Rangers are apparently being linked with a move for Dumbartons Paul Nugent as cover for CB. very versatile and can play anywhere across the back. Was linked with a move to West Brom at end of last season, however didnt want to jepordise any chance of a move to his boyhood heroes- the teddy bears . Fee expected to be £200k

Believable7 Unbelievable18

We'll offer 50k, think you might be talking pee pee though...

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh no, a dumbarton cb
i assume his pedigree agains top european players will force whyte into parting with half the money he originally offered for goodwillie?

Agree0 Disagree0

More bullwinkle just linking random average players from lower leagues. If we snap up a gem great but doubt folk on here gonna be in the know first.

Agree0 Disagree0

200k dumbarton have never seen that kind of cash thay must be jumping about like f*** thay will think its f***ing christmas way there tree up and santa hats on singing jingle bells

Agree0 Disagree0

Stirling albion sneaked through the mighty dumbarton;s defence five times on saturday and scored 5 lucky goals- so will we await rumours about future signings from forthbank now we know the dumdarnton cb is tom tight...

Agree0 Disagree0

As i grew up with him in papert, bonhill. I know he is a Celtic fan along with the rest of his family.

Agree0 Disagree0

I also grew up with Nugget in Balloch, He is as GREEN as they come Why would anyone even waste their time making this sh*te up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just back from a training session at Dumbarton rock stadium and paul nudgent and his agent neil jenkinson were havin talks with an offical from rangers

let's be honest , in the past couple of games we've really missed lafferty , him and jelavic up front and allow naismith back into rm , Davis back into the middle with young ness and bedoya / Ortiz / McKay ( who a would prefer ) left mid , and have a back 4 of whittikar , goin , Bartley / American boy , then wallace or papac ?

Would mean it would be ...

Whittikar
Goin
Bartley/marcheana

Naismith
Davis
Ness
McKay

Jelavic
Lafferty

Bench - Alexander , Hutton , Wylde , Perry , Healy , bedoya , Ortiz.

Thoughs ed / bears ?

TrueBear72
Wallace/papac

Believable7 Unbelievable6

Better buying a new striker. laugherty is only good in the last 3rd of the season

Agree0 Disagree0

Your a right little jose arent you

Agree0 Disagree0

Someone has spiked your drink

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's 'marcheana' ?

this is gettin pathetic, from biddin 2.5mil for cuellar, 2.8mil for goodwillie, 3mil for juhasz, 2mil for verhoek, we are bidding 250k for mckaay, 400k for bodaya, 400k for murray davidson, and now 400k for bocanegra im absolutly fuming with these pathetic players were goin for sort it out mccoist and whyte your tarnishing the clubs name with how were operating in the transfer market im sick of our pathetic offers for players

Believable8 Unbelievable2

Then why don't you f-- off have you forgot already what G White has done for the club? the club now belongs to RANGERS again this guy put up a load of money so be grateful you MUPPET

Agree0 Disagree0

We're not bidding 400k,thats how much the team st.ettiene (spelling) paidfor him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with reply post above. We didn't get any of those players, but who says they're worth anymore than we bid. Have you seen anyone else run in to buy the boy from anderlecht and if the Dutch boy was worth more how come we were only in a tussle with forest for him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont care what hes done, he needs 2 prove to rangers fans he has the money to spend on players, whyte is a pathetic snot nose tw**, its an abolute joke, and if u cant see that, then your blind we were 150k short of havin out juhasz bid accepted, so tell me why whyte didnt up the offer? we had alread offered close to 3million, wots another 100k or so?? same with goodwillie, same with verhoek, trust me, he has no intention of spendin that sort of money, now whos the muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive heard were only biddin wot they paid him, one hes 32m two he hasnt been a regualar

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who posted this, you are the blind man get real we are bring players in as cheap as possible they will have a budget aside for each player hense why the 190k wasnt added to juhasz bid. get a grip and support the team

Agree0 Disagree0

LOVE THEM OR LEAVE THEM We don't need our support divided anymore than it already is. Watchin home games has become sad when I can hear the players talking over the singing. And as for dissing Whyte yer a wee moron. You don't know everything going on. What we're suppose to go into debt, again, cuz you want us to spend? WE ARE NOT OWNED BY AN OIL BARRON HE IS NOT A SHIEK WE ARE NOT IN ENGLAND OR IN DEBT STOP CRYING no one wants to hear it anymore.

Agree0 Disagree0

What has whyte done? nothing thats what he hasnt even cleared the bank debt. the guys an imposter

Agree0 Disagree0

Gee the guy that posted this a break, am annoyed anol. wheres this money whytes promised for players? was it 10-15 million he said?...dunno about yous but a dont like ppl who lie n thats no a stupid wee one, if hes lied about that wot else is he gona lie about. no wonder some of the previous board didnt want him cause they knew wot hes like...so shut it...everyone has an opinion

Agree0 Disagree0

You know mackay and bedoya are pathetic, here we go players slagged before they play, what chance do they have.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you see anybody else rushing to buy us???

