Lets make Mr whyte more monies then.......
Don't think so. u have killed our club and boycott in an un imaginable scale needs ti be executed!!

....ferguson McCann and Celtic situation was very different situation!
End of last text ed that send too early. Sorry!

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye, more money to pay off creditors. Whyte won't pay it, glad the Ranger's supporters want to.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bounce all the way to insolvency?

Agree0 Disagree0

Back mccoist & the team

now more than ever

watp
(and always will be)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally cost you £10 million with a series of catastrophic defeats and throw away a 15 point lead in the league. Do you seriously think CW would have pursued admin if rangers were still comfortably in front in the title race. No chance. Ally's incompetence contributed to creating the conditions for this move.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr tight will not get a penny more from me.

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant believe some of the replys on here im as pi55ed off as the next person at least get behind the team or yous just gonna drop the gers and go watch somebody else aye , unbelievable and shockin..... craig+babybear

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally's incompetence, seriously? A league is 38 games and he didn't throw away a 15 point lead, they lost a nine point lead. You can't throw away points when they are games in hand for the other team.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

I cannot beleive your audacity to suggest Ally McCoist is to blame for Craig Whyte's wrong doings. CW has had a history of buying businesses under serious financial constraints and verging on administration, whether they go into administration or not he always assesses the situation before the purchase of the company to confirm that whatever way the company goes he will be the principle beneficiary. Furthermore the 15 point lead that you all bang on about is a figure created by the media to exaggerate the situation and manipulate the masses. Rangers were 15 points ahead for 2 hours until Celtic played their game later that Saturday afternoon. Also Celtic had 2 games in hand and an old firm to play - in reality Rangers had a 6 point lead and lost an old firm and a couple of games due to our diminishing squad and absence of Naismith who I would regard as the best player in Rangers' modern history, always providing options out wide and through the centre - banging a few goals in along the way. So please, don't be so patronising to your fellow fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

I must also include - if CW had any intentions of avoiding administration and winning the title this year to garuantee European football which he has said himself is necessary to make a profitable annual turnover he would have invested on the squad at the start of the season. CW knew the club was in disrepute and going to inevitably suffer a 10 point deduction and therefore wasn't keen on spending a penny in the playing squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rugby for me craigy

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte has been a disaster as has Mccoist , need sweeping changes throughout Ibrox . We as supporters must stand united to show the club is worth saving

Agree0 Disagree0

Catch 22 back the team or give the wee ars**** more money?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's got to be back the team. It's a perilous state rangers are in. Confidence will be fragile after events today and yesterday. Whether you like Ally or not, he's the manager and is 100% blameless IMO. David Murray has a god damned cheek even commenting on this as it is entirely his fault.
Craig Whyte has managed to convince people that he was some sort of saviour and lack of proper investigation from rangers, the SFA (fit and proper person test) and to a slightly lesser extent the Scottish media are all to blame.

Agree0 Disagree0

I phoned for my ticket this afternonn, no many tickets left. Lets get behind the players and Ally. F#ck Craig Whyte. Long live Rangers. WATP!

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig whyte stop posting on the rumour site!

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you know how many tickets their are now Craig+bay bear, planning on getting one

Agree0 Disagree0

Full house for sat, even if you aint got a ticket it would be great for the moral and show support for players ahd club if people just turned up. imagine 50.000 inside and thousands outside

Agree0 Disagree0

Its bogof for tkts on sat

Ed, what is the story with cousin? did his signing go through in time or is he leaving immediately? {Ed001's Note - Rangers have applied to submit his registration to the SFA, but it is hard to know what will happen. The administrators might yet have the option to cancel the deal or the SFA might refuse to sanction it.}

Believable17 Unbelievable8

Cant see the administrators going for this.nearly 100k for four months?

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 21:57:32
radio clyde just reported that former director paul murray to ask the administrator tomorrow how much it will cost to buy rangers
jaasblue

Believable35 Unbelievable14

Paul murray to buy Rangers yesssssssss, so if that happens he inherits the debts also plus the tax dues, if any = square 1.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does everyone REALLY believe that Craig Whyte has an agenda for himself? or am I the only 1 who believes he has a trick up his sleeve? No way someone would put ther family and friends under this much P. To make a quick buck and run a guantlet for the rest of their life. If ther was another option, then why did P.murray and his crew not make more of a case for their plans instead of just saying whyte was wrong. I'll tell u why: because they wer still employees the longer his takeover lasted, and wer gettin paid for doin sweet F.A

Agree0 Disagree0

How about £110 million.

Dream on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I beleive the last valuation of the club was £1.

Agree0 Disagree0

The value of the club will be higher than the £1 paid by whyte. I think the admin will be looking for £30mill min. paul murray has no chance.....hmmm perhaps someone who has stole £24mill of season ticket money may have some spare cash too..... hmm.... whyte knows what he is doing!

Agree0 Disagree0

14 months of due diligence tells you break down value of RFC is 20 million, worst scenario go bust, Whyte buys RFC off receiver with Ticketus secured money and all debt gone. Join English League, lose 10 million for two years ( 2nd and 1st), profit in Championship, super profit in Premiership, Rangers valued same as Newcastle at 200 million. Whyte makes 160 million in 4-5 years.

RFC wins Champions League in 2018, thanks to Whyte and McSky.

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll ask how much it will cost, he'll get told how much it will cost, he'll decide it costs too much and that will be the end of that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to say I agree with the second post and have done for a while. There is no way a man would put himself and his family in the public eye and risk his own safety to make a quick buck from a football club such as Rangers. CW could have made the same money by administrating or liquidising other companys no one would have even batted and eye lid at. But he chooses to do it in the public eye to a Football Club! I dont think so. Yes these are hard times and yes there are dodgy dealings going on but if you think he is going to leave us in the gutter and walk away for a few bucks I think you are mistaken. He stands to make far more from a profitable stable company and thats what he will do. Yes things had to get worse before they got better but that is not his doing he is trying to steady a sinking ship. Only time will tell. I may be wrong. But i cannot see any man being as bold as this. He has done this all his life and could have continued to do it in the shadows. There is more to what is going on than meets the eye. Be patient bears because when the dust settles there will be a stronger club.

Agree0 Disagree0

You be better emailing the queen and get her to have a word with David Cameron FFS.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok im sorry, is this for real?? On what grounds should they drop this case? If and it is still If rangers are guilty of not paying vast swathes of tax, why should they be let off?

If you didnt pay your tax, they wouldnt back down from legal action why should it be any different for a company?

Lets say Scottish gas never paid their tax from their profits and busines dealings, would you be happy at a big company seeking all the loopholes they can to get off with it? Yes it is within their legal rights and hopefully these situations are being looked into more at govt level, But why should a Football club be able to get an "oh ok fair enough yous have 50 odd thousand customers every other week you can get off with it, on yous go you cheeky wee chappies, have fun now !" Dont think so, I suppose desperate measures call for desperate times eh?

Evinguu

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are RFC a special case? Today 9 Mill PAYE / VAT since Whyte took over. If HMRC win their tax case then you are like any other company you have been brought to task for not paying your dues to the crown (I hope you see the irony). If HMRC win their case then every trophy won during this period is tainted as it was obviously not a level playing field as the club was able to pay inflated wages via "loans". You reap what you sow

Agree0 Disagree0

Just signed it.

Mickey Mouse

Agree0 Disagree0

Astonishing! A club who cared not a jot for anyone in its 140 year history. Fans who rammed down the throat of everyone that they were the people. A club that has tapped up every player and then made derisory offers for there players then when the s**t hits the fan they want everyone to rally round them and hmrc to let them off for unpaid tax everyone else has to pay!!

Agree0 Disagree0

If hmrc lose, the should leave it be, but they wont, they will appeal appeal appeal. that is not fair! and incidentally, i honestly believe they will lose.... in any case, there are other issues forcing the admin. all will be clear in the next few weeks. a bitter pill to swallow, but we will come out of this better off!

Agree0 Disagree0

Pay up or face the consequences. It's the least you can expect after cheating. The cheek not even paying tax for this year I think someone should going to prison.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally shameless

Agree0 Disagree0

We could ask vodaphone or Philip Green to help us out - - now thats how to do a tax return!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry must have missed something - - -the case been decided then has it??

Agree0 Disagree0

Re: Evinguu

Companies avoid paying tax and come to deals with the HMRC, vodaphone is just one example.

