is loved only by people who didnt attend games. just because he said he loved the club doesnt make him a player or able to kick the ball with his left foot

Agree0 Disagree0

A striker would be nice

Agree0 Disagree0

We need a striker hoo can finish bigist mistake was not geting miler back

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally knows this he isnt stupid, whyte has not backed him end of story.

"The one thing I would say is that I couldn't have got any more from my players and they gave us just about everything they had.''

More heart, soul and passion in a piece of bread.
What players was Ally watching?

Believable7 Unbelievable9

The same ones as me

Agree0 Disagree0

If that's the best they could do, we're up sh*t creek.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol more passion in a piece of bread my new fav quote ever

Agree0 Disagree0

This comment really worries me too. He also said 'overall he was satisfied with most aspects of the performance tonight'. WTF? I really fear for the future. We love you Ally but grow a pair and say what you're really thinking and feeling. More or less the same as the rest of us I hope.

Agree0 Disagree0

''The same ones as me'' Either a pointless smartarse answer or you're agreeing with him that those 11 players gave their all tonight? Where you watching it with your eyes closed..

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually the players were trying their hearts out and was one attack after the other. Unfortunately we were playing against time wasters and nothing was going in for us including two penalties. Whyte needs to buy a striker though. 55 titles here we go

Agree0 Disagree0

If they gave everything they had, Ally's in serious trouble.

Agree0 Disagree0

Must have been the Maribor players he was talking about, certainly wasn't ours.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Actually the players were trying their hearts out and was one attack after the other."

are you kidding me on? i was sitting in the govan front and felt like half of it was either passed sideways or back - and when it did go forward apart from to wylde on the deck would have been nice. right side was posted missing for most of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

And dont forget the our players are swimmers quote ali where did that one come from- were sinking but were all swimmers ? archie knox would put ther fear of death into this mob in the dressing room do you think mcdowell has the same effect ?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 22:55:57
Bring back barry , he wid a got the boys going the night I'm no caring wit anyone says since he left we have been missing a big hole in the middle of the park he wid fit right in there and allow davis to go forward

Believable11 Unbelievable14

Barry just signed for blackpool. are you serious.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed, you can say what you like about fergie but he made himself heard and demanded more from those around him. No leader tonight. Edu makes namouchi look like Laudrup.

Agree0 Disagree0

I like the edu/namouchi comparison. bring back emerson..

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 22:52:55
Absolutely terrible performance, no heart, no desire, no flair, dark days for ALL of Scotland, we can only look forward to 4 league games & 2 cup finals, not good enough.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

whyte had bids in for 2.1 mil - goodwillie, 3.5 juhasz, 1.7 verhoek. Thats 7.3 mil. So where is all that money? Me thinks he never had in it the first place and it was
all for the papers.

We dont get Juhasz (3.5) so get bocanegra (200K). We dont get verhoek (1.7) so we go for baker (200k). Goodwillie (2.1) and then nobody.

We have been lied to and the 'get behind the team brigade' have been blind to what is going on. Alistair Johnston knew the score and we didn't listen.

I feel sorry for my hero Super Ally. Was told there was money when there wasn't.

Dont mind not having money, used to it, but I wont as a paying customer, be lied to.

Believable15 Unbelievable3

How much money do you think Malmo and Maribor spent this summer??

Name me another team that lsot both Champions League and Europa League qualifiers with a £4m striker, £4m midfielder and guys on £20k+ a week and will feel sorry for Ally.

There are 6 teams in Champions League witha a smaller budget than us and Shamrock Rovers are in Europa League Four games against two poor teams and not a win - TAXI FOR ALLY

Souness please.

Agree0 Disagree0

You're on the wrong site there padraic

Thats it no more players dont expect any more signing who would want come any way after that performance

Believable9 Unbelievable1

25 Aug 2011 22:42:08
I may get shot down but,i feel for ally.he isnt getting the financial backing for the type of player he wants and we need.its ok shouting for his head but who do you replace him with?no one will touch us if they dont have money to spend.i for one want ally to stay and then judge him after the season.we need continuity and he will come good.

Believable13 Unbelievable4

He has to go I'm afraid - looks lost. All will be fine on Sunday he promises - should have saved that for tonight last week, weeke before etc. Not good enough. Broadfoot for McMillan - having a laugh. Ally saved would be a brave call to drop Perry and McMillan - well he did and he fckd up. HAS TO GO

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more

Sound like there is a lot of glory hunters out there Follow your team thru the good and the bad. How many of you so called fan were actally at ibrox tonight? It was empty

Believable16 Unbelievable2

Where you there? If so, are you happy to spend rediculous money for absurd lack of performances, eh?

Agree0 Disagree0

Glory hunters, yer having a giraffe pal, I wouldn't pay to watch Colin Nish like that,I knew that things were going to be bad when we lost our first game to a German amateur team the famous Glasgow Rangers should NEVER lose to an amateur team Wizard

Agree0 Disagree0

If you're happy to watch the team slowly imploding, then fine, thats up to you. No glory hunter here or fake fan or anything else you like to call us, just very concerned about the state of things and where we're going.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was there and have been going every game for 50yrs ,,, so i should be allowed to be critical after watching a poor performance .not blaming coisty but mcmillan had good performance on sat so shd have been in and i would give other young players a chnce now to show what they.ve got ...rangers till i die xx

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's get behind the team ally didn't miss the. Sitters in the hearts game or the European ties players did ,ally didn't get sent off or suspended players did ,totally new defence takes time to bed in ,continental teams are more comfortable with possession ,better vision better passing etc ,we have players who can't build from the back so play a long ball game ,easily mopped up however we can still win the league but need to realise we are only a big team in Scotland if you love the team get behind them

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 22:14:46
Jelavic will be outta here by 11.00pm Tues 31st August.

