Inside Source

Weiss Pre Contract
Wilson - Loan if things go right
Cuellar - Possible something is holding the deal up.
Bedoya - Fee still to sorted
McEarchran - Possible loan .

Not Arriving
Juhasz - Deal is Dead
Lovenkrands - No Go

Believable7 Unbelievable12

Inside source, my arse. All of those are either common knowledge or common sense. Except for Weiss which is wishful thinking and McEachran which is just nonsense.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wilson - Possible Loan (Nothing New)
Cuellar - Possibly (Nothing New)
Juhasz Deal Dead (Yes, Ally said that)
Lovenkrands (Wasnt true to begin with)
Mceachran Possibly (Nothing new)
Bedoya Fee to be agreed (Nothing new)

The only thing you have given us is a Pre-contract with Weiss which IMO is bulls**t, I could have told you everything you have said and I am a big nobody, If you really do have an INSIDE SOURCE, how about actually saying something that people havent known about for weeks ?

Weiss Pre Contract
Wilson - Loan if things go right

Bedoya - Fee still to sorted
McEarchran - Possible loan .

your inside source not tell u what is holding the cuellar deal up lol yet another load of s**te

Agree0 Disagree0

Juhasz WILL sign

Agree0 Disagree0

Juhasz reportedly begged anderlecht in a last ditch attempt to get his transfer to gers.

gers will return with the same offer - making one final attempt.

Weiss wont return to ibrox. even when his contract his expires he'll have an array of clubs to choose from.

Agree0 Disagree0

Weiss will not be at rangers, check out his twitter, the wee clown has even changed his pic back to man city,so dont expect the wee fake to turn up anytime soon.

Agree0 Disagree0

The thing is guys there is nothing new to report thats why there is old news coming out . As i have stated before i am a friend of Jimmy Bell the Kit Man and this is Genuine . Jimmy Bell lives in Bellshill has a son Called Martin who works at Co-op In Newhouse Lanarkshire . Is that enough prove that this is an Inside Source.

Agree0 Disagree0

The only one guarantee you seem to have is bedoya the rest are all imaginary and perhaps more than likely we wont need any of them to keep the bench warm or your paranoia in check grow up we dont need them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cuellar
Wilson
is Imaginary where do you live the Moon? its been quoted by the media several time for these 2 players . and even McEarchran has been quoted aswell .
You say Grow up why dont you read past posts and reports and SHUT UP . I believe the poster as J.Bell is Kit Man and his son is called Martin they live not far away from me .

Agree0 Disagree0

My source didnt say what was holding up Cuellar deal confidentality come to mind like how would you like it if the Doctor told everyone on here about your Medical History maybe find out you have warts . Weiss yeah maybe man city because he plays for them but he still has his Rangers background

Agree0 Disagree0

Jim Bell does not come from bellshill for a kick off

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah he does i work beside his laddie mate in Newhouse .

Agree0 Disagree0

Use yer skull numb nut the poster .

Agree0 Disagree0

Take it were minus a Kit Man soon .

Agree0 Disagree0

Jimmy bell is a legend

Agree0 Disagree0

Jimmy bell does not live in Bellshill. I will not post his address on here. Your not doing him any favours coming on hear saying he's feeding out information from within Ibrox watp

Rangers to get john parkin on loan aka the beast

Believable3 Unbelievable9

Don't think do good lower league English player but way below out standard makes charlie adams look slim

Agree0 Disagree0

The fat guy thats signed for cardiff aye... you just read the garbage earlier about some mug lying about seeing a shirt geting printed and could see park... either you are another liar or the same one

Agree0 Disagree0

Why we already have the two best keepers in the spl

Agree0 Disagree0

Getting a bit desparate now mr lennon

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you just read that guy's shocking rumour about Craig Whyte in the megastore getting a shirt printed, then think up a name that begins with 'Park'? Or do you have a decent source?

Agree0 Disagree0

Eh sorry who's parkin.... {Ed003's Note -lol}

Agree0 Disagree0

Never heard of him until this post. Guy hardly looks the epitome of fitness lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Your mentel a fat guy wich woudny make the bench

Agree0 Disagree0

M8 its park ji sung everybody knows that ffs

Agree0 Disagree0

He looks like a thin James Beattie

Agree0 Disagree0

weiss pre-contract in january;)

Believable6 Unbelievable7

He has over a yr on his contract at least, more lies and fabrication

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so great player gettin better all the time but most of all he came to realise what Glasgow rangers is all about bluenose 4life...WATP...

