have duff and phelps ever made a statement denouncing craig whyte yet

Believable15 Unbelievable19

D&P are not there to play the media role of tearing into former owners, they are there to conduct a legal, and professional administration. At the end of the day they have to answer to a court judge.

Agree1 Disagree3

I doubt very much Lord Hodge will assess they have conducted a legal and professional administration. And I predict that anyone who thinks otherwise is in for a big shock in the very near future.

Mark my words.

Hamish

Agree2 Disagree1

I am afraid you could be right Hamish D & P
and Whyte seem to have a history of their own, who knows where it could end. Something doesn't seem right,
Bobby

Agree2 Disagree0

Why would they denounce? Their senior partner was heavily involved in the dealings that put Craig Whyte in their so they can hardly now denounce him....?

Iain

Agree1 Disagree0

@3 exactly what i was getting at bobby

Agree1 Disagree0

The administrators job is to get the best deal for the creditors by selling assets for 5.5 mil can anyone agree with that

Agree2 Disagree1

While i agree 5.5m is seriously undervaluing the club, it was the only offer on the table so wot is best for the pot 5.5m or nothing? ah don't understand how they rejected the 8.2m offer from brian kennedy just before the green bid, it's all very strange

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think they are allowed to say anything as there is a criminal investigation ongoing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah don't understand how they rejected the 8.2m offer from brian kennedy just before the green bid, it's all very strange
-------------------------------------------

Maybe BK's bid was not believable.
Didn't have the money.
Lots of If's and maybe's.

Agree0 Disagree0

Duff and Phelps.......lol......denouncing Craig Whyte..........lol..........they're his own people.......lol.......lol........LOL........

Agree0 Disagree0

Is 5.5 really under valued or where you not as big as you thought you where ??

Agree0 Disagree0

They are all going for Dinner at Lawwell's house, so such statements may make dinner a little frosty!

Agree0 Disagree0

I must say that i agree with Charles Green's stance in this situation, at last we have someone who will stand up for our club, and by all accounts, their argument seems legally sound, The aquired the title history when purchasing the assets, simple as that, time for Lawell and his muppets to wind their neck in and concentrate on more important issues...ie; The SPL is a joke and badly needs sorting.
BR

Believable90 Unbelievable60

But the SPL has the right to strip titles if the panel finds Rangers guilty, whether you like it or not.

Agree3 Disagree3

Why what has lawell done BR.?

Agree0 Disagree6

Would that be the SPL that you are striving so desperately to get back to in consecutive seasons with all your outlandish signings for the 3rd division??

Agree1 Disagree7

Just came on to see what you lot were making of CG statement seems to me that alot of you so called diehard fans who were once calling CG a scam artist and were all not renewing season books and so on just a quick Q what has made you"s change your mind about him ?.

Agree1 Disagree4

^ why does it matter to you.away and support haha follow your own team.we are happy where we are and I can honestly say I dont look for any spl results also havnt seen scotsport since away last season some time and have no intention of watchimg it ....because my team aint in it so a dont care....something the rest of scottish teams fans should do- follow their own team instead of obbsessing over Rangers

Agree7 Disagree0

Simple answer to your question mate... Regardless of the owner of rangers football club, we are rangers fanz, always have been, always will be. Whether we are playing zenit in a european cup final, or travelling To brechin for the first round of the ramsden cup... We wil be there to follow our team. Whether we are captained by john greig or lee mcculloch, we will be there to support our team.

Charles green may not be our first choice in owner, but, we will back him all the way in our fight against the sfa/spl.

Rangers them, rangers now, rangers forever

Agree5 Disagree1

How is the SPL only a joke now and was never a joke when Rangers , Sevco, Newco or whatever you are called now where in it.

Agree1 Disagree6

^Well for one they have taken the stance on insolvent football clubs when all along the spl was trading while insolvent ie more debt than assets and no money to pay out its comittments and thats just for starters you could fill a book but you really arent looking for answers are you?your just here to try and score a point.