Believable14 Unbelievable15

Do you blame him. He had better get his shooting boots on then, coz tonight he couldn't hit a coo's archie with a banjo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why? he missed sitters in malmo and against maribor. why should he walk out? he might be good in spl but been rotten in europe bar one goal.

Agree0 Disagree0

One man doesnt make a team get the money buy someone else hes not the b all to end all...

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell him we know where there are other players who can put it in the net we should get enough for a couple of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bye then, cause he did not deliver when it counted either watp

Agree0 Disagree0

What year its wednesday the 31st

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so if he's gonna keep missing

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:55:31
safe to say that jelavic will want away before wednesday,,who would blame him

Believable17 Unbelievable14

Want away let him he cost us goals in malmo and maribor, ,he s done nothing in europe for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do so many rangers fans think jelavic is so good. he is no more than descent just like davis.

Agree0 Disagree0

What right would Jelavic have to want away? He was part of that shambles tonight and he missed his chances just like a few others who should be ashamed

Agree0 Disagree0

Who'd want him, he's not exactly setting the heather on fire

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic is here for at least 7 in a row

Agree0 Disagree0

He wasn't so good himself tonight. I think he has found his Level.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was just thinking the same we will sell him to balance the books now. shamefulthe players have seriously let the fans down silly bookings have cost us big time. personaly id sell whittaker and give jella what he is worth but he probs would not be interested now . oh well expect no new players now we dont need them.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is as much to blame £10 million ma arse

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic has not been great him self

Agree0 Disagree0

The way he played the night it looked like it

Agree0 Disagree0

We, fans of old firm sides, may as well wish the new side Old Firm United playing in England all the best. I've heard their starting lineup will consist of:

Jelavic, McGregor, Davis, Kayal, Izaguirre, Ledley, Hooper, Ki, Naismith, Papac, K Wilson and Commons. Forrest, Wylde, Brown and Wallace are also looking to join them in exchange for a fiver for the leckie metre at Ibrox and a replacement lightbulb for a floodlight at CP (after the shockwaves in the last thunderstorm broke it).

Samaras and Edu also wanted to jump ship but Celtic and Rangers wouldn't offer enough money.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:52:30
i have stood by mcoist so far stuck up for him and i will always be a rangers sfan but he must go for the good of the team and get someone with a bit experience in to do a job

Believable12 Unbelievable15

Its the players. TRUST ME. Mccoist learned from the best for half a decade. We shouldn't even need him to show up to the game against teams like maribor and malmo.

Agree0 Disagree0

What did mccoist do wrong tonight? 4-4-2 against pish like that and the players he picked is what the majority of us would have went for, 1-0 down and he went 4-3-3, the players are to blame not the manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Getting rid of super ally is not the answer im sure he is as gutted as all of us, he can take us forward, we cant go any further back, lets get behind our team for sunday, because im not sure i can handle being beat by the sheep

In ALLY I STILL TRUST

SHUGGY

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip man, ally is rangers to his core, don't u watch his interviews etc. Give the man a fair crack of the whip Jeezo

Ben & Lad

Agree0 Disagree0

Learned??? well how can he play broadfoot&edu dont get me started with ortiz

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist= legend. Stop being so fickle and give the man a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Lads We Are The People. Yes tonight was dissapointing, let's not discount that but after reading most of the comments on this page I feel even more disappointed. Cmon what could of Ally done tonight to change the outcome. We missed vital chances and we have ourselves to blame. We should rally behind our team and take the good with the bad You are born with motto Rangers Till I Die, its not just a passing comment it is what you live for as a Rangers supporter.

Agree0 Disagree0

John barnes = legend.

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute nonsense. Over the two legs the players on the park had enough chances to win the game. Its not Coistys fault some of our players missed many sitters. We are out and thats it, we need to get on with it and get behind McCoist instead of calling for his head. I fully believe he will take us to 4 in a row with the fans supporting him and not calling for his head so early in his tenure as manager of our great club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Legend doesn't equal good manager. If that is the qualification get Ally out and bring in Goughie but it doesn't. Lets hire a guy for his management skills?? Ally looks a great no 2 but doesnt look a no 1

Agree0 Disagree0

How will you know unless you give him a chance? is mr no2 wilkins the answer or ict butcher?

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:38:19
maribor done exactly what we done on our run to the uefa cup final. They defended high up, rode their luck a wee bit and nicked a vital goal. It happened to Fiorentina, Werder Bremen, Panathinikos so why should we be any different? we were denied a pen/possibly 2 and missed a few really good chances healy/lafferty. The team were unlucky, lets move on, win the league and have another go next season. McCoist will prove everyone wrong. I'm confident of that WATP.
J1985

Believable24 Unbelievable14

Could be an excuse but 4 games in Europe and not one to be proud of, what they do is nothing to do with the way we play, that's down to ally and the team and on those showings neither are good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip. No rangers fan shud hav such a laid back attitude after gettin put out of Europe in august by tWo pishy teams. So bcos we put they teams out like tht we hav to accept tht s**te. Your a disgrace

Agree0 Disagree0

Tonights result is no more than we deserve, ally is not the man for the job, his team lack discipline, skill, and imagination and I dont see any respect for ally. I hope he proves me wrong but with players like edu i doubt it . Only consolation is celtic dont look any better. Ally go now and safe any further embaressment

Agree0 Disagree0

Our players never dived (as much) or rolled around the ground as if a tank had run them over like the maribor players did. we never tried to get other teams kicked out of europe and admittedly we were rank.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said bud couldn't have said it better myself. Get behind the team now.
In Ally We Trust.
Followfollow81

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah your an idiot like our fans clapping celtic players at the end of tonight. Most normal fans understand its not down to being unlucky but fact we both suck.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id like to know how much the highest paid maribor player is on cause ill bet its nowhere near the wages rangers are paying their pish players

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree mate. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said.
All Scottish sides out of Europe, we're all in a mess. Let's get behind the team, win the league and have another pop next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on, there's a big difference there, them guys are one sweeties and our players are on thousands a week.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Could be an excuse"...

