Chico flores rumored to be in talks wuth rangers, ex swansea centre back out of contract in summer and has been in Qatar last few seasons. Gaffer knows him from his time there
Rumour is wages could be the issue as he is earning 40,000 a week in qatar don't know about anyine on here but i remember him as a decent ball playing centre half when he was at Sawnsea.

16 May 2017 21:11:32
Hope this is true he's a top class centre half!

17 May 2017 02:38:49
not a chance we will get any one with that background and wage.

get real

we will take the cream a the spl

17 May 2017 03:26:33
I would love to see it. Him alongside the Portuguese guy would be a solid centre back partnership!

Somehow I doubt it will happen!

17 May 2017 09:46:43
I would like it to be true but I doubt. it sounds like some one seen he is out in Qatar were Pedro used to be and then new that we would all know him from his premiership days so just said he is coming to us lol

17 May 2017 22:10:28
DC1972 he is on 40k a week tax free. So he is going to come to Rangers for say £10k a week which is £6k after tax, why would he take a £34k a week drop in earnings? What is wrong with Rangers supporters that think players just want to come to Ibrox? Get real.

18 May 2017 10:25:58
thats our main area we need to work on as the goal difference shows we have conceded way more than is acceptable at rangers.

and also haven't scored enough so second area i think we need to look at is striker/ goalscorer.

then we have to hope that rossiter can stay fit when back and also niko.

i have my doubts about niko and think he is just off the pace of the spl, nice technical player with great vision but he struggles to show that most a a game with the pace up here

18 May 2017 11:33:40
There is no way anyone is coming to Rangers on £30 - 40 grand a week! It's lazy journalism . The same as when Brenda was appointed and he was linked to every player from Liverpool etc who was available but now it's every pro in Qatar.

16 May 2017 16:42:49
right guys who is the cb's we have been linked with i know of alves.

and is there anyone out there that know exactly what was wrong with rossiter.

i heard it was growth problems like messi had then I've heard he had a dodgy back so i don't know and the club haven't exacly let us know anything since he was supposed to be back in november.

16 May 2017 18:25:06
Alves, Ezquierdos, Sumaila, and Heneghan are the CBS we've been linked with. Would hope Alves and Ezquierdos are the two we get.

8-10 days for Rossiter and he'll be back😂 Or is it 8-10 years. Apparently he's had a few different injuries in his knees and ankles that have stemmed from his lower back.

16 May 2017 20:37:13
Seems like some type of chronic condition caused from trapped nerves in the lower back, that's just my own speculative diagnosis given the limited information we have. Any more questions for the doctor?

16 May 2017 20:54:30
Did Gerrard not have similar problems until he grew and developed.
Now before you all jump on me I am NOT comparing the two

{Ed001's Note - yes, it was due to growth spurts in Gerrard's case.}

16 May 2017 22:55:25
Pedro has confirmed Rossiter's long-standing injury troubles are fixed. Doesn't account for anything new he gets mind you.

17 May 2017 10:22:45
Heard Pedro describe it as an imbalance so that all points to issues with his growth due to his age. Rushing him back when there is those kind of problems isn't going to help him so it's all adding up but this whole 8-10 days MW always came away with was utter nonsense just to mask the fact that 3 of the midfield players he got were unavailable in Barton and Niko.

18 May 2017 10:53:26
people saying they won't compare him yet all the liverpool fans seem to think he was gonny be the next steve g.

i thought the boy looked a class act from what i saw of him but hopefully he can get his fitness up and come back soon.

19 May 2017 12:14:34
rossiter will come good for us and after 9 months out i don't think we are rushing him back plus the gaffer said he is through it all now so hopefully he will be an integral part of the team next season and then gets us millions in transfer fee back down south

16 May 2017 14:12:18
Seemingly we are on the verge of completing a £1.2m deal to sign French international 31 year old Andre-Pierre Gignac, plays for tigres in Mexico has 1 year left on contract but wants to return to Europe and extend his international career he has 36 caps 7 goals for France!

