Well its a tough one, i think we could be in trouble but you never know the players might just be able to find that bit extra and excell themselves. After all the ill feeling towards the spl sides the players may just be pumped right up for it or just pumped lol, suppose we just have to wait and see but i urge us all to stay optimistic. The problem is if we get beat people will be wanting ally gone, they already do, but if we win, it will be oh ally is our saviour, we are in 3rd division remember and its an spl side we are playing so we are not favourites. If we get beat then thats what most people expect so why should he be sacked for losing a game that everyone thinks we will lose anyway, and if we win then its a crackin result is it not?

Aye your right but as long as we play the boy from brazil its not going to happen how ally signed this guy il never know higdon will rip him to shreds

People needs to get off Ally's back. He's a 100% ranger, 110% in fact. How do you think he feels when others don't give the same ? WATP. So is Ally through and through, he stood by all summer and conducted himself as a true Ranger, the same as us, through and through. Accept him and get on with being part of the 45 000 ....every other Saturday is our half day off, Don't expect the impossible, but never question his Rangers desire

'How Ally signed him'? Probably spoke to his agent etc. and offered the player a deal then got the club to do the necessary paperwork lol

Whos the guy who went on the super ally rant? I dont think anyone is questioning the guys heart and loyalty. Its the managerial ability
Agree0

Agree ally is the truest blue to ever live. his managerial ability? wait lets see, hmm, admin, lose nearly all first team players, made new co. the guy aint gt a penny to spend. when whyte was in charge the only player he bought over 1m was wallace, and whyte only paid about 700k of that fee! managers before were spending 2m 3m on player, ally is reduced to 100ks. get of his back. even walter when lloyds were in charge had jelavic at 5m, plus players like naismith, davis mcgregor. cmon look at it properly!

The above post, you seem to be forgetting the 15 point lead he lost last season! Also being papped out of Europe which in turn was possibly the catalyst to all that eventuated! Plus when good cup runs were required his management skills were once again found out! So I think that you have to be honest with yourself here, ally was found long before your list of excuses was even a creditable argument!
Face the guy may have been a great servant to rangers as a player but as a manager he is possibly the worst in rangers history!
Lets face it, if rangers were not in the position they have found themselves today, would ally still be manager? I don't think so! Do you?

To all the 45000 Rangers fans who pitched up today, one huge thanks from one in South Africa. Got to keep it going when winter kicks in. These are the fans that stand by the club and get what it's all about. The anti McCoist lot on this site should choose another club and give us all a break.

It was worrying up until 2-1.
1-1 at half time, at home, against the second bottom team in Scottish football isn't acceptable. The silence at half time spoke volumes. If it ended a draw or a loss, Ally would have had to go today.

I only want whats best for rangers
we need to wait and see if its ally,at the end of the day its the league we must win after today things are slowly coming together but this team lacks guts and its up to him to give them some fire in there belly...les

Fantastic attendance today, highest attendance in scotland! Which is even more amazing the fact it was an unsociable kick off time compared to the standard 3pm saturday

Rangers TV (I'm in the Netherlands) had the game advertised as "Rangers v Queen of Montrose"...

Instead of talking gash about mccoist getting sacked, lets talk about the young players who played today. First of all well done lewis mcleod. Second well done fraiser aird. Another promising young ger. Well done lads!!

Since when was a football match won at half time? It doesn't matter what the score is at half time. It's full time which counts. And Montrose scored via an own goal. Didn't see them carve us open once today. Could have been 7 or 8 in all fairness.

Ally's job is to see that this team get us out of this league, into the next. That's priority No 1! So long as he does that for now, I for one am happy. You don't walk all over any league, regardless of who you are, or what league you've come from! If we support Ally and the team 1 game at a time we will definitely come good. Ally MIGHT only be here to get us through the lower leagues, so lets get behind him. Great turnout!

At £6 a ticket this will create a new generation of support. Again well done to the 45000 people. Down at London over the weeked. I can assure you even some English teams are jealous of our magnificent fans.

Six quid a ticket yoo jealous cuz wee 3rd division rangers are getting higher attendances then celtic

The cheap seats always sell out fast.
If only Carlsberg did crowds!

Tbh more spl clubs should be dropping children tickets to under £5 and get a new generation of kids into supporting their team, then when they are adults they will be willing to buy full price tickets

I could get us out of the third division, that's not a measure of ability

I agree with the post regarding his no. 1 priority being getting out of the league. However once he establishes a decent lead I would like to see him establishing a decent brand of football. The football we are being subjected to is dreadful. I don't want Ally trying to emulate Sir Walter and his brand of football I want him to develop his own. Right now all the fans are going to the matches because they love rangers the club, but wouldn't it be great if they were going because of the football was entertaining?.....Zikos.

I was there and top be honest the crowd was nothing like 45k.
Club deck empty, plenty of empty seats and away sección not full.
A full house is just over 50k so with the club deck empty there was no way it was 45k there.
Clever from green though, it gets us onside and makes others want to be there as well..

Big Jim D get a grip mate :)) charles green cant just make up attendances :)) there are mathc officials who check this sort of thing and i doubt a website new would put its reputation on the line by broadcasting it all over there tv channel, think there could be a wee tim in disguise here :)) {Ed001's Note - the attendances are, and have to be, based on ticket sales. It doesn't matter if every season ticket holder can't make the game, they would still have to be included in the attendance figures.}