Hard work beats good talent. Remember that quote from years ago (Rangers v Ajax)?

Barcelona couldn't score against the Gers at Ibrox a few years back...does that make Barca a bad team? We had a new back line tonight, always needs time to gel. Give it time. Ally's the man.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said mate, how many maribor players would we expect to see in a rangers jersey??? none...yet they are still too good for us as a team,i dont know who to blame but scottish football sucks big time and if the espeel is all we have to look forward to winning every year then i think i will take up tiddlywinks

Agree0 Disagree0

Im 100% behind ally but he needs to sort out his players. te boookings these guys are picking up are idiotic lafferty got booked tonight for mouthing off naismith was banned for the same in the last leg there was something like 7 yellow cards not to mention that arseh*le whattaker (who in my opinion should be sold) geting sent off for throwing the ball at an opposing player? what the hell is going on this team are a shadow of the team that won 3 in a row.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think edu's new how much bedding in does that passenger need were bad with 11 with 10 well see for yourself.

Agree0 Disagree0

The team were unlucky, no they were not, the team were rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:37:48
in my opinion scottish football has past its glory days. unless there is a major financial change for ALL of the clubs in the spl, then i can safely say that its going to take alot to get out of the mess that we are ALL in.

Believable16 Unbelievable3

Celt fan here divided we stand united we fall this is not good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

I know theres no money in Scottish football but you cant tell me that malmo and maribor have got loads of money we were just rank rotten no excuse.

Agree0 Disagree0

Scottish football is dire. That's the truth, no-one is willing to put serious money into the game here and we're falling further and further behind other leagues.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, all that's missing is some financial security, a decent figure to allow the clubs to spend a bit

Agree0 Disagree0

Breaks my heart, but have to accept that we're now one Europes "Diddy" teams.

Agree0 Disagree0

Our biggest problem is that the old firm are trying to compete with England and lagging further and further behind. That in turn causes the rest of the SPL clubs to overstretch themselves trying to compete with the old firm. The whole house of cards will come crashing down unless there is a harsh dose of reality check.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to change the leagues , 2 divs , chance for the juniors to come up 4 games a season is hopeless....

Agree0 Disagree0

I know theres no money in Scottish football but you cant tell me that malmo and maribor have got loads of money we were just rank rotten no excuse.

yeah but if there was better opponents in our own league then we would not drop our playing ability as we do when we play st. mirren etc. ( no offence to them )

Agree0 Disagree0

We are behind teams from poland,cyprus,slovenia....next faroes will be doing better it just shows scottish football has no flair to it anymore its the same pass to the keeper and punts it back up for 90 mins depressing R.I.P SCOTTISH FOOTBALL...following the premier league and bundesliga only now

hsv sind da

Agree0 Disagree0

Get rid of the expensive foreign players. It's not the fact that we can't pay the wages. its the fact the the players on the big wages simply aren't good enough. I'd rather have 11 players on 500 quid a week runing their hearts out than watch 11 players on 10000 a week spunking it up a wall. Use the youth. Get rid of the dross.

Tired, stuttering, no invention, no drive, no passion, no skill, no composure...absolutely terrible showing from rangers tonight. The only one positive was that Perry never lost a ball in the air. Pathetic from Ally and the whole team and Whyte should hang his head in shame. Investment should have been made to progress us in the Champions league but instead he signed the slowest most talentless winger in Ortiz and now we'r a laughing stock in Europe's second tier competition.

Believable15 Unbelievable6

100% agree with you...

Agree0 Disagree0

We should have signed weiss he would have tore them apart edu ortiz useless you cannot win wi 9 men sorryt ally u have gotta give ray wilkins the job canny take no more

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit harsh I think, out of 180 minutes, 45 minutes let us down, we were unlucky. The tactical change that lost us the game was understandable. Too many players struggling for for is the main reason, but overall, we had plenty of chance's, REAL CHANCES, to win the tie. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Fuc*ing harsh? with idiots like ortiz edu mculloch broadfoot and whittaker geting a game this team are doomed to failure. how that edu manages to get a game is beond me as for ortiz what the hell did ally ever see in this boy? a winger with no pace?? ok, mculloch dont start me. whittaker should be shown the door i firmly blame him for us being knocked out the champions leauge first the goal he gifted with hid insane defending if u could call it defending then in the 2nd leg geting sent iff with 20 mins on the clock for hitting the boy with the ball? ID HAVE TRANSFER LISTED HIM. cheers ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah Edu, Ortiz should be nowhere near Glasgow Rangers. If we have no money then now is the time to put the faith entirely in the youth, play them all and let them shine. Only the best will make it, the others can be moved on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Perry was nowhere for the goal and his distribution was poor tonight, edu and Ortiz just not up to scrap, on the plus side Bocanegra looks a real steal as does goian.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:36:31
Gers need a creative midfielder, there was nobody in there who could open up a defence, young mr wylde can't cross a ball edu and broadfoot ain't no footballers. Getting beat by this team is a disgrace. We need players in but don't know if we have the money.

