I see the rumours are kicking about Naismith coming back to rangers. I personally would welcome it because the simple reason he's a top class player and would be a fantastic addition to the squad.

19 Apr 2017 00:11:10
Keep that wee person away fae our club

18 Apr 2017 23:57:34
100% better than what we have.

19 Apr 2017 00:06:55
Would he leave england? Would fit well in pedro formation

19 Apr 2017 09:56:57
He's a rat and always will be with the other 2 McGregor and Lafferty, none of them will ever be welcome.

19 Apr 2017 10:27:19
if he'd stayed and we collected a transfer fee for him had he wanted to leave it would have just got lost in the pockets of green, whyte or whatever rat decided it belonged to them. Whether or not people think he's right or wrong he's obviously sought advice from professionals regarding his career at a difficult stage and done what he's thoughts best for him. Don't know if i would have him back as i haven't seen much of him playing over the last couple of seasons.

19 Apr 2017 11:48:56
Naismith is a genuinely decent guy who made big mistakes in 2012 and was clearly given bad advice. His labeling of Rangers as dead was unforgivable, as was that press conference, but everyone makes mistakes and we know time is a great healer. He is a league better than the likes of Garner and Waghorn and personally I'd probably take him back now.

19 Apr 2017 12:05:47
i have no issues with the players who left as i believe any fees we received would have made its way into greens account instead of the clubs but naismiths statement leave a very bad taste with me and i would struggle to welcome him back no matter how good an addition he would be

19 Apr 2017 12:28:02
It wasn't because the transfer fees were going to go in green/ whytes pockets that they never transferred their contracts over. Steven Davis and a few others transferred their contracts over. The rats never done it because clubs wouldn't have to pay a transfer fee for them and they would get a bigger signing on fee when they signed for them.

19 Apr 2017 12:58:51
@Rick

Steven Davis didn't transfer his contract over Rick. Southampton did pay a fee for him, but it was purely a goodwill gesture and they didn't have to - it was decent of them. The ones who transferred over were the Americans, and the ones who stayed. None of the rest did as far as I know.

19 Apr 2017 12:59:36
Not welcome anywhere our team

19 Apr 2017 13:49:48
Would welcome him back with open arms. Cracking player who'd improve us right away.

19 Apr 2017 13:58:35
Mans got a family to look after with a very short career you can't take a chance with things like that whether you love your club or not his family and career has to come 1st. Would take him back in a heartbeat anyone who says otherwise obviously doesn't want the team to improve

19 Apr 2017 14:01:26
Steven Davis gave rangers his signing on fee fair play to him but if he transferred his contract over we couldav got a couple of mil for him so what's the difference

19 Apr 2017 14:26:49
Would make a huge difference in terms of quality to our squad but some of you wouldn't touch him with a bargepole?

You guys need to get real and decide whether you support the club on not!

19 Apr 2017 14:35:50
Not a chance, imagine the stick

19 Apr 2017 14:44:42
Naismith whittaker no thanks after wanting to jump ship 10 seconds after admin was announced. only LEE WALLACE said where do i sign boss, the rest can do one.

19 apr 2017 15:00:46
that rat as you call him is far better than anything we have the now and i don't blame them for leaving i would have too.
Honestly if you where a player trying your hardest all your life to make it to the top why would you agree to take a huge wage cut and play in the bottom tier of Scottish football.

19 Apr 2017 15:19:53
If he was willing to come back that would mean he was willing to take a pay cut. That would show that he wants to play for the Gers and make amends. If we can forget what Miller done in the past then when can forgive Naismith.

19 Apr 2017 15:21:27
The advice Naismith got was largely from D Weir -f rom a very close family member who was not best pleased at the time.

19 apr 2017 15:22:12
everyone shoots down naisy for leaving us and yes he said some thing that where true at the time but still hurt coming form one of our own.

as for bad advice i wouldn't call it that he has had a succesfull career down south at everton and now norwich.

i would have left aswell i wouldn't wanna play the best years of my career down the bottom of scottish leagues not when there was interest from clubs in the best league in the world offering to tipple my wage rather than quarter it.

get your blue glasses off and see it for what it was . a smart choice.

19 Apr 2017 15:32:25
If he or any of the 28 persons who abandoned our sinking ship for money elsewhere instead of at least hanging on until we got a transfer fee ever return to our club. i won't set foot in Ibrox until they are gone again. Are we truly saying that over the hill traitors are what Rangers really need or want. can't believe these comments.