Agree3 Disagree0

The argument is not legally sound in fact it makes no legal sense. If the titles were won while breaking the rules then sanctions can be applied. It doesn't matter if there is now a new club or the club continues either way the case has to be heard and answered.

grout

Agree0 Disagree2

Whether Sevco are in the SPL or not makes no difference. There was a team in SPL which won SPL titles which may have been playing illegally registered players. If this is proven to be the case then one option is to strip those titles. Now whether those titles are stripped from a defunct team or a team currently playeing in SLF3 is beside the point. If the team was relegated, would that prevent sanctions being imposed for past indiscrections? I doubt it.
And this whole buying the assets, including the titles which Green came out with sounds awfully like the Lance Armstrong joke that was doing the rounds. If Tesco had bought Ibrox would they have been Scottish champions in the past?
Is Green honestly saying that a team which has never been in the SPL have won the SPL title a number of times.
Al

Agree1 Disagree2

When exactly did rangers play in a european cup final and the cup they did actually won is now defunct cant even remember if it ccw or inter toto,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree6

End of the day, what the dhims need to realise here is if we are stripped of any titles, you wont be receiving them. Too much hassle for the spl to work all that out. You might see it as a "victory", but you'll receive no extra cash or the titles. We will all know who still won those titles, and we will all never forget.

Agree2 Disagree0

I didnt realise that the uefa cup was not a european cup?

Agree4 Disagree0

Think youll find the european cup is also defunct its now the champions league

Agree2 Disagree0

Why do people still call Rangers Sevco? Do you realise how stupid you sound?

Sevco Scotland Ltd changed their name to The Rangers Football Club Ltd weeks ago now.

Agree4 Disagree0

At the above poster: it was 2008 you muppet. if you dont believe it, google it... your surely one of these people that hits the disagree button when someone states rangers drawn against motherwell... after its been on tv and is a fact. see your rock? back under please.

Agree2 Disagree0

To the teams and their supporters take heed the sphell is on its knees while rangers like the phoenix is rising north ayrshire loyal w.a.t.p.r.t.i.d

Agree1 Disagree0

And 1 that celtic won doesn't exist either

so whats ur point?

bil72

Agree1 Disagree0

I have to say i think CG makes some very valid points, namely. Other teams have used EBTs i.e. Juninho; so why are these clubs not subject to the same rules and comission the SPL seek to impose on RFC.
Why does the SPL not wnat to wait until the outcomes of the EBT tax tribunal, think about it , how stupid are they gpotentially going to look if the EBT tribunal rules in RFC favour for some of the ponts currently being judicated upon. I mean are they serioulsy going to say, we knew RFC where paying these players through EBT for 10 years because we had the accounts that showed this submitted every year, we know that this is not illeagal as the tax tribunal said they were not; but we are gong to impose retrospective santions and we are only going to impose it on one of our members and ignore the other; OMG how stupid will they look.
They also need to consider that RFC may turn round and say, "we were following your guidlines at the time that you accepted, and had you disapporved at the time we would of not done so, thus the maximum penalty can only be for one year.
Its akin to a someone robs a bank, he then goes into the police station and tells them he has robbed a bank, the police turn round and say thats ok, we see nothing wrong with that, its not ileagal. so he keeps doing it for 10 years. 12 years of doing it every year and indeed a couple of years after he stops it, the police say ok we were wrong. So what we are going to do is give you 5 years for every time you do it, so that 50 years in jail. No i think not.
Now whether the other supporters on the forum like or not, look past your hatered of RFC and ask yourself is this the actions of a Body with no agenda, their actions do not represent a balanced fair approach. And before anyone says, by all means if the EBT comes back wholly illegal, then the SPL should digest these findings, understand them , then only then open up a commision into EBTs, however this should be a commision in which all teams are subject to its scrutiny not only one team, this would be the fair and balanced approach ( unless you had an alteriative motive?)

Agree2 Disagree0

Lol the ignorance of Celtic fans is superb. Honestly there heids are that far up there own ar,es it's no surprise they are always talking Sh,te. Look the bottom line is the spl have no right to punish a team who is not a member of the spl see this is where the spl has become a joke it is full of egotistical muppets who care more about there own gains and position than they do about Scottish football. The amount of spl teams that have been pumped out the cup this season by lower league teams is a joke. The standard of football in the spl is dross and mark my words if they don't change sfl teams will pump them over and over. Why because coaches in the lower leagues are being encouraged to get there teams passing the ball about the ground unlike spl teams. That's why rangers are struggling away from home if the spl does not change these lower league teams will overtake them in ability if you can't see that then sorry you are part of the problem to

Agree2 Disagree0

To the above poster ure ed cleared up juninho ebt. It a non issue plus 1 player to you're 200 odd you just can't accept your club died.

