Hearing Corry Evans from Blackburn Rovers may be a possibility.

Anyone think this could be a good deal?

25, can play holding role or centre back.

22 Jan 2016 19:12:11
Rangers board preparing a low-ball offer as we speak?

Just joking. Decent club history. If the Hat thinks he has something then that'll do me.

22 Jan 2016 19:19:05
Just spoke to a work colleague who is a Blackburn fan and he laughed when I mentioned Corry Evans's name. He says that he is inconsistent but might be alright 'up there'. Whatever that means.

22 Jan 2016 19:22:34
£400k opening offer according to Tweets.

Must be worth about £5 million then.

Only SLIGHTLY joking.

22 Jan 2016 20:22:24
Think 400k would be better used to bring in crooks and windass early don't know why we have signed then for next season only to apparently be looking to cover there positions this month doesn't make much sense to me.

22 Jan 2016 20:51:27
I havnt heard anything about evans. But I'd be happy for him to come to rangers.

23 Jan 2016 08:36:19
why don't we sign falkirk plaer willie vaulks he is good defensive player.

23 Jan 2016 09:18:33
Kin. i'd be up for that. good player and warbs and weir would make him even better.

23 Jan 2016 14:35:31
Now iv been slated for saying sibbald is not good enough (which I stand by) but I think vaulks is.

Sadly don't think we can afford him as there are plenty of clubs down south keeping tabs on him.

22 Jan 2016 16:27:42
I herd that Fulham have offered £1m for wallace. I hope this is not true and hope we don't sell him for that price.

22 Jan 2016 16:50:11
May be wrong, but aren't Fulham subject to a transfer embargo?

22 Jan 2016 16:53:13
I don't think he would leave anyway far too important.

22 Jan 2016 17:15:34
No way anyone would give us 1m for Wallace. 250-500k absolute tops.

22 Jan 2016 17:21:43
Isn't it Cardiff under an embargo?

22 Jan 2016 17:26:31
Yeah they have a transfer embargo upon them til June. Wallace is to great an asset for us to lose just now, wouldn't want to see this happening.

22 Jan 2016 19:56:31
On the 24th December Fulham announced they have a transfer embargo in the January window.

22 Jan 2016 21:03:23
No chance Wallace going anywhere, the most loyal player we have had in years, could have left well before now for more money, international caps, but chose to stay with us in the third tier of scottish football we all will appreciate that when the Capitano gets a very deserved testimonial . You deserve it Lee.

22 Jan 2016 23:13:12
Wallace won't go but it really wouldn't surprise me if King would support us accepting the bid.

When Leeds United beat us to a top target as we have seen today it raises questions about King and his promise to invest in team building and support Mr Warburton.

It appears that he is more mouth than action!

23 Jan 2016 14:49:22
King needs to explain himself but as he hasn't I will.

His plans to fund rebuilding were based upon a further share issue which he in part would have underwritten. That plan cannot proceed with the criminal case, which including future appeals will drag on for a considerable amount of time.

He may be worth a great deal in terms of assets but that doesn't mean he has vast amounts of cash swimming about in his bank account ready to be invested in the club. The vast majority of wealthy people are asset rich and cash poor.

The club is in a very poor financial state and without outside investment we can't meet our existing liabilities never mind find money for transfer fees and wages. The crooks and windass deals are likely being funded by players such as templelton, law, bell etc being moved off the wage bill before new players arrive.

The cycle of interest fee loans is simply delaying dealing with the problem. The only way the club can be put on a sustainable footing is through European football or making further cut backs. Think we all can agree we won't reach European football without investment.

The board needs to explain this to fans who are rightly expecting major investment. Personally I think all the promises of investmentb were to try and get fans back inside to maximize season ticket sales. Maybe I'm being too cynical. Maybe.

23 Jan 2016 19:45:11
Luigi, I don't doubt what you say but King has really made a rod for his own back with all the mouthing off about a personal investment of £30m that would be front end loaded.

He is now in a difficult position because if he now comes out and tells it as it is e will, quite rightly, be castigated, for bullshitting to the supporters just as we saw from Murray in the past.

If he has the funds available then he would be better to make an interest free loan by way of convertible loan stock pending a future share issue which could take years given the shenanigans of past Regimes, (and I include the Tarnished Knight in this!