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to laugh at aw the people who say 'get to f**k' when theres a post put on with fans being pissed off with transfer activity(or lack of it)at ibrox,we buy tickets, sirts and club merchandise too so are therefore supporting the club and can express our opinions any way we want
And to the first reply, you dont even know who owns the club, its c.whyte NOT g.white ya clown

Agree0 Disagree0

Cmon guys u got to admit iit , weve not spent the money we were told we would be spending , but never the less watp

Agree0 Disagree0

You call yourselves Rangers fans? If you aren't gonna get behind the club/manager/chairman - get to f***. Just because you buy a ticket for £20 doesn't mean we can blaze £4 million on some guy who's worth less than half that, or 'buy' somebody that doesn't want to play for us. The days of multi-million pound signings are over for ALL Scottish teams - either accept it, or p*** off and follow Rupert Murdoch's league of foreigners down south before it gets taken apart by FIFAs fair-play ruling.

have we had a boy called lopez on trial? if so has anyone heard how he`s been doing? whats happening with ryhs murphy?

Believable5 Unbelievable5

The boy lopez has returned to the block and MURPHY on a rangers top, cmon pal

Agree0 Disagree0

Lopez was awsome from what i was told. He was that good they had to use nets to stop him in training but wasnt defensive enough so we will just sign another cb instead.

More Hutton rumours, where they coming from ed? {Ed032's Note - The same source says Gattuso, Alan Smith, Lovenkrands are coming}

Believable4 Unbelievable10

15 Aug 2011 18:28:26
ed is there any youth players that have not played a first team game this season that you think could be a good player for rangers {Ed032's Note - Darren Cole has yet to feature. Thomas Kind Bendiksen. The 2 Norweigan twins Skogsrud could also see a cup game or 2. There's plenty more but not many have showed signs of breaking into the first team except from Cole and Bendiksen who haven't already featured. You never know}

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Cole has played ''1'' game, a year ago and never been seen since, not even in friendlies, so what makes you think he is ready to break through.....we're getting desperate, wanting guys to break through. {Ed032's Note - he asked me what players i think who havent played a first team game this season. by playing last year he will still be on the managers mind one way or another. could you name me other players who you think then?}

Agree0 Disagree0

McCabe but I think he played against Blackpool

Rangers target St Etienne american defender Carlos Bocanegra . . source BBC news

Believable8 Unbelievable4

Is he a natural left back or centre back?

Agree0 Disagree0

As an American, I say ... wrong Carlos.

I appreciate Bocanegra's work and effort on the USNT, but he doesn't have it anymore. He's not the answer, in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

What, are we trying to buy the entire US national team..... I can't understand why we'd spend money bringing in yet another out of date player, when we struggle to pay Greg Wylde a decent wage, a young player who if handled correctly would at least have a decent sell on value. So much for the amazing signings this season..... With the sale of Bougherra and the funds from Adams, even Lloyds would have allowed us to buy the players we have. We may still have been in debt, but at least we would all have known what to expect, and not live with false promises. Given that we have released some players and managed to get rid of the loan players, we would still have been able to offer better contracts to Davis, McGregor ..... Come on Mr Whyte put your money where your mouth is.....

Carlos Bocenegra quality player

and would cost less then a million quid

Source: BBC

Hello fellow bears, I've posted here a couple of times, hopefully admin will tell you.

I work for a the taxi company who Ibrox use at events

I told you about us not signing Goodwillie or Santa Cruz
But was shot down as aload of mince.

Rangers are looking at signing another 5 players. 3 of them under the age 25 to bolster there squad. Gattuso won't be heading back Bears sorry to be the bearer of bad news (no pun intended)

All I can confirm is at least two will be loans, and 1 possibly 2 of our signings will be spl players. WATP

Believable3 Unbelievable14

So your post about goodwillie ( who never wanted to come to rangers and we never offered any decent money for) and the one about santa cruz (who we never offered a penny for and could never afford his wages) got shot down?

Shock Horror Vast intake of breath I am now hanging on your every word you oracle of all things red white and blue

Agree0 Disagree0

What the guy above me said.

Why would anyone shoot you down as aload of mince for saying goodwillie and santa cruz wouldnt sign lol ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Here mate read your own post there and tell us would you believe that if someone else posted .. all i can confirm as that your talking s**te .. aye am sure mr whyte foned the taxi firm that rangers use to let them know that they will be signing 5 more players ... aye good yeen

this is a little premature and i hope mccoist does realy well as rangers manager, but if for some reason he has to go, i would like to see big tell butcher as manager and ray willkins as his no 2 what do use all think ramie govan front

Believable7 Unbelievable17

I think we shouldn't even be talking about mccoist going.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds good to me, Souness and Wilkins would be better though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please give the guy a chance, get behind him and stop trying to speculate on his role after only a few games Yes going out of CL early was poor but think the players let us down more than he did. Hopefully he will piece together a side before the end of the window if mr whyte gives him a little more to get a bit of pace and creativity into the side. I'm sure ally will get the boys into winning side

Agree0 Disagree0

Get behind mcoist if u r a true blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Premature or not ,I think we shouldnt even be thinking or talking about Allys replacement. Get behind the manager we have got and the good times will roll. RdRc

Agree0 Disagree0

What because you see them managing a Sky Sports fantasy team lol

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not a little premature, it's a disgrace. Super ally was still going strong long after butcher and Wilkins had been chased out by souness.