16 May 2017 14:25:37
too old in my opinion. Good player, no sell on value.

16 May 2017 14:19:05
Personally not a fan but he would prob do some damage in SPFL. I don't think playing for us would extend his international career. We can barely get players into the Scotland team never mind last years Euro 2016 runners up. Plus don't think we could afford his salary.

16 May 2017 14:43:28
Hahahaha this come from the same rumour mill as RVP and John Terry?

Not a chance, he would be a top class signing for us, people have this idea of we need sell on value. We aren't going to challenge them with a bunch of school weans.

16 May 2017 14:56:16
Gignac makes around £3.5mil per year. doubt he'd want to come to scotland to make at most 800k.

16 May 2017 15:42:06
He was earning 3.5m in 2012 at Marseille but he on 25k a week at tigres and knows Pedro from his time there he would get a shot at europa league and champions league if he delivered us the league, don't think every player needs sell on value we need some class and stability aswell, time will tell if there is truth in this, I'd rather bus be going for this calibre of player than ones from and Ross county, we need to stop them, !

16 May 2017 15:48:43
51 goals in 78 appearances for the Mexican mob no bad at all

16 May 2017 16:17:31
Good shout BigBilly

16 May 2017 16:47:53
We paid joey barton 20k a week and still paid him when he got punted.

16 May 2017 16:28:35
7 goals with his last 10 shots

16 May 2017 17:09:53
If only! This guy's a legend. He's be an amazing signing!

16 May 2017 18:14:49
No way will we get him but he would be the best striker in the league if we did

16 May 2017 18:49:33
Dembele will be a top striker but will be away from Celtic by the time he's at gignac's level and he's better than grithiffs no one else near that level atm.

16 May 2017 19:11:59
2 chances slim and none

17 May 2017 00:31:46
What is the obsession with sell on value? We need to build a winning team. Continue to sign English third tier dross in the mould of Warburton and they'll sit on their contracts and give us f all, like Keirnan, Crooks, Waghorn et al. Pay peanuts you get monkeys!

17 May 2017 03:29:18
Wishful thinking I fear just like Alves and Flores. Hope I am proved wrong but somehow I doubt it. These three guys would make a major difference but will King stump up the money for them?

17 May 2017 05:35:34
Matt crooks not been given his shot been rubbish hot down south and could be a good addition to the squad.

17 May 2017 06:33:41
AGree with the above with crooks, looks a decent young player but like windlass been plagued with injuries. Everyone on about not buying players from league 1 I have one question. Are the likes of Scunthorpe Wigan Blackburn and Rotherham worse than Aberdeen and the rest of the spl? Watch the lower leagues and it took the likes of Andre grey, Steven Morison vardy and George Boyd a season or two to adapt when they got their move until they kicked on.

17 May 2017 12:25:43
He's a goal machine, can't see it happening though

18 May 2017 10:59:03
cardiffblue let me answer that with another question is the rest of the spl the ones to catch or is celtic because celtic is a EPL team with the squad they have the now maybe lower EPL but still EPL level so yes i think tthat aberdeen and all that would be in league one and 2 down there but i don't want to catcvh them i want to catch celtic mate

16 May 2017 11:56:56
Could O'Halloran be the leak, given his dad works for them and his treatment under Pedro?

16 May 2017 13:07:33
what u mean his treatment under pedro. he is the one that messed his chances by not showing up for a match.

And he wasn't getting game time under warbs either.

16 May 2017 13:19:30
How about dean windass getting info from josh?

16 May 2017 13:45:43
I'd go with either O'hal out of bitterness or Josh Windass as he doesn't seem to have a full brain.

16 May 2017 14:10:34
I think those 2 would be obvious targets but I doubt it.

My honest opinion is the leak is Kiernan, a staple under MW and nowhere near the team under PC (quite rightfully so)

Someone I know in the past had heard that he had run his mouth off to someone about not liking playing alongside DW.

