Glad we got templeton boys a crackin prospect never thot it would happen but the boy says he was dyin tae cum as soon as his agent told um welcum DAVID COOPER TEMPLETON. N a saw papersxwen thru for the aussie boy just waitin on international clearance looks a player

Hi ed what u think about tempalton signing do u think hes reached his peak yet {Ed001's Note - I am not a fan of his. He has flashes of ability, but no more, spends far too much time completely anonymous giving away possession. Having said that, I do think he is still learning, so he can improve on his decision making and learn to keep the ball better. So no, I don't think he has reached his peak and I think he will be excellent for you in the lower reaches as you climb back up to the SPL.}
Agree0
Disagree3
The boy was out of contract in the summer so was free to sign a pre contract in January but goes to the 3rd division 2 days after scoring at Anfield. Total lack of ambition as the boy obviously doesn't believe he's good enough to go to England or stay and try to improve in the SPL. Will never hear of him again. Enjoy the money son.
Agree2
Disagree14
With the help of the Murray Park coaching staff the boy's next move will be to junior football.
Agree2
Disagree11
All this total lack ambition nonsense, is just bitter jam tarts fans trying to convince themselves that their club isn't in crisis. If there's any lack of ambition, it's HMFC's lack of ambition.
Ian Black, Craig Beattie, Rudi Skatchl and now Templeton all agree. Suspect Ryan McGowan is regretting his decision to stay with a mediocre side in the pishy SPL, playing in half empty stadia.
Templeton is the flair player Rangers' need. Thank you very much.
Agree8
Disagree2
As above, totally agree. the boy has totally ruined his career, he will be hunted within two years another old firm casualty
Agree2
Disagree8
After the transfer embargo can we sign free agents??
Agree3
Disagree5
He's maybe gone to rangers as he knows he'll get game time and wait until his wage becomes known.
He wouldn't get a regular start at say Celtic or a Championship/bottom half EPL club.
His Dad was a tricky winger at Airdrie but was lazy.
Agree1
Disagree0
The post about "pishy SPL" have a serious word with yourself. What's the point in having a flair player when all you talk about is Ally' tactics ie hoofing from back to front! Talent on hold for at least three years but suppose money comes before medals!
Agree1
Disagree3
Well Templeton did win a medal last year, one more than any the old Rangers players one. Imagine the buzz of being part of winning the Pawnshop Cup for a brand new club in their first year of being a club... WOW lmfao Templeton has just waved goodbye to any career he could have had. If he can't do it at 24 how will he learn playing in the 4th, that's 4th tier, 4th...did you get that... of Scottish football.
Agree0
Disagree4
I agree with you ed001. he will run amok in the lower leagues for us and I know he scored against your team the other night in Europe :-)
Agree0
Disagree0
I cant understand the comments on here the boy is still young and a class act he has come to a team he loves and in three years time he will be doing the business in the pishy spl haha and playing for scotlnd
Agree3
Disagree1
ED am i blocked because i have an opinion that doesnt match yours? Half the clowns on here couldnt find Ibrox with a sat nav.............best thing about football is that when we go to watch our teams we are all managers for the day! {Ed001's Note - you obviously aren't blocked or your comments wouldn't even reach us.}
Agree0
Disagree1
Very bitter celtic against our temps, was it not before if gers are gonana sign him we should first?
can not wait to meet them in the cup!
Agree3
Disagree1
Templeton DIDNT win a medal last year pal. He got left out of the squad by Paulo Sergio because of his attitude. Paulo's words not mine. He is a tricky wee winger but hasn't shaken off that old pastime of young players "inconsistency". He is 23 now so his game needs to mature. He will do well in the lower leagues for Rangers but if i'm brutally honest, this move is nigh on career suicide for him. Hasn't had a sniff at international level, and we are no world beaters so i guess he has just given up hope on that front.
Agree0
Disagree2
You have signed another celtic fan
Agree1
Disagree3
This lad will rip up this lower leagues and get better each season, the time we get to spl he will be in his peak maybe 5-10 million pound player mark my words.
Agree1
Disagree1
Tells all you dafties slating Templeton for moving, we are in the 3rd division and still taking players from the pishy spl, why? because we are Rangers, still the biggest show in town, the attendance/tv viewing figures tell the story, the SPL attendances/tv viewing figures are a total embarrassment to Scottish Football, remember "sell out saturday"? lol, watch on and we will show you how it's done.
Agree3
Disagree1
Can't wait til Rangers dump Hearts and the rest of the SPL clubs out some cups, if there's any SPL clubs left in the cup competitions .... Then you'll really hear all about 4th tier, yes a 4th tier, club pumping a SPL side !! Oh and how we'll laugh !!
Agree2
Disagree1
To the post above.. money comes before medals? what are you talking about .... he will earn more & get more medals with rangers than he would have by staying with Hearts ! another " Jungle Jim " ...
Agree3
Disagree0
So wee have a tim ed gatherd that from your first reply {Ed001's Note - I am a Liverpool fan, you are just a bigoted tool, don't come back please, people like you are just an embarrassment.}
Agree0
Disagree2
Look the boy gave his reasons for joining rangers. He said he didn't mind dropping to the 3rd division as he would play in front of 50 k fans every second week. He's probably on a good wage too so good luck to him. All this tit for tat crap is a right pain in the earchie. I'm all for banter It no matter who rangers sign it's always met with lack of ambition. Let's let them get on with it. It's a long hard slog up to the spl so until there their it shouldn't bother anyone other than rangers or other 3 div teams who are going to be playing them. Granted if Celtic draw them in the cup then post away for a week.
Agree0
Disagree0
If the SPL is 'pishy' and will be in the future, why do you want your club in it?
Agree1
Disagree1
So if he leads Rangers to an SPL Title & back into Europe in 4 or 5 years time hes threw away his career? The boys gonna win medals.