However rangers is obviously more public and it has huge implications for down south so it isnt as easy. Saying rangers shouldn't be allowed to come to a deal is punishing them for being a very public company that means more to people than companies such as Vodafone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Disgraceful idea...

Agree0 Disagree0

The Vodafone and Goldman Sachs cases created huge public anger because HMRC did deals - the government doesn't want any more of that on its watch so HMRC will be pushing for as much as possible. Imagine you were a member of the public with no interest in football: would you be happy if Rangers were cut a deal when your finances were being squeezed so you'd had to cut back?

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 21:22:36
The hmrc are going to either remove whytes assets,or not negotiate and could still wind up company, today case wasent about gers keeping their assets it was whyte making sure he was still in control, the hmrc r like a dog with a bone, whyte n hmrc borh wunt liquadation its just a race to get their first,

Believable11 Unbelievable16

The HMRC want paid. doesn't get more simple than that. End of.

Liquidation doesn't help them. From their perspective liquidation = small payment (if any) plus a phoenix coming, to all extents and purposes using the rangers name that owed them nil.

stacks of complications on this (i.e. what happens to league membership) but as far as HMRC concerned liquidation = no money for them

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed, hmrc dont want liquidation. they will accept some form of reasonable reduction in the sums due rather than lose the lot. prob is, this negotiation could take along time, and i reckon it will drag on into next season. perhaps celtic will have a chance of winning the league next year too! lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for reply (and agreeing!)

HMRC want money, they know they won't get it all. What has made them play hardball (i.e. go into administration immediately) is the fact that whyte has paid no NI or PAYE since he took over.

The administrator he appointed (yes they've worked together before) confirmed this today.

When the administrator looks into what has happened to ticketus money (specifically if there has been any of this paid separately, as an introduction or some sort of commission and to whom) is where this will get very interesting.

Hold on tight bears. More to come I fear.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is correct that HMRC want the revenue due, it doesn't follow that they will accept a reduced offer. Their position is clear pay the whole debt or cease trading no negotiation as such a precedent for reduced payment is one they are completely unwilling to set

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 21:07:28
be interesting to know how the jelivic transfer was structured ,was it a one off instant payment or delayed till later so that the 5 million will go towards the 18 million that whyte would get as the main creditor ,that would explain why he was forced out

Believable8 Unbelievable3

I suspect jelavic transfer happened as rangers had run out of cash. Couldn't pay wage bill/ costs of stadium etc. For a business that has just entered administration that is fine....

however

When you consider Mr Whyte has said RFC monthly cash burn is £3.5m, and he has taken in c £24m from ticketus, plus that £5.5m from Jelavis - then that must mean Rangers could be sustained for oh I don't know, longer than the 9 months since he took over?

Wait a minute, this is the same guy that hasn't paid any PAYE or NI since he took over? That's another £9m - according to the administrator (that he appointed, and that has worked with him before, yes Mr W knows what he is doing here)

Sums: 24 plus 5.5 plus 9 = 38.5

Where is it Craig?

I'm looking forward to see if the administrators reveal exactly what has happened to the ticketus money - and particularly if this has been split off in any way.

From what I hear there's more to come on this I'm afraid.

Its not all bad though - the amount of people investigating Mr Whyte's dealings, this could be the most comprehensive piece of due diligence in history. Too bad this wasn't done before he took over.

A sad, sad day.

Agree0 Disagree0

As I said as an everton fan...rangers owed everton monies which they had a gentlemans agreement over...Jelavic went to everton with everton giving rangers no were near the fee

Agree0 Disagree0

Does no one else see the CW Masterplan?
yesterday clever people questioned how Rangers would be allowed to go into administration. Employees had all been paid. who did they owe money to? forget the 'big tax case'. That's not landed yet.
CW needed to create a creditor who'd pursue Rangers for unpaid bills/taxes. Not a football debt however because that could lead to transfer embargos.
So step forward HMRC. Withold VAT, PAYE etc and they'll probably soon come callin'.They duly did and attempted to put Rangers into administration. Only CW got there first & got his own administator.
Now in administation Rangers main secured creditor is himself followed by HMRC and their unpaid VAT, PAYE etc(not the big tax case).
Rangers will come out of this at the other end (perhaps as a new company or phoenix company as Leeds did) and leave behind the 'big tax case' and the old Rangers company. The new Rangers would emerege & HMRC would not be able to pursue the 'big tax case' cos the 'old Rangers' no longer existed.
SDM's view that Rangers would probably win the 'big tax case' was risky. If Rangers lost they'd be finished. There's no way they could pay the figures quoted

Agree0 Disagree0

I kinda thot this wen he wouldnt put money in bt still dont trust him bt why would u invest into a buisness thats gonna gt shafted by the tax man n lose the lot . also after seeing the particulars about the big tax case i think its a disgrace that hmrc can show up ten years down the line n demand money 2 or 3 years maybe bt to turn up a decade later is disgraceful hope they gt nothing

Alistair Johnston has lied to us as well. He came out saying that SDM had the option to take the club back if CW had breached conditions of the sale.

SDM has confirmed today with BBC that that is NOT the case.

So why is Johnston lying to us?

Believable15 Unbelievable3

AJ stood up at the 2010 AGM and stated that the tax case was not a problem for Ranger but a issue for Murray Group.

Agree0 Disagree0

Check out Scots Law Thoughts website, there are links to the actual takeover agreement and SDM will not return.

Agree0 Disagree0

So who do you believe

Don't know if this will be posted.........I wrote on here in august was shot down as a timothy, traitor etc etc etc. Everything has come home to roost that I said about Mr Whyte, he has now done his job which was to put us where we are today.
the saddest part is that Murray took the easy option and bailed out, If he is that confident we will still win the tax case why did he not have the bal*s to sell players to raise the £18million to pay off Lloyds, cut costs and get a coach to produce a hungry young team on the park to take us forward and keep the history of our great club in tact
DAVID MURRAY SOLD OUT TO A MAN WHOSE BUSINESS IS TO DO WHAT HE HAS DONE............
WHY?
ALL WILL BE REVEALED WITHIN 14 DAYS

Believable27 Unbelievable9

Tell us then instead of saying all will be revealed

Agree0 Disagree0

Murray was forced to sell by the bank an u dont leave a name so how do we know u said that

TB

Agree0 Disagree0

What is left to be revealed?

Ah yes - what happened to the ticketus money, the jelavic money etc. Particularly has there been any "introduction" or commission fee taken out of the 24m from ticketus.

Not to mention the 9m that hasn't been paid for paye or ni, despite it being deducted from payroll

that's what is next. please mr whyte, prove me wrong - from what I hear you won't.

Agree0 Disagree0

He cannot tell us as HMRC DROPPED THE PETITION AGAINST RANGERS TODAY = there will be no tax debt they got what they wanted a f***ed gers

Agree0 Disagree0

All will be revealed.......so you don't know then, just wait and see what news comes out in the next two weeks and then repost to the likes of told you all this would happen lol

the fans need to mobilise quickly
however what is needed is a figurehead
, in my view one that the fans trust and
can relate to. Although the finance
would not be available to him/them the
ability to attract investment and gain
fan support is needed ASAP. My view is
that Walter Smith, Graeme Souness and
John Greig sitting at the top table would
get the fans onside

Believable14 Unbelievable19

I was thinking exactly the same we need a true rangers fan legend who has ultimate rangers at heart like all us true fans to lead us out of this and help us all invest in the club in its hour of need and get real rangers people who live n breath for the club take us forward cause with our rangers there will be a huge hole in my life gavtheger

Agree0 Disagree0

Good top table.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fans on face book are wanting one of the supporter trusts to open up bank accounts with same sort of ideas .. but they want all fans to boycott all away games and put all cash into said accounts any one heard any other ideas watp jimmyd

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes i agree rangers fans world wide are the untapped income here i for one and many i have spoken to are willing to put money in i dont want anything back shares etc i want my club back but dont trust mr whyte or those with him walter smith would be a great choice to bridge between fans and the powers to be if administrators can sort the mess out we the fans world wide could fund the building of a new team

Agree0 Disagree0

Ideas like this are what will save us. the fans need some form of input. i dont go to away games normally but id give the price of a ticket every second week to a formal managed effort. especially if fronted by legends like greig, jardine, gough etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Boycott all away games?...fecksake mate, the fans are already disappearing in droves from home games. Revenue from home gates is running at a loss and it'll get worse. Rangers actually need away fans to come to Ibrox so this idea reeks of shoite.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to know how to invest in our club. Just listened to the Paul Murray interview and he needs a consortium and help, this is the fans chance to help the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

The post that started with "boycott all away games" you are the sort who will sit back keep your money in your pocket and moan why not put your energy into posting positive thoughts we as fans and remember there are millions of us wordwide put what we can afford that could range from one to any amount into a bank account overseen by a group of trusted men or women who will act in the interest of this great club but we the fans need guidance to do this we r laymen but whwt we have is greater than anything and that is our love of this great club we will not let it die come on stand together hand in pockets and help

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 20:12:26
Can't relieve that season tickets have been declared void. We will have to pay at gate to raise income. Administrators say ths s necessary. The same as when virgin music went bust and vouchers were not valid.

