Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

Just heard a rumour that SKY has a statement prepared should Rangers fold that may be the final nail in the coffin of the SPL. The current TV agreement from 2009 allows the SPL to leave this year, Sky have also a get out clause.
Sky is supposedly not only concerned about the possibility of no Old Firm games but also reduced income from Rangers Supporters dropping Sky Sports. This is also supposedly creating alarm in the SPL halls of management, If Rangers go under and Craig Whyte reinvents the product with a clean slate under the rules we do not automatically remain within the SPL. The loss of TV income and no travelling support from Gers fans will quickly kill the smaller clubs who are already in deep financial dodo, this in turn leaves Celtic with no one to play and diluted income opportunities, fans will soon be bored with the poor standard and big name players just won’t want to play up here.
Its rather ironic that Whyte might be the best hope for the SPL,for the near future anyway, as he stated earlier he was the only one to step up to the plate however had to laugh today as the dhim bloggers are now tweeting and calling for the SFA to investigate his fitness as a director under rule, talk about Turkeys voting for Christmas. But of course it’s just a rumour.

Interesting, even if this is just some made up sh1t there are a few scenarios here worth thinking about.
Cheers mystery poster, a bit more interesting than the regular dirge that's been posted of late.

LOL you lot are still worrying about what IS going to happen You may not fold but THE TAXCASE is not going anywhere but against you lot. Even the dodgy SO called business man Craig Whyte will not sweep this under the Rug SO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE BEANS.
Anyway expect nothing more than a win emora your Noisey cousins will to everything they can tae help out a family member in need..

16KEANO..

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol I am so glad we have all these people who have moles in every club and sports orgaisation. Get real Rangers wont go bust but Whyte is a bit of a scumbag by all accounts and whatever way makes most money for him, that will be the way he goes

Agree0 Disagree0

16 keano killie 3-0 up at ht then they ship in three goals to you lot by ft, so did they help you out or was it just a grat fightbby a team with no fight in it ?? lol s.p.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, if rangers went bust, it would be the end of the SPL, no more tv revenue, much less travelling support so less income for small clubs, and the co efficient would drop so low, celtic who would win leage after league in a boring SPL wouldn't even get the chance to qualify for the champs league anymore, celtic need rangers and rangers need celtic, and the SPL need both.

Agree0 Disagree0

Planet zogg mate. You don't have a clue. If you did you would not be posting on here, you would have a multi national to run.

Oranjeboom

Agree0 Disagree0

All u ger fans get behind this club which is already steeped in the history books for 2 reasons 1st 50 titles 2nd 100 trophies and counting the bbc are nothing but scumbags as all they care about is the tv lience paid every year they r trying to destroy a graet club and we all must do anything to prevent rangers from going under and by the way i still cannot believe that john greg has left the club he served so well over the decades, long live the light blues.john.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the wee teddy bears are dumped into administration then thats the end of the spl, while the taxmen scumbags who are all over rangers should have a good long look in the mirror as the bankers and the fat f--ks who run them are not tax the way they should be and if i was a gers executive i would move my money out of rbs as they are the lowest of the low for making rangers sell players to suit themselves why is this persistent attack on this most famous worldwide, you bankers get of the back of our club you lowlife scumbags,as for whyte he better be the real deal and not rob from the club sir david murray who put his money where his mouth is over the last 2 or 3 decades.john.

Agree0 Disagree0

Clutching at straws! Ha Ha Ha! Please SPL/Celtic don't relegate us!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Where do people get this Whyte is a scumbag from? he's caused 0 damage to Rangers, he's the fan who took it upon himself after a successful career in other businesses to try and help Rangers financial problems, it's not like we're having trouble on the pitch we're dominating Scottish football. It was Murray who left Rangers in a financial state, Whyte has done nothing but bring in quality players such as Lee Wallace, Carlos Bocanegra, Dorin Goian amongst others.