What pedigree does butcher have?

Give ally a break. Whyte is hardly Murray in his youth

Agree0 Disagree0

Hear me thinking we are good fans its being a few games come on now IN ALLY WE TRUST

Agree0 Disagree0

I was only asking, im 110% on mccoist`s side ramie govan front

Agree0 Disagree0

Ridiculous to even mention this mate. Another fan with no faith in mccoist Shocking...

Agree0 Disagree0

If he had any bottle he would walk just a wee daft boy the banger u no it makes sense

Agree0 Disagree0

I think mate Terry Butcher will be the next BUT, Ally will succeed first, Terry Butcher will get his time

Agree0 Disagree0

Time for coisty to go.....he's no balls and should be speaking out more about what his role is exactly as far as players go.....luv Ally, but he's not boss material, i think we all know that it won't be long term.....we want it to work, but it ain't going to.

Agree0 Disagree0

That kind of p&#h talk does our club no good at all. support the team and our manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Give the man a chance, Rangers fan? get a grip

Agree0 Disagree0

What about Stuart McCall? Been very impressed with the job he's done at Motherwell.

Agree0 Disagree0

In super Ally we trust tit

Agree0 Disagree0

Its SHOCKING how alot of so called Rangers supporter calling for Ally to go get behind the team & the manager needs time and signings WTP

Your a joke Give him a chance

Rino Gattuso is going to be the surprise signing for McCoist. He is coming in on loan with Rangers paying 60% of his wages for a season with the option to sign him in January. Source.....contact within the Italien embassey in Rome who is married to his sister

Believable10 Unbelievable21

Away back to the runners up page you septic, WATP.

Agree0 Disagree0

This rumour is true from a good source but shhhh

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not just say your contact is his brother in law. Trying too much to impress old chap.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope ure right cant see it though

Agree0 Disagree0

Sure, btw you cant even spell italian Give me a break, cant afford danns, tomed, conway etc but we can afford gattuso get real mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Italien embassey?? if this had a inch of truth it could be the "italian embassy" but pitty your a bullsh****

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love it to happen but it wont and as for danny wilson r rangers having a laff he f****d us over n went to l/pool and didn wanto learn his trade heer "a no go" for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe if you spelt Italian correctly we might have believed you

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you tripping on mushrooms or are you a total idiot? why would there be an italian embacy in rome? rome is in italy. the purpose of an embacy is to aid its countrys nationals and deal with its affairs ABROAD. by the way italien? learn to spell moron.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's finished now so we will go sign him on high wages Somehow I don't think so Firstly, He's too expensive and secondly he's no that good now and would probably come for all the wrong reasons being in the front page as opposed to the back pages

Agree0 Disagree0

Tea pot and black come to mind mate (embacy)school boy error slating someone else for their spelling,i think you both meant,Embassy LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would the Italian's have an embassy in Rome? It's their capital FFS
Now if it was the British Embassy, that may have been more believable.

Agree0 Disagree0

I must admit I find it amusing when someone says "Learn to spell moron" when they themselves misspell a word.
It's embassy, not embacy.

Agree0 Disagree0

60% of a 90k ha

Rangers will bid 300k for Tom Hateley of Motherwell. Mccoist is impressed his ability to play in a number of positions and his dead ball ability.

Believable8 Unbelievable14

How do you know McCoist is impressed? Have you spoke to him or are you telling porkies?

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you mark hately

Agree0 Disagree0

Dead ball ability what you on about last time he scored from a free kick other than at the weekend was against Odense (spelling) at beginning of last season

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2011 18:54:47
Is it not the case that as whyte inherited mccoist as manager ,it may not be his longer term plan to keep him. And was Sam alardyce his choice before he went to west ham ?

Believable7 Unbelievable12

Can see were your coming from but I Honestly hope ALLY makes it

Agree0 Disagree0

No. Being a loyal blue I'd say he's gonna respect Walters opinion of super ally and give him minimum 2 years t prove himself. I believe in him. And I expect a striker and a centre to be signed before the end o the windie.

Agree0 Disagree0

Walters opinion is not worth anything of Ally doesn't perform.

Agree0 Disagree0

Walter's opinion was given time ally would cone good. I personally don't think he's done too bad so far . I just hope if there is a bad result the knives aren't out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stuff allardyce,he is celtic minded, stop all this nonsense mccoist is in charge until the owners say not some wee ned oan here getting ally the boot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sam Allardyce? The only manager in Britain who plays more negative football than Walter Smith.