Agree0 Disagree0

How would u know this ? is it cuz u jst post randum stuff for no reason what so ever

Agree0 Disagree0

Pretty sure this is his last year soz if am wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

Incorrect, deal expires summer 2012

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand he has two years on his contract still to run. Possibly one year though... if so, we could sign him on a pre-contract in January... but we couldn't get him then until the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if it expires summer 2012 then he can sign a pre contact in jan u muppet

Agree0 Disagree0

Give up on weiss FS, Yes he was good and he likes rangers, but mancini has already stated that he rates him highly as a potential future player for them. It's about time people realised that weiss is a no go and lied about something else

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh aye I would play him in the man city squad before any of the players who they've paid 40 million for and is on 100k a week Get a grip he'll be lucky to make bench down there

Agree0 Disagree0

If mancini rates him so highly why has he came out and said he wants to add a winger to his squad, vlads got about as much chance at city as i have-id love him to return for the clubs sake

Today's paper talk on sky sports news app, Alex Mcleish
Says cuellar may still sign for Rangers

Binman

Believable6 Unbelievable5

Carlos cuellar the enigma I dont think its good to go backwards get somebody else if not juhasz then Im sure they can find someone to sign up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bring back the king

Scooby

Agree0 Disagree0

Cuellar is not signing for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye he is where have you been sleeping wakey wakey

Agree0 Disagree0

Jusharsz will sign eventually Wilson will come in on loan which will end our interest in cuellar....

Believable8 Unbelievable13

Juhasz will NOT sign. Give over.

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you reckon we really need Juahasz, Goian, Bartley, Wilson and Weir?

Agree0 Disagree0

It looks as i though we will get 2 out of the 3... personally i would prefer not to take wilson unless it was on a permanent deal.

Was a silly move to go to liverpool at that time, far too early in his career, could have established himself until he was 23/24 and then went, would have got a good 4 ys service from him. Feel he bailed slightly

Agree0 Disagree0

Cuellar deal is complete - just the timing because of money. Personally I would grab the hand about Wilson but I dont know how Ally thinks on this. Hutton plus Mc Kay will follow soon. I have been told in confidence that a midfielder in Yorkshire and a forward abroad are being sought - this came from an agent friend.Looks like an exciting time ahead Yorkielad

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, bare in mind we need to build a squad. Bartley will be going back to Arsenal next year and if we get Wilson on loan he'll return to Liverpool, Weir will be retiring. We don't know just yet how Goian will be for us and anyways we always need cover.

Agree0 Disagree0

Take weir out that equation Defo

Agree0 Disagree0

3.5Million for Juhasz when Cuellar is a proven PREMIERSHIP class defender for Ł2Million and he loves the club and knows what it's all about. Cuellar & Wilson come home boys.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well u do play defensive so cant hurt havin enough cover
daviebhoy08

Agree0 Disagree0

You can also play papac in ther no chance of that would be 5 defenders we just got in plus otiz can play at the back aswel

Agree0 Disagree0

No he wont, gers have no money, just accept it will only be bargain buys or loans.
We'll be knockd out of the europa league and 'they' will have the league tied up by march
And before the manky mob supporter jibes come just wait and see and i'll post again next may saying I told you so.
Ive been a copeland front season ticket holder for 8 years and am p'd off with tbe way things are going at ibrox, love coisty but he is not a manager and the tax bill has kilked off any signings, cuellar wont sign and thats why we're going for wilson.

Agree0 Disagree0

Daviebhoy - we play like champions.

Agree0 Disagree0

If your that pissed off give your season ticket up and go and support Man Utd or some c***. rangers till i die win lose or draw. A way of life.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the gers go out of europe and celtic dont rangers will win the league celtic lost most ponts last year wen thay played twe games a weak you have to play alote harder in eurupe

Agree0 Disagree0

Cuellar is a better option he has proven track record and will take less time to settle in, not sure about loan deals as we are back to square one next summer when player returns to his club we need to build for the future not having to change our bank line every summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well from the way ur moaning dont renew ur Copland front seat

Agree0 Disagree0

Daviebhoy there u are again concerning urself with rangers rumours, what's wrong fed looking at the same drool from ur own runners up page, away back and there and cream ur self with keane and Bellamy rumours lmao the manky mob canny even spend Ł2 mill on a goal keeper and call us skint HA

Agree0 Disagree0

A hope we get at least 1 of them (culler or the Hungarian) why get Wilson Wen bartly is twice the player he is.dnt see the point in getin a second string pool player coz we used to play wif us

Agree0 Disagree0

Al dae.wit I want use are aw the idiots getting shafted by whyte.like I said i'll come nack on when I proved right with my predictions n yeez are all moaning about the same as I am now.

Rangers bid £3m for the Hungary international, but the Belgian club are demanding £500,000 more for the 28-year-old.

Believable10 Unbelievable9

This is breaking news? whats your source? last weeks paper?

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope we get this dude would be great edition..if we do forget about cuellar and get Wilson on loan...save
money wait for the right guys preferebly young Scottish prospects....

Agree0 Disagree0

If true I would tell Anderlecht to take it or leave it. Would like to think they would take it as they don't want an unhappy player upsetting the rest of the dressing room (I hope).

