Rangers will sign jelavic tomorrow 110%. also offer a deal to bazarite as he was superb in the trial match, Weiss from man city is almost complete and benaloune from st etienne is a certanty. I also expect Hutton to come home on a year long loan. Welcome will not be signed he did score 3 but not the best on the ground and the other 2 trialist 1 did okay the other murder. Boogie may be sold I think as we never seem to have 2 quality centre backs at the same time.

Roberto Mancini will only allow Vlad Weiss to leave on loan to a team in Champions League , any team outwith the Champions League will have to pay a substantial loan fee . . .

All the talk of Lubo Moravcik is just paper talk , they see they are the same nationality and 1 + 1 = 3 , same old Scottish Sun farce!

Forget about Jelavic lads , we don't need him !

Just found out from a friend and who has also posted on followfollow( and is 100% genuine ) that he was told by someone very close to M.Bain, that both Weiss and Jelavic will be signed within 24 hours frm tonight. Take it or leave it but guy has o reason to lie

STV news has confirmed that Rangers are looking to secure young Man city star Vladimir Weiss on a season long loan.

''City are thought to be keen on a fee in addition to the player's wages and no agreement has yet been reached between the clubs but Rangers are the frountrunners to land the highly-rated youngster''.

Rangers:

Walter to speak to Arsene Wenger about a deal for Barazite. Kerkar to be offered a deal. Walter still undecided on Welcome (depends on other targets).

The reason that Walter has denied any deals is that he wants other clubs to stop sniffing around and pushing up the fees and wage demands of the trialists. Martin Bain has reluctantly agreed to travel and talk with Rapid about Jelavic as Walter Smith rates him very highly, he will be our only big money signing.

Bougherra is attracting attention from the continent, but only a big offer would tempt Rangers into parting with the defensive rock.

Steven Davis is staying as is Kenny Miller.

More info on the Nikica Jelavic deal - Rangers chief executive Martin Bain will continue negotiations with Rapid tonight and first thing tomorrow in an attempt to finally push through the deal and avoid further complications.

Lets keep our hopes high that he will sign, if he does not sign just that quick then we need villa to beat them and he can still feature in the champions leauge.

Looks very unlikely that we will get weiss, a number of team have been interested until they find out that man city want quite a large loan fee, if celtic couldnt afford it then its very doubtful we will either (extremely good prospect tho!) to the guy below that partnered beattie and Jelavic together, christ i hope not! far to much lack of mobilty.

to the tim posting on this page regarding the scouts. You do realise that every club in the world has invested a lot more in scouts (for the last 5 yrs or so) every team in the world is looking for that 17 yr old that no-one has spotted yet even Man Utd and co.

Jelavic will sign for Rangers as he does not want to play for Rapid vienna against Aston Villa. Hopefully this will pusht the deal through and finally Rangers will get there man. I hope he is in for sundays game Versus Hibs. personally I would tell his club to sign by friday or the deal is off as other targets will need to come in. Wladimir wiess would be an excellent signing as He is a tricky winger and pacey.

Have reliable information that a big bid is forthcoming for Boogie around the 6m mark. Will be sad to see him go but hopefully sir Watty can re invest in the squad

Non of the trialists to be offered contracts, even though Welcome scored 3, still no deal.
Ragers have asked permission for wiess of man city to come on loan and jelovic to be signed soon, maybe before the villa game, maybe not?
the defo thing is, he IS coming to Rangers.

The Jelavic saga has went so far the players agent has realesed a statement saying he may "pick up and injury" meaning he would be unable to play against villa.
This man will become a Rangers player i am confident of that, this is 100% if villa dump rapid out of europe.
If rapid progress he will be cup tied however sir Walter isn't daft is he? The SPL is our op priority, chances are even with Jelavic we would not make the last 16 so i reckon we'll see him up here soon regardless.

If Jelavic does arrive in Glasgow today it will be after 22:00 as the only flights arriving from Austria today are at 18:20, 22:00, 22:00. Today Rangers are trying to persuit Vladamir Weiss on a loan deal.

Just found an interesting thing on an Austrian sporting website - quotes from Jelavic's adviser Velibor Momcilovic saying that "Nikica to Rangers, immediately. Everything was discussed, then Rapid started backing down. Nikica is very disappointed. How can he play for Rapid wholeheartedly against Aston Villa"? Especially since now an internal conflict threatens: If "Jela" shoots rapid into the group phase, then he'd be cup-tied for Rangers' European Campaign. Momcilovic: "Nikica dreams of the Champions League with Rangers. His heart is in Glasgow. He has done a lot for Rapid".

trialists Georgie Welcome, Nacer Barazite, Etienne Esajas and Salim Kerkar all given the chance to impress in a 5-0 closed doors game win against Partick Thistle on Tuesday.

Honduran Welcome was on the scoresheet three times in the win, with Barazite and Kerkar, an Algerian midfielder who was last with Gueugnon in France, also impressing.