Believable19 Unbelievable18

Season tickets are valid business as usual on that front ur facts r wrong I'm afraid

Agree0 Disagree0

According to who?

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this true , if so it would be shocking for the season ticket holders to pay all over again when the leagues finished, throwing cash at whytes masterplan crazy absolute crazy

Agree0 Disagree0

They can stick paying at the gate....

Agree0 Disagree0

There ok m8
We're did the info come to say they weren't

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt if it will happen as you have paid for your seat and unless the crowd is Dundee U proportions it will be logistically impossible to take cash as the T/styles are not geared for as more and more staff will be needed how will they be paid?

Agree0 Disagree0

It was on sky sports last nite saying all season tckts r valid for this season and any paid for next season will be honoured. So the original post is wrong and a lie. U can phone the rangers tckt office and they will confirm what ive said. Im a season tckt holder this season and have renewed for nxt season..

Agree0 Disagree0

Season tickets are still valid, only if liquidation comes in would that change

Agree0 Disagree0

I hate people like you! They said yesterday season tickets are still valid!! Stop making crap up!!

Agree0 Disagree0

In the current financial climate me as a season ticket holder simply cannot afford to go out and pay for a ticket for the remaining fixtures, and a think as much as i and others want to get behind the team many will be in the same boat....

Beware of lies from the east.
they are being posted alot recently.

The HMRC actioned today because Mr Whyte has taken PAYE payments from all staff since he took over. he has failed to file this money to the Inland revenue. A disgrace for starters.

HMRC filed against £9 million unpaid since may.

Sir david murray believes the club has a good chance of winning the EBT case. Which in all fairness, maybe true.

Craig Whyte has taken your great club, bought it for a pound and he will walk away with £18 million.

He never in anyway shape or form paid for the Loydds debt, you the fans did.

This guy is the biggest crook on the planet who is never out of court for something dodgy.
I hope you can pull through, but the guy is a Class 1 Clown!

Believable19 Unbelievable13

Not only is CW a crook so is Sir David, Fred Goodwin lost his title for mismanagement of funds.

Watch this space

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm glad most people have finally come to their senses. Last summer i (and a minority of bears on here) said Whyte was a VULTURE and sadly, we appear to be right. The club with him at the helm was always going to go into Administartion and as a secured creditor he would get paid out first, even before HMRC. This guy watched as our beautiful club started to slide and on the pretext of helping us has only helped himself. I have been told from a reasonably reliable source that it is estimated Whyte will walk from our club (in tatters) with at least £6 million more than when he entered. This man is nothing but a crook who is taking something that is not his. This is the fan's club, and its our club he is going to ruin.

Agree0 Disagree0

How wrong you are ! Whyte is playing a blinder right now. When he "walks away with £18m" I will polish your nuts every day for a year.

Agree0 Disagree0

The evidence against Whyte is damning but I have this feeling we are going to come out of this debt free, with all main assets such as Ibrox and Murray Park intact and with new money to invest. Don't give a monkeys about any of the players being retained as they were all pish, other than Shagger and Naisy.

Agree0 Disagree0

The big question is - will the whyte appointed administrators reveal the detail of what exactly has happened to the ticketus/ jelavic money? do the sums... rangers shouldn't be out of cash (even at his £3.5 per month cash burn quote)

Where is the money Mr Whyte?

Was there any introduction fee paid to a third party for the ticketus deal? Who was this? How much was it?

Sounds like lunacy but its a shame the administrators weren't appointed by the Rangers Chairman. Could it have been better for the club if they were appointed by HMRC? I wonder...

Agree0 Disagree0

This Mr Whyte is looking more and more like a con man who has pulled the wool over S.D.M's eyes when the takeover was negotiated as he has yet to spend 1p of his own money and yet has got the club into more debt by borrowing from ticketus and then not paying PAYE on any of his staff members for nine months.
the question that we need to ask our selves is where has all this money gone to ? I wouldn't be suprised to find out from the tabloids in the next few days that HE has transfered the money in Question into some off-shore account.
The fact that the club has also gone into administration is an absolute disgrace and i wouldn't be suprised to find out that Mr Whyte found it a bit dangerous to start opening his post if a small number of fans found it nessesary to send questionable items through the post to an opposition manager for a small argument with Ally Mccoist.

Believable26 Unbelievable20

Pull you head out of the sand before you suffocate

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you mad! where does this no debt nonsense come from? you cant come out of admin until all debtors are paid.18 months, try 3-4 years

Agree0 Disagree0

Bang on the money mate. For you other "experts" what other Administrated club is still paying 4 years afterwards ? What would the point of administration then ? Back to law school mate, you've failed.

Agree0 Disagree0

What planet are you on? 9m debt in tax in 9 months not including other creditors , some fans need to realise whats happened to rangers. Think about leeds utd for an example still paying creditors and in another division!

Agree0 Disagree0

PAYE 9 mill, wee and big tax case unless HMRC enter into CVA, which is doubtful as this will set a precedent for other companies i.e. don't pay your tax and you will get off with a massive amount RFC is down the tubes. Have you suffocated yet

Agree0 Disagree0

We have 30 days to agree with the creditors or else it's liquidation.

Whyte now starts to asset strip by paying bottom dollar for all of our assets as his "preferred" creditors will claim that it was required. This man is bad for our club, and I must admit I was one who was willing to give him time and I am now feeling pretty foolish for backing this man. If we come out the other side then I will apologise but right now it looks a long way off.

Ps The debts are nowhere near £49 million and could be well over £100m( both tax cases, ticketus,PAYE debt & whatever else we don't know!) by the time HMRC are finished with us. How can you buy a club with a tax case hanging over it and then decide to not pay your tax when you take over? Am I missing something here?

The man is a crook,we need rid ASAP!

The Pilot!

What I can't get my head round is why Ticketus would loan £24m to us with the outstanding tax case hanging over us. Seems bizarre.

Also where's the £24m now ? Is this what Whyte has up his sleeve to negotiate with against HMRC ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte has played all his cards he has nothing up his sleaves as the money side of the club is now being run by the administrators not Whyte.

Ian

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellow bears I believe post number 1 that shyte is the patsy and Gers will come out of the mire, although our heads should be bowed

This has been orchestrated from day 1, as who could possibly have the neck to walk through the front door on day 1 with the friggin administrator

Agree0 Disagree0

Post no 1 here thanks to last post, absolutely convinced I am right! It is a shameful exercise but better than being wiped out by hmrc!

You couldn't make this up cousin has not signed a contract.

Believable9 Unbelievable4

He has by fax

Agree0 Disagree0

Take that back sorry mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Where u heard this....believe it's b****cks,not on website r radio

Agree0 Disagree0

On bbc sport website cousin deal will NOT now go through

Agree0 Disagree0

Its true was on radio clyde tonight , why pay a player 7,500 pound when the club has to pay of workers lncludeing players, leagues gone so no need for anymore players, RANGERS FOOTBALL CLUBS EXISTANCE IS THE PRIORITY NOW.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 17:36:01
Ed? What happens now... Is everything sold till we pay of the debt? Because i think we would have to sell ibrox and murray park to pay the bill craig white quoted, 75 million i believe, we are gonna get bottom dollar for players now, and white has no money, so wont we seize to excist as rfc if all moneys to hmrc cant be paid? {Ed001's Note - as much as possible will be raised by the sale of assets, as many assets as the company can do without. Costs will be cut as low as possible, in order to make the company a profitable entity, which can then continue to pay back creditors over a period of time.}

Believable8 Unbelievable3

14 Feb 2012 19:09:12
daniel cousin deal didn't go through and he will leave rangers immediately.

Believable9 Unbelievable10

So its not all bad news then.

