Heard from mate today who is usually quite good with info, the following;
Big reshuffle in senior management being discussed behind scenes - Rafa coming back from China as new technical football director an option
Money coming in end of season/ new season from as yet unknown group
So as a rumour page I'll pass them on.

Mocbear, firstly i can't see the rafa rumour being anything but bull, tho not al managers are motivated by money, ime sure rafe has a few million in the bank, so i don't see money being a problem, they can't take them millions with them,

Fellow bears I no he was at Celtic but that doesn’t really matter now a days but I would honestly like to see us go for eamon brophy he tore our defence apart he’s scorin for fun at killie and the last striker we took from them Boyd well look how that worked out only my opinion tho.

Paulellen, you're right not everyone is motivated by money but when he was leaving Newcastle Rafa could have continued to manage in any of the top divisions in europe. He chose the big bucks in China. that's not a career choice, that's a decision motivated by money.

We could not afford to free Benitez from his lucrative contract to hire him in ANY capacity and certainly wouldn’t be paying more than the managers salary for a Technical director.
Appreciate you posting the rumour though that’s what this page is all about but this one has no legs!

Agree with most on this rumour, to be fair to him he’s not directly associated with club more business end with Parks and picked thus up at some meeting/ gathering recently where it was discussed as Rafa still mentoring SG from afar to some degree.

Why would Benitez come in that role? Far too much pride to be seen as that imo, only every way he’d be at us is in a manager position and there is not a chance of that happening IMO, although I’d loved to be proved wrong.

Rafa coming in from China. Heard it all now. Gerrard’s honeymoon period is over, he has a year to rectify this, if he doesn’t he knows where the door is simple as that. We have the players there to win trophies for some reason the last 2 years in a row when we have come back from the winter break we have capitulated.

Handed the mutants the league in February yet again. This needs to get sorted because I’m really getting sick to death of this and Gerrard constantly throwing players under a bus. We have played with the same formation for a year it’s getting found out, leaving it far to late to make substitutions, we have know plan B, doesn’t take enough brave decisions and if it continues he will lose then dressing room and his job. Don’t care what he’s done in his career only care about what he’s doing at Rangers and what’s best for our club.

I also heard about the Rafa link, and the “BIG” investment is being part funded by the owners of Liverpool that’s we must play the loanees.

both Klopp and Gerard signed 4 year contracts within days of each other is so that there is no monetary transactions required between the 2 clubs so no conflict of interest.

something is not write with the squad since the winter break could it be true about gerrard losing the dressing room.
I like gerrard but some serious questions need to be asked off him now
He is responsible for keeping team morale up but all i see him doing is hammering the players morale even when we do win some times he criticises them.
If the rumours are true and he has lost the dressing room then there is only going be 1 outcome and that involves gerrard leaving,
this could turn out to be a expensive and a turnover of a lot players again
for this reasaoan.

Are we not playing too deep Aribo and Kent especially also there is no desire and hunger to do the press we go through the motions till we get a goal and then just give in no question we got beat by a more hungrier team that wanted to work for each other and get the result fair play to them before the break we played the high press to tee now the work rate has gone down a few levels the skill is there for all to see you don’t win titles waiting on things to happen you need that midfield to get stuck in there play to a much quicker tempo I really hope sg gets them back playing to the standard we were at before The break .

I think gerrard has been to loyal to some of these players and thay have let him down badly. he needs to change the formation of the team as all the other teams know how we play. i think the formation is good for playing in Europe but not in the league. now that it is almost over its time give a few of the fringe players a chance nothing to loose and it might surprise us all.

we have totally capitulated since the winter break. Not for the first time. The early warning signs were there at the Stranraer and St Mirren. We were awful in both games. A serious inquest into what has happened required at Murray Park. Every single player can't suddenly go miles off form after a 3 week break. Every single player has been awful since the break which certainly points to the deressing room being lost. Gerard's decision making is baffling too and he needs to take responsibility too.