Agree0 Disagree0

What chance do we have of signing these guys that everyone posts about when we can only offer an up and coming star like wylde (who is already better than most of these guys) £800 per week. Get real. Crying out for a winger and we have one sitting there about to walk.
If rangers had any cash they would not be haggling over this boy's contract with such a derisory offer.
I was going to say were becoming a laughing stock but I think we're excelling ourselves in this department and are already a laughing stock.

Believable17 Unbelievable5

Wilde is poor and not deserving of much more, he will not be at Rangers long as he is not good enough, one dimensional is an understatement.

Agree0 Disagree0

A winger with no skill lol wylde is rotten, thats why he is being offered the carp contract

Agree0 Disagree0

Think most people underestimate the lad, he is still young and to be honest he's probably told to hug the touchline due to his pace. Give the guy a break He can still get better. Although it does depend on how much he wants i do agrre he is relativley unproven to command a big wage

Agree0 Disagree0

His attitude stinks

Agree0 Disagree0

Just my opinion, but I think there is more to it. I don't think Rangers are happy with who his agent. Is.
Personally I would tell him to either change his agent or leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't think that £800 is exactly overpaid when compared to the average wage of squad players. He might not be the best player yet,but surely he should be allowed to develop at a decent wage. Keep thinking about Charlie Adam.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have said in the past he deserves more dough but not more than Jamie Ness if hes gonna cause problems punt him

Agree0 Disagree0

ssn have just got word on gary hamilton going to rangers

Believable8 Unbelievable9

Who th hell is gary hamilton

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard it was lewis hamilton

Agree0 Disagree0

Lies i have been watching for last 2 hours and not a word about him

Agree0 Disagree0

For the fact no one has heard of him makes it more likely he'll be comin to us :( *sigh* {Ed011's Note - The rumour on this web site is striker, Gary Hamilton from Glentoran}

Agree0 Disagree0

He's s**t,part timer who plays for glentoran, was taking £900 a week off the glens who couldn't afford it,farmed out on loan last season to glenavon.he's now back at glentoran after taking a wage cut.there's not a chance of him ever signing for rangers and I for one,not because I'm a linfield fan, wouldnt go back to ibrox if we signed this deadbeat

Agree0 Disagree0

You're all mistaken....it's actually Natasha Hamilton, formerley of Atomic Kitten. She's available on a free transfer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ssn have just reported that yer talkin sh*te

Agree0 Disagree0

I know gary.. i live beside him near lurgan in northern ireland.. he aint going to rangers.. and if he is its berwick rangers.. he smokes likea train and drinks likea fish... fact played for portadown glentoran,, and was at glenavon on loan last season.....

Its getting a little too obvious now that we don't have the money that we were all told would be invested into the team. McCoist is putting on a brave face.

CC

Believable15 Unbelievable6

I disagree, when we were told there was a supposed 15million to spend people assume that means 15 million in transfer fees. Whyte is obviously successful and in the eyes of a business man the 15million promised will include everything, fees, wages etc. We are in a better place than this time last year and a better place than we wold have been with no investment. If we loose the league everyone will blame Whytes supposed lack of investment, but with the same core team and additions it seems unfair to lay all the blame at whytes door.

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig Whyte is very clever in the wording he uses. When making the claims about £15m being made available to McCoist he never said that he'd be providing the funds. He simply said it would be made available. Clearly this was the Champions League money Rangers anticipated getting on qualifying for the Champions League. Now that that hasn't happened, it doesn't take a brain surgeon to work out that no £15m is available.

Agree0 Disagree0

What's the point of judging until the transfer window shuts?

Agreed we need players but we would all be criticising if we rushed in to buy people at over inflated prices. Whyte can't win in this situation.

Whyte's methodology is risky as we may miss out on a few but we may save a few bob which after all is part of his job to save the club money.

Are we all surprised?, remember how long Whyte took to get the due diligence sorted out in buying the club he is conducting his own due diligence in buying a player-what is a players value not what is his price. He is a business man who has made a living rescuing troubled businesses and selling them for a profit....exactly what he will do with Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon a few mill will be spent on a def and a striker yet...

Agree0 Disagree0

One word TAX,why splash out a fortune on players when the tax issue could put us in administration if the wrong decision is made.Typical numptys, cannae see the bigger picture.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on. Proof is in the pudding. We've put in offers for about 10 players and got 3 due to poor quality of offers. I think it's so they can turn around and say 'we tried'.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2011 17:36:43
am not saying that this is gonna be our team am just saying whati would like to see some of these players dont play with us before anybody starts saying he doesnt play with rangers i already know

mcgregor
Hutton cuellar goian papac
bartley
Ortiz Davis Wallace
lafferty jelavic

Believable7 Unbelievable23

Some of these players don't play with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

No naismith and bartley in the midfield ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Ortiz in before Naismith? Are you for real? Get off Championship Manager and try actually going to Ibrox to watch a game.