Agree0 Disagree2

I can see why CG is taking the stance he is, I understand his frustration, if as evident the SPL/SFA knew two years ago about the looming issue with the EBT's not being legal then why did they not do something about it when the former RFC were in existence? I would suggest a weakness in authority that the can of worms open by them would have hit RFC alot harder and would have damaged the Scottish game to oblivion. Reading between the lines, CG is saying this is a NEW club, that has never played in the SPL so should face no further actions against it, which is true, he is having to balance all this to the masses to keep them turning up every week by denouncing the removal of titles and honors from the previous club RFC.
The point is TRFC are a new club and should face NO sactions or they are still RFC with history and honors and should face sanctions under that umbrella. CG should come out and say one way or the other and put this to bed.

Bill

Agree2 Disagree0

You've got to love the tinted specticals of Celtic Fans on this forum, it does not matter if it is one player with an EBT or thousands of players, if you are going to apply the rules it has to be to everyone, not selective, otherwise it can not be viewed as anything other than flawed and descrimitive.
I also think it is great that no one has put a valid arguement for why the EBT commision should investigate now rather than wait. Or anyone explain and justify the SPL seeking to restrospectively interperate theyre own rules differently. Lets face it, so far it is one nil to CG when it comes to verifying if the hearings the SPL rule upon are valid are invalid, and i suspect that if CG was to challenge in a court of law, and i suspect he would i do not fancy the SPL chances of defending its sanction of retrospectively stripping titles, if they have not applied the rules to all teams, and the fact they were complicit in the ratification of the annual accounts and players contracts.

Agree1 Disagree0

I havn,t watched scotsport either, why, because it hasn,t been on tv for years and you people call us dhims.

Agree0 Disagree1

The difference between yourselve's and Celtic regarding ebt's is that Celtic realised they boobed and paid the tax. Your team did not.
Tam

Agree0 Disagree1

By the way its the trophy thats called the european cup therefore not defunct, so come back when yous have won it,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree1

The Juninho thing has been done to death.PLEASE ed don't waste the site by dragging all that up again. Guys can we get back to talking about Rangers and football? This shot is boring now.

Agree1 Disagree0

The trophy is still called the European Cup; the competition is called the Champions League.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sevco have 5wee stars for domestic honours celtic have the big star for winning the biggest and most important trophy club football can bring,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

So 86 ebts over 10 years, dodging 49 million in tax in the process is the equivalent of Celtic having 1 for 4 months and paying the tax on it is it. Get a life and stop talikng gash. Your straw clutching is pathetic

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been announced Celtic have nothing to answer for regarding E.B.T s
Tam

Agree0 Disagree0

Juninho sorted. Green is talking crap again. Here it is ;
Rangers fc were a plc. Nothing existed outside of that. UEFA requires all member clubs to be incoporated and provide 3 yrs accounts to back that up. The business went bust. The assets were bought by a new company now called the rangers. They are not legally allowed to be called rangers. League titles are not tangible assets and cannot be bought and sold. They will appear nowhere on any of the company books. Football clubs aren't really clubs as they have no members. (in one sense of the word anyway). You are all customers of a business formed this year. All staff are employed by the business. There is no other separate entity outside of the business. mr. green knows all of this but has adopted a marketing policy promoting his business as a club. His statements on upcoming decisions on playing improperly registered players are disingenuous. The titles in question were awarded by the SPL under rules agreed by all members of the SPL. The SPL has every right to amend those awards if it is subsequently decided its rules were broken. Whyte and green. Alarm bells ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Fellow bears you will find the spl do have a say on old spl champioships as they are the ruling body anybody thinking otherwise is being silly

Agree0 Disagree0

As a rangers fan to be fair to celtic they went along with their investigation openly fair doos the thing with our old board it was cloak and dagger stuff i fear the worst with this ebt thing hope im wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Sep 2012 17:45:24
See Green has refused THe Rangers to attend EBT commission saying they have no control over us as we are not in the SPL. The issue is about our old club and titles would have thought he would have us represented and try and defend us from losing them. His arrogance shows he doesn't care about our history. He is only in this for one reason and that's money not for the club but for himself
Bobby