24 Jan 2016 18:02:55
Is it not the board who have spent millions on keeping us going, bringing in MW and Dw, new chief scout, commercial people, nutritionists etc etc,
You have to crawl before you walk, we are getting there, just have to be patient .

24 Jan 2016 21:33:35
Brian-p, the prime investors from what I have seen are the Park family, Gilligan, Bennett and the two Far Eastern guys. I haven't heard anything about Paul Murray investing, (nor did I expect it) , and the £30m, front end loaded from King, as necessary, is where the issue lies.

If he didn't have the funds or couldn't secure funds against assets quickly then he should have kept his mouth shut.

I just see him as another that promises but doesn't deliver but he gets the benefit of being a Rangers supporter or he would be castigated by the fans. Still who knows perhaps he will surprise me by securing the much needed quality players for Warburton in the next seven days.

Unfortunately I don't see any Club Chairman of a team where we want to buy a player being too keen on giving us credit terms these days.

22 Jan 2016 12:03:18
Leeds have a bid accepted for Brentford's Diagouraga Source press and Journal.

22 Jan 2016 12:29:58
I'm really not too concerned about this one, obviously something wasn't right and as Warburton said, he's happy to promote from within.

22 Jan 2016 13:35:57
What a relief, this guy is sooooooo slow, an oil tanker of a player, would have been an OK squad player at a low fee but a zillion, no way, no value, not worth it, move on, give youth a chance, crooks in the summer much better prospect, we Murdoch will be back in summer as well so all is good in bear land.

22 Jan 2016 14:18:16
I still dnt think he'l go to leeds, i think somethings gona happin on our side soon, still over a week to go in the transfer window so see what happins i suppose, not worried either way anyway tbh.

22 Jan 2016 14:22:09
Nah sorry people just read there that he has agreed to a 2 and a half year deal with Leeds, awell time to move on from that lol, O'Halloran now so we'll see what happinz there. WATP ** * **.

22 Jan 2016 14:45:23
I'm disappointed Murdoch hasn't been given a role this season- if he's not considered good enough to get a game in championship when we are crying out for a defensive mid then I can hardly see him getting much of a chance next season at higher level.

Going into window this was the one position that everybody seemed to agree we had to fill. And let's be honest the fan base is extremely divided and doesn't agree on much.

Hibs have done very well and added more goals to an already strong attack, there is not a huge margin of error for us here.

22 Jan 2016 15:31:44
In agreement on this one luigi, we will look silly if we don't strengthen and as you say a few poor results and we will be in a serious scrap come the end of the season. I genuinely think we will add the lads from Accrington this month, assuming of course we actually have more than a tenner in the super-saver squirrel account, as they play in positions, DM in particular, we need!

22 Jan 2016 16:30:12
Totally agree with Luigi. Hibs have done well adding Stokes, unquestionably strengthening their side. I still think we're some distance ahead of Hibs but another sticky patch and and defeat to them and we're looking at Play offs.

We will look really weak if we don't sign at least O'Halloran now.

22 Jan 2016 16:41:18
Another Scott Allen embarrassing failure. We are scrapping the barrel and half this site are not even bothered. We are Rangers. Our transfer policy is pathetic and it needs addressing before we have no credibility left. If there is no money come out and say it stop this new is imminent nonsense. We deserve better.

22 Jan 2016 17:00:31
Totally agree.

22 Jan 2016 17:00:45
Warbs has said there should be a player in by Monday so let's see what happens I suppose.

22 Jan 2016 17:57:17
I think it's wrong to say half the site isn't bothered, I think most of us realise now we don't have the money so if we've been outbid for the player then so be it, we will get someone else, ranger for life, the ups and downs.

22 Jan 2016 18:32:11
Stv news Diagouraga signs for Leeds.

22 Jan 2016 19:03:25
The pundits on Radio Clyde seem to think that the signing promised for Monday was Diagouraga and now they expect nothing to be done by then.

23 Jan 2016 01:11:05
Over hyped player, If you were to believe what was being written he was Patrick Vieira! no big deal if we don't get him, other players can easily do the job for us!

22 Jan 2016 09:59:19
We are also linked with Oman Sow, who I think would b a great signing - free in summer I think. Much better signing than O'H. More skill, more goals.