Agree0 Disagree0

No naisy? No bedoya? No McKay?

Cuellar is not coming and I am glad

Agree0 Disagree0

Ortiz instead of naismith...what planet are u on?

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like personally to see messie on the rite, nani on the left and tevez through the middle, but they dont play 4 us so whats the point in posting this??

Agree0 Disagree0

Bartley holding midfielder, can you not remember when he played there in his first game, got a yellow card for diving in in the 3rd minute.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rather have juhasz for cuellar, a midfield of naisy, davis, bartley and bedoya. Wallace/papac rotated.

Would also like to see us bring in ano striker, preferrably a poacher with some pace.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2011 17:36:27

to the obv tim having a go at murray park.

Let me see the list of players to make it as internationlists:

Greggsy, A Hutton, Wilson, Burke, Adam, Naismith (ok wasnt found here but defo nurtered here) fleck, wylde, perry, macmillan, Stevie Smith, Ness, K Hutton off the top of my head there are loads more all these players are either current internationalists or u21's. But yeah its produced nobody ........ errrr

GTID

Believable11 Unbelievable2

Well said that man facts n figures confuse them to feck

Agree0 Disagree0

Naismith was not nurtured there - he was laready the player he is today when he got to Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eh... You seem to forget Naismith came thru the Killie youth system

Agree0 Disagree0

The murray park system is good but you have to say wheres all the money we got from selling these young talents on?? shocking buisness

Agree0 Disagree0

Wylde was with rangers and celtic he was with rangers then left for celtic then returned to rangers so it was a bit of both

Agree0 Disagree0

We sold Hutton for £9 million and just got over a million for Adam through a sell on clause. Murray Park cost £15 million we have already recouped that if you count everyone we have sold ie Wilson, Burke.

rangers are in talks with Newcastle over the loan singing of Leon best with an option to buy after for 2.5m........steboro

I was at St.James's park last season a couple of times and was impressed by Best each time. Quick and a real hand full. I doubt we'd be able to get him on board but it's Newcastle so you never know.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im a newcastle fan and we are not selling leon best. so this is lies

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think guy who took up his option to play for roi would want to come to Ibrox do you.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance hes from ROI

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers don't sign players from ROI

Agree0 Disagree0

Just spoke to Leon Best's mum in Nottingham and the boy is staying at Newcastle.

I agree with the above post these days are gone what doe sit matter if he is from ROI

heard liverpool also want him -bbc website. why has he become so over rated after ONE performance and in case any one has forgotton it was against the faroe islands at this rate jelavic and davis and mcgregor should be getting sold for £250 million :) whats going on

Believable2 Unbelievable11

Papers have it wrong its hooper liverpool are after

I agree he is duff but thats who Liverpool are looking at will not play on Thursday as being cup tied will doom the deal

I cant see gregg wylde improving much from how good he is now which is one dimensional averageness.

if we can get £750k for him id sell and bring bedoya in now.

Believable13 Unbelievable7

The few games this kid has played I think he's done a half decent job plus no ones like playing against a player with pace and this guys got bags of it and still only 20 so plenty of time to improve give him a whole season in the first team playin games week in week out and could be an outstanding player and future prospect for the club 4IAR

Well said mate/

Signings we definately require before Sep 1st.

Centre Back, Centre Mid, Left Mid and Striker. We NEED 3 quality players not squad players at the very least.

Centre Back - Should use the money withdrawn from Cuellar bid and get in Juhasz.

Centre Mid - Bedoya/Mckay are hopefully coming. Dont think Edu/Mcculloch are up to it unfortunately.

Left wing - Ortiz is no Left mid, Verhoek would have been great but not Biseswar is are only hope of seeing a "Marquee" signing. He looks the real deal. Wylde should be given a better contract also.

Striker - Only Jelavic and Lafferty are up to scratch imo. Healy/Beattie?little are not Rangers standard. Naismith is best played on right side of midfield. Would love to see us bring in Matavz or someone with real quality and actually spend a bit of money. So far we have just about broken even and i think Whyte should show some real intent.

In a dream world i would have

Mcgregor

Whittaker Goian Juhasz Wallace

Naismith Davis Bedoya Biseswar

Jelavic Matavz

Realistically we are probably gonna get at the very best....

mcgregor

Whittaker Goian Bartley Wallace

Naismith Edu Davis Bedoya

Jelavic Lafferty

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Team up the top is great and if we could get weiss now or on a pre contract it would be great. One problem is that id like to see ness in the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do my fellow bluenoses want to
keep whitaker at RB he's the worst
RB in Gers history

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a great team if we could get it but agree with you when you say its a dream team - on the basis that we have a stingey board and the massive tax case

Agree0 Disagree0

Bedoya will be signed (STV website this afternoon). He has a work permit. Only fee to be agreed. Matt McKay is only awaiting a work permit so he'll be on board next week and maybe even for the Motherwell game on Sunday. I think your ideal teams should include Jamie Ness and Kyle Hutton, plus Greg Wylde too. What do you think?