Agree0 Disagree0

If I was NL id sign cousin for a wind up. Ha.

the only way HRMC is going to get their money is to force the club into liquidation and sell the assets, why should creditors accept pennies in the pound when the assets can be liquidated.
time for the supporters to boycot the club and show their displeasure at this crook Whyte who will walk away with a few million in his pocket

Believable15 Unbelievable13

Cos thats how creditors get dealt with in times of admin.
oh you would love that wouldnt you. but that wont happen cos rfc isnt mr whyte or sir david murray or this board or the previous.
its the history the tradition and most of all the people. follow follow.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whit ya talking bout??? whyte is a secured creditor = his company get sorted out first ... he takes ibrox murry park and the staff ... opens new company = rangers 2 and makes lots of money ... smell a rat ? me 2 .. check out what leeds done a while back .. almost the same

Agree0 Disagree0

We need to stand up to whyte the man is a joke he aint got a penny

Agree0 Disagree0

What "assets" are we talking about, ibrox is a listed building, you can't build on murray park and people know we need to sell so player values are maybe £15mill for the whole team. Rangers is worth more as an entity that it is worth in bits and the administrators know that. Rangers biggest asset is the fan base, which can't be sold.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on mate. The property assets only have any significant value if the club continues as a going concern. For that reason and the massive loyal fan base that brings revenue to this club and every other club in the SPL, I'm sure we'll survive this crisis.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers biggest asset is the fan base, which can't be sold.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sorry but the fan base has been sold to Ticketus. Also if Whyte is due £18million that would be less than the stadium, murray park and players. He may go for the stadium as this is the main thing he can make money on.

Ian

Ian

Agree0 Disagree0

2 and 3 above the last entry, correctamundo as why would anyone destroy the intangible asset that is the fan base and accept zilch by liquidating the club and all it owns

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 18:48:59
whyte has not paid paye since last may 9m missing

Believable19 Unbelievable1

This is not the result of the tax case it is a clear and questionable decision not to pay tax and NI which has been taken from employees salaries. In a time when hospitals are closing home helps are being withdrawn and teachers made redundant is it not shameful for the club to behave in this way

Agree0 Disagree0

Considering the outstanding tax bill to be paid and the inevitable consequences.
It is plain to see that Mr Whyte has not chosen to pay the further 9m as it was always his intention to take the club into admin.
Dont be drawn in by all the paper talk he is Murray`s man & is there to do this job then he is off.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't be Murray's man look at Scots Law Thoughts site and the takeover agreement links are posted. Look at Whyte's track record, asset stripping

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 18:20:44
paul murry has asked the administrators what it will take to get the club but says he cant do it himself

Believable20 Unbelievable11

I cant belive some of you guys. Am a Celtic fan but you lot burried your heads in the sand about the trouble you are in. The old board put you in this mess so why would you want any of that lot with the exception of John Greg anywhere near the club. Btw i also think whyte knows what he is doing and has a few tricks up his sleev. Next year you will be debt free with money to spend.

Agree0 Disagree0

At least a hundred million, he`s dreaming!

Agree0 Disagree0

Old board put us in this mess nort _Craig Whyte

Agree0 Disagree0

No...Paul Murray is meant to be a business man? How can he turn up tomorrow and ask how much for the club? The club dont even know until the findings of the tax casd are decided and what rangers potential liabilities are...one clown to another!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe debt free but no players once administration is finished don't know what to make of whyte

Agree0 Disagree0

U think ? i dont ,he has been involved with 22 companies and theyve all gone to the wall ,hes an assit stripper that how he makes his money ,he hasnt done what he said he would do hes put us in a worse position ,least fergus mcann did what he said he was going to do ,helps you lot, sell up and make a profit . whyte is driving the final nails in and going to make a lot of money out of it

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't talk garbage, it is the duty of the administrator to get the best possible deal for the creditors, that means if Paul Murray bids more to buy than whyte then he can and hmrc will still get pence in the pound

Agree0 Disagree0

Brilliant! a new murray rides to the rescue! HMRC will not agree to a pence in the pound deal.stop grasping at anybody with a couple of quid

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 18:13:38
Former director Paul Murray is going to contact administrators to find out what is needed to buy club but he says he can't do it alone and will need the help of a consortium ,as reported by bbc radio Scotland

Believable20 Unbelievable11

Lubo25

They had paul murray on the radio talking that's why we believe it although he aint willing to do anything as long as whytes there

mark guidi on clyde 1 tonight saying craig whyte will UNDOUBTEDLY put rangers into liquidation and the debt is rising

Believable23 Unbelievable7

Said it before and I will say it again Whyte is a crook who has no interest in whats best for Rangers the move today was all about him making sure he gets paid out .Really cant believe you guys have not got a lynch mob out looking for him

Agree0 Disagree0

With the FTT liability outstanding and HMRC basically waiting on the club coming out of admin to put them back in only liquidation can bring this to an end

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh come on! That's not actually what he said. He said, and read this carefully: "at the moment" that's the only outcome HE can see.

Agree0 Disagree0

I beleive this was his plan in the first place

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right but he later goes on to see rangers will go into liquidation(i personally can't see it)

Agree0 Disagree0

Och , dont listen to him hes a doom merchant, never has anything good to say about rangers,

Agree0 Disagree0

From what I gather (and I hope I’m right) – If Whyte transfers all his assets (players, Ibrox, Murray Park etc.) to this phoenix company and then liquidates the company he has which owns Rangers, then assumes control of Rangers again with the phoenix company - Not only will we be debt-free (HMRC can’t deduct tax from a company that doesn’t exist anymore), but we’ll have the Ticketus money, £9m PAYE money and the rest to inject into the club again. Fans wouldn’t really notice a difference on the pitch. I believe a similar thing happened with Leeds United in 2007? It doesn’t matter what the company is called either, if it acquires Rangers FC – it will still be Rangers FC unless the naming rights are sold (which they won’t be). It may not be pretty, but apparently it’s legal.

As I said, I hope this is the plan and has been since day 1. If so, a lot of people are going to feel like numpties.

Agree0 Disagree0

Putting all the monies into a phoenix company and then liquidating rangers etc. is fraud ....no way will whyte get away with this

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 18:06:20
Did whyte not deny the rumour about vat it was reported at 5 million so it is 9 million plus the ticketus money jelly fish money so where has it gone

Believable6 Unbelievable1

I agree this isn't even the big tax case for 50 -75 Million...what is going on why are we going into admin for aout 9 mil he hasn't paid....

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 17:54:42
We should have listened to alister johnston now the real truth is coming out Whyte you a 1 b.....d

Believable16 Unbelievable6

Mr johnston seems to be the only one that told the truth and really cared about rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't care enough to put his money where his mouth was until the last minute. Was this just show as he knew whyte deal was near completion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alistair johnston was head of a board which done little to help our situation along wi Mr Suntan Martin Bain, who incidentally tried to sue his beloved RFC but ended up walking away with 1/2m quid in his hip.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was Mr Johnston not put on the board after SDM had racked up the debt. If that is the case then whilst its true he oversaw a poor(ish) financial period was he not responsible for reducing the overall debt? (Ed - any thoughts on this?) Also the EBT scheme was already in place when he joined the board. It does look like Mr Whyte is asset stripping our club. GET HIM TO F*CK

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember johnston was chairman who took on a Rangers supporter from the bank, and helped to reduce overall escalating debt, he is ok in my books and will be instrumental in recruiting the future board

the game will go ahead at weekend strathclyde police confirms it on sky sports.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Administrator says their still in talks about the game, clyde sport.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 17:30:47
some xpert on sky sports basically saying whyte has shafted us ,also not sure if i caught him right but now that we have gone into administration there are some serious parties looking at us now cause we will be debt freeish so the word is in the city

Believable15 Unbelievable10

I saw that interview to sounded good but lets see if it really does happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Well i hope so, i was all up for giving CW a chance, but after finding out he hasnt paid 9m n tax!! What has he done sfa. HE NEEDS TO CRAWL BACK IN THE HOLE HE CAME FROM!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hmrc will not walk away they will get their money some how m8

Agree0 Disagree0

Unless we can agree a CVA then we are f***ed, if our creditors vote NO to agreeing a CVA then we will go into liquidation, that is the next step, it can only go TWO ways
1: We agree a CVA with creditors and continue to play
2: Creditors vote NO and we get forced into liquidation

RTID

Agree0 Disagree0

Until rangers 1873 are liquidated they remain liable for the outcome of FTT. The club is only in administration and this is not related to the big tax case so there is no scope for any buyers to come in unless they accept the potential £75 million liability. Highly unlikely dont you think

Agree0 Disagree0

Unless they over a better deal than whyte ?