22 Jan 2016 10:44:26
Expect a 1k bid to go in today followed by a 1.5k bid. Don't want to get held to ransom.

22 Jan 2016 11:35:46
Thecampbell stop with the humor your gonnae get me the sack!

22 Jan 2016 11:08:25
U for real osman sow is like waghorn if anythin o'hallorans pace is frightening let's get real here gers fans o'halloran is playin it higher level thn any of our players fact when we played st johnstone in front 50k plus he single handedly ripped us apart he had our defence in his back pocket fact so any1 sayin osman sow is better thn please got to spec savers and purchase new glasses cause sow is just like waghor n o'halloran anyday of the week he has electric speed wich u need in football now a days its about bein athlete.

22 Jan 2016 12:31:04
Totally agree. Can't understand any negative remarks regarding Michael O, Halloran. The lad is top drawer and we should be well sick if we don't get him. Rangers team needs a player who can frighten defenders and provide openings for others, he does all of this and some. A reality check is needed here. It's also time we got the decks cleared, get players away who are not going to contribute. Are we all forgetting "again", that this is a business we are talking about.

22 Jan 2016 13:00:49
It looks like we won't get O'Halloran so we need to move on to other, less expensive, targets. If Sow is one of those then that'll do me. I think if we can bring someone in who can take Millers spot in the side then it'll improve us. I think he misses too many chances and is a bit clunky at times.

Not a hate piece on Miller - still like the guy. I just think he's probably best placed to be sub/rotational player for us now rather than a first team player.

22 Jan 2016 13:24:13
Iv got nothin bad bout osman sow he is good but i just can't see him n waghorn there to similar both are big n like target men just won't work both thm 1 would have 2 be dropped. As o'halloran can play any where across the front line and he's young n scottish n by far the quickest in scotland and probably in the top 5 in Britain for pace i'm really worried tht we will not get him n celtic will usall happens all the time so for once all rangers fans get behind o'halloran and get ths deal done or we will regret it.

22 Jan 2016 13:26:15
I'm not really seeing what the big deal is about ohalloran, he has only scored 4 goals all season and of which 2 were against is. Is that really the kind of player we are looking for? 2 goals against other opposition all season? It's just not good enough!

22 Jan 2016 14:03:08
O'Halloran's record is 5 goals, 10 assists in 27 games.

If we get him good, if not i'm sure there's others out there. I'd be concerned if nothing gets over the line in the next week or so.

22 Jan 2016 16:45:24
Take away the goals against us and he has a strike rate of about one in eight? Quality? No way. He should take up the 100metres.

22 Jan 2016 21:42:43
He scored once, the third, when he ran away from Wilson at the start of 2nd half.

22 Jan 2016 09:26:53
Just read on the scotsman that Diagouraga is interesting leeds and brentford have apparently accepted a bid from them.

22 Jan 2016 09:49:23
Thank ****.

22 Jan 2016 09:56:49
It was only a matter of Time before we started to look daft again, Scott Allen all over again. At the start of the window everything was made to look good a few pre contracts and a few 6 month deals. There is obviously not much money to spend in this window.

22 Jan 2016 11:04:33
Yea bid has been accepted. what a joke of a club we are. don't care if you don't agree get shot of the board and the management and get people in who knows what they are doing and has money to put into the club.

22 Jan 2016 11:43:23
I agree wee are looking a bit daft at the moment. But in my opinion 500k is too much for o'hallaron and the 6 month deals are an ok bit of business. We were the best option for those players (that's why they came) and it allows us to drop them if they flop, because let's face it there not dead certs.

22 Jan 2016 12:23:31
Hallet1 how can you say the board and management don't know what they're doing? Look at the difference from last year. We're winning comfortably, we have goals in the team and we're doing good business. Last season we had the likes of Ian black and Kris boyd. Now we have Holt and waghorn. There's no comparison in warbs we trust.

22 Jan 2016 13:32:34
When he taken over from old board he said he would do what it takes to get us back where we belong but its all lies. There is no money for new players they proved that with sa and now with the guy from Brentford and st Johnstone not that am wantn the boy fae st Johnstone.

22 Jan 2016 13:36:04
And the management he basically has 1 formation and plying that keeper and the kid fae arsenal.

22 Jan 2016 13:39:43
Don't know how anybody can say we looked daft re the SA saga. We offered the money? Hibs refused then decided to sell him to the mhanks for less than we were going to pay. Can you explain what the club and MW has done wrong here?

