New poster.
I know this is a rumour site but does anyone have any tangible news on what's happening?

16 Feb 2017 22:50:59
Aye. our clubs yet again the laughing stock of Scottish football thanks to another farcical incident that can't/ won't be fully explained! We were promised transparency. seen more transparency in a lead suit to be honest!

16 Feb 2017 22:03:45
Welcome mate, nobody has anything solid at this point from what I've read.

19 Feb 2017 13:59:46
I'll say it again Tommy Wright is to be the next manager will be confirmed this week
he's done a great job at St Johnstone on a shoe string budget .
hope we can give him some cash in summer and get club moved forward

16 Feb 2017 19:06:04
Getting told today to get my money on a mam who is not even in the betting for next manager. Don't know if worth a fiver. UWe rosler Fleetwood town. Sure he managed Brentford when mw was sporting director.

16 Feb 2017 19:16:16
There might be wheels to this one
After all that Brentford link is in there

16 Feb 2017 22:29:06
Getting told today?
What are you talking about - what's the Brentford connection got to do with anything - surely we would be moving away from that and fleetwood town -? I mean I know things are bad but really let's be the laughing stock!
I think this is absolute nonsense

16 Feb 2017 22:29:58
There is no Brentford link that went soon as warburton went.

16 Feb 2017 22:14:16
Please no more brentford lol

17 Feb 2017 00:21:01
This is turning into a comedy page, not a rumours page.

17 Feb 2017 09:22:41
In my opinion it's pretty certain that we will appoint a manag r who understands the demands of the club. Forget guys like Uwe Rosler. Realistically McLeish, Wright or Davies (wouldn't pay for McInnes)

16 Feb 2017 10:42:51
Media saying big eck will be manager till the end of the season and move into the director of football post, which I feel is a great move as the DOF will be in charge of recruitment and big Eck is great at spotting a talented player.

16 Feb 2017 11:04:04
ARE YOU JOKING? The other thing Eck is really really bad at was talent spotting - Going by the dross he brought to Rangers / Villa / Brum …. sorry but NO i hope this is wrong

16 Feb 2017 11:23:41
Didn't he bring in Hamed Namouchi? He was the worst player I'd seen play regularly until a certain Rob Kiernan showed up.

16 Feb 2017 12:25:16
Don't need to worry much longer about Rob Kiernan he's put his Glasgow property up for sale and looking for a move back south.

Brian Kidd to be installed as DoF

Partick Vieira to be head coach

Watch this space guys

Manchester city owners looking to invest huge money in us in the summer

16 Feb 2017 12:42:45
Dode - doubt it mate

16 Feb 2017 12:51:55
RFCINFINITY belive it or not mate. Just passing on what I've heard from my mate who's son is in the development squad. Said Kidd was up last week looking around and running his eye over how we were set up. Stewart Robertson and him left together to be wined and dinned. Not my first choice but hope it can work out for us.

16 Feb 2017 13:42:24
And presumably said son broke the news on Viera becoming head coach and Citeh splashing the cash? give over mate

16 Feb 2017 13:50:54
Surely some conflict of interest would be mentioned to UEFA, like with Cashley and his involvement with Newcastle.
City's owners have a club in each continent to avoid these conflicts - such as if Gers ever faced City in Champions League etc.

16 Feb 2017 13:30:25
doubt it why would man city owners want anything to do with scottish football they already have one of the best teams in the big EPL

16 Feb 2017 13:53:27
Eck is great at spotting a talented player

vanoli capucho emerson ostenstadt maniero

we need to look fwd as a club - not keep going back

Eck won some trophies but also signed some utter dross and we finished 3rd behind hearts

16 Feb 2017 15:09:51
Dodethebluenoise, Your comment is now on @Gregco5088. You are famous mate.

16 Feb 2017 16:24:43
Am sure that's what the owners do discuss plans with youth players that's a good yin 😂😂

16 Feb 2017 16:37:36
Lead to what, being laughed at? Unless he is willing to work for free like matchday volunteers.

16 Feb 2017 18:43:40
El Munro - He also signed boumsong, hendami, novo, and prso. I don't want him back but you can't argue against those 4. Hendami was in the UEFA cup final team and the rest speak for themselves.

16 Feb 2017 19:53:56
He also signed Buffel Frank De Boer and big Marv Andrews

16 Feb 2017 20:19:35
Are you extracting the urine? Good at spotting talent. He was awful. As for Buffel, always injured and I would hardly claim signing Frank De Boer makes you good at spotting talent. Would love to sign Ronaldo but even if we did doesn't mean we would be good at spotting talent.

