Couldn’t see Dundee United affording Wallace? He’s 31/ 32 and a few years yet in the saddle, maybe it’s just all talk on their part? same as Hibs and Doherty, or wishful thinking.

01 May 2019 11:33:33
I can see him going there, would of played alongside neilsen when they were at hearts and strong possibility they will be promoted this year.

01 May 2019 11:49:47
100% interested. Talks already taken place. If Utd go up Lee Wallace will Captain them next year.

01 May 2019 12:29:02
Your views are interesting, I thought he would have went to Hearts, or South for a good wage, up to him.

01 May 2019 14:33:06
3.640.000 annual salary = 70k per week it's simple to find EPL Watford accounts and salaries contracts Troy Deeney is the highest paid player 100.000.

01 May 2019 18:33:05
Have a lot of time and respect for lee wallace and he's been a fantastic servant for rangers. I wish waldo all the very best in the world, wherever he goes to play his football. I just hope to f**k he doesn't sign for scumdee utd! I totally hate that football club and make no apologies for saying, i hope they don't get promoted. Hope they rot for evermore and stay in the championship! In fact i hope they go out the game altogether! Never ever will forget, that they wanted us out the game! Guess what scumdee utd,
karma is a bitch and you should be careful what you wish for.

01 May 2019 19:53:00
Shame the way it’s panned out for Wallace. can anyone here, hand on heart say they envisaged anythin other than absolute legend status for this guy? I genuinely thought he woulda got testimonials the lot. if ye told me 3 years ago this would be the way our loyal captain would exit stage left I woulda laughed at ye.
Wallace shoutin am no signin fur anybody was a proper chest beating moment . proud tae be a bear.

01 May 2019 22:32:43
Supercoop. Your bile and vitriol against Dundee Utd is vile itself. They weren't responsible for our demise, it was the crooks who ruined our great club. I'm a Dundonian and find your tone out of order and certainly not banter. Weren't you banned before? Calm down and have a sensible debate.

01 May 2019 23:55:56
Gersdaft although I wish him nothing but the best for being a loyal servant and a good old fashion pro - tbh I personally think we need a higher standard to progress. Thought he was pretty good going forward but useless in defence. He is one of those guys that gets smaller when he jumps.

Doiger - think you will be hard pushed to find anyone on this site that likes Dundee Utd. They and their former chariman have a hatred of us and our club (for whatever reason) and tbh the feeling has become mutual.

01 May 2019 23:57:29
DOIGER, i make no apologies for my talk regarding dee utd mate. This football club and its owner at the time ie. stephen thompson spoke very openly regarding where they thought our club should be and their absolute hatred towards our football club! Don't forget that pal! You're right when you state that our demise, was caused by rangers so called men and their mismanagement but don't forget what you're home town football club wanted to happen to the club i certainly love! I feel very strongly what that club wanted to happen to my club pal! I mostly certainly have no remorse to where i want to see them go mate, ie. down!

02 May 2019 09:00:47
Don’t agree with many things SC11 says but I can’t stand Dundee Utd either and I’m pretty sure the feeling is mutual. They can languish about in the the lower leagues for all I care but if they do come up I will take great pleasure in the Famous battering them every time we play them. Horrible, horrible football club.

02 May 2019 09:07:52
DOIGER, its nothing personal against you or dundonians in general mate.
My gripe is against scumdee utd fc.

02 May 2019 14:21:06
Get what yer sayin zikos but Lee Wallace deserves better from the club. still the club captain in my eyes!

02 May 2019 15:05:13
doiger you must be the only rangers man with a soft spot for united? am from Forfar but wouldn't bat an eye lid if that horrible little club went out of business 2moro.

02 May 2019 16:30:54
Doiger. Sorry but I absolutely hate that club as well and would love it if they went out of business. No they had nothing to do with our financial situation but I hope you'd agree that their attitude (fans and chairman) and actions towards us were bordering on ridiculous at times. Why should any bear feel anything for them. They won't get another penny from me.

02 May 2019 17:16:20
Gersdaft, I did say I wish him nothing but the best. Thought he carries himself very well.

Not sure exactly what happened with Murty but I imagine it's linked to how he has been treated by the club.

You heard dave king say that Murty was his man of the year due to the fact he stepped up to the plate when needed at the cost of his health.

Maybe the senior management at the club blame that on part to how he was treated by senior players? Also think if he went in the following week - apologised and took his punishment then all would have been forgotten. But to my recollection him and Miller went and appealed their fines and won their appeal. That was never going to end well!

He should have been his own man rather than follow Miller's path. Miller's contract was expiring and it wasn't getting renewed. Lee had another year to run though.

Anyhows, that's in the past and hope he find a good level of club that he can go and carry on his career.

01 May 2019 10:01:12
Maybe Morelos is off to Watford with us getting gray On loan as part of the deal?

01 May 2019 10:19:00
Gray will not come to Rangers he was a 18M player 2 years ago and plays regular premier League football his record is poor but still out of our reach 70k a week he is on its not impossible but highly unlikely he would come to SPL.