22 Jan 2016 14:08:52
Seeker is right. Be made a few decent bids for Allan and stubbs refused to sell to us. The formation is clearly working we're winning and playing well. And hallet zelalem hasn't played much in the past month he's been injured and foderingham has become a good player that could do us years in goals. Holt and halliday have been more regular than zelalem and warbs obviously doesn't want to rely on loans by getting rid of Oduwa. We only have two and compared to last season that's good as we had 5 that didn't turn out too great. Believe in the system and stop moaning.

22 Jan 2016 14:22:33
Hallet that is the worst post I've ever seen on here, get a grip, the days of rangers spending a fortune on players r long gone, get a grip of urself, the board r doing great work behind the scenes, the management is superb who will change the club from first team to under 8s, because rangers r now run properly we don't read our business in the daily papers anymore, there is a massive amount of work being done at rangers regarding new players but as I said its kept in house now, for the first time in 4 yrs I may add, instead of wanting them sacked, get behind them and accept we won't spend the way we used to.

22 Jan 2016 14:50:08
Am not saying to go out and spend millions on anyone just think when we do bid its not bids that are stupid or make us look like we have no cash which we all no that anyway. If we go thro another spell like we did of dropping points it won't be us up it will be hibs and we can't afford to be in the championship next season.

22 Jan 2016 14:56:10
Delboy 9 we were in paper last week and the week before that with the wi-fi saga and dk and ma. We don't know what's happening behind closed doors. actions speak louder than words and there ain't been any of action just words.

22 Jan 2016 16:25:45
People in charge just need to be a bit more upfront with fans. DK made promises he hasn't been able to keep- due to his plan of share issue being a no go (due to criminal case) . I really would love to hear how the board plans to fund squad improvements as without investment we simply don't have the money.

22 Jan 2016 16:26:38
Hallet I agree that the bids we put in prob aren't enough I also think the worst think Dave King done was saying the things he said regarding transfer budgets but surely u don't want rid of the board and the gaffer, just look at the difference at rangers compared to the last couple of years mate, it's going to take time, I was annoyed by the signing saga at the start of the week but I watched mw press conference and he told the fans what's happening so I was happy after that, your entitled to your opinion bud, but I honestly think if we give this board and management the time they need we will get to where we all want rangers to be. watp.

22 Jan 2016 16:28:17
Also on the wifi case rangers say it didn't work properly or they had problems with it and didn't think they should pay the full amount that the company wanted.

22 Jan 2016 17:14:11
Ok maybe not manager just mad as we missing out on trasfer targets but the board or dk isn't keeping his word. We ain't askn for millions to spend so far since mw came in he has had 3 main players he wanted 1st. sa never got now td fae Brentford and mo fae st Johnstone who doesn't look like signing not like i want him to sign as i feel there is better out there.

22 Jan 2016 17:24:48
The WiFi didn't work with 50,000 people using it at the one time so they didn't meet the contest terms so we didn't pay.

22 Jan 2016 08:38:56
I did say I would keep fellow bears up to speed on what info I did have on the michael o'halloran possible transfer to rangers situation, been told by my source who knows the family very well was speaking to michael o'halloran's dad who's a celtic youth coach and its only the transfer fee between rangers and st. johnstone that's holding the transfer up from being completed, the duration of the contract and wages has been all agreed between rangers and o'halloran and the player is very keen to sign for rangers but is being totally professional about it and knows its a waiting game between both clubs to hopefully reach agreement.

22 Jan 2016 09:27:47
This is false. until a fee is agreed the player would not be given permission to talk to us to agree personal terms of a contract. utter nonsense.

{Ed001's Note - that is not always true, sometimes a player will agree a deal beforehand. It depends on the circumstance, but if a club is open to selling they will allow interested clubs to discuss a deal so that the interested club can check if it is worth pursuing them.}

22 Jan 2016 09:30:38
Let's hope so. Ohalloran in between waggy and mackay would make our forward line amazingly quick esp on the counter. And give us a boost on the run in. Anyone else heard Leeds have had a bid accepted by Brentford for diagouraga? Don't know how much.

22 Jan 2016 09:34:54
Surely this cannot be correct as St Johnstone haven't given Rangers permission to speak to O'Halloran as no fee has been agreed and he had 18 month left on his contract somI doubt this very much!