Agree0 Disagree0

This is getting really boring now just tell them to go and poke it and maybe the dude will go on strike as his boss has broken the "gentleman agreement"

Agree0 Disagree0

BBC is my source- It was part of a story

Agree0 Disagree0

3 million is way out our price range

Agree0 Disagree0

Deal is dead ssn

Agree0 Disagree0

This boy better be worht it

Agree0 Disagree0

Please dont turn this into goodwillie bulls**t its boring

Agree0 Disagree0

His club were hoping we wouldn't reach the fee they had agreed with the player. When we did they panicked as they didn't wanna sell him. Tho he publically insulted the club and as the saying goes no1 is bigger than the club.

Rangers will put in a slightly improved offer and hope that anderlecht accept to get rid of the player who's not happy

Agree0 Disagree0

Ł3million..We can't even pay Ł2.8million to revenue...Which would close us down

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope we get the players we need talk is cheap.

ed gordon smith said overall we have bid 7 milion overall for players? 3million juhasz, 2million cuellar, 1-2million verhoek,500k-1million miller, 600k goian. that is atleast 7million, then theres 2million goodwillie, ortiz, bedoya, mckay? am a missing something? {Ed032's Note - Did he not say that after miller signed for cardiff though? and after ortiz had signed?}

Believable6 Unbelievable7

He said it today on talksport {Ed032's Note - well then that would minus the 600k for goian, the 1million for miller, the 2 million for goodwillie, the 500k for ortiz surely?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ortiz was a bozman

Agree0 Disagree0

He actually said "over 7 million"

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, but that is a ridiculous way to look at it and tells me all I need to know about Smith's intelligence and explains why we are not getting the players we need. Go after you top priority players and bid their value, and then if you are successful you live with that knowing you have improved the team. Who cares if you miss out on your 6th option.

Agree0 Disagree0

They were talking about not having money, and he said if every offer they had put in this summer had been accepted they wouldve spent over 7million?

Agree0 Disagree0

Verhoek is not leaving holland

Agree0 Disagree0

Ortis cost 500000 btw

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Ortiz was a bosman i'm sure we paid something for him

Agree0 Disagree0

Ortiz was 500k

Agree0 Disagree0

I know he said over 7million, but juhasz 3m, cuellar 2m, 1-2m verhoek, 1.5m is atleast 7.5m, add on on goian 600k, bedoya 400k, goodwillie 2m is atleast 10m. thats without the miller bid so why did he not say they had bid atleast 10m ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ortiz was 500k, And Dorin Goian Was 800k

Agree0 Disagree0

I LISTENED TO GORDON SMITH'S INTERVIEW ON TALKSPORT TODAY & WHAT HE SAID WAS RANGERS HAD BIDS ON THE TABLE FOR PLAYERS TOTALING Ł7 MILL ALL AT ONCE, HE THEN SAID WHAT IF THESE BIDS WERE ACCEPTED, WE COULDN'T TELL THE SELLING CLUBS THAT WE DIDN'T HAVE THE CASH TO GO AHEAD WITH THE DEALS, HE LAUGHED AND SAID THE CASH WAS THERE & STILL IS THERE & SUPER ALLY WILL BE BACKED BY WHYTE, THE BOARD THE LOT.

JAK

Agree0 Disagree0

Was a bosman due to release clause in contract but would have had to have paid a healthy sign on fee

Agree0 Disagree0

If you bid Ł100,000 for players 200 times would that not mean you've bid Ł20million for players? Same as me making 1000 bids on ebay at Ł20 each. don't mean i spent Ł20,000. pure spin. Nothing more. I fear for Rangers..

Agree0 Disagree0

Sums are simple total amount of players in cost= not very much..Total of money
mentioned #7 million ha ha what are you trying to say mr Smith that there is millions left in the kitty..your statement is illogical.

Just 2 let every1 know you's can read this yourself on this site arsenal have signed a young japanese player and he was granted a work permit even though he has not played a game for japan the reason he was given work permit according 2 ars wenger he is an exceptional talent well I watched wales v oz the other night and as far as I could see matt mckay is an exceptional talent and he has played 60% of the aussie's games in the last year I would like 2 know who sits on these panels in scotland 2 grant work permits any ideas ed
WATP

Believable4 Unbelievable6

Exceptional talent aka promising youngster mckays 28

Agree0 Disagree0

It's no the SFA that decide it's the home office. money talks though eh
s-bear

Agree0 Disagree0

I know Pat Nevin sits on them sometimes.

GovanFR

Agree0 Disagree0

One of them is Pat Nevin. Defo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Young players going to BIG clubs are nearly always granted exceptions when it comes to work permits, prime example was Man U's Anderson, who had only played a couple of games for Brazil when he signed for them, plus it was something like Ł18m they paid for him. When it comes to players like McKay, who is abour 28 I believe, they either need to hold an EU passport or have played 80% of their countries international games in the last 2 years to gain a work permit, if like you say it's only 60%, then he might not get one. This is as far as I know anyways, might have changed, but here's hoping he gets cleared though

Agree0 Disagree0

That japanese player signed a few years ago. hes just been out on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

To be deemed as an exceptional talent you have to be pretty young. McKay is to old for that.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you need to play a certain amount of your countries games in the initial application. If you don't meet that percentage you automatically fail it and need to appeal it. I think that's what happened with Bedoya and also with one of C****c's signings this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kiki mizuno.....nuff said