01 May 2019 12:08:53
How do you know he is on 70k a week🤔👍.

01 May 2019 12:20:10
Why would Watford loan him to us when he's starting for them and scoring goals?

01 May 2019 14:15:30
Not that I am saying he will come, but you mention that Gray is on about 70k a week. Do you not think Defoe is on something in that range?

01 May 2019 15:23:39
I doubt Gray is coming. If we're paying anything like £70k for Defoe, that's crazy amount of money to be paying anyone.

01 May 2019 15:29:37
Wow blueberrys, we are not paying 70k for defoe, we are paying a % of his wage. Same as we would pay a % of gray's wage. that's what gmartin means. 👍.

01 May 2019 16:16:26
Am sure I read Defoes wages at Bournemouth was £130k. I know we're paying a % of that. Widely reported we're paying £65k+ a week for defoe. That can't be right surely?

01 May 2019 18:00:46
There is no way we are paying anywhere near that blueberrys, I would be gobsmacked if we were👍.

01 May 2019 18:44:06
What normally happens is there is a loan fee paid to offset the wages. I could see Rangers paying £1.5-2m fee for loan signing for a season which equates to £30-40k of what Watford are paying him in wages with us having to pay the other half or close to it.
Would be brilliant signing IMO and if Alfredo is away which is more than likely his £20k wage plus Herreras who’s left would give us the wages we need to pay him.
Even if it it paper talk it’s exciting to think that we can potentially afford a big hitter to replace Alfredo.
Can see him going for £10m plus several add ons.

01 May 2019 23:17:30
I'm sure I read that Defoe was on around 70k a week and we were paying 35k.

02 May 2019 09:33:25
Yeah I just meant that surely it doesn't matter what they are earning - whether it be 70k a week or 100k + that Defoe is on. If their parent club decides they are going out on loan, then the club loaning the player won't be paying the whole wage, they pay a fraction of the salary. We can't honestly say because a player is earning XYZ there is no way he will come up here - we will only need to pay part of a loan players salary.

02 May 2019 15:06:28
defoe gets 65k a week at Bournemouth. also there is no way we will be payin close to 30k a week for him. no way.

01 May 2019 02:43:15
Word in a few papers we're looking at a loan deal for Andre Gray from Watford. Huge signing if there's truth to this.

01 May 2019 06:42:29
I think we have more chance of signing Andy Gray (again) with the wages that he will be on at Watford.

01 May 2019 07:07:00
cannot see if. Cost Watford £18.5m. Has played 30+ games this season so he’s not exactly a fringe player. No chance they will just let him go out in loan. If he was surplus to requirements arbitration Watford I’m sure they would just sell him. Too much for us

Also just to add, he’s absolutely Lillian Gish!

01 May 2019 07:24:02
Well supposedly he’s on £70K a week. If it’s a loan you’d fancy Watford to cover a portion of that. It’s definitely do-able.

01 May 2019 07:29:30
I was shocked when I read this, not sure what he’s gets out of the move? He’s played 27 games this season so he’s not sitting around waiting for game time and he’s only 27 years old so his career it’s ending. He really would be the definition of a marquee signing and I’d be over the moon to see him at Ibrox but I’m struggling to see it happening.

01 May 2019 09:28:54
Well if you’re Watford and looking at a record signing that’s only scored 14 times in 64 appearances, that’s hardly a good return on your money. I doubt they could recoup anywhere close to the £18 million they paid for him now

I’d imagine given the fact they were in the hunt for European football this year, they’d be looking at signing someone a bit more prolific.

A loan move to us for a season could reignite his career. And sorry but if you think he’s pish and wouldn’t do a job for us then you’re clueless on football. I’m not saying this will happen but it’s not as unrealistic as some may think.

01 May 2019 10:30:12
That was very funny Blue nose, very quick 😂.

01 May 2019 12:23:40
Andre Gray is Lillian Gish lol belter!

01 May 2019 13:19:59
so we sell a striker who is on 30 a season to loan a striker with poorer return, really don't see the sense on any of it.

01 May 2019 14:16:17
Geesadodothat

He is playing in a better league fredo wouldn’t score many goals in epl and gray would score a barrel load up here obviously you don’t know much about football.

01 May 2019 17:06:48
Neither do you Gannett 10 with a reply like that the guy is only giving his opinion, same as yourself without the snide comment.

01 May 2019 17:57:53
gannett- saying someone doesn't know football but posts on the banter page that defoe was in the wrong with their goalie at the weekend. some neck on you mate.

01 May 2019 21:45:37
Look, anyone who doesn't think Gray would be an outstanding signing, are not from this planet. He would be a sensational signing. Sadly though, it is never going to happen!

30 Apr 2019 22:11:41
4 lads had a dream saying on Twitter we are interested in Andre gray and axel tuanzebe.

01 May 2019 12:49:36

01 May 2019 17:58:07

01 May 2019 18:21:41