If Templeton is as lazy as many claim he will have no chance in div 3 - down in the lower reaches of Scottish football its about giving 100% commitment, sadly Templeton like many of the current squad havent got this.
Agree0
Disagree1
Got to wonder about a site which allows a moderator to make comments such as the one above. Being a moderator means not being provoked because you can block such comments. Think you should resign {Ed001's Note - no it does not. Perhaps you should learn to read and understand that my title is editor not moderator and that I might well have edited certain disgusting comments out of the post that I was referring to. I think you should keep your nose out of things that are none of your business, but I doubt either of us will get our way will we?}
Agree2
Disagree0
Rangers an be back in the Europe in 3 years if we win the Scottish cup when we're in division 1
Agree2
Disagree0
No Europe in less than 3 years, UEFA rules. Templeton clearly has no ambition and just in it for the money, surely we have learned lessons from the past....as soon as the money dried up look how many of the "we don't do walking away" brigade disappeared. Now we are doing the same thing.....sad.
Agree1
Disagree2
Templeton is nearing 24 he is not an exciting prospect and please do not insult my intelligence by suggesting when when we reach the spl in 3/4 years if we have to go through all the leagues he will be worth 3/5 million.
Agree1
Disagree2
Sorry about my last post i should have said 5/10 million which is even more ludicrous.
Agree1
Disagree1
The "We dont do walking away" brigade are still here pal, catch us at half 4 on espn n there should be at least 40,000 of us!
Agree1
Disagree0
Aye you tool the we dont do walking away brigade were the ones doing the bouncy inside ibrox today but iv absolutely no doubt you were not at the game today so my point to you my friend is........ what exactly is ur point?. Over 40.000 inside ibrox to see gers play elgin.
Agree1

He would not get a game for Celtic. Good signing for you though.

Agree0

So has Templeton been cleared or not - he is not on the official SFA list - I worry that this is a stunt.
While we should be ok for the next year there has been minimal investment or in fact serious cost cutting in the last couple of weeks.
I was hoping with the season ticket support we would have put together a squad that could have put in a serious challenge for both the cups. Now I am praying that we avoid drawing Celtic for the next couple of years as we will get murdered.
Agree1
Disagree0
As far as i'm aware,that's a load of sh!te.We wouldn't need International clearance for a Italian/Australian. {Ed001's Note - you need international clearance for players that come from a club in a different FA, nothing to do with their nationality.}

Allegedly, Stella's papers were filed with the SFA/SFL at the same time as Templeton's. Being an international player could result in a delay with international clearance - fingers crossed.

Stella is listed on the SFA website as having signed. He signed well in advance of the deadline having undergone a medical early on in the day. He was on trial for about 10-14 days prior to signing.
Stella IS a Rangers player

We got Stella too (I think) it says their waiting for clearance for him??

Apparently Stella has signed but is awaiting international clearance don't know if that means if the deal could still happen can anyone clear this up? {Ed001's Note - it can still happen, it can take days for that to come through sometimes, but it doesn't matter, the deadline was for the paperwork to be submitted to the SFA and you met that.}

Says on SFA website that rangers have signed stella pending international clearance.

Believable11

Whilst Mr Templeton is a great acquistion.
We should take a look at what did not happen today. We commited our future to the bears by purchasing season tickets, in return we get one new player of quality.
We cannot sign another player until January 2014, have we got a sustainable squad that can survive two winters in Scotland playing on low quality football pitches.
We will have a casualty list greater than an accident emergency ward in Glasgow on a Saturday night.
Please Mr Green can you let us know your two year strategic plan to help elevaste the club through the leagues.
If we are successful in both cups and get a sucessful run then a league campaign then we have no squad to rotate.
So either our cup form will suffer, or our league campaign will suffer, alternatively both could suffer.

Miku is on the list his real name is Nicholas and still none the wiser about templeton as both clubs have him gone to The rangers on there sights but both had it posted up before this farce came to light

Why would he leave a spl team to join a 3rd division team ? has the boy no ambition
Agree0
Disagree1
That money should keep Hearts afloat for another couple of weeks
Agree0
Disagree0
Aye because playing in a mid table team who won't win a thing this year in front of half packed stadiums at most is more ambitious than a club looking for 4 trophies this year, and 3 promotions in a row, in front of 50 thousand fans, who even though they are in the 3rd division, are all any other supporters seem to talk about.
Agree1

Modern day footballer moves for the money and yes rangers are a big team but playing against liverpool in europa and by sunday playing against elgin you could not make this up rangers better hope their squad is big enough for the rough and tumble of the 3rd division methinks green has duped yous for season ticket money

TEMPLETON TRANSFER REFUSED BY SFA DUE TO PAPERWORK IRREGULARITIES.
Well done Rangers - 1 year without ability to sign anyone but youngsters and an emergency goalkeeper And the club is bumbling about at the last minute for players, only to cock it up after letting 3 more players leave!
Shameful! What a let down to the masses of season to let holders and wider fan base! {Ed039's Note - This hasn't been confirmed yet)

This may not have been confirmed yet ED but my opinion is that it is most likely the truth. complete disgrace that no additional players have arrived, yes the club will most likely win the 3rd but we have no chance in the scottish or league cup and i fear an heavy defeat at some point from a dundee utd, hearts, aberdeen or heaven forbid celtic when we eventually draw them in the cup.