Would come across to me he would be bitter about being 1st choice under bread boy to last choice under PC.

16 May 2017 13:59:24
The leak is Jimmy Bell. It's obvious. We've had stories leaked to the rags for years. Especially since 2012. Most of the background staff and players have came and gone and yet there's still a leak. He's close enough to the players and coach on a regular basis to get the info. He's on a far lesser wage than the people he's working with so has the financial motivation. He's been in the game so long that's he's bound to have a wealth of contacts.

I can't see any aspiring player risking their future and careers by leaking info, nor do I think they have had the time build up relationships and trust with the person they're leaking the info to. For example, if MOH leaked info the journal would jump at the chance to print a story that MOH was a leak rather than some of the fodder stories that've actually have been leaked. I also don't think a players father would risk their sons future buy leaking confidential father son discussions.

If it's not Jimmy Bell then it's another nameless Staff member who has served at the club for a number of years, like a security guard, chef, cleaner etc etc. Someone who is doing it for financial gain or because their allegiances lie elsewhere

16 May 2017 14:21:31
It's not a player. It's obviously staff. So who was the leak before these players joined Rangers? Because we've had a leak for years.

16 May 2017 14:45:35
Good point I see where you are coming from.

16 May 2017 15:18:46
@blue Stu - Can confirm that RK DW story. He's mouthed that one off to a few people. Ironically he should love playing next to DW given DW is the one who does all the work of the two of them!

16 May 2017 16:37:16
hard to prove it though and so can't sack anyone without proof

18 May 2017 16:30:00
The players and staff who hear things talk to their friends and family outside of football and that's how things get out. It's not an individual player or other member of staff responsible.

16 May 2017 11:54:27
Rumours are that the following players are coming into Rangers soon:

Ryan Jack
Danny
Dorran
Bruno Alves
paulineho

and Mark Warburton has made enquiries to sign:

Tav (2.5mil)
fortheringham (1.3mil)
waggie (1.5mil)
Harry forrester (500k)
O'halloren (£500k)

16 May 2017 13:10:32
well he better be prepared to pay more for tav as he is a player i think in a good winning team he could be a rangers great.

i honestly rate him very highly but his downfall is nobody covers him.

16 May 2017 13:10:36
Warbs can take the 5 of them. bye but hopefully he don't get mckay.

16 May 2017 13:16:54
Tav value £500k
Foddy £1m-2m
Waghorn £400k
Forrester £250k
O'Halloran £250k

I like Forrester personally and would like him to stay. My valuations are based on current form, age, reported wages their on, length of contract and how much they cost.

16 May 2017 13:33:56
Theglasgowranger, your valuations are far more realistic

16 May 2017 13:58:40
On current form I'd take Warb's arm off at 2.5m for Tav; though as others have said - I think there's a good player in there. He looks like he's lost his confidence these days. A good sports psychologist and he could be a cracking player, but the way he's playing now. cheerio!

16 May 2017 14:27:30
I wouldn't sell Fod he's going to be a class keeper he's is 26 which for a keeper is young.

To put it into context. At 26 Allan McGregor was in his first season as our first choice goal keeper.

16 May 2017 13:42:54
Seen a post rangers looking at considine. Anyone else heard this one?

16 May 2017 14:05:55
Tav would struggle to cross the border to sign a contract with NF. Although his cross for garner on Saturday was a peach and prob his best of the season.

16 May 2017 14:06:09
The glasgow ranger, i think you are way off and if we where only to get 500 k for tav i'd go mental he is easily worth 6 times that at least

16 May 2017 14:34:07
I'd also drive Forrester and Waghorn to wherever they are going next and if we get a fee for them even better. both of them are howling.