Agree0 Disagree0

My comment is that due to britains immigration policy it has a negative affect on all british clubs` ability to attract young non eu talent early allowing massive sell ons for the clubs that unearth a true gem which happens in holland for example

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted original point 2 those who keep reminding mckay is 28 I know that I am not a dafty, my point is u can't have 1 rule for 1 person and 1 for another, I am sure victor wanyama from the dark side will be classed as an exceptional talent but he wasn't given a work permit right away either and he is a young player but it is all right for big epl teams 2 bring in players so whoever sits on panels down south look at wether they think they will enhance their league where as the f***in daftys on the panels up here stick to f***ed up rules because RANGERS will appeal decision and get the player anyway so why all the bulls**t get my point

Ally McCoist is more hopeful of an early arrival at Rangers for Alejandro Bedoya after the United States midfielder received a work permit.

The 24-year-old has signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Scottish champions in January.

But Rangers manager McCoist is hopeful that his Swedish club, Orebro, will now agree a fee to allow him to leave before the new year.

Orebro have rejected that idea as they are midway through their own season.

Rangers were today ready to make one final push to land Anderlecht defender Roland Juhasz – as the player held showdown talks with the Belgians over his future.
The move for the Hungarian appeared to be doomed earlier this week after Gers failed to meet the asking price, believed to be around £3.5million.
However, Ibrox gaffer Ally McCoist does not want to give up on landing the 28-year-old in time for him to be the wildcard signing ahead of next week’s crucial Europa League play-off tie against Maribor.
And, after fresh discussions with owner Craig Whyte today, Rangers were ready to up their £2.7m offer and hope that would be enough to finally get their man, just as he voiced his displeasure to Anderlecht over their stance.
Anderlecht have confirmed they want a further £175,000 tabled, whilst there is still a £175,000 agent fee to be paid, which Rangers are reluctant to do. The player himself may have to forfeit a signing-on fee to make the deal happen.
Anderlecht general manager Herman van Holsbeeck has confirmed that Gers’ hopes of landing the player hinge on an improved bid.
He said: “I understand that Juhasz is mad with us just now and that he wants a new challenge.
“But we don’t want to sell him because he is a very important player to our club.”
McCoist has insisted he still has an interest in Carlos Cuellar, but Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish said today that the deal appeared to have stalled.
The Spaniard remains a month away from fitness, and it now remains to be seen if Rangers will go through with a £2m deal before the transfer window closes in 19 days’ time.
McLeish said: “It is at something of an impasse at the moment. Something could occur on the transfer deadline. We have not run out of patience, but right now I do not know if it will happen.”
Despite intimating a desire to return to Rangers on a loan from Liverpool, there will be no moves made for Danny Wilson unless the pursuit of McCoist’s main defensive targets bring no reward.
Meanwhile, Rangers have moved to ease fears over the health of Sasa Papac by confirming the player does not have pneumonia.

Ally McCoist is not expecting Roland Juhasz to join Rangers this summer, although a return to the club for Danny Wilson could be on the cards.

Gers have seen numerous bids rejected by Anderlecht for defender Juhasz and McCoist's patience appears to have finally snapped.

The club seem unlikely to make any fresh offers having labelled their last bid a "more than fair" offer for the Hungary international.

"If they're saying the deal is dead then I would probably say the deal is dead," he commented on Juhasz.
Return

However, as one door closes another could be open with McCoist interested in bringing Wilson back to Ibrox in a loan capacity.

The young Scot departed for Liverpool but has found first-team football hard to come by at Anfield.

McCoist is a huge fan of the 19-year-old's ability and is not ruling out making a move before the transfer window closes.

"Danny is a player we know very well, he is a great talent and will only get better," he added. "That's something I wouldn't rule out."

Rangers manager Ally McCoist is hoping the club will be able to sign Alejandro Bedoya and Matt McKay sooner rather than later.

Gers have agreed a pre-contract to bring in Bedoya in January, although they are now hoping to strike a deal with his club side Orebro to bring him in now.

The American has been granted a work permit to play in Scotland and McCoist would dearly like him to be registered to play in the Europa League.

"The good news is that we've got a work permit for Alejandro Bedoya. In an ideal world for all parties we would like to get a deal done sooner rather than later," he told the club's official website.

"I will speak to Craig Whyte and see if we can do a deal with Orebro and it would be ideal if we could have Bedoya registered for next week's Europa League match in Maribor."
Waiting

Rangers have also agreed terms with Australia international McKay and the club are now waiting for his work permit to be processed.

McCoist is hopeful the 28-year-old will be given the green light to play for the SPL champions after he impressed in midweek against Wales.

"We don't have a date yet for the hearing but we hope that we are successful," McCoist added on McKay. "Everything else in terms of the deal has been done.

"Matt can play in a couple of positions. He has a very good pedigree and has broken into the Australian national team.

"He did very well for the Australians against Wales on Wednesday. He is comfortable on the left or in the middle. He has bundles of energy and gets box to box. Hopefully he will be a good acquisition."