Believable88 Unbelievable82

Just seen that too says club has never been part of spl, was he not saying a few weeks ago that we are rangers always have been always will be! Yet now he's saying we've never been part of this spl? This geezer for real?
Stuart nic

Agree0 Disagree3

Hey bobby why dont you go on the gers website and read the full CG statement before putting the boot in to the man .
you may find that he did the complete opposite of what your post suggests. R/R

Agree4 Disagree0

I disagree I think it's about time someone stood up for our club against this shambles of an organisation they just make it up as they go, Trying to put the fly boot in wen we're down I think there's certain people across the city with to much influence in this

Agree3 Disagree0

I'm a bit worried by this, why would we need a deal regarding EBTs?

Green claimed that the SPL was previously willing to do a deal over the EBT claims to keep Rangers in the SPL, or playing in Division One, until the Scottish Football League clubs voted to place the club in Division Three.

Agree0 Disagree0

Read the full statement mate a suspect your mr.timmey ? Well done Charles at last we have someone to back us up and say what we all know is true

Agree2 Disagree0

If the issue is about the old club then that means the one in the 3rd division is a new club?

Agree0 Disagree2

Are you delusional? it clearly shows he does care about our history as hes refusing to let them take our titals and i agree 100 % with what he said

your too cynical sir its people like you that does more damage to our club than good

Agree2 Disagree0

Its hardly a case of putting the boot in when we're down, it's a case of punishing us for the thing which potentially put us where we are!

Lord Nelson

Agree0 Disagree2

Well done charles, the man has balls and is justified in what he is doing. This witch hunt by lawell and his SPL/SFL chums needs to end NOW!

Agree1 Disagree0

The ebt deal was with another bidder and not green .

Agree1 Disagree1

It is good to see green taking the zero tolerance to that joke of an spl/sfa who have folded everytime their
Establishment club from the east as instructed them to.

Agree2 Disagree0

Think Bobby is really Timmy "The Rangers?" not how i would refer to our club! Rangers!! Follow Follow.

Agree2 Disagree0

Read the statement - this was a board decision that Mr Green is implementing - Gers ain't owned by a single person that calls all the shots now - so stopping treating Mr Green as if he is a Whyte or a Murray as their positions are quite different

Agree1 Disagree0

He can say what he likes it wont make much difference although it might make him some money. The defence doesn't hold water. The SPL are quite within their rights to amend their own history and protect the integrity of their competition if RFC 1872 have been playing improperly registered players. They can strip the titles if they decide that is the appropriate sanction and Mr Green will be unable to resist this, I fear his comments are hyperbole

Grout

Agree0 Disagree1

Hyperbole lol. As has been stated there is no legal recourse for the actions. Green owns the titles and they cant take them away. It's a simple equation.

Agree1 Disagree0

Celtic fan here! and i know i will get heckled for saying this !but i am honestly confused about the old club new club scenario? green refuses to take sanctions for the old club as they are now a new club .... but insits in keeping all trophies and rights from the old club? i honestly dont care about the trophies or money but it just seems confusing ! slate me for saying this gers fans but you guys must wonder whats going on half the time.....remember the real people to blame are or used to be within the club but that has seemed to have faded from memory from some!! i wish it would all just stop.

Chalky bhoy!

Agree0 Disagree0

So according to the SPhell we are not Rangers when it withheld monies won for season2011/2012 but we are Rangers when it wants to strip titles.

Agree2 Disagree0

Having read the statement on the Rangers web site. I think CG is taking the correct stance.

Why would he or any officers of the new company attend a meeting about EBT's that were used by the old company several years before he bought the club?

Would attending the hearing implicate the new company in any way and make it liable to take further sanctions?

We now know that the new club had a carrot dangled (SPL or Div 1) in order to get them to accept the punishment for the old company. It could be said that the transfer embargo was a price of getting the SFA membership transferred.

It reeks from high heaven and shows that bigotry (maybe maybe not religious) drive this continued nonsense.

