Dodoo signs 4 year deal.

19 Jul 2016 17:17:58
Aga dodoo dooo score a goal against the tims.

19 Jul 2016 17:20:53
It's a done deal. Woooooo.

19 Jul 2016 17:28:33
But, but. Bear necessities top source (whatever sports news website he clicked on that morning) all but guaranteed he would not sign until Wednesday at earliest! :')

19 Jul 2016 18:28:13
Ahh, those simple bear necessities, forget about your sources or your facts.

Another top piece of business from the Club, and specifically FMcP.
People were on here terrified because Celtic got Dembele a few weeks ago. In my opinion Rossiter, Crooks, Windass and Dodoo all have every bit as much potential as him, Rossiter probably even more so.
I'm happy with every signing made so far, we've really stole a March on the competition. Marriapa added and I would be content with that.

20 Jul 2016 09:47:08
I don't think anyone was terrified of Dembele signing for Celtic tbh. But i agree that our 4 that youve mentioned have masses of potential. Very exciting times.

19 Jul 2016 12:35:51
Tav signs new contract.

19 Jul 2016 12:42:00
Just saw that there on the Sky website. Good, that puts that to bed. Anyone commiting his and Waggys commitment was really jumping the gun anyway.

19 Jul 2016 17:16:12
Foderingham, Kiernan also sign extensions and SSN confirming that Dodoo has signed for 4 years!

Great to the the mighty Rangers dominating SSN for the right reasons! I hope son Seltic fans are sitting up and taking notice!

19 Jul 2016 17:41:39
Nothing about Tavs on official site yet.

19 Jul 2016 18:06:01
Great business by the Gers today. dodoo 4 yr deal tav Wes and Rob (not so sure about him tbh) signing extensions. Anyone know how much tav extended by? Can't see confirmation. I genuinely believe our best signing to date is FRANK MCP. He is instrumental in getting us quality signings without breaking the bank. the joys of having a pro scouting department again. We r on the up and up bears. B happy. FOR WE R THE RANGERS.

19 Jul 2016 01:35:47
Just a rumour heard from few folk that Dom ball is going to be loaned out to us again by Spurs, this would be a good bit of business, is better than keirnan and would be an option for left back or defensive midfield.

19 Jul 2016 02:22:10
If true Matt crooks to center half.

19 Jul 2016 02:52:34
Right Bears, If Ball returns then our defence is tied up! no more issues regarding that area, I think Spurs need to sort this situation out fast in regards to keeping the lad or not, Poch needs to let Ball know if he's in his plans for nxt season fast! I would love it if we could sign him but I don't think we have the funds prob close to 1m so Poch needs to sign him up then loan him out or if we could sign him Spurs could have 1st refusal or a buy back clause price activation included in the transfer. I know we are low on transfer funds but King should know that this investment is a cracker although nothing is a sure thing, anyways my thoughts are if we get Ball anyone else coming to Ibrox will be loans another strikers and a left winger, on that note I think there will be more business between the clubs. All in all 3 more loans including Ball, the lad Winks I think will arrive can't remember if he was at Spurs or Liverpool, also anyone know if Disco is going to be permanent or loan? hope its permanent as in my opinion this lad will be fantastic and it will give us the chance to start putting more high balls into the box as he stands at 6ft. Its looking good Bears just need the new players to kick on and take us forward, title doesn't seem as far away as everyone thought.

19 Jul 2016 04:16:53
I think Ball is a cracking player but I don't see how signing him would tie up the defence considering he was rarely played there last year and MW clearly didn't feel he was better than Kiernan.

19 Jul 2016 07:55:36
spurs have to give ball the chance to make a claim for a place in first team squad i imagine they only returned to pre-season in last wk or 2 if ball comes back brilliant but can't see him being brought back to play CB although its an option our midfields pretty well covered IMO so maybe its a move warbs doesn't fancy we nd a commanding CB who is loud for 90 minutes its clear wilson and kiernan don't talk at all.

19 Jul 2016 08:16:30
I like ball, I do, but again he was more a make shift midfielder last year because we had no 1 else, the gaffer Didn't fancy law or shiels, and zelalam got injured and fell away, the when we signed forrester, ball was dropped again. Also he didn't budge Keirnan and Wilson last year so nothing changed there. Also Matt crooks to come back but although 6ft 5 ish apparantly more of a baller than a hard centre back. I still think Keiran and Wilson will come good I really do, sorry I really hope, but again another centre back wouldn't go a miss.

19 Jul 2016 08:42:29
I really believe that Warburton sees Kiernan as a long term Rangers centre back. Wilson needs to recover previous form which I suspect he will and with Barton and Rossiter in the side it will make an immense difference interns of defence. If we sign Ball, (and I really believe that Spurs should give the lad a chance to prove himself) , then I would have thought that he would be back up for one of the holding roles.

We do need another centre back but unless we can unearth another gem then I see it being a young lad from the English leagues. After all there are not a lot of Terry Butchers or Richard Gough's in the game anywhere these days!

19 Jul 2016 09:33:19
Dom Ball's contract finishes at the end of july with spurs though doesn't it?

19 Jul 2016 10:44:57
Just 2 points; one, poch doesn't "need" to do anything, and secondly how do you know Winks will arrive? Is he yet another midfielder?

19 Jul 2016 10:46:39
I've said this before on here. Ball hardly played centre half last season so wasn't considered better than the average players we have playing this position. When I saw him I wasn't impressed. In my opinion slow for a young man and hopeless in the air.
I really don't think MW is even considering him.

19 Jul 2016 12:28:02
As much as I liked Dom Ball, I agree with above, he hardly featured at CB when he did he wasnt any better than Kiernan or Wilson.

He was accomplished in the holding role which is definitely where his future lies, but unfortunately we have better now in Barton and then Rossiter when he comes of age, I feel if we did get DB it would be a waste as much as I'd like to see him back.

At the start of the window I wasnt so keen on it but as time passes and no new defender arrives i'm starting to wish we had taken Bougy back. As risky as he was when he went forward he is still a far better defender than what we have as I don't think Hill could play every game this season.

19 Jul 2016 12:45:25
With Alderweireld picking up an injury up at the Euros, and likely to miss the start of the season, it is a distinct possibility that Spurs may just hold onto him, if only for cover at least till they have Alderweireld fit again.

19 Jul 2016 14:17:56
the teams in the spl will all be doing the same thing, trying to get us on the counter attack as long as warbs has a plan for that then we will be okay remembering that the spl teams will be better at it than the championship teams where last year.
I believe we play the right kind of football but we need to leave three at the back too many times against mo0therwell showed what happens when we leave just the two at the back we where lucky they couldny fifnish their dinner that day!

19 Jul 2016 16:41:31
James points out exactly how Ball was used and successfully as shoring up defense while attempting holding midfield.

19 Jul 2016 16:47:47
just my opinion but if Warbs goes for Ball surely he's thinkin about using him as a CB, our mid offensive and defensive are covered yeah Thoughts?

19 Jul 2016 18:07:27
Agreed. That's why I thought crooks would get pulled back To CH at least some of the time. Can play the ball too.

20 Jul 2016 12:31:57
Has Ball, like Weiss, Bougherra and a few other former players, became a great player since he left? I don't quite understand how some people have been on about him constantly, ? He was ok, sometimes, in an inferior league, think he, l end up at Charlton et al.
