01 May 2016 22:35:50
Rangers are about to sign a young left back from Leicester City called Michael Kelly.

02 May 2016 01:13:14
Would like an experienced player in midfield, I think you can be top heavy with youth, some experience will be needed next season, a small portion.

02 May 2016 09:51:54
Saw this article too. Apparently he can play LB, CB and CDM at U18 level and has played 1 game in the U21 league as well. Ex Aberdeen youth player and U21 Scotland International.

02 May 2016 17:37:36
Aye I've heard that aswell, revealed on his Twitter that he was travelling up to Scotland, possibly to agree a deal with Rangers.

02 May 2016 18:18:03
Rangersloyal seems he is on his way up the road as we speak.

01 May 2016 16:45:56
Lucas Gasporotto has left the club.

01 May 2016 17:31:03
seen that he announced it himself.

01 May 2016 19:21:30
its not too surprising after all how long are you supposed to wait to get a chance at Ibrox? We have a lot of young players around but very few get a chance. No doubt some will say they disagree or blame Ally, but Warbs is just as bad. How many have had a game since we won the league?

01 May 2016 19:24:21
sorry meant also to point out that Mortons goals conceded is only 8 worse than ours to Gasparotto must have been doing SOMETHING right.

01 May 2016 20:08:48
Morton want him should tout himself around for a better move and don't jump in right away might get a SPL move ir English league one team giid luck tae him.

01 May 2016 20:14:50
Falkirk are after him.

01 May 2016 20:26:06
MW and the management team clearly didn't see enough from him this season at Morton to offer him a new contract. Good luck to him and hope he finds a new club. As for MW just being as bad, he has said time and time again that youth will get a chance, 16yr old Liam Burt for example, but they have to be their on merit. If they're good enough they'll get a chance, regardless of age. We've got a big cup final to prepare for, despite the loss of form this wasn't the time to flood the team with youngsters.

01 May 2016 19:50:40
its only fair to the boy to be told quickly but warburton his spoke to peter houston at falkirk about him.

01 May 2016 20:35:10
Wee bill the reason not many of our youngsters have not been givin a chance is fairlysimple mate, winning the league was top priority, no time to really test youngsters in a league that was very competitive for us to win, though no youngster were givinthe chance once we won the league was probably because the ones that could have been tried were out on loan, but i think we will see some of them playing there part next season.

01 May 2016 20:49:16
Would love for Luca to sign for Morton and then be a success before moving back up the road to Ibrox after a few years at the West Coast's second best club.

01 May 2016 21:00:23
Hardie, McKay and Burt have all featured this season under MW. Along with Ball, Oduwa and Zelalem. That's 6 young players in or around the first team this season. How many youngsters do you expect to break through in a year?

He's also signed Crooks and Windass who are young and expected to be in first team and we're making moves for Knox.

How you can say MW doesn't play youth is beyond me.

01 May 2016 22:03:21
Ball, Oduwa and Zelalem don't belong to us and Oduwa didn't cut it. As for the other 3 hardie and Burt got minutes on a couple of occasions so only McKay has been a success. My concern is for the other young talented lads like Murdoch, Walsh, Crawford, the McCrories, Jordan Thompson etc etc etc

How long then must they wait? Now we will be playing harder teams so they will be even further down the pecking order as we "wont want to take chances "?
Yes he IS making moves as you have said, but how many are actually going to get games?

01 May 2016 22:24:07
Re, giving youth a chance YES all for it but does anyone care to remember we could not even put out a full subs bench for some matches.
So who would you add to the team sheet!
Dounebear.

01 May 2016 22:02:36
Luca Gasporotto trained on a regular basis at Murray Park and MW saw plenty of him even though he is at Morton (weekly basis ) so MW and DW are more than aware o f his capabilities . they just don't fancy him . I was going to post the fact he was leaving last week . from a very good source!

01 May 2016 23:28:34
wee bill, who would you drop from the current first team then and which youngster would be in instead? Most of the guys you have mentioned (Walsh, Murdoch, Thompson etc) have been out on loan gaining valuable first team action.

02 May 2016 00:39:03
As bigjoh85 said winning the league priority, at the same time warbs has tried to do the best he can playing gers youth. He's done a great job.

02 May 2016 09:26:28
Who would put money on Gasparotto a part of a deal for Faulks or Sibbald?

02 May 2016 09:28:54
Just a few notes here- Firstly Crawford can't keep in the team he is on loan at . Not Rangers quality and is now 21. Murdoch has been on the bench for most of his games as well. Walsh is the only one other than Luca who has consistently been picked. And if you are not being picked in a team of part-timers, there is something wrong.