I can see the issue with O'Halloran but I think he is suffering the way Garner did, MW did no cater to their styles, he played them in a team where the tactics worked against their strengths. Bare in mind in a St Johnstone team which was set up around him, he ripped us a new one.

As we can see now Garner is beginning to score and I think will improve more and if we are planning to exploit the flanks and supply Garner going forward I think it might be worth giving MO'H another chance. Worst case scenario get rid in January.

16 May 2017 15:23:06
Was it nor miller who crossed for garner on Saturday! !?

16 May 2017 15:34:18
Vote for Pedro . think you need yer glasses bud it was Miller 😂

16 May 2017 16:34:38
Seen a post rangers looking at considine. Anyone else heard this one?

I live and work up here, Considine is a local lad from a wealthy family. Very strong ties to the area. He and AFC are made for each other. Besides has signed a contract extension. Very much in the category of anybody but Rangers so won't happen. Also and more importantly he's not good enough

16 May 2017 16:36:06
A good sports psychologist would make tav a good player. Belter😂. Aye and hoodini would make mike ashley disappear. 😄

16 May 2017 16:38:36
forrester has been unlucky for me as when I've seen him play yes he is greedy but he also gives 100 percent all the time and chases everything down and also one of the most technically gifted players I've seen at rangers in a while i think in a better squad he could be a real asset. worth another season i'd say plus he is on buttons so if we can keep him on that then its a gamble i think we should take.

also i think his natural position would be in a no.10 role behind the striker/ strikers.

anyone else think he is worth another shout

16 May 2017 17:18:29
The greediest player at the club is waghorn every one on one he messes up he never squares the ball and he's pish . Forrester is a crackin wee player and given a run would do well for us his final ball is probably the best at the club better than mckays or ohallerons and windass. And he's worth more than 250k that valuation is shite and if chelsea were willing to pay 4 million for a 34 year old in craig gordon who ain't that good then fods is worth that all day long 1.3 million behave yerself. Tavs a better footballer than hodson is he's technically better hodson defends better but tav would be first pick before him.

16 May 2017 18:22:11
But chelsea weren't willing to pay that for gordon or he would have went lol.

16 May 2017 19:13:37
Take it rangers are hiding £15m quid somewhere for all these players?

16 May 2017 21:45:23
Hibsboy yous will be in for a shock next season especially after being stuck down there all that time I'm sure it won't be as easy as you think

17 May 2017 07:13:10
Some of the talk on here is utter **** why would Warbs want O'Hal a player who couldn't even get into his teams. Forrester is utter gash. Looked good in the Scottish Championship but has been shown up in the top league. To think he is better than McKay then you need your eyes tested. Tav is worth 500k, Waghorn prob the same if it is to Warbs, Fodderingham is going nowhere and with Forrester and O'Hal you would be lucky to get 200k for each of them.

The current squad is diabolical and the only players that should be kept are Wilson as a back up, McKay as he is a good talent, Miller because no explanation required and Fodderingham as he has been decent this season. I am glad we are letting Hill leave as well as we need a defender that can run as well as head the ball.

16 May 2017 11:49:20
Pedro talked ryan jack right up. Basically talking like he is his player already. Definitely interest there in alves as well. That rangers fc page saying jack has signed is unreliable though. We might sign these guys and we might not but pedro is interested. He said he's interested in 6 or 7 other players in the same calibre as jack too. Louis moult maybe?

16 May 2017 13:03:31
The question is, are you happy with the guys Pedro is looking at?

I am personally. A solid CB and decent midfielder; ticks positive boxes so far.

16 May 2017 13:17:17
look at wee thumb, for them, came from a scottish team that wasn't playing great and turned out to be a steal for them. so i think buying in scotland does work sometimes but i hope he gets another couple of goal scorers in just incase.

i would keep waggy and try play him as a striker rather than on the wing as i think he can score goals in that position but garner is a waste of money and i hope warbs wants him as long as he pays what we payed i wouldn't be too upset with that one.

