can anybody or ed please advise. i've always wondered why rangers dont explore more avenues of revenue. One of those being, when we play away, esp now with the tiny little grounds, why do they not allow people into ibrox to watch on the big screens. for say a fiver, esp when not on tv. any reason for that? {Ed001's Note - it would have to be approved by the governing body, who are unlikely to agree to it due to the existing TV deal. That will almost certainly block any kind of beam back.}

We'd have to pay for the camera crews, technicians, commentators, electricity, satellite use rental, a contract negotiated with all wee teams, SFL and SFA get their bribe, ......

For 1st responder. Match yesterday for example, was broadcast on RangerTV, so camera crews etc already in place. I believe it's more down to the licensing / TV contract issue, because as you will be aware, RangersTV can only broadcast outside the UK.

Why dont they just give whoever is blocking it a cut then, am sure something could be worked out to benefit all partys

Maybe a blessing that you didn't watch that DRIBBLE .

Coulda been worse we coulda been in perth

Also, if there is a sizable crowd at Ibrox ud need stewards, policing and catering. Not worth the hassel. Money wise.

How can it matter about tv deal ed when not every game is on tv show ones that aint and it wont be issue will it {Ed001's Note - yes, but you still have a deal with the TV companies about which games can be televised. If you then start letting other people screen the matches, via beambacks etc, you would have a conflict of interest. Without seeing the contract it is impossible to be sure, but I am sure they would have a clause ensuring that they are not allowed.}

The Pools made us a sh*t load years bak. Everyone loves a we gamble. What bout a Gers lottery or something like that? or is the "goal post challenge" the next best thing? LB

There used to be a Rangers Lotto that ran in conjunction with the National Lottery, the Rangers shops used to sell them. Think they done away with it when JJB took over and the majority of the shops closed. Was a nice wee extra to put money back into the club. Used to be a bugger to sell but money goes back to club, all be it not a lot, but its something

We used to do that, I used to go along to Ibrox when i was younger and watch the games on the big screens, Great idea, But as stated above to much hassle and money :(