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you must be havin nightmare whitticker not a footballer mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with the guy who made the Whittaker comment. It's drives me insane how so many people rate this guy. I'll say it again... Utility man and squad player at best

Agree0 Disagree0

Matavz was going to napoli until he called it off an they were paying 6 mill so that aint gona happpen

Agree0 Disagree0

My ideal team would be mcgregor.hutton, bartley, goian, papac naismith, bedoya, davis, wallace jelavic, lafferty subs;alexander, ness, mckay, mcculloch, healy [spambo]

Agree0 Disagree0

To the post above id swap goian and bartley because goian is better than bartley and hutton who is not a rb would need help

Agree0 Disagree0

I only said whittaker due to the contract we gave him, surely on that money we just stupidly gave him were not gonna play anyone else there?

Cameroon striker Paul Alo'o who plays for Nancy will sign tomorrow. Has been shown around Murray park today and likes what he saw. Fee is around 350-400k.

Why do people still say "Spurs owe us money for Hutton remember?" when he left three seasons ago and has made 50 odd appearances for them? I think its safe to say they've paid us the money.... JPM

Believable11 Unbelievable1

Spurs do owe some of the fee from the original sale.- no one disputes this.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dispute it. Do you have a source that proves they still owe us money? JPM

Agree0 Disagree0

Idiots the reason people say it coz its true jpm ave u got a source that says spurs have paid the bill ??

Agree0 Disagree0

Making 50 appearances doesnt mean they have definitely paid us. if we are owed money then we will get it, even if it has spread over 3/4 years

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you have proof they don't?

Agree0 Disagree0

The situation was that Murray had an agreement with Joe louis that agreed to buy his shares out for £9m. Murray gave them Hutton in exchange. No money was paid by spurs and none due

Some poster was talking of contradictions- sign quality players please versus give youth a chance.

It's really quite simple mate- frankly no point whatsoever signing rubbish like your: Hanlons, Davidsons or Hatelys- just play youth and save yourself the expense.

Some sort of quality somewhere would be preferable at least allied to this policy to give yourself a chance though. Unfortunately this is looking increasingly unlikely to me.

15 Aug 2011 16:19:25
Ok this is realistic transfers and squad I reckon we could afford with mr whytes pennies.

Ins.
Bikey - burnley 1.25 should get him
Murphy - motherwell 1.25 aswell
Hutton - loan (before anyone starts about saying wages etc spurs still owe us money for hutton)
Mckay - 300k
Bedoya- january

So team would look like such

Mcgregor

Hutton, bikey, goion, wallace

naismith davis ness murphy

Jelavic lafferty

Subs- alexander, bartley, papac, mckay, bedoya(jan), healy, hemmings

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Where is Ortiz ? Buy him and leave him at home ? that is not very economical, is it ?
Bartley, if he stays fit, would be a excellent partner for Goian, imo. Murphy, if we got him would be a sub in my team too, again it is only my opinion. 4 in a row

Agree0 Disagree0

English teams watching murphy, goodwillie worth 2.8 mil? murphys price has gone up to at least 2.5 i reckon

Agree0 Disagree0

I do quite like this line up but i would prefer a better back up attacking option rather than relying on Healy and Hemmings

Agree0 Disagree0

And lets pay Whittaker £25k a week to sit at home...? Actually, after recent performances, that's not a bad idea.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dream on mate its all a p.r stunt with players rangers have been linked wae.

Agree0 Disagree0

Okay timmy, so Ortiz, goain, bartley, wallace and bedoya were all PR stunts? away back to the runners up board with the rest of the bigots

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you really think we got Bartley on loan to sit on the bench, think about iy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Teams ok could be doin wae a wee bit betr quality no much tho and as for BIKEY no chance he is absolute bollocks al play for nothing instead a getn that clown

Agree0 Disagree0

The only problem with your theory is that it actually assumes that Rangers / Whyte have £2,8 million to buy these layers and money for their wages. It wouldn't surprise me if the money from the sale of Bougherra is being used to pay for Whyte's flights everywhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alan hutton will be at aston villa, spurs owe us nothing for him that is just a myth,h e hasnt played enough games to trigger that clause in his contract, think redknapp is stupid.

Does anyone out there remember the Dereks, Johnstone and Parlane at 19 playing for the starting 11 ? Brilliant players, full of confidence and given the chance despite their youth. Same should go for Ness and Wylde, who are certain Scotland greats in the not too distant future. Time for management to give Wylde a contract he's due. DJ got conned out of one by Wallace and Wadell in an era when agents weren't around to advise players without business acumen. Perry looks a good prospect and the Murray Park machine must be given its chance. That's what Rangers has been about prior to the Souness and Advocat regimes. Too many fans underestimating McCoist's intelligence and he'll prove once again as a Rangers great. Bedoya and McKay look like excellent buys. Maybe a striker as back up needed and one in central defence but that's it. They already have a formidable squad and thanks largely to Murray Park.