What will be gained? Can the prize money be recovered from a liquidated company. NO

Agree1 Disagree0

The titles can be stripped from the club because of the club's previous actions. Or the titles will be stripped from the previous club, which is not the same club as is in the 3rd division. Take your pick.

Agree0 Disagree0

Grout , double contracts?cfc had many a player on more than one contract so how do you suppose they punish rfc who published their ebt in accounts without punishing cfc who never included juninhio ebt in theirs-they came to an arrangement with hmrc but never declared ebt to sfa. People in glass houses.....

Agree1 Disagree0

I think green is making a big mistake in not representing the club. If there's no one there to fight our corner it makes the spl's task all the easier.

Agree0 Disagree0

Last poster. Which Celtic players were on dual contracts? Don't judge others by your own standards.

Agree0 Disagree1

I am all for punishing any club who break the rules. If Celtic played Juninho and he was improperly registered then every game he played in should be awarded to the opposition 3 0. The same rules should apply across the board so RFC 1872 should accept the same sanction for every game where they played improperly registered players. The outcome is inevitably the stripping of titles. for the poster who mentioned legal recourse, do you remember what happened the last time you went to court, Green et al had to eventually accept the transfer embargo. Football authorities will decide the football sanction, surely Mr Green would not be as reckless with the future of the club as the administrators were.

Grout

Agree0 Disagree0

Attending the panel only gives it legitimacy, so if you want to challenge in court later you don't attend

Agree2 Disagree0

Juninho juninho juninho 1 player,.,.kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

The Juninho contract was spotted right away by the new owners of Celtic and the SFA were notified and all taxes paid! There was no punishment as Celtic were honest apologetic and upfront about it..thats the difference! And shareholders told Green?I think you should know or i,ll give ye a link that shows he is the only shareholder lol

Agree0 Disagree1

Juninhio was only one player? so you only cheated once? however nakamura larrson and many others had two contracts one for football one for image rights amd before the hollier than thou mob say that doesnt count as english teams do that we are talking about scottish teams as english teams also used ebts if you want to use that argument.anyway its two contracts and they had others as well this is just the tip of the iceberg and all will be revealed when cfc are under the spotlight

Agree1 Disagree0

Celtic declared juninho had a dual contract at the agm.then they were told some time later it was against the rules they paid the outstanding taxes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Juninho ebt payment was his pay off when he left. he never played a game while receiving ebt. discuss

Agree0 Disagree0

As a rangers supporter it is good to see charles green make his stance against the sphell the sfa and the that run these org th

Agree1 Disagree0

Green is yet agin playing to a captive audiance. He is only saying what he thinks the fans want to hear, playing everyone like the "fools" he alreadty thinks we are. In his statement he makes clear it has nothing to do with THE Rangers.... which is clearly true as we have not won anything in the past.He and his consortuim bought Ibrox etc from Duff & Phelps they did not buy the titles they are still in process with our old club who are still to liquidated. At present even a blind man could tell that until the old club is officially closed only they and them alone can argue the case around EBT s issue.
This man is playing us all for mugs and its time to wake up and smell the "bul****".

Agree0 Disagree0

Is the Op actually a rangers fan I'm confused lol

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you talking about chalkyboy? Green has accepted punishment from the previous company which ran rangers football club.

1) he agreed to take an ILLEGAL transfer ban to appease the establishmebt.

2) he has paid footballing debts to other clubs in scotland.

All green has said here (and rightfuly so) is that the spl cannot issue a punishment to a club who is no longer within its league.

Agree1 Disagree0

Greens rhetoric and stance is so childish.

Playground politics.

Fans will eat it up.

Agree0 Disagree1

Green has not accepted any punishment. He accepted conditions of entry. The SFA were well within their right to ask Green to accept those conditions since Green believes that the club he is running is the same one which was responsible for non-payment of football debts and bringing the game into disrepute.
Al

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree'd to take illegal transfer ban to appease the establishment, where have you been the moon, he accepted the transfer embargo so that Rangers would still be in football. If your going to come on here and spout this rubbish think you should see a doctor.
Tam

Agree1 Disagree0

But SPL can impose a penalty (5 year ban) on a club, and it can be pending that club rejoining the SPL.