Agree0 Disagree0

True RTID and with the biggest creditor being the shyte knight, then he is cut loose with what he agreed to start with last March (he is a patsy remember) and the other creditors will get a percentage, and it will work out as the cheaper option.

Why when the revenue generated by a business as big as Rangers, would it be in anyones interest to close the stream down and get nowt. This club is guilty if anything, of not maximising its marketing and so there is a huge benefit in keeping it alive, albeit after shafting the innocent HMRC

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 17:42:40
I don't understand why Her majesty's revenue are petitioning to have us put into administration before they have handed down a ruling finding us guilty . They must have decided long before now that they were going to kill us off. But decided to drag it out for what reason. This stinks.

Believable6 Unbelievable9

The administration is nothing to do with the big tax case. Apparently Whyte has been withholding PAYE, NIC and VAT since last May. HMRC had their hand forced by yesterday's announcement

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not the goverment its whyte thats shafting everyone

Agree0 Disagree0

If you paid your bills it wouldnt happen

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 17:10:04
Administrator confirms that since Whyte took over no PAYE, NI and VAT have been paid, amounting to £9m.

Believable13 Unbelievable3

Ed, do u think answers will now come out regarding where the loans money, season ticket money and jela money has gone now that we're in the administrators hands {Ed001's Note - it should do.}

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 16:45:53
Ed can rangers be bought by someone now that they have went into administration ? {Ed001's Note - yes.}

Believable6 Unbelievable5

And who ever buys it will have to cough up £75m if you lose the tax case

which by HMRC actions today it looks like they have won and Mr Whyte knows that to

Lubo25

Agree0 Disagree0

Clyde says paul murray enquireing to administrator how much to buy the club, maybe he has a consortium together, heres hopeing.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 16:55:32
It may just be coincidence, but do people realise that one of the "advisors" used by Whyte at the time of the takeover is David Grier. He was later appointed as a director I believe, he just happens to be a partner in Duff and Phelps, the company looking after our administration. Some coincidence though! Another "director" Gary Withey, is a solicitor who had experience in the buyout and collapse of Crystal Palace in 1998. Makes you wonder.

Believable15 Unbelievable5

Since day one this has been Whyte's goal. Bar steward

Agree0 Disagree0

I think whyte knows exactly what he is doing ...9 million more in debt since he took over ?? why has he not being paying VAT or PAYE ?? cause he knows exactly what hes up to hes ripping our country off for multi millions hes taking 75 + million out of the public purse ... i hope it all goes wrong for him and he ends up in prison the man is nothing short of a thief .... SCOTLANDS REAL SHAME

Agree0 Disagree0

Did whyte not say that he had a plan inplace for every eventuality?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte will take us through this and we will be in a better state than what we where when he came. nobody else was going to step up and do it and are you forgetting the bank would have done this last may if it wasnt for whyte. this way its rangers chosen administrators not ones appointed to us by the banks of whoever. i trust whyte and back him i dont think hes going to leave us in trouble./biggles

Our darkest hour is here fellow bears, now is the time to stand up and be counted, get to ibrox on Saturday to support ally and the team,I would rather go into administration than have no team to follow,or start up as a new club with the name of rangers attached to it if rangers were to die as a club my support dies with it.

Believable16 Unbelievable18

Cant afford the police bill, no game to go to

Agree0 Disagree0

From the Rangers website

"I can assure all Rangers supporters that all aspects of the administration will be carried out with the interests of the Club firmly in mind. As a first step, the administration team will ensure that Saturday's match at Ibrox will proceed as planned and all other routine Club business will continue."

Agree0 Disagree0

All true Gers supporters need to stick together to help our beloved Gers through this by showing support like no other team can match. Lets show the whole footballing world that we are Simply The Best!!

WATP.

Agree0 Disagree0

Our darkest day will be, if we loose the tax case.

Agree0 Disagree0

No matter what happens the game must go on, even if played behind closed doors. The players would still here us from outside..Nivbear.

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll be Ibrox on Saturday even if the games not on. Everyone must turn up as a show of strength !

Agree0 Disagree0

No matter what happens the game must go on, even if played behind closed doors. The players would still here us from outside..Nivbear.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
so is that where uz all were at the Dundde utd game lol, your support has already been shown to be poor, I dont see it getting any better, soz

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think our darkest hour is here yet. Also if Rangers come back as Rangers of Glasgow or whatever, my support WILL be there. Even if it means starting in division 3.

14 Feb 2012 16:29:18
All Rangers fans attending Saturday's game against Kilmarnock, if possible please be in your seats an hour before kick off to show your support and loyalty in the face of adversity. Bring Flags, scarves and banners, make Ibrox rock and send out a message to those wanting to see out demise! We are the people !

Believable22 Unbelievable18

Lets create a big atmosphere the worlds eyes will be on us !!

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a great idea mate I will be there , follow follow

Agree0 Disagree0

This is exactly what we need to do stand as one in this dark hour and unite behind our club and team we cannot change the past we must look to the future and come out the other side a united force

Agree0 Disagree0

Well lets not start the old "party songs" eh

Agree0 Disagree0

I for one wont be there!!! I'm a police officer!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes we will be their give the team the biggest roar they have ever had watp in ally we trust ... Kenny

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope this message gets round the bears....its important the place is not only bouncing but bursting at the seams.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you all mad. Boycott the place , get White out of the door as quick as you can. Then somebody new can move in and restore the club to former glories. Why have you all waited till its too late to show your support. Celtic fans raised awareness of the incompatence of the old board for over a year before the played a major part in removing them and moving forward. Smell the coffee.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why not take your chequebooks along?50,000 fans, £100 each amounts to £5,000,000. £200 each pays the £10m shortfall. How much do the bears value their team?

Agree0 Disagree0

Give the team the support but give the board hell at front door after the game

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats a great idea. Would love it if that happened. We must support the team and the club. Rangers are not Whyte, and Whyte will never be Rangers. He's a con man. We're better than that and must show that B*****D.

Agree0 Disagree0

We showed our support going to manchester lets unite in our hour of need on sat and fill the stadium and streets around ibrox watp

Agree0 Disagree0

I will be er Gers till I die WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

To above post, we all remember what support you took to manchester lets hope you dont do that again lol

Agree0 Disagree0

The players, the football club & ally mccoist need us now more than they ever did. so lets show what real fans are all about and give the team the backing they need & deserve.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah manchester did get a bit messy but they sure knew we were there, thats what we need on saturday and every other week for that matter

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2012 13:28:49
If HRMC trying to put rangers into liquidation (which is being reported)? Does that mean ALL assets must be sold off to recoup whatever money they can? Everyone knows that players will be sold off, but no-one has mentioned the sale of ibrox, or at least the lang it's built on, i''m sure one of the big supermarkets would pay, though might get it at a snip as rfc are desperate for the money. Any info on this Ed, as it would mean the newly formed "glagow rangers fc" would have no stadium. {Ed001's Note - liquidation would mean the sale of everything and Rangers vanishing from existence in its present form.}

Believable18 Unbelievable4

Cant see Ibrox being sold off,its a listed building, have you ever tried to modernise a listed house,no chance, anyway,a long way to go legally before a thing gets sold.Always be a Rangers regardless

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is our first minister ? What's he doing for Scotland's greatest institution ? Sweet FA, as far as I can see. Heaven help Scotland if he gets his way !!

Agree0 Disagree0

The first minister what can he do, it's her majesty's revenue ,the government in westminster you know the union bit we all shout about know what if I hear god save the queen or rule brittania again I think I will be sick WTF can salmond do about our tax avoidance.

Agree0 Disagree0

No supermarket will touch the land as asda is on 2 minutes away.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did leeds not go into liquidation, come back as leeds 2007 and keep there stadium how did they do it

Agree0 Disagree0

Push! It's a listed building dafty!