Believable14 Unbelievable5

Davis must be gutted he signed the long contract only decent player we have the rest have no technical ability.. go back to the drawing board I would rather he played young boys than the likes of Ortiz he is mince..

Agree0 Disagree0

We have needed a creative midfielder since Pedro Mendes but our scouts don't seem to be able to find one ANYWHERE

Agree0 Disagree0

Two words: bedoya and mckay

Agree0 Disagree0

Shocking performance apart from The lad Perry and Goian. Lafferty, Davis, Broadfoot, Edu, Ortiz were rotten. Jelavic slightly better than rotten. We had nothing to offer, no creativity, no bench to rely on. We got what we deserved against one of the worst teams to ever play at Ibrox. A disgrace, an embarrassment, a complete let-down and I'm off to my f'n bed

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye can no one at ibrox take a corner any more? iv never seen a game with so many poor corner kicks

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:35:44
There we go , shocking might ah say , but what is moaning and whinging about ally goin to do , we are bears and we should stick by the team what ever the result Watp

Believable10 Unbelievable13

Well said mate kay sara sara disapointing but some of these posts are pathetic

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:35:27
Its not going to get better :-(
Money has destroyed us, there is no way we will ever get the calibre of player to compete in the champs league/europe now.

Whyte cant and wont spend rediculous money to get people in and realistically even if we could afford higher wages nobody descent would come

Look at Goodwillie, saying he wanted to play against Man U, Chelsea, Liverpool etc.

Reality has just kicked in. WE NEED THE LEAGUE NOW, automatic qualification next yr. Pay Cheque woohoo

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Aye and 3 qualifyers the year after that woo hoo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whoever wins the league and gets Champions League money will dominate Scottish football for years as it will be the last for a while - lets hope its us

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:34:41
Very poor from Rangers. No clue in the middle of the park, no leader Am I the only one who feels that Davis is overrated? Sooner Bedoya and Mackay in there the better I am not usually this vocal against manager, but sorry Ally, you ain't gonna make the grade. Get Butch Wilkins in as manager, and then Whyte will splash cash

Believable11 Unbelievable13

Read through your post, - you don't need to worry about your team they got humped by Sion, Rangers created enough chances to win 5 matches, Its not ally's fault that Jela, Laff and healy missed chances that a bairn could have scored with, to say we were rotten is just lying, we were not brilliant agreed, but ffs listen to yourself what the fack has ray wilkins done as a manager

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with your thoughts on Davis, he is good but not that good, just good enough to give Maribor a close run for their money but not good enough to beat them. Edu is very similar. Great players against Hibs / ICT but simply not the quality that should be in a Rangers top.

Agree0 Disagree0

No wonder u dont post u talk thru ur ahole have u seen bedoya or mckay who knows if they r much better, as for wilkins many teams he managed? 0 so stop talking craig whyte {Ed003's Note - QPR?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Davis is a man playing on his own in midfieild the rest ar below average

Agree0 Disagree0

Excuse me davis is probably the best midfielder in the country and certainly one of the top 20 in britain so dont give us it

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes u r the only 1 that thinks davis is overrated fool

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont agree with your davis comment, think hes the only 1 in there with any clue trying 2 do it all on his own just like wee barry a few years ago he got lamented but its the same thing all over again

Agree0 Disagree0

Davis is carrying a midfield sooner we have naisy in there with him the better so you stop posting nonsense regarding players n get supporting the team. Ps guy up top spot on we did play well tonight created chances (should of had 1 if not 2 pens) Their goal gave them confidence and shut up shop we had the chances (healy one on one, Lafferty twice n Edu just to name a few) so just calm it son.

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys, not saying that Davo is no good, just overrated. Possibly the expectation of having to do it all. I take the feedback on board. And as for Wilkins, Chelsea collapsed last season after his departure. I have no gripes with ally, just that the dhims are just as bad as us at the moment, and they are`there for the taking

Agree0 Disagree0

Give ally time ffs, he has just started and has NOT been backed at all. the players he has got are from the non takeover list

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:29:15
Go now ally ur not up to the job And whyte the old saying you get what you pay for To many mediocre squad players no quality edu Broadfoot Healy Ortiz should be nowhere near the team and people can get the Rose coloured specs off regarding jelavic the guy is not interested done nothing tonight Healy god sake stevie wonder could have put that away absolute disgrace worst rangers team I've ever seen

Believable17 Unbelievable9

Can see big Jela being off the first opertunity amd dont blame him with crap players to work with. whyte get your wallet out

Agree0 Disagree0

Who could have walked in and done any better in such short time, the booing was a disgrace from the home support... get behind them, just bad luck

Agree0 Disagree0

Jelavic said Man Utd were interested in him. Who's he kidding, Rochdale wouldn't take him on these performances.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with jelavic part. was bought to play in europe, im sorry but he aint showed to much in european games for us so far. had umpteen chances n took 1.

Believable12 Unbelievable16

Nin ray wilkins - who has shown to be a brilliant no1 over the years. why so many posts saying he is the answer.

the answer for now is to get behind the current manager.

I am a bad looser but well done to Maribor. They stuck to the game plan and won fair.

Believable11 Unbelievable11

Well done to both Maribor and Sion. We didn't deserve to go through, Scottish football is in serious trouble.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair? they won because they took their one and only chance but that doesn't excuse their gymnastics and auditions for hollywood stunt men. But i will admit that neither of us deserved to go through..

T-Bear

Believable9 Unbelievable9

Aye shagger should be captain lol what a clown u are

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't see any natural leader in the team for the captain's armband. Why not shagger, can't be worse than any other surely.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shut up shagger as captain.