Agree0 Disagree0

Omg too many tims on this page - I never troll your page - my interests are with rangers I suggest u worry bout your own team

Mattie

Agree0 Disagree0

CW is a businessman, that's the long and short of it. His plan has always been to enter administration, restructure with no debt and then sell for a handsome profit. That is how he operates and anyone who thinks otherwise is deluding themself.

Agree0 Disagree0

Told all you timms that seem to find all this rather funny ages ago if we go under you lot are finished cos sky wont want to invest in spl. anyway i expect rangers to go in to administration before the tax case so we dont need to pay any money to the tax man it looks like the best option for the future of the club from where im sat. anyway not to worried in any case the manky mob are so poor you could deduct 20 points off us and we will win the spl. the problem with administration is there will be trading restrictions placed on the club but maby thats a good thing for the young lads at murray park. oh by the way timmothy ever considered rangers may have no casse to answer?. it might just happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

If rangers did cease to exist ( which I'm 100% convinced they won't ) would it really kill the SPL and make attendances lower? would the 10s of thousands that turn up at ibrox every other week and the further thousands that travel all over the country with them just stop going to football or would they then start going to watch the local teams and thus increasing revenue for them and allowing them to grow?? just thought I would put that thought out there

Agree0 Disagree0

Not possible for Rangers to go bust, our assets total far more than any of the suggested potential debts.

pappy

Agree0 Disagree0

If rangers went bust i would definitely not go and watch smaller teams

Agree0 Disagree0

There are two strong rumours circulating Glasgow at the moment concerning a certain clubs ability to pay its players in 5 days time. The source of these rumours are the people who told you a long time ago - way before the media would even admit it - that Rangers were in serious financial trouble and time and time again since then. Much to the annoyance of a certain club, and its media lackeys. Story has it that (un)said club will either a) not manage to pay all of its players on 28th or that after paying somemost of them will go into administration.

Agree0 Disagree0

There are always strong rumours circulating in glasgow! why bother wasting time with this nonsense on here?because if it happens then the BBC will tell us and every friggin paper in the land will be jumping up and down going we told you so! You cant gloat till it happens son...but what if it does,nt?

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter rubbish. I am sick sore and tired of fans saying that it would be bad for the spl if Rangers go into administration or that it would be a good way of sorting out our debts. Bottom line is that if it were to happening it would be an embarrasment and a disgrace - everything else carries little relevance in my book.

Agree0 Disagree0

The 'Laptop Loyal', led by the PR mouthpiece Daily Record (deafening silence re what will happen this Friday) are enabling Rangers fans to linger in denial. What will happen when wages are not paid.

diouf is going to west ham that's a shame i would have liked to see him back at ibrox he maby wasn't the best player i have ever seen but he was a trier and put 100 percent in and loved to win i will get slated for this but oh well everybody entitled to there opinion

Believable12 Unbelievable18

Spot on, consider yourself a roof after repairs...SLATED!
In my humble opinion Diouf was a hanger on, a waste of space and an unashamed badge kisser..nothing more!
only my opinion though dude

Baybear

Agree0 Disagree0

Second that emotion a real scumbag sorry I should specify I mean Diouff and not the other scumbag whos owns you currently

Agree0 Disagree0

Diouf should never have wore a gers top you's and every other team in scotland are trying to Stop this BIGOT stuff.
Then you's go and Sign that DIRTY SCUM BAG. Who in the past as 1. spat on a young fan, 2. beat up his wife, 3. Stood over a player who broke there leg and mocked them, The list is long same as always but we all know why THAT RAT was signed. To hassle and irate other teams fans. PURE AND SIMPLE.