Agree0 Disagree0

It can be sold and knocked down, only the front face could be saved and even then you can still apply for permition for demolition!! Long shot tho.......Celtic fan comes in peace, no chance of liquidation guys, Craig Whyte has known from the start the direction he was taking the club!
Theres a plan in there somewhere? Although embarrassing just now, I think r@ngers will come out of this smelling of roses!!! Good luck
Big bad john

Agree0 Disagree0

You'd think Salmond would have something to say on an event so massive to Scottish society, surely ! Loss of jobs, effect on local economy, effect on Scottish football, etc. but no, wee Eck has nothing to say. Unbelievable ! Any one who thinks he's capable of running this country - take heed !!

If we've got a game at the weekend (let's be honest nobody actually knows if it will go ahead yet) we need to turn up in our thousands with no negativity as hard as it might be. We need to show serious support for our club and players regardless of what we might think of our board. This is our time to step up as fans and show the watching world what we are all about. We are known all over the world as being loyal supporters so lets stick with that and help get our club through this horrible time.

Totally agree this is about showing how we are true blue and not all about trophies

I know it's not of upmost importance, but where does this leave Big Cousin?

Dark, dark days my friends!!

Believable6 Unbelievable4

He got international clearance this morning and signed which could make him the first player to sign for a club on the same day as the club went in to administration

Agree0 Disagree0

It's up to phelps an co now... 1st all dead wood gone... bye bye smudger smith...then they'll move through our fringe players an so on down the club to the cleaner..some big earners are bound to go aswell so first of I'd say whittakers 20-25k a week will be first to go.. Wonder if we will be out of admin by march31 st because Scotland need some one to get co-effeciance points... the mhanky mob don't manage it. PaulRFC

Agree0 Disagree0

I find it hard to believe he will have signed. His agent has surely advised him against it. There is now no guarantee that he will be paid. Also, administration was known about before it happened and I'm pretty sure that the soon to be administrator would not sanction the spend. It remains to be seen what the truth is.

Agree0 Disagree0

1 win in 26 games that certainly gained us some points. Remember trying to buy the big cup put you in this position

Agree0 Disagree0

The previous embarrassing sequence of statements surrounding the payment of 5k a week wages for Cousins will start to pale into significance when the salaries of the current first team don't make it to their accounts on time. This looks odds on to happen in the next couple of months. Dark clouds looming on every horizon.

The first players to be relised will be loan players and any new players not tied up for next season so Bartley Cousin and Aluko will be relised immedietly followed by any players that are deemed dispensible to enable bare minimum of squad to remain. The players with resale value McGregor Naismith ect will be retained till summer when some money would be involved. With all clubs aware of the finacial situation these players are unlikely to go for full estimated value.

Believable10 Unbelievable7

Why?, what might happen?, because I would rather this than liquadation.Atleast if this way works, then the club will survive! WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

I would suggest that Mr Whyte is try to get rid of the assets so that no one else can buy them up. then when Rangers go bust there is nothing to take.

Rangers resurected and assets are rented or sold back.

Any investment by anyone right now will disappear into a dark hole

Agree0 Disagree0

Indeed a sad day gus but keep the faith mate, if it means survival then lets take the hit, and for it to be the goverment to do this to us makes a mockery of their bail out of the fat cat bankers.......the worlds gone mad financially but remember one thing, WE ARE THE PEOPLE so we will be back stronger and leaner as our CW admin mastermind has said........the league title this year when they win it will be tarnished............fact!!

Why will league title be tarnished, Celtic were top and going to win it anyway. Are the 9 in a row titles tarnished due to Celtic being in a bad way, I think not. AWAY AND GROW UP. We welcome the chase!!

Agree0 Disagree0

If this win is tarnished so are the ones you won when CHEATING not paying tax idiot... col

Agree0 Disagree0

How does not paying tax affect the performance of our football players? Tax never won us the league, football did you idiot!

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye well lets see if it can win you the league now, if celtic win by more than 10 points no excuses although I'm sure u'll probs find one or too, we welcome the chase lol (funny as f**k saying that considering u lot a month ago lolol)

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think its sunk in with you guys yet its over- its all going to go through due process now and you,ll just have to wait till it all reamerges out of the other end but to be honest after reading all the dirt on here I think half of you will defect to celtic and the other half will go to the pubs which will get busy again and hopefully the end of an era leading to a better scotland which we should all be part of"nothing lasts forever" gentlemen and ladies so lets get on with it.stop bubbling and feeling sorry for yourselves,

Rangers in administration.

It would have been better if the Court had appointed an independent administrator as at least everything would have been above board, albeit brutal.

The person Whyte has appointed as administrator was with Whyte on the day he took over at Ibox, so clearly in Whyte's plans from day one. God knows what the two scheming rats will be upto to bleed Rangers dry. A sad, sad, day.

Believable18 Unbelievable10

Fiasco. David Murray has much to answer for...I fear you are very right...it's all been a plot from day 1

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree its funny when hmrc were gonna put us into admin, whyte jumps and does it... would rather independant aswell , brokenhearted craig+babybear

Agree0 Disagree0

What you're all failing to realise is this: If Craig Whyte doesn't put us into admin before HMRC do, he loses his position as secured creditor. As far as I can make out, HMRC are now an unsecured creditor. An 'independent' administration, as you claim to favour, ensures that HMRC are right at the top of secured creditors and a tax liability of (let's just say worst case) £75million will almost certainly ensure liquidation: If they don't get their money THEY fold the club. At least this way Whyte has a bargaining tool - accept a deal or HE'LL fold the club and HMRC get nothing... I know which one seems more sensible to me.

With all this money missing since Mr Tight took over, is he going to use some of his other companies to buy back assets from adminustrators using the money and sell the whole lot on for a tidy profit? Yes David Murray was wrong in what he did but this man Whyte is a crook. Hope Ibrox is packed on Saturday and we let him know what we think, if he shows his face.

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Maybe u should join the celtic fans we dont need a fan like u whyte trying to save us when no 1 eles cared he may have made been unfulfilled promise dose every one do every last thing they say the only way rangers could go was down this road and maybe ppl need to take it easy on whyte its not his fault hes trying to save us

October 25th 2011, 2 companies registered at companies house. One called glasgow rangers limited, other called glasgow rangers football club limited. Both registered addresses in high wycombe. Question one. Who did this? Question 2, why? And does this add weight to thd 'new' rangers post administratoon, playing in the english league

Believable7 Unbelievable17

Was a celtic fan...he gave newspaper interviews at the end of last year and basically said he done it for a laugh so if rangers had to go bust and re-register he took the most sensible names available and said he wouldnt sell them unless it was for stupid money.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers or any newco will not be entering any English league.

Having an address registered in England is irelevant. Any Scottish business can change their registered address to an English one at any time.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was atim so we could not use the name

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a question for ed to answer. {Ed001's Note - I believe they were registered by people independent of Rangers, thought to be a Celtic fan, in order to keep the name for their own use. It can only be conjectured the reasoning behind it, but it is thought to be to stop Rangers being able to use those names.}

Agree0 Disagree0

MR GERARD MORAN is the only director for both newco

Agree0 Disagree0

It's very simple Whyte can just not put Glasgow in the name the moron that did it clearly didn't consider that.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

I know who registered them he is a ceptic fan so a new rangers cant use them !

Agree0 Disagree0

Well ma theory is this, whytes upmost goal was always goin to be administration so when we coke back stronger he has no worries of owing money out therefore, splashin the cash will arrise, and with these companies down south being made is NOT for rangers to be formed in england bt infact. these companies are debt free, which then, ibrox, players and all the other important assets won't be harmed, obv we will sell a couple of big names and its true what miller said we have been doin that for years so it shouldn't really be a surprise, listen bears less moanin and more supporting ok! loyal bear.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think it would be a bad thing, we get I think less than 2 million Tv money + prize money, in the EPL they get 30 Mil just for being relegated. The next step up I think is to go into the english league and they arent going to vote us in so this way we can do it properly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes it is the intention to re form rangers and apply to the English lower leagues, the league in question and FIFA have to agree( the league are in favour as the revenue would be substantial,FIFA would be more difficult but there are many cases of teams playing in cross border leagues round the globe) a more difficult hurdle will be convincing the support that this is the best way forward for rangers but the media will help when the time is right. This is a high risk business strategy undertaken by messars whyte and Murray but in big business big risks are taken all the time. With a product that can generate 250,000 customers ie Manchester 2008 rangers in the right league would be the biggest team in the world a risk worth taking.