Disgrace We deserve better

Believable16 Unbelievable5

True knocked oot both comps aff minnow teems unacceptable

Agree0 Disagree0

Not with the players we have got right now. I play at a decent level and have played in some crap teams in my time and the decent players always look around and think to themselves, what is the standard like. Nazy, Jella and Shagger must be thinking WTF?

Agree0 Disagree0

We're dire, think we can forget any more signings this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:24:58
Both sets of fans should f*cking boycott this crap why are we wasting our hard earned cash and time when we could be spending it with our friends/family. Hope we (celtic) dont get a bye now dont deserve it. cant believe i feel sorry for gers fans but i do, shows how bad we have got.

Believable15 Unbelievable6

Feelings mutual i'm sure but i think we need to stick at it. Maybe go see our local teams once in a while? thought its still expensive these days and i certainly couldn't afford to do it. Must be some way ot get money back into scottish football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye, because that's the answer to all our problems.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:23:18
Now we know how sceptic felt last year, disgusted by the whole lot of them the night.Ally hasn't had a fair crack of the whip from this con man whyte, its not Allys fault he is doing his best but ids whyte?

Believable9 Unbelievable8

What has happened to rangers how can fans expect us to back the club when we are getting put out by average teams, players are not good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

This result along with recent results in europe show how poor our domestic league is when we get pumped by Malmo and Maribor, remember the aggregate scor with hibs v maribor a team from slovenia, then remember Unirea at ibrox 4-1 need i say more. Our league and player are techncialy poor and not fit enough as harry rednapp pointed out.. disgusted

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is it whytes fault thats three games ally has made poor decisions, ally is a legend but we need somebody experianced .. do you think sir walter would have made the same decisions no i didnt think so.. we need to be ruthless here or we could be f%%%ed for a couple of seasons

Agree0 Disagree0

No european footy for a long while.
No european footy no money comes in.
White wont spend now, so with no money coming in.
Things look bleak
Ray Wilkins is our only hope

Agree0 Disagree0

Think there's more to it than that. seltic had the same problem, they got put out so how is it down to OUR owner? just because he's not brought in huge signings doesn't mean we should be allowed to lose against these part timers. No one to blame but the lads on the pitch. We switched off in Maribor and we paid for it. We can't deal with the pressure by the looks of it... and for those who're questioning healy's lack of involvement have their answer tonight: another james beattie. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree0

It is like a perfect storm, bad team inherited from world class manager getting the most out of avereage players, injuries, new owner, new manager and underperformers all over the place. Dont think we are not at our lowest point yet...

Agree0 Disagree0

Can we please waken up, Rangers played decent tonight, the 2 centres Ally has brought in were excellent, we went to sleep for 2 minutes and paid the ultimate price, the champions this year go straight into the chapion league, I honestly think we need 2 attack minded players and we will win the league quite easily. Get the heads up champs

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:21:57
celtic fan, will you all join me in putting a shout out to both old firm owners/major shareholders that we have had enough of this crap. We are Celtic and Rangers not f*cking hearts and hibs. We deserve better investment in our teams when both have owners that are super rich, next to no debt and worldwide fan base. Sion and Maribor should be getting pumped 3 or 4 nil.

Believable23 Unbelievable2

Couldnt agree more mate. step up and pay whyte

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree, both sets of fans deserve better than the dross we're being served up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldnt agree more, maybe this shambles will help unite Rangers and Celtic fans into a single voice for change to our game because this isn't working at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said its terrible for the whol;e of scottish football no european football in august, its unreal, scotland will be in pot 6 for euro 2016 at this rate with san marino and the faroeS,

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers fan..I totally agree with you 100%

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a Petition going and ii will happily sign it, I'm rangers threw and threew but I am getting sick of watching these players

Agree0 Disagree0

HEAR HEAR next games bring rangers and celtic TOGETHER and show the team we have given up on them see how they like it

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the one of the first times i've agreed wae a celtic fan, but ur completely right

weeblue

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone should step up and boycott there games, they'll see what its like for us when our players dont turn up on the night

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow man every rangers fan agreed with me (a celtic fan) can't believe it lol must be some sort of record without telling me to pss off back to the runners up page lol. Seriously though glad everyone agrees and we either boycott or stand up to our owners, just once actually do it. goodnight.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a great idea - lets stop supporting our teams because all the other leagues now have more money than us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maribor dont have more money than rangers my friend. neither do shamrock rovers who qualified.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 21:21:01

To all the players who let us down tonight, if they're on an appearance bonus they should either hand it back tonight to Ally or give it to Yorkhill Sick kids hospital.. Show some humility

Believable17 Unbelievable0

Let them keep their apearance money and hope they can buy a goal with it. Poor finishing all round including big Jelavic who I rate.....Billy

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think they will get a bonus for that lmao healy YOU kidding me he had 2 shots INFRONT of goal and missed them

i am a celtic supporter both off our teams are pi,,i would sack the 2 managers they have not got a fu...clue scottish football is the worse league in the world just proved that tonight

Believable14 Unbelievable7

100% agree both must go

Agree0 Disagree0

100% AGREE WITH YOU SCOTTISH FOOTBALL IS DEAD NOW.....hsv sind da

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing to do with the manager's. We're now in a 2nd rate league with players who think they're world class. The players need a reality check. Paid millions to look average. Big Jose could do nothing with either side. Time for Scottish football to take a look at itself and the old firm mangers to put their heads together for a solution (youth?) and get this sorted once and for all. Two former UEFA finalists out at this stage, a disgrace.