16 May 2017 14:24:54
waghorns had a lot of chances n just not took them. for example the other night against hearts in the last 5 minutes of the game. Also can't count how many he has missed to put us ahead when we have been playing celtic

16 May 2017 14:37:46
James. Waghorn is garbage, I can't spend another season watching him miss 9/ 10 shots.

16 May 2017 16:40:34
i see but garner what, scores a few goals and he is the future of our strike force?
naw i personally don't want either i'd rather a overhaul there and in defence but waggy has had a bad season but i think out of the two i'd rather keep waggy

16 May 2017 18:12:54
I really like garner, his aerial presence is immense, i think he could be great if given the right service AND had a strike partner

22 May 2017 12:27:15
Garner is piss. Hope he is gone.

16 May 2017 11:46:59
Warburton wants mckay.

16 May 2017 12:53:17
He can have him for £10m but he needs to take waghorn and windass too

16 May 2017 13:34:20
windass for me could be a good player in a better rangers side but need to go in for 50/ 50's like a man

18 May 2017 00:47:35
Tav worth 2.5m, Foderingham worth 1.3m and Waghorn worth 1.5m is someone having a laugh- honestly we'd struggle to get 1.3m for all 3! I think someone has been playing FIFA 17 for far too long! Look at the bigger picture who was even the last player we sold for over £1m? - couldn't even amount to that much for Lewis McLeod and he was quality then!

16 May 2017 11:34:35
OK guys, my source is a friend who is also a Rangers fan. He travels regularly to games and is involved in many clubs associations etc to do with your club. Apart from all that he's a fairly decent chap! lol

Anyway, he used to play under Tommy Wright when he was manager at Ballymena United and they have remained in contact. He told me that Wright has been approached by Rangers to become assistant to Pedro when the season ends with a view to becoming manager if or when Pedro leaves.

Don't shoot the messenger chaps, just telling you what I was told by a source that I think would be reliable enough. HH

16 May 2017 12:31:21
Why would wright leave a management position to be an assistant? If he like ferguson and sitting in the lowest league with clyde then ok it could make sense but prem manager with no doubt suitors down south for his management skills or a rangers assistant. doesn't make sense

16 May 2017 12:48:17
not going to shoot the messenger but will just say to u read what u wrote back and then think about it logically .

rangers are not going to be thinking of replacing a manager they just got and that hasn't even started his first season in charge of the club.

your source is full of tommy wright

16 May 2017 10:30:28
Warburton reportedly lining up a bid for Barrie Mackay. Get £6 or £7 million and throw in Kiernan, Senderos and Waghorn for good measure!

16 May 2017 10:53:47
Doiger, you are on the sauce if you reckon we'll get £6 or £7 million for McKay. Even at that, Pedro has stressed he wants to keep McKay and Mckay and stressed he doesn't want to leave, merely wants an improved contract.

16 May 2017 11:27:02
£6m or £7m megalolz

16 May 2017 12:21:20
Has McKay earned the right to an improved contract?

16 May 2017 11:36:22
2 million and mckay will be gone. Would love 6 or 7 million, but no chance.

16 May 2017 11:39:50
I see Doiger has borrowed our Dembelle calculator lol.

16 May 2017 12:50:49
well in dembelle money he is worth at least 20 million!

why is it because we are skint we don't rate our most tallented.

if he was down south he would easily be a 12 million pound player but because he is up here and we are skint people think he isn't worth money.

tell you what, if warbs gets him for 6 million he is still getting a bargain compared to what he could get for 6 million down south.