19 Apr 2017 15:54:10
Hows that being bigoted not wanting they players back?

19 Apr 2017 16:01:53
28 rats.

19 Apr 2017 18:59:08
I just want my club to be the best again and guys like Naisy would be a step in the right direction.

19 Apr 2017 20:49:31
We all want to just move on drop the walkout talk. I think focusing on Sunday is a shout. Dodoo start?

19 Apr 2017 22:24:45
“I have concerns about who is in charge of the new club, definitely. You need to know what business you’re going to be part of. ' That's the only quote I need to see.

19 Apr 2017 23:29:23
James Stirling,

Can you please explain how Rangers fans that don't want Naismith back are bigoted? Do you even know what the word means?

19 Apr 2017 23:38:03
The rats should have transferred over then left like the Americans and Goian did. You can't blame them for wanting to leave but do it the correct way. I will never welcome any of them back. They should be ashamed of themselves tbh, especially Naismith and Whittaker. That press conference was truly awful and a severe error of judgement

20 Apr 2017 01:11:09
David Weir definitely had a lot to do with Naismith moving to Everton the way he did, to avoid the transfer feee, if that there is no doubt but that does not excuse Naismith for his comments. A rather unfortunate choice of words I suspect from someone that is not exactly a genius!

20 Apr 2017 05:03:04
he labelled us as dead which was partly true we were not the insutuon we once were.

we have risen and now i would welcome him back to join future title wins

20 Apr 2017 09:30:36
The fact that Naismith did what he did back in 2012 is neither here nor there. Facts are he's getting a start at Norwich and plays in a better league, being paid far more than anything we could offer. Why would he come back?

20 Apr 2017 11:48:40
He's not over the hill, he's only 30.

20 Apr 2017 12:27:48
Well said seeker I agree with every word. They knew they would get there move because we couldn't have afforded to keep them and as for the stuff that Naismith and Whittaker came out with unforgivable.

20 Apr 2017 16:43:57
The rumours are it's already agreed that naismith is coming back.

20 Apr 2017 16:56:06
what i meant to say was stupid people call him a traitor when all he was doing was making a smart choice in a difficult situation. want to say they should have stayed to get us money. open your eyes guys no money that came in was ever going back into the club the people that where in charge of the club would have taken it for certain.

also how does making a smart career choice doesn't make you a traitor and not welcomed back into the club even though they would improve our team vastly.

kenny miller went to them and kissed the badge when he scored against us and now he is king kenny again! seriously if we / you can move past that then saying no to a top quality player that would improve our team is stupid imo

20 Apr 2017 16:58:04
it wasn't the players that put us in the lower leagues it was the board so why should their careers have to suffer just because they support rangers or played for us seriously grow up guys its quite pathetic just like celtic fans booed henrik when he came back as a Barcelona player.

21 Apr 2017 07:45:23
Kenny Miller did not kiss the Celtic badge that's nonsense he scored a goal and banged his chest I agree with a lot you say James but that with kenny is a myth he never kissed the Celtic badge

21 Apr 2017 09:22:19
I beleive Kenny plays his heart out for whoeevr he plays for.

Yes he is now a Rangers man, we should embrace that he supports us and not them now.

He is player of the decade for me in my opion? who has done more?

21 Apr 2017 17:45:21
I would rather have Sone Aluko back before Naismith. Also I think we should look at Pedro Leon in Spain. I believe he is available for about 1.5 million euro. He is quite quick, hard working and good on the ball. Would be a great addition to team.

21 Apr 2017 18:25:48
I'll never forgive is those fans that all left the club high and dry, it was the yanks and goian who stood by us, and a couple of others, of course they weren't going to play 3rd division football, but they should have got the club money, even if the club never got it, at that time nobody knew how much of a crooked board we had.

22 Apr 2017 10:02:22
Rf1872, Is this naismith the same one who for the second time in a rangers jersey suffered a serious self inflicted injury from a reckless challenge v aberdeen. He was a vital player at start of that season, but our results nosedived following his injury. An injury entirely self inflicted. We need players we can rely on. Naismith on his game is great, but at times he is a ned that runs about like an idiot who has been lucky not to seriously injure an opponent.
