Doesn't matter if he did we have been told we are living within our means this means we have money and haven't been over spending
Agree0

How exactly does that free up wages?
he's been paid off well no doubt just as Goin, Boca

Fran Sandaza's contract terminated? Yeah at a cost of how much? Would maybe have been better off keeping him and selling him at a very minimal cost of £20-25k or even less and that would have got him off the wage bill at a cost of nothing! Btw I ain't crazy lol, but getting a bit more concerned every day now!

Goian & Bocanegra cost us nearly £1m between them & Sandaza's contract was worth nearly the same.
no way we are living with-in our means. We are still running at a month on month loss

He was sacked for gross misconduct so he would have got nothing if he took rangers to a tribunal he would have lost and then he would've had to pay rangers legal fees so he would have been more out of his pocket I think he's been told he's got no chance and decided to agree to the termination of his contract without compo

Sandaza's contract worth nearly the same? Goian and Bocanegra were each earing four times what Sandaza was!

Its being reported as "Rangers reach an agreement with Fran Sandaza to terminate his contract". So he has without doubt been paid off. Won't be the full value of what his deal was, maybe not even half but he will definitely have been weighed in. If he was advised he had no grounds to appeal he would have just dropped his claim and it would have been reported as "Fran Sandaza drops legal claim against Rangers over unfair dismissal".
Its not rocket science.

I am surprised that it has taken until now since the guy was clearly in breach of contract.
One less chancer on our books.

Another huge sum of money between signing-on fee, wages for nearly a season and then a pay off. For little return (was it 2 he scored).
We must get "stung" like this, more times than a lot of other teams.

He was sacked for misconduct so would have got nothing, think you will find that the Rangers were thinking they were going to get humped mate, otherwise going with your statement, why pay out

talk in England of lee Wallace moving to aston villa for 1 million
Believable44

Id sell him, cracking player though, but i'll tell you what, 5m, because he's a better player, and a mean, an all round better player, than allan hutton.

1million is an insult

Totally agree and we got 9 million for Hutton.
Wallace is worth anything from 6 million +.

What planet are u on? £5 million for a second division player! U must write science fiction

I want at least £8 million in the current climate

He's not a second devision player! He's an spl player, playing on the second devision!

If Aston Villa up their bid a bit I think Rangers would accept it, We Have good cover at left back anyway with Steven Smith.

You need medication in the current climate buddy.
This will be the same supporters who are always digging Celtic for overvaluing there players and there's are playing 3 levels above Wallace and Champions League football. I think 1. 75-2 million and that's being generous as no one is going to pay over that on the back of watching him perform in the 4th tier of Scottish football.
Agree0

To the Celtic fans, this is the same Wallace who scored v Celtic and ran them ragged in serveral games

To the above post, playing in the fourth tier of scottish football. and simultaneously in world cup qualifiers and performing to as good a level as english premiership players. wanyama 12.5 million? Wallace 6 mil.

Lee Wallace was a stand out last season but in division 3 he ought to have been. still hope we keep him. should he leave there will no doubt be a campaign from some on here wanting papac 2 come out of retirement saying there seems to be this constant barrage of people demanding ex players resign

Realistically with Rangers in the 2nd division we are never going to command the amount of money that is mentioned above (£5m etc. ). As the players are playing against part timers. I think Rangers could realistically expect about £1.5m for him. but if we were currently playing in the SPL I think we could get about £2.5m.

Great, let's sell our best player from last season and replace him with smith and then 3 games into season smith gets his usual 3 month injury and we are left playing somebody out of position

Rangers signed Wallace for about £1.1 million (should have been £1. 5 before hearts took a discount to get cash in).
He can't have improved as a player last season (due to the standard of league he's in).
So if an offer of around £1 million was made, it would be up to gers/player to decide if it was a good deal.
No way will any of our players be valued much more than that (lewis and lee and possibly templeton) are the only one's I think other teams would even consider offering cash for!

As if you would sign for Lambert. The bloke has no idea, and Wallace will be just be fighting a relegation battle.
Agree0

I don't know why o many people seem o think the level he currently plays at is an issue. The reasons lower league players are generally so cheap are a) the selling club have much smaller incomes than the buying club and b) it is a risk as the player ma not be able to make the step up. Although we are a 2nd Div club we still have the second highest income in Scotland so we don't need the money as much and Wallace has already proved h can play at a much higher level. If an EPL club want him, they'll have to make a good offer.

No chance will he go, wallace had the chance tae go last summer n stayed he ain't going anywhere n 1m is laughable

If we are looking at keepers round the age of 34? Then why didn't we get in Nicky Weaver that Aberdeen has just signed for 6 months free agent was realised by Man city surely he has a much better proven record and is a much better keeper than the keeper that has just been realised from Dundee? Come on where and what is our scouting system and our so called scouts doing? I feel weaver would have well been able to push bell for the Number 1 shirt, keepers are at there peak in there 30's now a days, again I feel we could have missed out on good keeper with a great proven record and plenty of experence at the top level! W. A. T. P. Now let's go show and prove it at Ibrox Murray Park and most of all at boardroom level! After all its us the greatest supporters in the world that has kept the club going and our commitment can never be doubted!
