Yeah he's out of contract. He wouldn't come up here and spend time if he wasn't the slightest interested, I think he's hoping that Rangers get Europa League and that'll fully attract him. Regardless I think he's making a fair choice. He's also taking a pay cut too.

Going to school in Burley Vs Glasgow, personally I would prefer Glasgow any day of the week. Good schools like Hutchison's Grammar and of course he could always live in Edinburgh and travel.
From a footballing perspective it would be a good signing but I am sure that there are others that we are looking at if he doesn't sign.
We just move on to the next target!

It doesn't mean anything. Same thing happens if you type in 'Vaulks' instead of 'Cummings'. I would personally love to have Cummings. He's a proven goal scorer, young and Scottish. If any move is to occur I'd think it'd be after the Scottish Cup final.

Cummings has a year left on his contract and don't think rangers can afford the £1m+ that he's going for as a hibby. I hope he does go but not too sure if hibs will sell to rangers either look at the Scott allan fiasco.

I'd be happy to take keatings also good player aswell, think 750k is what hibs are looking for for Cummings as I don't think he will sign a new deal there they will want the cash to subsidise for the wage bill since they probably budgeted on coming up and never, that's just a theory though.

We've just taken a boy off Liverpool for 250 grand when they would have asked for 8 million at a tribunal in England.
Why would they now give us a player on 100 grand a week on loan for a season.
I know he's been out injured for months, so unless it's too get him match fit for next season, or put him in the shop window for other English clubs.
Would be a great bit of business if it were true. But can't see it happening.

Holt and Haliday will not be gone. Law, Shiels (probably) , Zelelam (end of loan) and Ball (end of loan) will be gone. That's 4 midfielders needed replacing. (Barton) , Windass, Crooks, (Dorans) . Haliday is cover for LB aswell. No doubt Thompson will be loaned out along with Murdoch who might be sold. Remember we play with a midfield of 3 so we need the cover.

We need more than one player for each position Ally. We were probably too lean and got away with it this season. We're also losing Law, Shields, Zelalem, Ball and Templeton so we're not adding a huge difference in numbers but certainly higher quality.

I am certain he will if we get offers. Remember Kranjar is a midfielder to and we have Forrester to who signed a new deal. WARBURTON runs with about 23 players a year Its what he has always done. Holt especially is 23 and needs first team football. If a Burton or a Wigan came in with serious cash he would be gone.

Been through this with others I think in certain games we will play different formations up in the SPL
I like Halliday and Holt don't get me wrong but there talents would be wasted hanging around waiting for a game
If bids come in off them and buy a left sided defender who can play also at left back who has pace would be my shout.

Wee Ally; McKay, O'halloran, (burt) and (forester) will play in the front 3, I put both in brackets as burt and forester have played/ play sometimes in midfield. I reckon Crooks will be used as a CB aswell as a defensive mid. Burt will get loaned out most probably. Windass, Holt, Haliday, Rossiter are our current midfielder's. Another 2/ 3 need to be added hence Dorrans, Barton and Kranjcar being linked. Barton would be my most preferred signing out of the 3, Dorrans is good be would command a fee, as would Kranjcar.

I'm probably in the minority with this, but I'd rather we didn't take Dorrans.
He was an excellent young player but the past couple of years he's been awful, gets a lot of stick for only being able to pass the ball sideways and even then not very well.
If we got the old Dorrans, I'd be happy but the way he is just now, it would be a nope from me, Norwich fans want rid of him, we can do better.

arteta is a good player great player couple of seasons ago and i'd welcome him back but this will never happen the guy demands way too much wages for us to sign him back he would get more as a youth coach for man city than he would playing for us lol.

Arteta's best days are long behind him and I guess he knows this if he did retire this morning. Have seen him warm up a few times this season and his is undoubtedly a fantastically professional routine but he never got anywhere near the ball. If we were lucky enough to secure Barton's services he would be here for the fight and would definitely get stuck in because that's what he does. Arteta would be a luxury item. As players, in their day, Arteta would probably edge it, he certainly has displayed more class but in the here and now Joey Barton every day of the week. Here's hoping.

Arteta is class, but just different from the class we need just now. We lack bite and physicality in the middle of the park and that's what Barton brings. The whole team has a lightweight look to it and it has to be addresed for next season.

I'm sure I'm not in the majority with this, but I'm not too keen on Dorrans.
Norwich fans want rid of him, he's one of these midfielders that sit and can only play a sideways pass, not too sure he'd fit in with our attacking playing style.
He done really well earlier in his career but seems to have fallen off in recent years, if we can get the old Graham Dorrans then I'd be thrilled but I'm just not keen on the player he has been for the last couple of years or so.

I think we will pay for Cummings but £1.5 million for Dorrans? Not a chance. We have Rossiter signed, Matt Crooks signed and Barton is now the priority signing. With Holt, Halliday, potentially Dom ball and others I don't think it'll happen. Also, I think Harry Forrester will make that position his next year. He style is unique, one of the few players with the confidence to play direct and run with ball at his feet in the middle of the park.

some fans on here need a reality check with "rangers quality" players, first Hanley wasn't rangers quality but he gets a game for Blackburn week in week out in the championship. now dorrans isn't rangers quality when he's played in the premier league the last 5 years with west brom and Norwich. Who is rangers quality?

my opinion supremario I think we have better than dorrans already at rangers and don't think he would do a lot to improve our first team. the last two seasons he has been well below standard mate but that's just from what I've watched. Just because you play in the epl doesn't automatically make you a good player there are tons of epl players I wouldn't take and if u think any epl player is good enough for rangers then you are the one that needs a reality check mate.

you're more than entitled to your own opinion mate as I am to mine and I don't think we have any midfielders better than Dorran's, Also I completely agree that just because they play in the SPL doesn't make them good, there's a lot of average players there too but with him having SPL experience and being a regular for Scotland the last few years I wouldn't say no to him and I wouldn't say he's not rangers quality.

We're being linked with a lot of forwards but I suspect we'll only sign one as we have Miller and O'Halloran already and we need to prioritise other areas. Cummings should be the obvious choice, is young enough but also has good experience. There are too many over-hyped youngsters at the big EPL teams that have only ever played in development games. If the management team actually rate Hardie they should give him a chance!

I'm guessing MW is hedging his bets, he knows we won't get everyone we're going in for so he's keeping as many irons in the fire as possible.
If we get all the midfielders we're in for right now, we may have around half the midfielders Celtic have.
Niko Kranjcar would be another excellent signing though, really good quality player.

Personally I'm a little underwhelmed by this one. Decent player but not getting any younger and is a bit of a journeyman. Also, I don't see his wages being cheap and we need to convince him to leave NY for Scotland. There are better alternatives on our doorstep imo.

The likes of Barton and Kranjcar would be sensational signings for Rangers at this stage in our revival.
Let's not forget - that only 1-2 years ago, we had boys like Ian Black running about Ibrox thinking he was something. Not only that - we were being linked with recruiting players like Ali Crawford and Kevin McHattie when McCall was in charge.
We've come a long way in a short space of time - and to be linked with players of their calibre it can only be viewed as a huge positive in terms of what's going on in the background with King and co also.

Kranjcar would be Good he was one of QPR's bright sparks during their relagated season and at 31 he can still offer us a lot I just worry about the players wages but if we get him he would be a good addition to the gers squad.