I just bumped into Craig Whyte in the Rangers mega store, he was having a shirt printed with a name on the back I could only make out the first few letters on the shirt though it was Park?

Looks like this one could be getting paraded tonight, to the media.

Believable5 Unbelievable26

I think u bumped into summit alot harder ya bam get bk to yer own sceptic runners up page.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha yeah cause Craig Whyte has nothing better to do than to be the bus boy and run down to the megastore for a shirt to be printed lol i guess you just posted that we were gettin Parker on loan honestly take a long hard look at yourself in the mirror coz u need a reality check

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I am sure the owner does things like that... he doesnt have financial issues and transfers to deal with so he pops out and gets a shirt printed for a new singing for productivity lol.

I think he would get one of the ibrox staff to do trivial tasks like that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Scott parker we have no chance,

more likely to be a gift for park's bus company.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance, see reply to rumour below, plus Sony expect us to believe Craig whyte wud b gettin the name printed, I'm sure that would hav sum lackey to deal with tht, cabbage

Just heard directly from a current pro at the club that Ally is trying to get Scott Parker on loan for the season.

Apparently we're back in for Juhasz and that Coisty would like him for the wildcard (source: evening times)

Looks like we're a bit spoiled for choice RE: the wildcard with Bedoya granted a work permit & Mckay having an appeal early next week

Also Marcelo Estigarribia has moved to Deportivo Maldonado for 2million euro's (Source Imscouting transfer centre)

WATP

Believable6 Unbelievable4

I really wanted that estigaribbia... what a tool they are a 2nd division side in Uraguay Does he not have ambition. Says on wiki they finsihed 6th and lost the play off to go up to 1st div

What happpened to Juve as well. surely if any player had the chance to live in italy and play for a club of juve's stature they would jump at the chance.. Fud

as for the Juhasz boy heres hoping, we need a dominant CB tp pillage the tims

Agree0 Disagree0

How many defenders does Walter Junior want at the club? My personal opinion is we must have a loan deal in the bag already for a EPL striker as there is no movement on that front whatsoever and it doesnt seem to make any sense to pay Ł4mill for defender when you have nobody up top to help Jelavic.Dont get me wrong love to see big man at club and wee naisy will try his heart out for the club but a striker he is not

Rangers were today ready to make one final push to land Anderlecht defender Roland Juhasz – as the player held showdown talks with the Belgians over his future.

The move for the Hungarian appeared to be doomed earlier this week after Gers failed to meet the asking price, believed to be around Ł3.5million.

However, Ibrox gaffer Ally McCoist does not want to give up on landing the 28-year-old in time for him to be the wildcard signing ahead of next week’s crucial Europa League play-off tie against Maribor.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so... at the end of the day i dont see why anderlecht should let him go on the cheap, they valued him at 5.5M euros 2 seasons ago, now 4.5, the fact that they are willing to take Ł3.5M which in todays cash is 4M euros surely of we off load deadwood like Beattie for that amount we can just put it to that.

Beattie is not even on these days, gettimg paid to train, jelavic, Lafferty, naismith, healy, Hemmings are all before him I would say in that order. So why not flog him or Kerkar... Kerkar has played 7 mins of competative action since he arrived We could surely get rid of those 2 and broadsnib and have a gd 1.5M to invest back in to the squad

Wilson wanting rangers to go in for him

Get our finger out and get him and cuellar in

Mcgregor
Whittacker, Cuellar goian/wilson, wallace
Ortiz Davis Bartley naisy

Jela and lafferty

Which leaves edu, lee, wilson/goian, wylde papac mackay for the bench good strong squad and maybe another winger and striker

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Would agree with this although I would let Lafferty go/keep him on the bench.

I think we need another top striker and can't rely on them 2 playing well for a full season.

Even play naisy upfront and lee Wallace left mid until we find a decent left winger or striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

Drop papac? No chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Naismith is not a striker we cant continue to play him up top with Jelavic it has to be lafferty i think people need to get off his back he is a striker and when hes played as a striker he scores its a simple as that people believe he isnt good enough because they judge him on when he is played wide left if he plays continually up top with jela and then doesnt score or impress i will hold my hands up and admit i was wrong but untill then give him a chance.

Realisticly id go for this.

Mcgregor
Whittaker Bartley Goian Papac
Ortiz Davis Naismith Wallace
Jelavic Lafferty

Although unless whittaker starts tome come up with the goods he has to be dropped just so he gets a reality check that hes not gona play good or bad remeber we have 2 top rb prospects in Mcmillan and Cole and id expect that possibly ness or hutton will come in throughout the season for ortiz with naismith taking the wide right and 1 of them going in the middle. WAKE UP ALLY AND STOP PLAYING PLAYERS OUT OF POSITION.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Laffert is a completely different player when he gets played up front Goals and his workrate are good Papac is a tough one but we need full backs to be bombing forward

Agree0 Disagree0

We just invested in a new left back why not play him there?