16keano

Agree0 Disagree0

16keano what a short memory you have, look only to your name for the former Celtic player who deliberately ended a players career and then snarled at him about it AND seems proud about it to the point he wrote it in his autobiography. And then what about Chris Sutton, former Celtic centre forward and all round t**t?? He was done for spitting at someone too wasn't he?? How about your current manager, did he not send many threatening texts and calls to his pregnant former girlfriend??? Beat it and mind the gap loser, anyway back on topic I personally never wanted to see us sign Diouf and was glad we didn't go back in for him this summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and 16keano, what about the Celtic fans who coined a young ballboy making him need hospital treatment only 5 months ago? people in glass houses.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Doiuff ,the guy said he was coming 2 win the league and did,get over it 16keano

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye but apart from the spitting, the beating and the mocking hes no a bad boy haha anyway with no bigot intension i would have him back as he did try like a bear ?

jelavic off to leicester in jan 9m deal done

Believable18 Unbelievable57

Rubbish. Jelavic himself said he would never go to Leicester as they are too small a club and he would only consider a top half side in the EPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicester get a grip whare is ure sourse do u honistly think he would go to them dont think so ramie govanf

Agree0 Disagree0

Come January he may find that he'll be going where Rangers tell him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you Gordon Smith ?

Agree0 Disagree0

That would have been in the news, no sources? funny that

Agree0 Disagree0

He may well leave in January but i would say the prem. It's more likely the high earners would leave to bring down the wage bill. like davis, whittiker, mcgregor ect.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a lot of tosh, why even come on This page and write such garbage. No chance of that happening, if jela does leave it won't b to Leicester city.

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course he is getting on the same bus as hooper going to blantyre celtic.away and get a life ya nugget

Agree0 Disagree0

He will go wherever the money is sad to say thats the way of things these days

Agree0 Disagree0

Good one timmothy 9 million ehh not bad for a jellyfish.

Agree0 Disagree0

They have spent millions a think it's the guy who owns lotus f1 that runs them do they r gunning for the EPL. But on the back hand they did get beat 3 nil but millwall

Lenny

Agree0 Disagree0

They may have spent money but they don't look like they will be anywhere near the EPL.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see your little RUMOUR has been blown out of the water pal,,sven goran erection and his side kick have left the club.

I was out playing golf this morning and somebody in the carpark said that tom hunter is taking over rangers in four weeks. i obviously dont know if there is any truth in it im just saying what i heard this morning.

rab watp

Believable16 Unbelievable41

Craig Whyte's interview tends to suggest he is not considering selling up. Maybe Hunter is going to invest some money. Who knows.

Agree0 Disagree0

Correct meif I'm wrong here but does Hunter not own Hibs? He won't invest in them so why on earth would he invest in us?!?

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it not Sir Tom Farmer that owns Hibs?

Delboy

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course he won't sell up. He'll colect a fortune when the club goes into administration then he starts the club fom scratch. Moneyspinner!

Agree0 Disagree0

In his interview yesterday he said he was looking at the possibility of investors coming and as far as i know Hunter is a gers fan so that might be something!.

How will he earn a fortune if we go into admin?, He will only be getting money he has already put into the club back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Tom Hunter lost a bundle when the Iceland banks went under. He is a businessman who invests in companies to make money. He might be a Rangers fan but he would not invest the kind of money Rangers need without making a profit on his investment.

Agree0 Disagree0

You think that he's in it for the love of the club? Would you invest in something that (when it went tits-up) would only return your initial investment? I think not.

For a start, he will be charging rangers interest on the 18million overdraft his company took on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was talking to a guy on a bus the other day and he was telling me that luke skywalker was considering investing in rangers he said the reason was compared to celtic rangers are from another universe.

Agree0 Disagree0

I pressume you mean that rangers are from a different universe in the sense that we are dominating scottish football(as usual) and you're team are failing to hold on. funny how this is a rangers team on their knees yet still winning spl year in year out.

Craig Whytes interview in todays Scotsman

www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spl/interview_craig_whyte_owner_of_rangers_who_has_come_out_fighting_against_tv_allegations_1_1925040

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Enlightening, i think neither him nor the BBC are correct - though as a rangers fan i'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. Muzz

Agree0 Disagree0

Why didn't he deny being banned from being a director for 7 years?
Trust him at your peril.

Agree0 Disagree0

CW is only interested in CW, Rangers is a business opportunity and the deal is structured as a win win situation for him. Admin and he gains control of a debt free busuness that he will sell for a profit, win the tax case and the business becomes attractive to others, as I say win win.