Agree0 Disagree0

I blame scottish society and govenrment for not investing in coaching and facilities..from an early age though to teens... if you travel to Holland and Spain you can see the facilities on every street corner in the suburbs, our society is a bunch of kebab eating lazy feckers. Sacking the managers won't help we need to fix the deep rooted issues..

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 20:56:28
Mccoist and whyte both need to go. Ive been a ger all my life but this pair are gonna ruin us

Believable13 Unbelievable7

Were well on our way to be ruined anyway in terms of reputation, standard and pride. Fans deserve something in return for loyalty. Loyalty with no reward

Agree0 Disagree0

What age are you 10yrs old. Catch a grip.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree.i sold my season ticket and am glad i did,f*** paying to watch that pish.

Ok you find someone tae put their money in to buy the club and find a rangers legend who loves the club to manage them.

Agree0 Disagree0

25 Aug 2011 20:49:02
After tonights result, I fear what Whyte will do with McCoist

Believable13 Unbelievable2

Hopefully Ally will realise its time to walk before Whyte gives hime the push

Agree0 Disagree0

It is a results business and the results have not been good... We should give Ally the backing but for how long?

Agree0 Disagree0

He has been assistant manager of Scotland under Smith assistant manager of Rangers under Smith if that does not help then nothing will.He was advised by many posters to get players in early instead we have a team of headless chickens jmo

Agree0 Disagree0

When are we going to stop blaming coisty & start blaming the players. We had plenty of chances to score but couldn't take them

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not allys fault i blame whyte for not supplying the cash for decent players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers have bought mediocre players , whytes fault

Can't defend Ally/Whyte any more after this. Too many dud buys and we paid the price. shocking.

Ally must go now surely he ain't a manager

Believable12 Unbelievable9

Goal, c'mon Ally get them fired up.

Agree0 Disagree0

David healy OMG what a miss

Agree0 Disagree0

Half the team shouldn't be in the squad either, not all Ally's fault but God he's shocking as a manager. Empty promises about how we could rest assured the team would be going for it tonight,

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not all Ally's fault. We've too many duffers in the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

He should get the boot just for signing Ortiz there no way he can stay now

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally ain't a manager he's a pundit who gives u a laugh get Billy Davies in ASAP

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcoist not got a clue rushed down fae the stand then stood with his arms folded no passion no fight no shape no quality think time could b up. we have been watchin rubbish for long enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just lol at all those above statements n get a grip 6 games in aye ok bad start in Europe but we havent been as bad as made out to be just wait until may we still have 2 players to come in (Bedoya n McKay) and Naismith, bartley were missing tonight give the team a chance to get playing together and settled

Agree0 Disagree0

Give Ally a chance, it's the players that need a boot up their backsides, too many with big egos and no talent to back it up

I think Weiss is trying to force a loan deal to Rangers. His comments on SSN are basically that he has had a loan offer but cant name the club or the league and he sure if Man City will accept it. We went for him and were told no by Manchini. Perhaps Mccoist has been in touch to say its not that they didnt want him, it was Man City blocking a loan and they cant afford to buy him. Now that he wants to leave it will may be be possible. Wigan are trying to sign him on a permanent but it's not them as Weiss is talking about a loan deal he is trying to get and its not financially as good as Dynamo had to offer. Makes sense to me that it's Rangers. I don't get why all these fans say they don't want him. He has talent and he is available on a bosman next year. I wish all the players had Weiss' passion for the club. He might not always have been a Bear but he's been here, seen what we are about and now loves the club. The fans that is criticising people like me who want Weiss here are the same fans that walked about with Negri and Guivarc'h on their shirts. Right wing should be Weiss and most certainly not Ortiz.

Believable15 Unbelievable4

We need weiss tonight and naismith we are desperate up front its a sad joke we dont have decent forwards in reserve

Believable4 Unbelievable3

I was at the game and clearly you have only watched Rangers twice this season or something. Wallace is a quality player n a gd signing. Bocanegra and Goian at cb looked comfortable and composed. Davis wasn't great but he is not over rated Get a grip if you think that

He is a free agent and scored four goals at the world cup. He used to play for a nobody turkish team so his wage demands will not be that high

Sorry but did you say never play for Rangers ? Did he ever ?

Ouch, poor james,i must admit thought he would have done so much better.i think he needs to move on,and get his mojo back,he is a top lad though.wish him well.

rangers in for real madrid superstar fernando gago perminate and we are intrested in a name of el hadji diouf sources stv and ally said we were on ssn tv

Believable3 Unbelievable6

No chance we will get gago .

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance gago will come to rangers, and do you really want diouf back, what did he do except wind up that lot

Agree0 Disagree0

I have used google translate for the post on STV transfer page

Gago, who out of contract in 2013, is studying the proposal of Rome Luis Enrique and Glasgow Rangers as a last resort. The cost is eight million. The Argentine has assumed that has no place in Real Madrid. The problem is finding an entity that pays its 2.2 million annual tab net.

Why dont we have a look at Matias Suarez of Anderlecht. Contract is up in 2013 and we could probably snatch him for about 2-2.5m. Would be a quality signing and would supply the business for Jelavic.

does anyone else think that tom hateley would be worth a bid, very steady player great set piece ability and may not be a starter but the bench is weak n he'd do a great job i think

Believable18 Unbelievable17

Can you tell me where he would play at rangers if its right back is different from what we have got

Agree0 Disagree0

I think for his delivery at corners and set pieces alone he would be invaluable. I dare say through his dad, he is also a die hard. He is surely a better option than Whittaker at right back? Just think of the opportunities he would provide for big Jelavic Buy him Ally, he will cost peanuts

Agree0 Disagree0

Nope he is rotten and wouldnt improve our team one bit

Agree0 Disagree0

Sell Broadfoot and bring in Hateley, one for the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. I would see him as a decent squad addition. Nothing to lose by signing him. #justsayin

Agree0 Disagree0

If he wasn't Mark Hateley son we would even suggest him, Motherwell is his level.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its almost worth it just to have Hateley back on the team sheet. Tom's OK would be a decent squad player but I think if he was going to do anything special it would have happened by now. Wasn't he released by the mighty Reading a few years back?