Personally I rate Wallace higher than papac

Agree0 Disagree0

Not bad squad for me. 1 change tho. Naismith on right and Mckay on the left. If you dont agree just watch the matt mckay compilation on youtube and add to the 7000 hits its took this week. great passer, great engine, scores with both feet. If u think its trick camera work then just enjoy the music cos we r gonnae have a midfield tae match celtic this season. when they throw kayal, commons, brown, ledley and ki at us we will just reply with mcculloch, davis, mckay, naismith and bedoya. This is box office by the way and i cannae wait. bring it on we shall not be moved

Agree0 Disagree0

Mckay will be in cm with Davis ball winner who can play a bit

Agree0 Disagree0

Gers should grab danny wilson very quick before someone else and if can get cuellar in as well for Ł2mil we can afford to give him a better wage but mr cheepo white wont part with his money it seems

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats right mcKay will be in cm. he will be everywhere cos thats the kind of player he is. He made the Brisbane Roar and will make Ibrox roar. believe the hype.

Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish has told Rangers they can still have central defender Carlos Cuellar for £2m if they want him. (Daily Record)

Source - BBC

Believable9 Unbelievable4

We had an offer accepted for Cuellar weeks ago so we know where we stand with McLeish and Aston Villa. It's the player himself who's not exactly showing a desire to rejoin. My opinion is either he's waiting it out to see if a better offer comes in or he's leaving it to the last minute so he can pick up more wages at Villa whilst he's injured. Hopefully it's the latter but i doubt it.

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2011 11:03:38
Some gers fans need a reality check. Most if not all players from the EPL or the championship will be on high wages. I nor any journo truly know what we pay but I seriously doubt it could match Most of their current salaries. Cuellar may be the same or we may push the boat out for him however not for all of them. There are still bargains out there but Please stop this talk of bargain big name players between 1 and 3 million as their wages will cripple us. Beattie and Healy are not on peanuts, get real. Offer Wylde his potential worth and invest in the future.

alright ed , a know our squad ain't the best but was on talksport that McFadden dosent have a club , must be worth a punt having him on the bench , someone who can come on and change the game ? think throwing him on in the 70th minute would be excellent , also ally would know him from te Scotland setup ? injury prone yes but he can't be worse than Beattie eh ? {Ed032's Note - It would be a gamble yes. But he is sure to have many offers. Everton and Villa have both been linked. Can't see us beat them for him if we were to make an approach.}

Believable4 Unbelievable2

McFadden's wages will be massive and paying that for a potential "super sub" doesn't make sense financially. Good player when he's fit but he spends too much time in the treatment room for my liking. We look like we're going to have a small squad again this season so we can't afford to take a chance on someone as injury prone as McFadden.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcfadden's the most overated scottish player there is playing at the moment. France aside the national side does better without him.
Not a team player more interested in himself

Agree0 Disagree0

Asked him if he would ever go to rangers when he was at everton and he said f***ing no chance so a don't think that will happen. He was in the Hamilton mcdonalds with his everton tracksuit on up seeing his mum. That's the truth {Ed001's Note - back then I remember him telling a team mate, who is a family friend, that he would hate to play for either of the Old Firm. But that was a long time ago and right now he is without a team, he might well be willing to join one of the Old Firm now.}

i dont see all the fuss about greg wylde leaving the boy has only played half a season in 1st team yes he has potential but that is all i go to rangers games home and away every week and tbh i havnt seen what the fuss is about .yes hes quick and can beat a man but some of his crosses are a bit wayward at times . if he doesnt want to stay then let him leave he is just another silly boy who believes his own hype .money grabber instead of establishing himself as a 1st team player and earning his big move . i want players who want to play for rangers jersey not for the money i mean its reported hes on just under 1000 pw still not a bad wage for a young guy when there is people out there who dont have a job ...bigt

Believable9 Unbelievable6

Just alright i wouldn't mind being on 4grand a month to play for the team I've follow since a wee nipper

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair point but the boy is still young and i think he has great potential crossing isnt much of an issue because it is an area he can work on. as for the wage though i dont believe the boy wants to leave and if i was in his shows i would want more than 1000k a week going by todays rates .. he probably looks at whittaker as a high paid player and feels hugely underrated. give the boy a decent deal and keep him before we lose him and he turns into a right good player

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree but unfortunately this is the sign of the times.I would like to know who is advising these youth players, He only needs to look a Danny Wilson, touting himself about for a loan deal as he's no chance of being a 1st team regular.
Murray park is indeed working, It's the greedy attitude of young players nowadays that needs looking at.
There is only potential at this stage and if he wants to leave get a fee with sell on clauses built in, no player is bigger than Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is Ł1000 pw an increase on what he was getting last season?

Agree0 Disagree0

Wylde just wanted to be on 3k aweek on par with Ness and Hutton. He could earn twice that amount in the Championship. Not a bad back up player,so why don't we just pay up?

