Ed what goalkeepers do we have in cover as I've heard Alexander is asking for a transfer in January. {The Ed039's Note -Scott Gallagher and Blair Currie are the next 2 and some other young boys, I havent been snooping around much today but not heard about Alexander asking for a transfer)
So what is the position of the transfer ban if players leave, can replacements be sought? {The Ed039's Note - Only players under 18 years of age can be registered up until and including 31st August 2013, no free agents, no replacement, what we have is what we work with until then)
Can't blame him really. Ally told guys that restructuring would have New Rangers in SPL in 2 years. With SPL chairmen saying restructuring will not help Rangers into top flight until fourth year at earliest, what career minded players want to hang about?
I don't think it's fun and a great work experience going in to work for Ally every day either.
Goalies have to watch their stats and if your playing with duff defenders your value drops through no fault of your own. {The Ed039's Note - Yeah but the guy is 34 years old now, his family (assuming he is married with children) are settled and if he is to get similar money to what he is on now then he would probably have to relocate to England. I take your point about training but at his age I dont know what kind of value he actually has and I would love to see him stay because at the level we are at, we are not going to get a better keeper)
He maybe just wants to end his career on a good note and not a bad one, you can't expect anyone who has dedicated their career to a sport to end and the bottom of the heap. {The Ed039's Note - Or maybe he should be part of a squad that helps Rangers gain promotion. Although I cant find anything anywhere that says he wants to leave)
People talking about alexanders value and ending career on high not, the guy has NO ambition he sat on the bench playing 2nd fiddle for best part of five years/seasons and picked up his wage,.,.kbarry {The Ed039's Note - This is why I think he should stick and help Rangers get promoted)
Have to agree that a guy who was happy to spend years on the bench is not going to get much better a challenge than being part of the clubs rise unless he is getting better terms offered from elsewhere.
Personally i would not grudge alexandet a transfer. He has been with us for many a season, starred for us in a european final, won various other medals and stuck with us in our hour of need.
Hardly no ambition, the guy has fought for his place and took his chance when needed.
For your service to our great club, i thank you Neil. {The Ed039's Note - I dont think you need to say a goodbye speach mate, because as far as I know, he aint going anywhere)
I think he is going to celtic {The Ed039's Note - I dont think Fraser Forset would like to play second fiddle to Neil Alexander)
Let him leave, how many times could he come out and claim the ball last night but never, then moans at everyone else for it!
Not good enough should be commanding the area if he need to go through a fellow player for the ball, then so be it
Celtic fan, agree with ed, he should stick with club. He should have gone at the beginning if he wasn't prepared to be there for the long run. Why pick up an easy pay check behind MacGregor, then stay, then say I want out. He's a good keeper and not easy to replace. Just look at how Celtic have looked for a decent keeper over the years. Always an area Rangers have excelled at over Celtic.
I know money talks but love neil to stay on if hes goes fair enough
Alexander asking for transfer is absolute nonsence more lies posted on here do u honestly think after waiting 4 years to be no1 he is going to walk after 6 months of being no1 get a grip whoever posted that should be embarrased
Alexander will leave in the transfer window if another club offers him a better contract.
Playing for Rangers is not a reward in of itself, its all about money and market value.
Forster play second fiddle to Alexander! Obviously at the wind-up!

Artur Boruc being freed by Southampton. Great option I'd say!