Go figure. IF Sevoc is not old rangers then no penalties and they can hand all trophies and honours back.

If they are old rangers they should accept penalties, or fight them in court. What will FIFA do if rangers go to court again!

Agree0 Disagree0

We will not be stripped of titles but we will be found guilty & fined between 10 & 20M to keep the near bankrupt spl functioning. Green is right if we dont join the spl we dont pay the fine & the spl goes down the administration liquidation route. All the spl want is our money the titles are a smoke screen the slower on the uptake of our support will see it as a victory the rest will be angry. Green has the spl sussed more power to him. WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

At above post you know this how. Are you part of the panel?

Agree0 Disagree0

GOOD NEWS BAD NEWS

New Rangers can't be stripped of titles they don't have - Old Rangers will be stripped of titles they won unfairly, New/Old Rangers will receive a hefty fine, Green's purchase of Old Rangers will be deemed illegal, Ally will either walk or be sacked, New Rangers will win the 3rd Division, during the close season it will come out New Rangers bought player they couldn't afford, New Rangers voted back into Div 3, Green sells New Rangers back to Whyte for a fiver, Whyte sells the club back to Minty for a tenner, Walter returns, Greig, Ally follow and they all live happily ever after.

Agree0 Disagree0

What sort (how many) contracts did Bellamy, Roy and Robbie Kean have. Also thomas gravesen, don't think Celtic would have afforded their wages without some help

quabba

Agree0 Disagree0

@quabba: but not EBTs. Celtic had an owner who could afford to help out.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Sep 2012 17:44:22
Just heard green on tv, I think he is playing a dangerous game ignoring the Spl. It can only get worse

Believable65 Unbelievable42

I just read the whole statement and i cant believe the contradictions, the misinterpretations and lies he comes out with. He's done well by the club in general, but everytime this man speaks out its just embarrassing. Its just a big steaming pile of sh*te.

And he's giving it "Rangers football club ceased to be and was ejected from the SPL" Why come out with that comment, giving THEM more ammunition.

He's under the impression that because last time the SPL tried sanctioning us, he took them to the courts and we won! But what happened next Charlie? We have just begun a transfer embargo!! What are you trying to achieve with some of these comments today? Is he daft enough to question the authorities again, take them to court and alert the attentions of UEFA again?

I cant see this ending well.

Listen theres a difference between fighting our corner, and making misguided decisions and statement like this.

Agree0 Disagree2

Why were an sfl club a supposed new club so let the spl go an talk to dm and cw an let us get on with it.

Agree1 Disagree0

Green is right to stand against spl we do not have a contract with them.can supporters not see the way lawell Thompson and Petrie are operating, contradictions are from spl who obviously had cloak and dagger discussions to put rangers in to div one backfired on them, rangers building up again attendances viewing figures for tv higher than other clubs, time for the other spl clubs to see what is happening and stand up for fairness

Agree1 Disagree0

Think you need to learn how to read mate! He acually said: The club ceased to be subject to the SPL's rules when it was ejected from its league.

Agree1 Disagree0

The Administrators of Rangers took the SFA to court not the SPL you muppet - have you been asleep for the last 6 months?

Agree1 Disagree0

Nice wan charles its guid tae see standing up to the sphell and their bacck stabbing cronnies i.e thomson petri lawell

Agree1 Disagree0

The SPL has no jurisdiction over the Newco Rangers and as such they cannot place any sanctions upon the Newco. Were the Newco Rangers retained within the SPL then it may be a slightly different case, the SFA can play a part in attempting to place sanctions but these would not be withheld in the Court of Law. They can place sanctions upon the Original Company but as that is due to be liquidated it would seem pretty pointless.

Simply put how can you punish a separate organisation for the alleged misdemeanors of another organisation?

Agree1 Disagree0

Simply put how can you punish......
---------------------------------------

Simply put how can you go into Admin..
Simply put how can you go into Liquidation...
Simply put how can you go out of the SPL...
Simply put how can you go into Level 4...

Alot easier than you obviously think.
Glad youre not in charge.

Agree0 Disagree1

I thought at the start of the season, Great we can get on with the football now.
Well , that was short.
Its going to get all so nasty again.
Football will take a back seat.

Pantomine season starts again.