Believable12 Unbelievable2

Think we need a right back and a first team striker rather than back up tbo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Big D.J was 16 mate, and scored in the league cup final when he outjumped the very biased colomnist Mr macneil of Smellick. Parlane will remain one of my idols, he was a true centre forward in every sense. 4 in a row

Agree0 Disagree0

Oi you stop talking s**te mate pull that head of yours out of your ass and wake up son

Agree0 Disagree0

I sure do remember them. I could not agree with you more Sir. Ness and Wylde should be given more game time, they can only get better with experience. A centre back is definitely a necessity. To whoever made the inappropriate comment, you quite clearly have no clue of who the Dereks were, as a matter of fact you dont have any clue about anything regarding the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes - great team from the 70's - McCloy, Miller, Jardine, Jackson, Forsyth, Greig, MacLean, MacDonald, Johnstone, Stein, W Johnstone (plus Conn, McKean) and then came Russell, Cooper and the likes in the later 70's. I agree if you're good enough you are old enough Youngsters with an appetite to play, keen to learn & impress (even if it is to move on one day), still hungry for success - rather than journeymen on the way down or people who just aren't up to the job.

hey, im from northern ireland and support the glentoran. The news regarding Gary Hamilton going out to rangers on loan for the season, is correct. I dont know why people dont want the guy, the guy is a good footballer. He is on the way to scotland today and is doing the second part of the medical later today at ibrox. Rangers are going to pay 75% of his wages and have the option of buying him next season. great player sad to see him go

Do we need another striker? Looks like we will play a front 3 with Jelavic being the main man. Naismith, Ortiz, Wylde wide of the main striker, Lafferty still to come back in. A backup striker could be someone like jamie murphy, He would do well as the main striker of a 3 and could also be brought in to play wide of the 3. I would guess that he would also be ok with being a bit part player for a while and be given time to develop without too much pressure on him. Thoughts?

Believable4 Unbelievable4

Depends if we play a 4-4-2 or a 4-3-3 mate. With two up front we could go with Jelavic and Lafferty or Naismith.

But with a front 3 we would be probably be looking at bringing in another attacking winger to play alongsie Jelavic and Naismith.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yes we need a striker..laffertys out and as for healy where the fxxk is he howz he not playing big jelavic needs someone up there not been too impressed with Naismith so far doesn't look fit at all...

Agree0 Disagree0

We desperately need a another striker to partner jelivic , lafferty only scores at the end of the season and i would class naisy as a midfielder

markky watp

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we will go 433 and bring in another wide player. like i said murphy would be ideal because he would get games here and there when big jelavic needs a rest, could also play wide left, and there is no better player in the spl to learn from if you are going to be a top striker than big jelavic.

Rangers reject bid of 400k for gregg wylde
From bolton keep the lad at the club good
Winger with plenty of pace n no bad left peg

Believable10 Unbelievable4

I agree the few games this kid has played I think he's done a half decent job plus no ones like playing against a player with pace and this guys got bags of it and still only 20 so plenty of time to improve give him a whole season in the first team playin games week in week out and could be an outstanding player and future prospect for the club 4IAR

Agree0 Disagree0

He cant cross a ball so doesn't make him much of a winger maby they should try him up front for a couple of games see how he does since he has a good left peg

A think he will be a great player in a few years if he can practice his crossing

Anyone else think Goian looks a bit of a bargain at 500k?

Believable27 Unbelievable9

Goian has only played against St Johnstone and ICT, could be good, but i think you'll agree, we need to see him tested a bit more before we know for sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

He played for years in Serie A, you don't do that if you're no good

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, he will do well against the bread and butter of the SPL, would like to see him properly tested. So far he looks very composed and has good distribution. Very assured.

On that note i thought Jamie Ness was terrific on saturday, if we can keep the boy fit what a player he could be.

Agree0 Disagree0

I he's been tested well against st johnstone and inverness wow

Lay off Ally and Whyte and get behind the Bears, but I'm guessing some of you don't remember the early 80's and are only concerned with singing when your winning.

Remember the line, "though the streets be broad and narrow"...

Get behind 100% and support with dignity and grace...

Just heard on the lunch time news, that Glentoran and Rangers have agreed a loan deal for Gary Hamilton. hamiltonwill be at ibrox later today to get the move pushed through.. Rangers are to pay 75% of the wages as he is not on much at the Irish League Club. Will be a great signing for us

Believable6 Unbelievable8

As I am from Northern Ireland, stop bulls**tting, he just signed a new contract at the Glens He couldn't even cope in the SPL ffs.