02 May 2016 11:25:04
my concern is warbs is talking about building a team for
the future which is all very good and well
but he is in for a shock if he thinks SOME fans will
except finishing anything other than at least second in the league
the manky mob will improve next season with new manager
and money to spend and hearts and the don will provide
stern opposition.

02 May 2016 14:28:37
wee bill try listening to your manager if they were good enough they would play simple as that stop trying to give your two cents worth on player development when you have no idea what you're talking about, you sign players like knox do you think at 16 he is going to be in the first team? are you forgetting we signed Mehki Leacock-McLeod for the development squad too its all about the future it boggles my mind when you people come on hear and talk about the managers decisions like you have any idea how to produce talent its going to take 2-5 years before we will see any proper goods coming from this doesn't mean we shouldn't start tho because they "wont play first team next season" such a minimalistic view as MW says if it adds quality in the right areas they will move and that's exactly how it should be.

02 May 2016 13:37:38
Bowmac, fans have to be realistic about how far we have come and that we have no right to finish 2nd.

01 May 2016 12:23:58
We're looking to sign Dominic Ball on a permanent or a 12 month loan for next season. Not sure if I saw somewhere that his contract at Spurs was up at the end of this season, but either way this would be a good move. I like the lad.

01 May 2016 14:50:01
well the news that's going about in dundee just now is rangers are trying to get ryan gauld on season long loan deal and greg stewart from dundee that's all iv heard and some goal kepper called daniel bentley iv never heard off him so i couldn't tell yous if he's a good kepper or not!

01 May 2016 16:15:09
Southend goalie.

01 May 2016 16:42:42
Can't see Gauld happening, if he does I'd be surprised he's a very big talent. We may well get Greg Stewart although I'm not entirely convinced on him yet, doesn't seem to be what we really need. As for David Bentley I can't see it happening, he's a fantastic Keeper, seen him quite a few times, I'm sure a few prem and Championship clubs are/ were after him. If we do get him he'd be our first choice.

01 May 2016 19:54:38
Coyrfc i think he still has a year left on his contract, if so he is either going down to tottingham to sign an extention or told he is being released, though i think he will be signing an extention to spurs as he is well thought of by them.

01 May 2016 15:02:04
Dom balls contract up but said hr want try get place in tottenham lineup if not he consider his options.

01 May 2016 10:29:01
According to article in the sun MW says Rangers are very close to sining 3 players but doesn't want to mention names in case anyone try's to hijack the deal. Anyone got any real clues as to who these might be?

01 May 2016 11:03:22
If it's in the sun it's probably made up.

01 May 2016 11:48:41
young kmox from livi the y boy Holloway and the goalie
from Barnsley
I certainly hope I wrong in as much as I don't see any of these
being first team starters not that there is any thing
wrong with any of these boys.

01 May 2016 11:50:10
Gs1990 most newspapers print shit stories, but if the sun new anything about players coming to us they would mention the players names with the headlinre you ffirst heard it in the sun,

01 May 2016 10:54:40
I know the 3 of them but don't want anybody to hijack the deals.

01 May 2016 13:50:57
The boy knox is a fantastic talent at 16 take him all day long.

01 May 2016 14:42:44
We need a top class goalie, the goals today were saveable, St Mirren had three shots on target and scored two goals.

01 May 2016 16:30:38
top class goalie 5o thousand a week so don't think that will happen.

01 May 2016 17:04:05
Mathew Knox
Greg Stewart
Kane Hemmings.

01 May 2016 00:22:32
Graham dorrans a defo in the summer, heard him tell my workmate firsthand on the phone, also told him put money on lambert for the unwashed as they are close and told g says he's already had the interview, the man with the magic hat will run amok with that mug.

01 May 2016 06:02:46
Sorry Chrisyw, but he would need to take a major wage dive to join us and Norwhich spent over 3mill on him last summer. Just doesn't seem likely to me.

01 May 2016 12:18:47
Would love it, but I can't see it either.

30 Apr 2016 23:49:54
Rangers have 75k bid rejected from Livi for Matthew Knox, they believe he is worth double that.

IMO I would pay it because we will regret it if he moves down South.