Agree1 Disagree0

Oh I dunno. He's right that there is no connection between SPL and Rangers. As for the history, well, he says he bought it but is it really for sale or is it still subject to SPL's authority.

Am I the only one who is past caring about thhe history? It's what is happening now that's interesting - Rangers on the up and the SPL potentially imploding.

Agree1 Disagree0

How blind can you people be, sorry some of you people, why are you shouting about Petrie, Lawell and Thompson you all know who put Rangers where they are, and to use superally's word's to be HONEST i think Mr Green is leading you down the same path
Tam

Agree0 Disagree1

Errr Green did not take the spl/sfa to court it was duff & duffer

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes although it was duff & phelps taking SFA to court but Green, who had already agreed a deal to buy Rangers at that point, agreed to and presumably sanctioned the move. The SFA said it knew Green had "specific reasons to do what he did" but nobody seems to want to tell us those reasons.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some Gers fans heads are still in the sand.
There was dual contracts.
If not BBC and CH4 would have been sued to billyo. (pardon the Pun),
And that would have solved our money problems.
We will be punished by the SPL.
We will lose some past titles at least.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Sep 2012 00:52:33
Why is the flotation causing concern amongst so called fans, although I suspect many writing on here are not Rangers fans.
It seems to be them that are bringing the doubts about Green those that want Green to turn out to be another Whyte. Well Green is not another Whyte!
Green put his money on the table, Whyte did not.
Green has largely done what he said he would, Whyte
never did what he said.
Green could have gone already with a profit, at a time when we were in SPL, not div three.

Green took over and in my mind he never thought for one moment that we would end up in div three, he thought at worse it would be div one. But he is still here. He has attracted 35000 season ticket holders, and before we get the garbage about half price etc, which it's not, it should be less than SPL prices, but our season tickets are more expensive than other SPL clubs out with Celtic. He said he would do a share issue, which he will do, he is giving the chance for the fans to own the club. If mr green walks away with a healthy profit and Rangers are financially secure then I for one will wish him well and thank him for saving my club. The bunnet from the East end walked away with plenty, no problem there and yet we castigate a business man for wanting to make money. Get real.

I think Green will be seen in years to come as the saviour of our club, and if he makes a good profit, so be it.

Sure he has said some things that he maybe should not have, but there is one thing, he has told some home truths. It was bigotry that made these clubs put the boot in, perhaps not religious bigotry which our small narrow minded country thinks of immediately when bigotry is mentioned. The dictionary definition of bigotry is clear, "any opinion that differs from one's own".

I like him, I like the way he calls a spade a fu...... Shovel, I like his disdain for the authorities that have been shown up as unfit for purpose. I will buy shares, and I will buy them for my kids. I don't want a dividend, I don't want a profit, I want them to flourish and mean the same to generations as they meant to me when my dad first lifted me over the turnstiles.

I don't mind admitting that at the first home game of the season I had tears running down my face, because I thought I may not have a club to support. I do, thanks to Green.

Great post mate

Heartfelt statement. I hope he's the real deal. We have all had enough of clowns ruining the game. HH. Joe

A reasonably measured post. I agree, in that I'd like to see a share issue. I am a little disappointed that it took a carpetbagger like Green (et al.) to get us to this stage (Blue Knights, my ass). I am also concerned that the 'share issue' will merely give us non-voting shares (or some 1-10 split), so we will just throw money at them and they will still own the club. If it's not that, then I will invest for sure.

Is that you Mr Green?? Lol am a tim and fair play to him for wot he's achieved but he's still not answered the most serious questions.....who are the backers? How is he financing the running of the club?? What is his consortiums medium to long term strategy?? I never was one that wanted gers dead an buried and still maintain that however in my opinion the jurys still out bout green and his secret merry men. I think gers fans should be getting answers before ploughing more money in just like a couple of previous chancers I can think of...

Agree with you wholeheartedly, well said mate.

Well said mate.

Do you know what mate that could be just about the best post ive seen on here, i actually think he has done a bit more with the caliber of player he has brought in.