Agree0 Disagree0

All the fuss about frank mcavennie touting him around clubs is irrelevant.typical media stirring s**te,whats relevant is the fact that gers arent offering him enough cash.i agree with original poster that, yeah hes fast but apart from that ive not really seen much else from the lad.he will undoubtedly improve with age, experience etc. but if he wants to leave now, cheerio wee man.even kenny miller regrets leaving, shortly wylde will too when hes sitting around on wba's bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

Young boy he may be but when you see guys like edu who probably earn Ł10k a week or over it must be galling to earn 10%. I would probably be enclined to tie him in with the other young boys Ł3k a week I mean he will probably get that in lower leagues in england no prob the boy probably just wants to feel valued like anyone in there workplace. Don't think its alot for a first team player at ibrox whether us fans would play for Ł500 a week or not is not the point he will be getting advised from agents about his earning potential elsewhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree 100%. All this lad needs do is bide his time, put in a decent shift, build on his knowledge, prove his worth but more over, he needs to want that Rangers jersey. All to often we see people all caught up in there own self importance, point in case, (money grabber twiticker), no your right enough if he wants away then Ta ta, and get someone who has the desire and drive, and the ability to do what they are employed to do, play football for our club, not an unreasonable request I don’t think.

Away the bears, in the wee man we trust.
Its great being a bear.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree. Too many of these young players nowadays think they are better than they are. He's done nothing yet in his career. Frankie McBigot won't be touting him about England without Wylde knowing anything about it, so if he wants to go then let him go. Good luck to him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes if Greg Wylde thinks he is the finished article let him go he needs to improve crossing, positional play, defensive ability etc he has promise but won't be fulfilled if he is a baw heid 4/5grand seems a decent wage for a novice

Agree0 Disagree0

Give the boy a good contract .is it because he is'nt over 40 like grandad weir

Agree0 Disagree0

He should stay with rangers and develop, while being given games in the first team as a sub or as a starting player but he won't. He'll go down south for 5 times the money and never get a look in at a championship club who will have their own talent coming through. Sad to see, but in a few years we will all be thinking "remember that boy wylde, he looked like a player, what happened to him?".

Agree0 Disagree0

Wylde making a big mistake if he leaves.how did macavain get his claws into him, then again rangers should pay him a good wage and review at end of each season because he will improve

Agree0 Disagree0

If am being honest he is no big deal in my eyes he is to predictible meaning tunnel vision down the line and has no alternative to his game and has a poor right foot having said that think in time could be a decent squad player but he should be honored to play for rangers at his age and would be making a huge mistake going down south

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2011 10:16:10
if Rangers go down for 40m for this tax case, then it sets precedent and the whole of english football will be quaking in their boots. If our bill is 40m , can you imagine what some of theirs are ? How easily we forget, bears. Less than a year ago we had huge debts, key players running down their contracts and ibrox in a state of disrepair. I now believe there has been improvements made to the stadium, Davis and greegs signed up on long terms and we're trying to bring others in. Wallace looks a great buy, bougie was a liability waiting to happen. never really played a full season what with returning late (very) from international duty, suspension or injury so good riddance, you've heard what he said after he left. that says it all.
I think after the transfer window closes, we'll see hutton and ness come into the team fairly regularly. Naismith will probly drop to midfield, so in all honesty there's not a great amount of players to buy for the scottish league. We may rely on a decent loanee from premiership to provide the sparkle for this season, but overall we have a new owner, a new manager and some new players. It takes a bit of time to gel. Also, did u check out Goodwillies comments in the sun, says he was never coming here. If thats the case then the transfer saga was not as much of a disaster as we thought, heards the same about conway, that he was never coming. the sun and the record only want to sell papers so they string us all along with whatever s***e they can think of. Yesterday they both had the front page of the bailiffs?, no other paper had this on the front page ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dig your head out of the sand you fool. Why do you think mcgregor and co were signed up? for the good of the team... ha. no. They are on long term deals so that when the club go into administration clubs will have to offer a fair price for them as they are rangers biggest assets. This is why you are spending most of your money internally on the players you already have. Have you not wondered why you are paying whittaker and shagger Ł25k per week and can't offer ANY other of your transfer targets close to this? Same can be said with stadium redevelopment, its like getting ready to sell your house, you do it up so that potential buyers can see it in a nice light. Ellis is going to buy murray park when the club is forced to sell it. Only the most absolute bampot would believe that whyte is everything he says he is and that the clubs future is bright.

Agree0 Disagree0

The squads not strong enough mate a couple out injured and we r f***ed simple as that

Agree0 Disagree0

Regarding the tax case and the EPL teams.
Who do you think is paying for the best tax lawyers in the UK to make certain this situation goes away ?
Clue - it isn't just the Rangers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wake up and smell the coffee. I am a Celtic supporter but I have two season tickets for Ibrox for my wife and son. and it is yourself that is wearing blue tinted glasses if you think that there is nothing wrong at Ibrox. No money being spent, embarrassing offers being made for players and baliffs on the premises. Then you are wearing blinkers.
Mr Whyte has made sure that the players that are worth anything are on long term contracts so that when the tax man comes a calling he has some assets to trade off. And for those Rangers fans that think as a Celtic supporter I should not be on YOUR site I am putting Ł800-Ł900 into your club every season so I am entitled to my opinion.