Agree0 Disagree0

We already have one diddy Northern Irish centre forward (Healy). Rangers really need to sign quality striker to play with big Jela

Rangers paying 75% of his wages whats that like £100 quid a week surely rangers could pay his whole wage

Several people have been signed with more to come, the Big Romanian looks the business, Wallace will do well and Lay off Ortiz he is starting to come on to a game played a great cross in for the wrongly disallowed Jelavic goal and is doing okay in what is not his best position, i think he will prove to be a bargain buy by the end of the season.

closer to Jan. This has been rejected

Francelino Matuzalem could be set to join rangers in a 4.5million move along with argetinian maxi lopez {Ed047's Note - I would be very surprised if either came near Ibrox. Can't see it

Believable4 Unbelievable25

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance ...bigt

Agree0 Disagree0

Well believe mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Maxi lopez was on trial with a view to a loan

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree0 Disagree0

Maxi lopez doesnt need to come on loan ya nutter he wont come on his holidays

news in northern ireland is that in the papers, gary hamilton of glentoran is going on loan to rangers with option to buy, very skillful player and set piece master

Believable8 Unbelievable14

If he were that skillful wouldn't he have been signed by somebody by now? He's not exactly a spring chicken.

Agree0 Disagree0

This would be a great move for rangers as he has experiance in england when playing for blackburn and at international level. i hope rangers csaan get him. the move should be done by friday.

Agree0 Disagree0

You cannot be serious. guy not good enough even for Linfield ifa champions.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was playing for cardiff last season, so there you go, will sign for rangers before friday, trust me

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense he doesnt even get on for the glens at the minute and was on loan to glenavon last year

Agree0 Disagree0

How on earth was he at Cardiff when he was on loan to glenavon last season, this post is nonsense,no1 in the Irish league wants him including glentoran who pay his wages..what a load of guff

Agree0 Disagree0

Hamilton does get on for the glens, he is getting back to fittness, so there you got mate. big mcouist is a big fan of the guy, will be in the staring line in id say for saturday

Orebro have questioned Rangers' desire to sign Alejandro Bedoya, claiming that the Glasgow club have offered less than a previous £300,000 bid for the United States midfielder who has signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Scottish champions in January. (Daily Express)

Believable11 Unbelievable5

Orebro are just tryin to make us look bad we are doing them a favour by giving them cash for a player we lare signing for free. They should take whatever they are given and be happy with it then re-take their place in the European abyss and keep their opinions to themselves

Agree0 Disagree0

Just get him for free in january, 300k is a lot for a team like them as well + the wages he will still be due for 6 months, crazy chairman imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have played a few games now so we would be missing out on the games he could play so why pay more?? It is business to pay less as we get less out of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

And next offer should be lower again for once I agree January is getting closer not further

Agree0 Disagree0

The whole transfer window thing is a farce, it should be scrapped,,this bedoya guy will now have to sit it out at a club he doesnt want to be at because of some crappy ruling. we shud wait til the last minute then offfer 100 grand, they will take it most probably

Agree0 Disagree0

He has one month less on his contract than before so it makes sense to offer less not more.

I can confirm Rangers will attempt to sign Tom Hateley and Jamie Murphy by the end of the month.

Believable5 Unbelievable17

Are you in a position to confirm this? If we are to sign them then we should do so before Sunday when we visit Motherwell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would Like this to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

UTTER JOBBY

Tom hateley is rank rotten

Agree0 Disagree0

No way, McCoist may be out of a job by then

Just reading up on this Mladen Petric dude.... he set an FC Basel scarf on fire whilst playing for Grasshopper and then SIGNS for Basel the following season, lol. Thats worse than Kenny Millers Celtic badge kissing ;-)

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Kenny Miller never kissed the celtic badge, thats a myth. No saying he's Rangers through and through coz obviously he aint. But the badge kiss never happened. FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

Another player who would make scott brown s**t himself

Agree0 Disagree0

Regardless of his wind up tactics I doubt we'd afford the fee never mind the wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where have these petrovic rumours came fro

Agree0 Disagree0

He sounds like he would fit in at Rangers very well ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Mladen petric=not a chance in hell rangers would appeal to this guy ... hamburg player also so no chance hed go to gers plus wages would defo be an issue

Rangers to step up bid to bring back Danny Wilson on loan after defensive injuries.

Believable11 Unbelievable5

Hope so maybe wise up Greg wylde...

Agree0 Disagree0

We wont get wilson because we're leaving it too late as fuc*ing usual. We could have had an unstoppable team (in the spl) with signings like goodwillie miller cuellar but We're being run by amateurs. I'd love to know how this idiot Whyte made his fortune?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, maybe he can talk some sense into him. I'd get rid of that fud McAvennie as my agent too if I were him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Danny wilson can get to fk rangers are going backwards

Agree0 Disagree0

McCoist to decide tomorrow if he wants Danny Wilson back on loan, he will talk with Gordon Smith according to the telegraph

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Surely there is no choice to be made rangers need him right now due to injuries,
I'm a celtic supporter & if he could go to celtic we would bite his hand off
marty bhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you saying Gordon Smith decides if a player is good enough before Ally? or are you saying he decides on cash before Whyte? Come to think about it not sure what he does for his cash.