16 Feb 2017 23:27:22
El minto. he also got us to last 16 of champions league. going out on goal difference to a very good villareal side. Hearts would probably have won the league that season had Romanov not hunted Burley when they were top of league. He won the first 5 trophies of his reign including a Treble and towards the end of his tenure Murray stopped backing him in the transfer market. As for Birmingham they were relegated but had the smallest budget in EPL. You also have to remember he won the League Cup in England. something the likes of moyes or even oor Watty never managed. Also did a decent job at Ghent. So compared to most of the supposed candidates. give me Eck anyday

17 Feb 2017 07:33:56
Dode give me some of what you've been taking bro. No one will touch us due to sports direct deal. Wake up and smell the coffee mate

17 feb 2017 14:34:11
dick left him a world class team and by the end of his tenure he spent a load of money on international players and left the team finishing 3rd in the league.

i don't see him as the answer for the long run but might steady the ship until the end of the season

16 Feb 2017 10:24:36
I fear the Stewart Robertson interview was all a front. I hope I'm wrong - but Graeme Murty potentially until the end of the season?
That's asking for trouble.

There's been far too much distrust and dishonesty in the last 5/6 years and whilst I understand Kings comments about classified info remaining behind closed doors - if they are serious about where they envisage seeing us next season then we must act NOW and appoint a manager who will ensure a 2nd place finish.

From that point onwards look to appoint a manager who demands respect from the media (De Boer, Mcleish) .

For me - the Scottish media got under warburton's skin, and it began to unravel from there. We need a manager who has an aura about him to reintroduce that fear factor.

These comments about De Boer and mcleish are easy to write and say but if we are to truly believe them - we need King and co. to act now and appoint a new gaffer.

16 Feb 2017 12:44:38
We won't make any cash from getting beat in the Europa League Qualifiers so who cares if we finish 6th! I'd let Murty have a chance as at least it's a cheap option!

16 Feb 2017 13:17:27
Would say Eck is mixed at talent spotting.

16 Feb 2017 14:23:14
Big eck couldnae spot talent up the dancing

16 Feb 2017 13:40:49
yes mostly bad at spotting tallent but he did bring in thomas buffel and ovcourse nacho novo so not all bad and i'd prefer mcleish to murty for the rest of the season .

also having a director of football would that not put off the likes of de boer as i'm sure he would like to have final say on who he signs if he comes in plus i don't think that whoever comes in will get an money at all so i doubt we will get de boer.

16 Feb 2017 15:45:22
As good a player as buffel was didn't he spend as much time on the treatment table as he did on the park and it doesn't take a genius to recognize that if a player scored a barrow load for Dundee they will score a barrow load for rangers who especially then created a hell of a lot more chances.

17 Feb 2017 16:24:36
Unless funds are available to buy a new defence, it won't matter who the manager is.

16 Feb 2017 00:47:12
I reckon McLeish is going to get managers job till end of season with a view to him stepping into DOF role for new season. The board want De Boer but that's not going to happen and can see it at best being McInnes. Can also see Barry Ferguson coming in some capacity also.

16 Feb 2017 04:55:44
I have a hunch de Boer will be our next permanent manager. He is open to talks as far as interm MccLeish absoloutley. But as I've said before a few criteria would need to be net for Frank to step in so we shall wait and see.

16 Feb 2017 06:13:47
That little rubbish Ferguson wouldn't be welcomed back by me . I won't forgive him for the LeGuen nonsense.

16 Feb 2017 06:58:25
Bluehaun, is that the Le Guen nonsense where he left our best player on the bench and destroyed a reasonable team with his negative tactics . Ferguson was the only one who cared enough about the club and went out on a limb to challenge him whilst the rest of the sheep went along with an inept manager who was taking the club down.
I don't know wether Fergie would be a success as our coach but he would always put Rangers first. Now u go and rewrite some more of our history.