Wee Eck.

Agree0 Disagree0

Same drivel... rangers are offering good wages to their seasoned players anf not to new players that arent tried and tested. i am sure any new players that settle well will be offered better deals. whyte is being cautious. newspapers in scotland sell with their headlines. few people actually read the facts and often the papers rarely print any facts ... only hearsay. i look forward to the end of the seaso. when all the east enders start blaming the sfa, society, scotland for their failings. bitter wasters... the lot of them

Agree0 Disagree0

2 season tickets don't cost Ł900 me and my dad tickets cost Ł450

Agree0 Disagree0

To the celtic supporter and previous post , do you think the tax man will give a toss if players are on a week or decade contract , if hell freezes over then Rangers go bust contracts will mean he-haw , away and buy a season ticket for partick thistle

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers for the replies to my original post bears (and celts). Thanks especially to the fella or lass who told me to get my head out the sand, who backed up my point. Yes they are on long term contracts so that if someone comes in for them, it has to be decent money, not 'here's 400k for your top goalscorer.
Also, i agree we need a couple of more players but i'm confident we'll get at least one of the defenders, we've pretty much got mackay and bedoya so a striker is about the only one i'd want. Cud be a left winger like murphy.
And to the celtic fans, i welcome you to our site...it's much more interesting than your own obviously. I myself, welcome the challenge with celtic. I don't hate them and i thought the friendly the other night was great, well done to the boy for donating the lot to charity.
Bazbear

Agree0 Disagree0

At Ł450 for two tickets that must be the cheap seats as you will find that two adult season ticketsfor the mainstand are approx Ł420 each. I think you might find that the way in which the club was purchased the players could be sold off to pay a proportion of monies owed.

Wee Eck.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you will find one of the posters has got it spot on more than just football clubs have a vested interest in this case being won ie Vodafone for one there liability is believed to be Ł6 billion not saying we will win case but it wont be for the lack of legal support

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy that put dig your head out the sand fool, your the fool, cos u cant admit to the fact your team has failed to win the league against a team thats been running on empty. mcgregor and davis r only on long term contracts cos they have proved to be too good for celtic and if we are in administration teams wont offer funny money to buy them, we will be forced to sell them to the first offer cos we will have no money to pay their huge wage u fool

Agree0 Disagree0

To the celtic season ticket holder and any other celtic fan on this page YOU hope whyte is full of it, you hope we go down the tube and you hope Mcgregor, davis and whittaker are sold cos maybe then you will win the league you sad lot. you couldnt win the league against a team that had to sell to any offers, could hardly fill a bench, sold their last 2 top scorers and couldnt offer long term contracts. now we can the futures whyte

Ed, do you think rangers could pick up a few bargains in spl, players with future sell on values to epl.
McGregor - StMirren
Hateley & Murphy - Motherwell
Davidson - StJohnstone
Allan & Russell - Dundee Utd
Hanlon - Hibs

Players that would not cost alot & could do a job instead of jonny foreigner {Ed032's Note - I don't see why not.}

Believable8 Unbelievable3

From that list i think we will get murphy and davidson before the window closes,

allan needs a year to prove himself at dufc but pick him up on a precontract as he only has a year left on his contract for next summer, but ipswich is also looking at him.

mcgregor sadly out for the year but would be a good shout next season, hope he recovers soon

russell wouldnt be cheap he is dufc's next great prospect, so they will be looking for the same value as they ad on goodie to sell him

Agree0 Disagree0

I would also put chris humphrey from well on there

Agree0 Disagree0

Just like to say something here, why are people looking to buy players in spl?? they might be decent enough to play in the spl but they have no experience in playing in europe

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather see us investing in young Scottish talent as well instead of paying over the odds for players towards the end of their careers... We should accept our position as a selling club and look to invest in players who could move down south after a few seasons with us... Id also add Templeton to that list

seen on bbc web that ''supposedly'' frank mc avennie has left mccoist raging as he is trying to find wylde an EPL club hope wylde can get decent pay wif gers and stay it would be huge loss to lose him and to see him on bench because of everything why must we play ortiz on the left wen we have wylde he is a good player and differences must be put aside for the sake of club glory cant have celtic win the league :(

Morning all, has Mckay signed? Or am I right in assuming we have not made a wildcard signing for the Europa qualifiers.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Mckay is allowed right untill a day before the first leg to sign plus its looking like his work permit will get rejected.

Looks like we could end up with a Goian-esque scenario with this one.

Do you think James McFadden could be useful ed? {Ed032's Note - 28 year old injury prone striker/winger who IMO is living on past glorys (especially for Scotland) He would be a gamble without a doubt.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Hes also a diehard selic fan mate {Ed032's Note - does it matter?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Brown was a diehard rangers supporter.

Over rated, over paid and injury prone. i think we should leave our friends across the city to have this 1