16 May 2017 13:20:37
If he was under contract for 4-5 years he would be worth around £4m IMO
With him having just over a season to go he's worth closer to £2m I'm afraid. I hope we sign him on long term contract and let him continue to improve and then he can be talked about in the £6-7m bracket

16 May 2017 13:42:45
dont want mckay to go to be honest i think in a much better rangers side he would still be our best asset and to say 2 million and he will be gone is not what rangers need we need to get good money for our best players yes let waggy and garner go for under 2 million bt mckay has had not a great season as i think he is a confidence player and when in a better side he will get better and better.

one thing I've noticed is when we give the ball to mckay no one helps him and he is being marked by 2/ 3 players at times.

in a good football team (rangers next season hopefully) he would have support and more outlets to pass the ball.

16 May 2017 14:08:48
i think he will sign a new contract but if they don't offer him an improved one then he will be heading down south where the money is.

16 May 2017 17:04:35
The difference is James Barrie would be nowhere near a 1st team down south. So no one would know about him lol. He had a fantastic first half of the season but is like a man down now at times. He got lucky with his goal and done nowt the rest of the game

18 May 2017 00:54:30
£6/ £7m for McKay is laughable, I watch and go down for a lot of league 2 football with Blackpool and honestly McKay would struggle to hold down a regular slot for them and would find the league really tough, u think Warburton would be thinking of him for the championship when he had his doubts about him up here? Not a chance

16 May 2017 10:02:40
John Bostock of Lens fc, central midfielder, ex spurs found it hard in his spell at white hart lane
Just been awarded Ligue 2 players of year in France, still only 25
Rumours we are looking at him.

16 May 2017 10:59:04
Would be a good buy if true the lad is a talented footballer lost his way a bit but he's technicaly good and can score goals i would be happy with him

16 May 2017 12:52:42
sorry, but the top league in france isn't great so definitely don't want anyone from their second tier.

rangers are trying to get back to celtic's level at least and buying from these sort of places is not going to get us anywhere near them.

top divisions in other countries is where we should look.

16 May 2017 13:30:11
One word - Kante!

16 May 2017 13:52:15
James stirling are you serious the top league in france isn't great we play in scotland 1 of the worse leagues in europe ligue 2 teams would probably beat us never mind ligue 1 teams

16 May 2017 14:18:19
Big t75, i didn't say our league was better but they have 1 dominant team in it with 3 other really good teams in my opinion the rest of them are mediocre at best so for me league two is not where we need to llok at and finding one player from said league doesn't mean that its full of kante's

im just thinking about catching celtic and league two anywhere isn't good enough to do so.

u can laug at me all u want but celtic would probably get promotion from the championship in england with the squad they have right now and almost all of their players could walk into teams in the lower end of the EPL.

so how would buying form lower leagues in countries help us catch them and who here actually watches the french second league? answer nobody all people are doing is looking us stats and saying oh he could do a job with no real research done all i'm saying is thank god u are not in charge of my team sign players of stats alone from their second tier leagues and we would get relegated.

sorry about the rant but league two in france or belgium or spain is not better than the spl no matter how much u don't rate us

16 May 2017 16:41:42
too many people on here playing football manager and think they have found a gem from lower leagues yes we could do with finding one or two that could get us a good sell on value but realistically we need to get the quality in first and foremost as wee need to catch celtic and give them a challenge as soon as possible

16 May 2017 17:33:45
I travel to Reims regularly and I've watched second division football and lower than that in France. I've not seen the guy being talked about, but I can tell you there are players there who would stroll into our side. While we need a few established senior players to stabilise and carry us forward, we need to bolster the squad with better than we have, and there are players in lower leagues that fit the bill. When Warburton came here, there were 2,500 Uefa registered players out of contract and he signed probably the worst ten.

16 May 2017 18:43:19
1 dominant team in Ligue 1. Who? Monaco are top of the league lol.

Have you looked at the clubs in ligue 2? there's some big clubs there i'm sure there are plenty who we would be doing well to sign.

I do worry that McKay won't be offered a new contract and while Pedro can spring all of the yarns of the day the most likely reason will be lack of financial support. Still I hope that I am wrong and we will see the boy given a new contract and see four or five top quality signings!
