Rumour has it we are still paying half of Pena's and Herrera's wages So all in all around 20k a week combined! We have just paid off Harry Forrester at £250,000
The rest of the boys on loan the loaned clubs are paying all the players wages So I don't mind the above as these guys were on quite big wages and would've just sat on the bench to rot!
We are still looking to get rid of 2 to 3 boys and my guess is Foderingham and Halliday will be two of the three
So the number 9 jersey has been reserved and I hope to hear this is where we have signed a belter of a player.

Kazmania82 do you have close contact with the various agents, clubs and players involved in these deals, because no matter who I ask, nobody else seems to know Forrester got quarter of a million to go (I heard he left for nothing), or that we are paying 50% of the wages of Pena or Herrera. The nearest I got was that we are paying 'partial' wages. I also believe we are contributing partial wages for others who are on loan.

I told you it is very common, as this pay off you refer to would have been subject to taxes and agents fees, they are better taking a smaller signing fee spread through the entirety of their contract when they sign for someone else.}

Just to point out, I am not saying the rumour is incorrect, I have no idea if the club are paying half the wages or paid off Forrester, no one will know unless the players or agents say anything or a full accounts are published detailing the salaries etc. What I am pointing out is that IOM was incorrect when he said players don't leave without taking a pay off or expecting their wages to be made up by their previous club. I am only pointing out that it could be either way and it is not possible to dismiss either version as definitely false. IOM and the op could be correct, it does happen, but it would be a surprise if a Mexican side, whose teams tend to pay higher salaries than Scottish football now, were not paying more than 50% of the salary of the players. If I am remembering correctly and both have gone to Mexico that is.

I believe in Morelos 100% and frankly take more notice of our managers actions that the naysayers on here. If SG believes in him and keeps him he will get my support.
He is young, lacking some confidence in front of goal but works really hard at holding up the ball for the team.
Do I think that we have been good enough in so far? Nope, I think we look like a team who is a bit flat, still getting to know each other and get up to match sharpness.
I found it a wee bit strange that we played only two pre season games and then into Europe but SG clearly know better than me.
Unlike some on here, I will get behind any player who pulls on the Jersey. There will be times when they play poorly but as far as I am concerned a GLASGOW Rangers supporter supports the club through thick and thin.

Gerforlife please change yer handle to gerfor5mins. Everybody, let me repeat, everybody on here have been impressed with our signings so far. We are much stronger than last year. Shkupi were not a bad team many, me included, underestimated them. We played well in the first game except for our finishing If we had won 5 or 6 nil, as we should have, there would have been few complaints. Again let's not beat about the bush our performance last night was very poor and yes its a worry. Windass actually looked to be trying big improvement. Our travelling support were magnificent hats off.

I think airfield is a good addition and also that Couilbally I think he will be good for us also they two in the centre of midfield for me and I would also play that Ejaria he looks the be way more creative that candieas. I think we need to bring in another striker or even 2! And a CB for cover. I would also like to see young Middleton get more game time

Check out the Corinthians goals . not a friendly. but in competition that we had a great chance of winning and did ourselves proud. Check that footage then come back and tell us what you think. boy is totally demoliorised going back to the stick he got from missing against them. First time poster, and would like to say this negativity towards a certain few players is nothing short of ridiculous, what I’ve read today is tav, Windass, Morelos and Candeias are not good anuff! These four players were involved in 70 goals for us last season either by scoring or assisting, I know sometimes they don’t live up to the standards that we would like but this is what we have at our disposal, and I for one would be happy with a return like that this season. That and with the defence and goalkeeping positions strengthened I feel this season could b our best we have had in years!

Hi Guys,
I am always interested in looking at match stats after a game . Last season there was a recurring theme in that even in a lot of games that we didn't win ( lose and draw) together with the games we did win our goal attempts to attempts on target was woeful .
In many instances the opposition were restricted to generally a third of the attempts but their conversion rate was much higher.
Having watched the Euro games on TV the same thing is happening and its called lack of quality in and around the box.
I want to be positive ( god I pray for better) but middle to front we need more quality . That's the difference between winning and losing at the top level.
SG commented that Windass had worked his socks off . Strangely that's what I would call a minimum requirement. If we persist with the current front line we will pay the price.