If Rangers go into administration then the players on big wages will be released from their contracts. Rangers will not hold on to a player earning £20k a week in the hope they get £2m in the summer. McGregor, Davis, Whittaker, Lafferty will all be released and will be free agents who can sign for any other club.

Young players who are out on loan will need to be recalled so that we have a minimum squad to play our games.

We will also stay in the SPL as we will only receive the 10 point penalty under SPL rules but if we go into liquidation then we will be demoted to the 3rd division if we survive.

Tough times ahead but if the clubs survives then it will be worth it.

The Pilot!

WG

Agree0 Disagree0

All contracts will still be valid if administrator says they can be paid.

only player off straight away will be bartley as hes on loan they are always first out the door,.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wrong about big name players, they will be seen as main assets and therefore not let go for free. It will be fringe/mid level earners that will be freed in the very short term.
Insolvency will happen. 100% THE END

Agree0 Disagree0

You could also include the older players in that list too, Bocanegra, Goian, Alexander McCulloch, Papac........ Then the likes of MacKay, Bedoya and Aluko all moving on too. The best we could hope for would be any Hearts players that they release and we can afford and YOUTHS............... Depressed doesn't even begin to describe what this means to me. The big thing for the deluded masses who are swarming on here gloating, is that you lot will downsize too, and don't kid yourself that that won't happen. LIEWELL ain't going to pay top dollar to beat Rangers youths, you are about to halve your garbage squad of 40 players as a result of this, your top earners will be sold off to any English clubs daft enough to want any of them. Don't kid yourselves on this won't happen Timothy, it WILL !! Administration may save us, and bring you lot down a few pegs................. AGerForLife

Agree0 Disagree0

A ger for life that wont be long then stop going on about celtic think back to 94 you never gloated hoped for us to fall come on now its your turn to suffer for a few years suck it up what goes around comes around , at least you wont go out of buisness, may be good thing this admin , but as a celtic fsn whyte not man to do it for yous

Agree0 Disagree0

It's more likely the administrator will ring fence our main assets like players to sell in the transfer window. remember there job is to get as much money for the creditors as possible

Agree0 Disagree0

If the taxman got his way this morning and the court appointed administrators then it would have been brutal but we did it off our own backs therefore might not be so brutal watp

Agree0 Disagree0

@Agerforlife (aka a ger for a few more weeks)

Don't worry about Celtic, they'll still be there when a new entity emerges in division 3. No one cares what happens to Rangers, only Rangers fans.
Life will go on and the league will go on (but not for Rangers) LMFAO!!

Agree0 Disagree0

@ the two nameless wooden tops, no I never gloated about you lot back in'94, the difference between me and you is that I don't and never have given a flying for your team........ I saying as it is, this will impact on the WHOLE of Scottish football, so enjoy your gloating because it will come back to haunt you. AGerForLife

Agree0 Disagree0

Erm, you understand what the term liquidation means right? We wouldn't be 'demoted' to the third division. We'd cease to exist at all. A NEW club could start up but they'd have to join at the very bottom. There'd be no demotion.

Agree0 Disagree0

You can't do that, all football assets are retained untill they can be sold. Contracts are football assets its the staff that go first, and the suppliers including police get in line

Believable8 Unbelievable4

HMRC's administrator might be more likely to get rid of Whyte - no bad thing

Agree0 Disagree0

"COME ON THE GERS"...buffoon. Rangers fans really ought to assess what is going on here and consider how far they are going to follow a club that is on a path to ruin, and have been lied to consistently over the past few years about the situation.

HMRC and Rangers are both currently at the Court of Session in Edinburgh.

Rangers are trying to appoint an administrator today, and that HMRC are trying to block this and HMRC want a judge to appoint an independent administrator.

HMRC have asked Rangers to give an assurance that they will not appoint an administrator until the judge decides, but Rangers have said that they will not give this assurance and furthermore, intend to appoint an administrator as soon as possible today.

Outside if the Big Tax case it is emerging that Rangers have not paid PAYE, NI and VAT to HMRC since Craig Whyte took over, amounting to several million pounds.

One way or another, Rangers will be in administration before the end of today and are making one hell of an enemy in HMRC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig whyte paid david murray £1 and his company octapus paid the bank £18 million for the debt he then borrowed £24.4 million from ticketus witch would go into rangers account who the settled there debt with octapus witch would have left rangers with £6.4 million for the day to day running of the club so once we are out of addministration whyte will invest the £18 million in to rangers playing staff at least that is what i think.

UPDATE - Rangers and HMRC are locked in a battle this afternoon in the courst of session - It has come out, during the recess, that Rangers will enter administration today if they can appoint there own administrators and not allow HMRC to appoint there preferred administrators.

The next question is, will this lead to certain liquidation of the club?

Believable10 Unbelievable1

Just seen on stv news Whyte has not been paying owed taxes since he took over in May.What the F*** are you playing at Whyte.

Agree0 Disagree0

Administration is sought to prevent Liquidation. If HMRC wanted us Liquidated they would have applied for that and not administration.

Agree0 Disagree0

Obviously if Whyte gets his way and can appoint an administrator of his choosing you'd have to imagine they'd be more sympathetic to Whyte's cause. On the other hand HMRC are looking to get max cashback by appointing their choice of admin. What a sorry mess

Agree0 Disagree0

Administrator has to act in the interest of creditors. If doesn't expect to see them back in court. This could run and run.

He wil stay but the fee will not need to be paid just the same as the debts to all other creditors very few will get anything at all

Agree0 Disagree0

He won't be the only one to leave mate, he would be the least of our worries, McGregor, Papac, Wallace, Goian, Bocanegra, Whittaker, Aluko, Davis, Edu, McCulloch, basically all those who earn a decent wage would be asked to take a huge pay cut or their contract would be terminated with a compensation package put together!

can players be sold out with transfer window if the selling club is in administration?

WG {Ed001's Note - deals can be agreed and fees paid outside of the window for a transfer to take place as soon as the buying club's transfer window opens.}

Believable4 Unbelievable1

The only way this can happen is like in the instance of Cousin...if Rangers tear up contracts, or players walk away, they can sign for another club as a free agent (this will likely happen to quite a few players)

Whittiker - 2 million
Broadfoot - 500k

Papac
Cousin
Bartley/or ross perry

If players are sold they will be sold at lower price to get them off wage bill and it will be up to the administrator not the club to accept any offer so will be lucky to £8m maybe £10m but never £20m for the players you stated
WG

Agree0 Disagree0

Bartley papac cousin an maybe aluko are all away at the end of the season....

Agree0 Disagree0

What are your values in? It must be the Vietnamese Dong, and even in that you have valued them too high.

Players cant be sold until summer,

by that time your new team wont be there

as bartlley will be back at arsenal,
papac might not resign
cousin contarct will be finished and might not resign
and aluko might not sign the extra 2 year option either,

so that would be 1 players away, the last four for nothing,

HMRC to ask court to put Rangers into administrationHM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is set to ask the Court of Session to put Rangers Football Club into administration.

The legal move counters the club's bid on Monday to file for protection against its creditors.

The papers served on behalf of Rangers directors would give the club 10 days to resolve its differences with HMRC.

However, the response from HMRC suggests it is seeking to take charge of events. The court hearing is set to take place on Tuesday morning.
Apparently CW owns the property side of things at RFC while the running side is at a loss.

Makes no difference because tht administrator has to work just as hard its niot like hmrc can tell him to do nothing as rangers could do to court and get him removed he has to help rangers in every way also b

Agree0 Disagree0

Yous dont get it administrator dosent / wont work for hmrc's benefit .They have to by law work for benefit of company in admin. So timmy calm down and get of your high horse , we have decided to give you title this season as even as we have been skint for years we were running away from you. Also celtic are 7 million in debt, their fans hoping for Gers to go under, so if that did happen sky will pull out of scotland and espn, as well as 3 qualifying rounds for champions league and we all know eltics record in europe!, haa celtic fans should watch what they hope for! see you in admin in a few years, liewell kidding no one .

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah we are in debt but not to tax man and we actually made a profit. Celtics record in Europe is 1 European Cup. Your club is on verge of death and you say you are just giving league to us this year, try next 5 minimum.