16 Feb 2017 08:54:54
I don't know if it's all truth or not I was too young at the time to Rember all the facts but I listened to the heart and hand podcast, one of the guys on it was part of a rangers fans group that had meetings with David Murray in which he told the fans trust that Paul le guen wanted to leave rangers really early in his career and when Murray refused to let him go he started manoeuvring a way out the door by picking on key players and knew rangers wouldn't accept ferguson being treated that way

16 Feb 2017 08:58:23
Ive heard through a reliable source that Waghorn and Forrester have asked to leave

16 Feb 2017 08:58:34
The DOF job is quite specific and a large part from what I understand is recruitment of players, I'll tell you now Alex McLeish has absolutely no chance of being appointed DOF, NONE. There is a good but risky chance Murty is left in charge the remainder of this season, I think they may see how he goes in the next game before deciding? In regard to the new long term appointment it will need to be one that gets the fans excited the board will know they will not sell 38,000 + on a sub standard appointment

16 Feb 2017 08:59:04
Well said Ross1990. Ferguson is Rangers through and through. Le Guen was a crank.

16 Feb 2017 10:39:18
One my mates thinks he's ITK and say Graham Murty is getting the dundee game to see how he gets on, if we win he'll be installed as temporary coach till the end of the season if not big Eck will be installed as of Monday.

16 Feb 2017 10:28:01
I hope Barry Ferguson never gets close to the Rangers job, the so called "Rangers Man" and club captain hung his boots up when le Guen arrived (probably because he wanted him to quit smoking and give up the junk food) and didn't learn from the experience and went onto embarass both himself and the club with his behavior on international duty which really sums up his attitude and mental capacity. Barry Ferguson - no thanks.

16 Feb 2017 10:52:00
Forrester can go straight away as far as I am concerned. I think Waghorn has a bit more to offer, and if played in the correct position would surely knock in more goals.

16 Feb 2017 13:19:51
Ger8: I have that hunch too.

16 Feb 2017 13:53:00
le guen is not enough reason to fall out with a player that captained us for years and wone soo many trophies and if u didn't see his recent interview about the le guen saga then go and watch it it will clear up why he didn't like leguen and leguen put him out the team because he was trying to get out of the job

16 Feb 2017 14:06:12
barry ferguson would be a great assistant for rangers and de boer as the manager but only if we manager to get investment for real quality players.

i don't think we need a new team i think that we need 2 or 3 cb's a cdm that's not injured hopefully young rossiter lad can come back strong as he looks brilliant.

and an out and out striker i'd love to take adam rooney from the sheep as him and hayes run that team withut them they would crumble and i think we missed a chance to take the sheep out of the running by not splashing the cash on them as we spent just as much on garner and he works like mad but can't score playing in that formation

16 Feb 2017 00:23:44
Michael O'Neil as first team coach guy from Southampton DOF?

16 Feb 2017 09:02:07
I honestly think Michael O'Neil would be best for us. Defensivly brilliant manager which is what we need. Could he not take charge till the end of the season and keep his NI duties?

16 Feb 2017 09:17:25
One thing about ferguson he is not a yes man and he did care about rangers legion was inept so I don't blame him for that. i don't know be any good as a coach here but he still loves rangers

16 Feb 2017 11:32:41
Michael O'Neil? The same guy who's previous managerial roles were Brechin and Shamrock Rovers? You have got to be kidding me. He has done well with NI because the expectations were ZERO! Has is completely unproven at a club where you have to actually sign new players and manage players and fan expectations week in week out. Sorry but that's a big no.

16 Feb 2017 14:08:32
i don't want o'neil at rangers it's way too big a job for him

16 Feb 2017 18:49:23
I guess you haven't a clue what michael o'niell did at shamrock rovers hence the reason he got the N. I job.

16 Feb 2017 00:10:18
My Dad's over in Germany and he's saying there is a few rumblings were have been in contact with Thomas Schaaf, former Hanover manager about taken the job full time. Don't know anything about him is he any good? He also said Redbull to buy out king and take control of rangers. Renaming the club and stadium. Redbull Rangers and Redbull ibrox.

16 Feb 2017 06:14:19
Bring it on lol

16 Feb 2017 11:41:43
I don't really know where all of these red bull rumors are coming from. I'm a commercial development manager for Red Bull in the UAE and have several contacts in the commercial division of a senior rank globally and if anything is going on I am 90% certain I would of heard of something internally. Which consequently i have heard that they are actually buying a hungarian team called Ujpest. This club is owned by the same man who owns Charlton Athletic and Charlton would be included in the deal. A quick google search would confirm this as well

16 Feb 2017 14:11:22
dont mind red bull rangers and red bull arena but take our badge and i will never watch scottish football again as this means there is no rangers

17 Feb 2017 01:47:32
If Red Bull get involved it basically becomes a new club. We've just had 5 years of 'You're no Rangers anymore' but if RB take over, we won't be Rangers anymore. The history, the name of the club and the stadium all gone. Red Bull don't INVEST in clubs, they take them over and start at the beginning. No thanks