Socceroo Matt McKay has been granted his visa to play in the UK. Sydney Morning Herald.

Rangers will win the SPL for the 55th time
WATP

Believable12 Unbelievable7

After translating and reading that article myself I would have to say that Gago is not going to sign for us. It seems that they want 8mil euro fee and that Gago is on a net take home of 2.2mil euro a year. We will never match those fees and wages

Slovenians won’t appeal on Carlos Bocanegra

Maribor general manager Stipe Jeric today said the Slovenian club will NOT appeal against Uefa’s verdict that Carlos Bocanegra was eligible to play for Rangers against them last week.

Maribor, who are leading 2-1 in the Europa League qualifier, had claimed that Bocanegra should have been ineligible for the first leg last week.

However, European football’s governing body had no hesitation in booting out the complaint which has caused a storm of controversy in the last 48 hours.

And Jeric has admitted his club won’t be taking the matter further, even if they crash out of the competition at Ibrox this evening.

We WILL sign another striker We signed Naismith on deadline day, correct me if I'm wrong. In my opinion I think it'll be Adam Le Fondre. Would've loved Ivan Trickovski but now that Apoel have reached the group stages I cant see that happening. WATP.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

I hope its not Le Fondre at the time i didnt want to see Boyd leave but we cant go buying another lazy striker tht end up only scoring against sh*t teams when weer winning 3-0 hes slow and lazy. We need a little speedster up there to give us the option of goin over the top and so we can break with pace rangers have proved to be a great team on the counter so we should play to this.

Seems to be some pessimism regarding us not making any more signings. If I remember correctly we signed Davis on deadline day loan I'm sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, However the point is anything can happen and I believe we will bring in another striker. I love the Gago rumour, the tweets are going crazy Lets face it that aint gonna happen.

GDog
WATP

Believable6 Unbelievable3

I completely agree G dog. Best business can be done at the end of the window when clubs are out of europe and have to sell and also drop asking prices for their players. Players drop demands in a rush for deals to be put through and believe we will sign 1 more perm deal prob a striker or diouf and 1 or 2 loans. Also im on par with this whole Gago thing where did it come from? Love to see this happen but the only way it will is if you go and get yorself a nice wee copy of Football manager lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely it will reach stage we have to unload some before other signings.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes that stage will come when we have a regular sized squad remember Ally has hadto build upwards from a squad of around 15 16 senior players we need around 22 23 before we even think about selling unless you are selling to buy in the case that we should have taken the 1.5 from bursa for whittaker n brought back Hutton

Matt McKay is moving to Rangers from Brisbane Roar but will remain to play two international games. Pic:

Matt McKay has been granted his work permit to complete a move to Rangers, but won’t travel to Scotland until September 7.

The midfielder agreed his transfer from Brisbane Roar earlier this month but had to wait for his paperwork to be processed in Australia, with a decision finally being made on Thursday.

McKay is clear to start his Rangers career but will remain in his homeland to play for his national side in two World Cup qualifiers against Thailand and Saudi Arabia, and could make his club debut against Dundee United on September 10.

"I just got my visa today and I'm really excited,” McKay told Rangers’ official website. “It took a bit longer than I expected but it's great to get it all sorted now.

“I'm staying back in Australia to play in our World Cup games as it's a long way to go to Scotland in time for the game at the weekend and it makes more sense to stay here now.

“But our second game is in Saudi Arabia so I'll go to Scotland from there so that I arrive in Glasgow on September 7.

“I'll be ready for the Dundee United match just after that. I'm used to the travelling and quick turnarounds after internationals in Europe so I'm prepared and all set to go.

“I just want to play now. Our longest wait was for my work permit but once that came I was delighted and now the visa is through too I can concentrate on playing for Rangers.”

The transfer window is still open and util it closes there's still a chance of signing more players so wait and see instead of being so pessimistic

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats a bit pessimistic. window not shut yet and no one from rangers has come out and said we no longer have the money.

Agree0 Disagree0

People keep saying we have no money, i doubt very much Rangers would be putting in bids up to 8-9 million a few weeks ago and also Whyte coming out in the press saying there is money for transfers if he didnt have it, i think we will see a decent striker and maybe 2 loan deals before it closes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I think Ally will bring in one or two new faces before the window shuts ad like to see one attacking player and one more FWD and one more CDM And We'd be sorted. Perry and Hutton two for the future. Ger4life

Why dream on? Vagner Love has had a downfall in his career and fell short of anticipated potential. Agree0 Disagree0

No chance. 1 or 2

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so,
fingers crossed as we havent spent anything yet, the money from bougy and adam has covered signings till now.
and before all you say we have renewed contracts on shagger etc, surley thier contracts must be inline with the wage structure and shouldnt effect transfer money, if it does what sort of way is that to run a biz.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance, 1 or 2 loanees and thats it. Livermore is a possibility and so is McEachren after he stated he would like to go on loan on SSN.

Agree0 Disagree0

Given that much talked about (including comments from within the club) targets did not arrive maybe their is logic in your optimism.