Green has largely done what he said he would,
Thats the bit I would worry about due to the fact that in one of his very first statements he promised honesty and transparancy. He has bent the truth more than once has failed to deliver some claims he made. Hmmm jury is still out for me

@ the OP

Well done that Man i think you have just summed up the thoughts of the vast majority of Rangers Fans you will probably get the usual Stalkers like Stevo, Binman etc coming on and slating your post with Sh**e about sevco (who ever they may be) its been a long time since i have seen and felt the sense unity there appears to be at Ibrox long may it continue.

once again fantastic post

note to Eds is there anyway you can start a new page for this mysterious club called SEVCO maybe SEVCO RUMOURS because we are all getting fed up with the Septic fans coming onto the Rangers Rumours pages venting their hatred towards this mystery club they seem to hate this Sevco more than they hate Rangers which is very difficult to comprehend.

Agree with some of what you say but how are we supposed to put our total trust in somebody who says things like he'd got the nod from HMRC that a CVA would be accepted.

I said at the time that Green must have known a CVA had no chance of being accepted and just because he speaks out against Regan and Doncaster doesn't mean a thing. He's only doing that to get fans onside - which seemingly worked.

Sorry but just too many inconsistences in what he says (billionaires etc) for me to put any of my money into any flotation at this moment in time.

Nothing wrong with showing a bit of emotion, mate. That's what football is all about.
WRT Charles Green,if he keeps his promises and rebuilds the club, who cares if he makes a few bob?.
What I will do,however,is urge a note of caution.CG may indeed be the saviour we needed. Then again,he may not.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely he is only giving you a chance to own shares in the company? Cos we all now know only companies can be liquidated clubs cannot.

Agree0 Disagree0

What is said about charles green is true he is a true saviour of rangers corby loyal w.a.t.p r.t.i.d

The old rangers are gone , green is selling a newco , not the same club as the oldco

Great post sir i salute you.....les

Big 'anonymous' comment.

Wonder why.

Agree0 Disagree0

Green hasn't put a penny of his own money into Sevco, he's levied a loan of £8.5M against the club to be repaid in 2020.

Agree1 Disagree0

You would think the penny would have drooped!! Green didn't save anything, his CVA which would have saved the club was REJECTED!
He bought the stadium and training ground under the guise of Sevco and proceeded to form a club called The Rangers.

Agree1 Disagree0

Do you think the 26,000 shareholders in Rangers1872 wanted profits or dividends ?
Or the 6,000 debenture holders?
See if you speak to these supporters of Rangers1872 (in liquidation) they tend to take a slightly different view to that of your idiotic self.

You make a few good points and seem to have bought in to a few of Charles Green's PR exercises. I would love to invest but I am struggling to figure out why we need to raise capital through shares at this stage in the process. What will we use the money for? We can't buy players for the next 2 windows, we have no debt to service and no investment is required in training facilities etc. Is this money required to run the club and if so what happened to all the investment up till now?

Jimbo Dell

Agree1 Disagree0

You will be buying shares in a new company for the benefit of investors. how do those who had shares before feel now and who's to say that won't happen again?

Agree1 Disagree0

Only companies can be liquidated ??BDO move in this month so watch and learn!

Correct and why is it being floated on a "less regulated" exchange. Bears woould be nuts to part with thier cash for this BS offer!

Agree0 Disagree0

Op here, I appreciate your comments in large. Let me point out that all debenture holders are still debenture holders.
To those that state Green said the CVA would be accepted are not telling the whole story. He said he believed it would be accepted, a big difference and frankly if his bid for a CVA was not accepted, none of the others would have been, he had the highest offer.

I have just read Green's statement regarding EBT commission. Good on you, exactly what should be done and said.
No More !

Agree0 Disagree0

If debenture holders are still debenture holders why don't they have their seats or a refund?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said...Lets back him,we had so called Rangers men running our club into the ground for years. If it takes a so called outsider to be the saviour of our club then so be it.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am extremely concerned at the timing of any share issue. It should take place st some point after 3-5 years of submitting audited and signed off healthy accounts to companies house. We were sevco Scotland ltd only weeks ago and sevco5088 ltd weeks before that. We haven't even traded a full year and submitted accounts for fans/ investors to scrutinise to ascertain probability of profitable returns.

=======
After been duped by past chairmen SDM , CW and the directors, Rangers fans are having trust issues.

Is it that hard to understand?