01 May 2016 00:30:15
Mccoist9 i heard we offered 100 grand, but livię are looking for more.

01 May 2016 05:34:54
If ManUtd had 100k bid rejected in January then I doubt very much we would of gone in with less.

01 May 2016 07:50:50
Apologies McCoist9 just seen the article in the record. Totally agree with you that I think he is well worth a punt of 150k.

01 May 2016 15:22:41
Any signing is a gamble, but if Knox does fulfill his potential then this is our best chance of signing him. Andrew Robertson is prime example, had potential when playing against us for Queens Park, Dundee Utd took the gamble and made a couple of Million profit, and he is now well out our financial reach playing down south. I think there will be quite a few signings of this type in the close season. And these won't be included in the 5/ 6 first team signings.

30 Apr 2016 23:35:50
Back page of the S*n tomorrow, Everton eye Warbs. I hope this doesn't happen as i fear a BPL club would be enough to lure him away :(

01 May 2016 00:32:32
Allanrfc everton ain't not no big club they ain't even tha bigest in there town, why would mw want to go there, no chance of euro football with that lot.

01 May 2016 02:43:02
He's in a contract, he ain't going nowhere mate.

01 May 2016 05:35:50
He won't have a European football with Everton. He may well do with us! You worry to much AllanRFC. He's our for at least next season.

01 May 2016 01:17:34
Rangers have the best manager in the country. It's only natural that he'll be linked with teams down South. Don't worry, I think there's no chance of him leaving yet.

{Ed025's Note - although i think mark is an excellent manager it is highly unlikely that he will be offered the everton post PS, we will want a bigger fish if we want to challenge in the EPL and the likes of pellegrini, bielsa and mourihno will be the sort of names in the hat now that we have huge investment, warburton will want to see the job through with rangers after doing all the hard work by winning the championship and im sure you will make a good fist of it back in the prem where you belong mate...good luck..

01 May 2016 08:58:57
Bigjoh85 think your way of the mark stateing Everton aren't a big club they have a lot more financial clout than we do with a bigger more talented squad. Don't get me wrong mw would do wonders in the prem but not just yet, I think he knows he's starting to build sumin special with us and won't leave till he, s finished the job and has the league and champions league football back at the home of the worlds most successful football club.

01 May 2016 11:58:47
Snowbaw they are only bigger than us financially because of the league they play in mate, but let's be nhonest next to chelseas, man utd, man city livrrpool, etc they are small fish, tiddlers in fact, lol.

01 May 2016 10:46:48
Everton won't want him, they have been awful for the past few years and would most likely want a high class manager to get the back near the top of the Prem.

01 May 2016 15:15:07
One of the main reasons Martinez is under pressure from the fans is the style of play, possession based and starting play from the back. A style that a few pundits on soccer Saturday yesterday stated isn't suited to the EPL. So I'm not sure the Everton hierarchy would see MW as an ideal replacement. which I hope is the case.

01 May 2016 18:48:29
Bigjoh u may be right compared to the likes of city, Chelsea, Utd, n liverpool they don't have the finances but they are still a hell of a big club down the with a hell of a lot of achievements to there name.

01 May 2016 19:58:48
Snowbaw what big acheivments?

02 May 2016 08:37:43
League titles, fa cup, European winners, league cup, they may have not won much in past 20 odd years but that doesn't make them a small club. They are a brand known all over the world.

02 May 2016 12:21:26
Snowbaw everton have won there league 4 times two of those titles were won in the 18 hundreds they've won it twice since the plus 1 ecwc, plus about 9 league cups, we have won 54 league titles 33 league cups plus 27 scottish cups on our was to 117 trouphies and you say everton are a big club? don't kid yourself on mate, everton are nothing next to us title wise so they are a wee club next to us, ime sure if you ask any liverpool fan how big everton are they would laugh at you,

02 May 2016 12:34:51
Snowbaw if anybody went to another country like africa for example and said everton evrrton to the native they would look at you like you were insane, if you said rangers ranger they would know you were talking about football lol 117 and counting, the most hounered football club in the world title wise. c'mon the bears, everton phew.

02 May 2016 14:32:01
The original post was not comparing Everton to us but but if u want to go the does that mean we, re bigger than real Madrid, man Utd, Barcelona etc etc u stated that that Everton weren't no big club or not big enuf for mw or dw I just disagreed in your statement. By the way there is no bigger club the the rangers.

02 May 2016 18:21:18
Snkwbaw of course we aknt as big as mun utd nor real madrid but come on mate you said everton were a big club, they are a big club to there supporters only.