Not surprised he’s losing the dressing room. One bad game and you’re dropped, unless you’re one of his pet players (Goldson, Kent, Aribo, Tav) then you can have as many as you want and never get bombed out. Then any time we lose because he is tactically inept he chucks the players in front of the bus and says “they didn’t want it enough” despite everyone knowing exactly how we will play and how to cause us problems.

players looked very tired last night not using the full squad for lesser games kent has been a waste of money davis can't last 90 min morelos going back the way celtic have a massive squad with another 3 back this week we can't compete with that we put all our money 1 guy Kent and he failed big time don't beat hearts in the cup the season is finished.

We do seem to be off the pace sharpness wise and it’s baffling tbh, the quick high press was killing teams. Our first XI is strong enough to beat anyone in the league, when we lose key players we def struggle and aren’t the same team in any phases of play. Hopefully we can get our best team on the park and get a run going again. Without pressure Celtic will continue to run over teams.

VAR is a must for next season for Scottish football. Rangers board need to push this big time. Referees in this country are simply awful and make too many mistakes. VAR will solve this. This does not excuse the Rangers players who have let the fans and the club down big time. The performances since the winter break have been a disgrace and have gifted them the title. Gerard needs to also take responsibility for a number of awful decisions and performances since the Stranraer game.

Don't forget, VAR works both ways. If Alfredo is still here when and if it is introduced, he would play about one game in ten. As much as I love him for his goals, he is a cheating wee ned.

Completely agree with everything youve said Stevie. A year ago I would have been one that said "dont give me any excuses about poor refs, it evens itself out" I still don't want to use it as an excuse but the officiating is absolutely shocking. VAR would sort this so let's take it out the refs hands. The fact of the matter is that we are not good enough though to make poor refereeing a non factor. Poor refereeing doesn't make our players run less, create less chances or make stupid defensive mistakes.

A quick other point. I find it disgraceful and disrespectful for some on here to refer to SG as the "celebrity". He is a big name worldwide in football because he had a superb career as a player. Calling him "celebrity" insinuates that he is more interested in the fame than doing a good job and this is not the case. SG has a lot of learning to do as a manager and he is certainly making a lot of mistakes and not learning from them. Same tactics, lack of ability to change and poor team selection at times are hurting him badly. He won't be sacked because we can't afford to pay him and his staff their 4 year contracts so we need to get behind him. We have no option. Criticise constructively, offer opinions of course but no need to get personal with this "celebrity" crap. If anyone genuinely believes he's more interested in the fame that comes along with his position and past than doing a good job then i for one wholeheartedly disagree with your opinion. The guy is making mistakes yes but i know he's working as hard as he can.

I've said umpteen times that VAR is the only way to go. I was thinking long and hard about this last night and apart from the Goldson incident last week with the handball, I can't think of any other decision we have had in our favour. The 2 Celtic games (The LC game and the 29th Dec) were littered with errors, all against us, and there have been many, many decisions go against us in other games. Last night there was the Dicker dive, holding his face in the box - no 2nd yellow card, the clear handball in the lead up to their equaliser and the manhandling of Tavernier which is a yellow card 10 times out of 10 (obviously unless our players are fouled) . And the foul on Kent by Burke as he raced in on goal was a red card and a free kick in a dangerous area, though some might question the fact that Kent should have been stronger and muscled his way on to the ball. I played up front for a spell and I can guarantee that I would have got on the end of that ball. Might not have scored but I would have got an attempt on goal! The Morelos disallowed goal was a push and probably rightly ruled out imo. Mark Hateley would have muscled out the defender and bulleted that one in to the net no problem. I agree with the comments on Morelos regarding the silly cheating incidents. Last night he did the exact same as in the Celtic game. Why can't he just stay on his feet and have a lash at the ball? If he had done that at Parkhead the ball might just have flown in past big Lurch. Because of that he was banned for 3 games and since he came back he has struggled to find the groove again. All that said, I didn't think the performance was that bad. It is a hard venue with the pitch and everything and most clubs usually struggle there, including the other lot. Aribo slips a split second before he shoots, Arfield misses by a foot or so and Morelos hits the bar.
Some decent luck and VAR would be a good start.

Seeker, ide imagine the players heads must go down on a weekly basic, when they see the waywe are cheated by officials, funny how we can win euro games eh, big pete knows we would win the league if our club were treated properly by officials, big pete has all the officials where he needs them, but hey what else could we expect, he is head man in sfa.