Oh I can feel your pain in every syllable mate. And no HMRC do not work for the benefit of the company, they work for the benefit of the taxpayer. As HMRC are owed more than 25% of the debt they can pretty much call the shots on what happens. And Rangers don't have assets amounting to £75m, Murray Park has a clause with the local council that the land cannot be sold and used to build houses so loses any value there and Ibrox has serious restrictions on what can be done with it due to it's listed status. Liquidation looks like the only avenue open

He didn't say HMRC work for the benefit of the company, he said the administrators do. Illiterate numptie.

I think theres more to the London office being opened last month than meets the eye..................
Start again like MK Dons ? With a long term goal of reaching the EPL ? If they have a registered office in London does anyone know the rules regarding can they still play at ibrox if we enter the English pyramid ?

Believable7 Unbelievable15

They could enter the EPL if registered in England, as techically there business will be english.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, Chester city fc were a welsh team who have offices in England but played in Wales, the went into liquidation in 2010 and now play in the northern conference in England. If we do go into liquidation what would be the point going to division 3, we may aswell take the hit and join English lower league. Probably go in at the northern conference. That's like the 6th tier. Even playing championship football is more money than Scotland. Ed, I posted a message about this yesterday but it's not appeared.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wimbledon didn't go into admin or liquidation they moved grounds and went to Milton Keynes, fans didn't like this so they basically had to start a fresh club so I believe. Fans then started phoenix club AFC Wimbledon, it's owned by the fans and in it's few years of existence they have done well.

Agree0 Disagree0

Grow up, it'snot going to happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry decent Rangers supporters but after the yobs roited in Manchester there is no way the English would touch you with a barge pole.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why open an office in London ? Its only half hour to Glasgow on a plane, I think there is something in this, there is no future in the spl and whyte knows there will never be another oppurtunity to do this.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah all you need to do is get promoted from about 6 leagues before sniffing epl, easy enough eh.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Rangers Newco were to do this it would take at least a decade for them to get through the leagues and reach the EPL which might very well be in vain given the bigger clubs in Eurpoe are pushing for an expnasion of the Champions League which a decade down the line could actually be a European League. In other words it's not gona happen

Believable14 Unbelievable2

Please people, its not as if there is 5p in Celtic's old biscuit tin, there is still an operating budget to fufill our obligations, catering has been outsourced anyway, its not like there is no money to do anything, players will still be paid and certain obligations will still have to be met!

Cash only whyte cant be trusted ,he is screwing evryone from tax man to small buisness and last but not least the Rangers support

Kyle bartley has played last game for gers loan signings will be first off the books, also cousin will be first to leave from the players in first team.

Believable16 Unbelievable16

Aye so wait the now we've just signed cousin and then gonna get rid of him? never heard so much sh*t in my life !

Agree0 Disagree0

The club has not yet entered administration and even when we do, we still have a budget to operate within, it will be down to the administrator who comes and goes and they have NOT YET been appointed, so it is pointless of you coming in and saying this is going to happen and that is going to happen, because you have no clue! I dont think Cousin will go either because Rangers will need to come to a settlement on his contract and there is likely to be an early release clause in Bartley's loan deal!

Agree0 Disagree0

Not neccessarily if he moved for a fee and little or no wages paid by Rangers then he would be kept until end of season

Does anybody know the point in signing Cousin? If we go into administration and go 14 points behind the league is over. There is no way they will drop points in 5 games. So might as well play Hemmings between now and seasons end. Really wonder if this is Whyte just playing his first hand and see what develops. I'm not in denial of the situation, just find the Cousin signing a strange one now.

My business knowlage is not the best... Can someone explain to me the best and the worst possible outcomes of administration? From what I know it does currently seem the best option.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Option 1

IN the best case scenario, Rangers go into administration and get a Creditors Voluntary Agreement (CVA) by March 30. This would mean 75 per cent of their creditors accept a lesser sum over two to three years.

This would allow the club to submit audited accounts before the March 31 deadline the SPL expect of all clubs participating in Europe the next season.

In this scenario, the only real penalty Rangers suffer will be the mandatory 10-point deduction for going into administration.

However, given the time- frame, it is unlikely they will obtain an agreement before the deadline.

Option 2

A CVA is agreed – but after the March 31 deadline, meaning Rangers must sacrificeEurope for one season.

Also, if they are still in administration when the new season starts, they will begin 10 points behind everyone else as continuing punishment.

Option 3

The creditors refuse to agree a settlement, forcing the administrator to liquidate the company and leaving HMRC with little or nothing.

Rangers would be able to transfer their assets to a new company and re-invent themselves as a phoenix club, as Leeds United did in 2007.

The new club would require an agreement from the SFA and SPL to allow them to take the old Rangers Football Club’s place in the top flight.

However, I expect the authorities to approve such an application for no greater reason than Sky Sports’ contract based on the incentive of four Old Firm games a season.

Option 4

The doomsday scenario would see Rangers in liquidation, booted out of the SPL and forced to work their way back up from the third division.

I can’t see this happening because of the potential implications for the SPL’s TV deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Best is for an individual or group to come in and buy us, clear our debts and on we go.
Worst is for Whyte to prove to be a con man, divvi up our assets between himself and the tax man then pi*s off leaving us with no income or assets ie, in the grubber.
For what it's worth I think we will end up somewhere in between. Whyte will continue to run the club in the SPL after doing a deal to reduce our debts to a managable level, incl HMRC, which will allow us to pay it off over a period of time. However, we will struggle to compete for the next 5 or 6 seasons as little or no money will be invested in the team until we work our way out of the remaining debt or until we are bought by someone with a big wallet...

Cheers mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree. a reduced debt with hmrc will be the best outcome. hmrc though, will push this for a decision of guilty or hmrc will appeal. they are desperate for a test case that allows them to pursue other clubs. c*nts

Agree0 Disagree0

Sounds simplistic, but wouldn't it be great if another Rangers billionaire would appear and happily pay HMRC the millions they want and tell them to get stuffed and then inject more into Rangers? McColl might yet be the man. More realistically, a pre-pack administration deal is likely. That way, the 'old' business would be put into administration but sold as a going concern to a new business - all the assets and income transfer but the debts are left with the old business. HMRC would get nothing. It does seem to me that HMRC are being vindictive now and given that the tribunal hasn't even yet announced its findings, what do they think they might achieve by forcing administration?

Who is going to save our club ? us or leave it to chance what a bunch of lightweights now i understand 1 or 2 of us really care save your energy for the next old firm game probably be your last good luck to you and good riddance to you ashamed to report that you really don't care that much for our club. Celtic supporters would have delivered their life savings by now, what a bunch neanderthals we are

Believable16 Unbelievable18

Simple as we either come out debt free or we dont exist

Agree0 Disagree0

The situation with celtic when Mccann came in to save them was far more simple. This is too big for supporters to take any action. A possible £75 million tax bill plus everything else that needs paid (ticketus, player fees, other tax bills) would put the figure owed at over £100million. I believe this has been the plan all along, Murray didn't want to be the one to put it into admin so got whyte in to do it. He comes in and looks like a hero.

A Notice of Intent is not administration. Every effort will be made right up until the last moment to avoid going into administration. Discussions are ongoing with HMRC to explore any remaining possibility to keep the Club from entering into an insolvency process.

14days = 10 working days come on HMRC come to an agreement or risk getting a big fat zero ?

Time for all real true blues to get to ibrox on Saturday and get behind the team

We need to show everyone our intent .......

Believable14 Unbelievable8

There are no talks with HMRC.Whyte is doing what he does best, lying. If you listen to his speech,on one hand he says discussions are ongoing, following with"HMRC will appeal till they win so deal unlikely.Ourclub, unless someone comes forward with around £100m(for starters)will almost certainly be shut down.
There may well be a consortium out there who will start again but it will be a new club, not rangers as we know it.No league titles, trophy wins, nana, zilch. We may not even own Ibrox,no SFA licence,no european football.this is what we are facing.

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC dont care they want all or nothing, they will crush your club to make a point.

Agree0 Disagree0

I fear the HMRC will not care if Rangers go bust and they get nothing as they will then use this as a case for going after bigger clubs in England

Agree0 Disagree0

Craig whyte trying to force tax mans hand we'll see wot happens dont hit panic buttons just yet

Agree0 Disagree0

The HMRC will not set a precedent of making a deal. It makes more sense for them to get nothing from but keep their backbone and get every penny from the clubs down south, Liverpool supposedly next.