Agree0 Disagree0

Defo marque striker i think

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love this myself and feel its just what Mr Whyte and Ally need to get some of our lesser commited fans back behind them. Although i think this rely's on many things does Whyte have enough faith in Ally? Can we actually keep targets quiet enough to sign them so far i dont think so? Do we have enough experience behind the scenes to push through deals for top players? I think we can expect a loan signing on deadline day not sure who or of what caliber i just have a hunch. and IMO i think Diouf will be the only other permanent deal if he takes the pay cut.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so,
fingers crossed as we havent spent anything yet, the money from bougy and adam has covered signings till now.

The contracts they signed were much more than could have been offered before the takeover. this will all be taken into account by whyte in terms of the money available for transfers now.

Rangers are considering a move for Swiss player Valentin Stocker.

Believable4 Unbelievable10

A very good player - if only it were true

Agree0 Disagree0

NO THEY ARE NOT BS ARTIST

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool were quoted a transfer fee of between 5 and 6 million Eoros just a few months ago for him so that knocks this rumour right on the head

Agree0 Disagree0

5 million euros is around 4 and a half million pounds and he was valued at 5million in november 2010 nearly a year ago making his contract now 1 year shorter and in return bringing down his value to round about what we paid for Jela I dont believe we have this kind of money to spend but this is far from "knocked on the head" as in football anything is possibble

Agree0 Disagree0

It has been knocked on the head but clearly you don't want to believe it and are manipulating the figures to suit your own argument.

I would love Rangers to get this guy but he's completely outwith our budget (aren't they all)

A lot of top teams throughout Europe know htis guy's a rising star and there's absolutely no chance of us getting him. Nice thought though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know much about this player but i do know he is currently out with a Cruciate Ligament Rupture until November.
So doubt it

No new striker has arrived and
McCoist can’t be sure of getting any
money to go for one now unless
there is Europa League group income.

the hearld

Blue bells are blue.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

I've just looked at the herald sport and I cant see this statement, have I missed it or is it nonsense?

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt they are relying on Europa League income to sign players. you get a pitatnce for being in that competition.

Reported in De Telegraph today that Glasgow Rangers are back in for Den Haags Wesley Verhoek ...
Bid of £3mill is quoted. Player had stated he wanted to remain in Holland but appears to be bound for Scotland

It was on the main page

Believable13 Unbelievable12

He will not be at Ibrox this season

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt it very very much and even if he did, would Rangers now spend the money and take the risk on him getting homesick? No.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see anything about it on the dailly telegraph website, you sure your not reading a paper from July ?

Agree0 Disagree0

A sad wee timothy making sh*t up

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a thing about this on Twitter, not one post. I find that odd if it was apparently reported in a newspaper.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your about 5 weeks too late hes not leaving Holland.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not in the daily telegraph or de telegraaf that I can see. Doubt we would be in for any more midfielders now anyway. We've got them coming out our ears...

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would rangers bid more than what was accepted from forest making him worth more won't cure homesickness

Agree0 Disagree0

He never said the Daily Telegraph, it's in the Dutch paper De Telegraph. This was the plan all along, Verhoek was told by Rangers to wait until the last week of the transfer window. This is the reason he pulled out of the Nottm Forest move. What a signing

Agree0 Disagree0

Supply the link then if you are so confident?

Agree0 Disagree0

Searched telegraaf.nl website and there is no mention of this. Last time there was any referenece to Verhoek and Rangers it was the beginning of the month when he decided to stay in Holland. Looks like this has been made up. Why oh why...

Agree0 Disagree0

" he will not be at Ibrox this season " How the f**king hell do YOU know ? That reply is very arrogant, what a total @rsehole you are............... " he will not be at ibrox this season " FFS, Ya toss-pot. I hope he IS and then it's a big GIRUY................

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see it in Da Telegraaf either

Agree0 Disagree0

What a signing lol - its not mentioned anywhere else including the Dutch paper mentioned in the original source.

No chance of Trickovski now, APOEL result tonight put them into the group stages. Set up 2 goals. Really disappointed we didnt take a chance on him earlier in the window, wouldnt have cost too much at that time.

TrueBlue

Believable4 Unbelievable3

They played on Tuesday

Agree0 Disagree0

Was full of confidence as well said after first leg he couldnt w8 to see who they got in group stages big boys will be chapping on his door after group stages cracking player shame

Agree0 Disagree0

Soz, got my days mixed up, just saw the highlights in background there n thought they had played on wed. Anyway, doesnt really make a diff to the point i made does it? Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Too many fans assume that a foreign name means he will be a great player.

What do you actually know about this guy? Have you watched him much?

Just because his name is not Davie Smith doesn't mean he will be a great player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Iv seen him play a few times, n hes always impressed. Young, with plenty of ability and a good team player. Big reason why apoel won the league last year, in his first season there. Now hes took them to the group stages (even big jela never managed that). Full internationalist with an up n coming nation who no one sees as cannon fodder anymore (think they also beat us a few year ago). The guy would have been a great signing and could have been signed for less than goodwillie. Now, i ask u, why do u assume because UV never heard of him he isnt any good? Ud prefer le fondre eh? Lol away n read up on things b4 u post in future pal

Agree0 Disagree0

No doubt about it be a huge star in the future reminds me of Mols (before injury) has too good feet scores goals and can pick a pass as well would have been a real team player( not a look at what a did player more of a look what my team did type of guy) he will stick out a mile in the group stages, would have been a steal at £1.5 and was interested in coming to us GUTTED

Agree0 Disagree0

Just dont get it. We could have had four players (weiss, juhasz, trickovski, goodwillie) who were desperate/looking to join, but we let them go/missed out for silly reasons. Apart from prob juhasz, each one of those would be worth double what we would have paid in a few years time, at least.
