walter smith to be offered scotland job on a part time basis

Why would it be part time?

He is only a non executive director at the club, not a full employee..

No Thanks he walked away before

On the board at Ibrox AND Scotland manager.....don't think so !

No way, he turned his back on his country, should be banned from any Scotland vacancies

To say he turned his back on his country is just plain crazy talk, the guy followed his heart going to Rangers, and left Scotland in a better state than he got it, Strachan is your man

I know we are absolute keek at the moment, so what is Walter going to do to make things different? Not much! The only thing he is good at is getting results! And he doesn't care what type of football his team play to get them! So before you start slagging off the great unwashed for theirc10percent effort against barca, look at rangers during Walters reign! Pretty god dam dire to watch!!

He may have followed his heart and went to old Rangers but he still turned his back on his country cant be forgotten or forgiven

Walter Smith would be the best choice the SFA could make since appointing him the first time around but the Scotland job is toxic at the moment and Walter would be best to stay well away he worked miracles the first time around and actually gave us a national side to be proud of but Levien destroyed all him and big Eck done for Scotland we took 10 paces forward under those 2 and 100 back under Levein . I say give the job to WGS

I'm afraid Walter does walking away.
Anyway he's busy teaching someone to say gottleagear!

As a 'Tic follower I would love this post to be true. WS was the man who turned the team around and he left to follow his heart and I respect that. He left a former RFC manager with a good squad (no superstars, similar as today, but a bunch of players who played to their strengths). I would love to see him in charge.

Ian the bear, good comment and that is why WS is the man to bring in right now. Proven track record and has the time to commit.

I do not doubt Walter Smiths ability, but surely with the World Cup gone its time time for a younger man to take us onto the Euros.

Walter smith never turned his back on scotland.! He went where he was badly needed at the time. And that was rangers after that le guen left us in tatters. is it our fault the powers that b put in a dud like levien ? He cdnt organize a six a side lol. WELCOME HOME WALTER Xxxxxxxxx