{Ed001's Note - they don't have to agree a fee to speak to the player, they can be given permission at any time, it is up to the club who owns his contract.}

22 Jan 2016 09:54:02
Cheers Ed didn't know that!

{Ed001's Note - it usually just means they are open to selling the player, though even that can change and they refuse to sell despite player and interested club agreeing terms. Chelsea and Alex Teixeira being a current example of that, Shakhtar were open to selling, allowed Chelsea to set up a deal with the player for a January transfer, then the owner decided he did not want to sell him and raised the price. Hence all the rumours flying round about him as other clubs have tried to jump in quick.}

22 Jan 2016 09:54:08
O'Holloran is not the answer. He is a quick nothing player who will not progress at Rangers and make us better. No offence to the lad he is a decent mid table player at best. but if the board and the fans have the views and goals of MW then we have to aim higher than that. Just for a joke surely we can't have O'HALLORAN on the back of a rangers top lol.

22 Jan 2016 10:05:30
Forfarger, listen to what the ed is saying, if you genuinely think that what I originally posted doesn't happen in the football circle then you're very naive where football business is concerned mate, think what I actually posted for a second before jumping the gun.

22 Jan 2016 10:11:55
So the ed speaking here is the same guy as the poster! someone keeps deleting my posts that i reply to this Warburtonthefifteenth. You are doing a fine job in defending him.

{Ed001's Note - don't talk rubbish. I am nothing to do with the poster and have nothing to do with O'Halloran nor do I know anyone connected with him. I was merely pointing out that it is possible for the player to agree a deal. However, your petty personal attacks on the poster I have deleted. If you want to be a moron and mindlessly abuse others, you can go elsewhere. If you want to grow up and discuss it like a civilized human being then carry on.}

22 Jan 2016 10:45:20
Warburtonthefifteenth, my apologies, didn't realise this was the case, I thought a bid had to be accepted and permission given to negotiate terms.

22 Jan 2016 14:50:59
Ed- iv revived plenty personal abuse including a homophobic jibe on this site from warburtonthefifteenth and other posters. How come that was fair game?

{Ed001's Note - if I had edited it, then it would have been deleted and he would have been blocked and his account deleted. I didn't see it so I really can't comment, I can only apologise and I will instruct the other editors to look out for stuff like that and delete the post and block the person posting it. So my apologies. It is sad that people think it is ok to abuse those with a different opinion.}

22 Jan 2016 16:24:15
I just read Leeds manager Evans interview about signing diagouraga, he said "obviously you don't get to speak to a player without agreeing a fee, we agreed a fee and then talked. so warburtonthefifteenth and the ed also, an experienced English championship manager has also said what I said this morning, is he naive and wrong also?

{Ed001's Note - he is saying that because he has been given grief for illegal approaches in the past. It does happen that players can speak to another club, with permission from their current club ahead of a fee being agreed. Not often, but it does.}

22 Jan 2016 16:38:57
im not commenting anymore, I've made my post which has been echoed by and experienced manager and I've been slated for it, it's seems like some people don't like admitting when they are wrong. i previously apologised to warburton the fifteenth on here as I thought I was wrong. however the ed that slated me has not apologised and accepted he may be wrong this time!

{Ed001's Note - whatever. I am telling you I know it happens, I really do not care what a proven liar has said. You might want to check his history before using him as a testament to truth. I never slated you anyway, man up a bit for heavens sake. What kind of precious child gets whiny like this over someone pointing out an instance where it has happened so is possible?}

22 Jan 2016 17:02:42
😂😂😂😂😂🎣🎣🎣.

22 Jan 2016 19:34:41
Blue-bear-stevie, you take a chill pill my friend because I've read some of your posts and I wouldn't post what I think of them or the ed will ban me, its a rumours page and if we have sources and stories we've heard about rangers then surely that's what its all about, calm down, take a deep breath and relax, not being arrogant here mate but I firmly believe I've forgot more about our great club than you will ever know, also never miss going to see rangers everywhere for over forty years matey!

22 Jan 2016 21:03:14
Luigi, if I have offended you with any of my comments then you have my apology, in saying that I certainly wouldn't make a homophobic comment to yourself, just not me mate so I honestly don't know what you're referring to, its only all about the rangers for me on this site.
