Riordan to sign before week end FACT!

Mushy.

Believable2 Unbelievable20

Riordan signing for killie, played in a bounce game for them against us.

Agree9 Disagree0

Sign for kilmarnock. played against us in reserve game. it says on the rangers website hes looking for a contract at killie

Agree9 Disagree0

He's signing for killie til end of season

Agree8 Disagree0

Mushy - do you know what a fact is?

Of course I do, it means- somethin someone has heard from other ppl. Duuh! I'm not stoopid.

Ther was a lot of arguing about guerra rumours earlier, particularly from celtic fkn fans. Av not noticed it mentioned so I will.. The guerra news is on the gers official website so ther has got to be an element of truth in it or it would never have been posted on the site.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

An element of truth about what? ally likes him n thats that! heard this kinda talk b4

Agree6 Disagree1

Gonny read what it says then on the website

ally was asked a question by the press he never came out and said i want to buy that player

JG

Agree3 Disagree3

Wish we wouldnt air our transfer dealings in public. we did that in summer with cuellar, juhasz, danns, vaughan, verhoek, conway, goodwillie, miller, hemed...... and guess what, we got none of them. its embarrassing, i wish we would learn from our past mishaps and keep our dealings under wraps until it is in the bag. It is embarrassing to be honest.

Agree12 Disagree1

I read what it said aye. And I said the RUMOUR is on the website, an element of truth in that! Unlike most posts on this page. Maybe youse should be paying more attention to what I said before slaten me for not paying attention! C,mob fellow gets fans expected better from yous.

Dt89

Agree0 Disagree1

Ps.. Last comment about ou transfers, a completely agree

Dt89

Agree1 Disagree1

Think yous should read the post again, all it said Is the rumour is on rfc website, so it's not complete rubbish. Got a cheek to say read things right when you have failed to read the post right. And yes we should keep quiet about targets I said that myself on this page.

Agree1 Disagree1

The 3rd person that wrote under this rumours has the right idea and knows what he is talking about

Agree0 Disagree1

Rangers might actually get this Guerra guy from Valladolid. The majority shareholder of the club has just filed for bankrupcy and they need cash badly . . So maybe not as far fetched as people on here are thinking !!

Believable7 Unbelievable3

What a lot of lies, where'd ye see this then??

Agree2 Disagree3

Bbc website

Agree3 Disagree1

Its on the BBC news website under the scottish premier section Don't be so quick to quash other rumours u sad little person. . . Oh an just incase u are too inept to find it, its under the headline McCoist eyes Valladolid's Guerra.

Agree1 Disagree0

Fair enough, but they will want the 2m valuation

Agree0 Disagree0

As much as I would like to beleave this, it's the efin BBC. Jurno's are rubbish in Scotland. Fingers are crossed though.

Agree2 Disagree1

I feel for valladolid. there in an even worse position than we are and its no different than the prem teams offering us pennies for jelavic because of our financial toils. as much as id love to see this guy here i think its morally wrong to sign him for pennies because of their trouble. 500k and ortiz is an awful offer, they want 2 mil, give them 1 mill and ortiz or something. i hope we get him for a fair price, that way both clubs benefit.

Agree1 Disagree2

Giving them ortiz in along with any amount of money is moraly wrong

Agree3 Disagree0

... f*** being moral!! Football isnt about being moral, why would ye buy a house for 1 million when the owner could accept it for half of that. Its the same wae anything, i dont care who they are or what their financial situation is, they are in a bad way and we could benefit from that from getting a good player (maybe?) on the cheap. End of story

MacIntyre1991

Celtic are linked with Jelavic's former team mate Hamdi Salihi adviable for £500k. Why don't we try to sign him? Instead of this 29 year old Spanish striker of £2.5m

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Cos if Celtic want him Rangers don't have a hope in hell of getting him

Agree6 Disagree2

He was not jelevic's team mate, he was brought in as a replacement for jelavic.

Agree0 Disagree1

Too the last poster he was a team mate of jelavic and it was jelavic who set him up for a goal against celtic in uefa cup game

Agree3 Disagree0

When Jela is sold why not get both of them, there will still be money to sign a creative midfielder - a position that also needs to be filled.

A highly respected member of the admin team at Rangersmedia is saying... Craig Whyte is leaving us and is going to sell to Jim McColl who is going to settle the tax case. Why didnt McColl buy from Murray? Well the story is that Murray refused to sell as he does not like McColl, as McColl would go elsewhere for steel for his business than buy steel from Murray and this did not go down with Murray. Basically Whyte has been holding the fort in the interim until McColl comes riding to the rescue and it could be as early as the end of this month.

This guy has been spot on with his info in the past.

Believable8 Unbelievable14

So Murray was happy to accept £1 from Whyte when there was an opportunity to get morw from McColl. Don't think so.

Agree7 Disagree3

Interesting stuff. I heard that Douglas park was in the frame too after tax case settled. This may not be total drivel, I hope and pray as whyte is t going to take us forward as a club

Agree3 Disagree2

Why the hell would anyone, let alone a businessman buy a company with at least £18m debt (£50m according to jellyfish) and a possible £40m tax bill, then the mysterious £10m black hole. a company that has mortgaged its catering division and sold the jerseys (literally)??

this guy would need to put in around £150m just be on a level footing

it makes no sense, thats why the real money men didnt show any interest, and that's why you now have an asset stripper 'running' the show

Agree5 Disagree5

Aye but he might have trouble buying shares right now...

nice story love the happy ending, but lets be real its never going to happen.

mccoll stated in march that that he had no interest in any personal financial involvement in rangers.

Agree4 Disagree2

BULL just BULL

Agree4 Disagree3

Not going to lie i heard this from a mate who goes to rangers games every week and he said it is doubtful but anything could happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Jim McColl.....could buy Rangers, pay our debt, then just use it as a play thing.....even 150m would be penny's to him, and he is a massive bluenose.....before you slag off....google him and see what he's worth, and what he's all about.

Agree3 Disagree3

This is why were going into admin or worse still liquidation.the debt is now unmanagable and needs to be re-structured top to bottom.to many ppl thinking its gonna be allright.its not look at the numbers.this is why jella, greegs, whittaker n davis were offered more money, sell on value is linked to contract length n wages

Agree4 Disagree3

How much does whyte personally lose if rangers enter admin? isnt he gauranteed all his 18 MILLION he invested or loaned to rangers?if rangers lose the tax case and enter admin would they become debt free? if so maybe 1 of the names mentioned above might be intrested... maybe whyte could make a profit from his £1 purchase.... maybe that was the plan all along ....maybe he is there as a asset stripper or guy who dosnt mind doing the dirrty work, as long as he makes money , he was there to take the s**t for some1 else then sell for a handsome profit.... wishful think

Agree2 Disagree0

Well why didnt mccoll just buy initially?no him n murray dont get on nonsense plz, murray would have sold to dermot desmond at the end! sick of these "bluenose" millionaires coming out the woodwork where were they for years?

Agree3 Disagree2

I don't buy into all this.Whyte is a business man no way he would take over if he thought he'd lose money. Whyte would have looked over all finances before buying Rangers thats probably why it took him so long to buy the club. For a club thats totally skint why are we being linked with 2.5m players and bought Jelavic for 4m? Although ive never heard of anyone beating the taxman but i think there will be a serious reduction to money owed to HMRC

Agree3 Disagree3

This board is full of mhanky panicking tims. Thats the elephant in the room for them, they secretly dread the thought that someone is going to wade in with real money.
Ive said it before laugh all you want, if we end up in administration you can have your 3 months of gloating, but be very mindfull of what might come behind it. A debt free Rangers with real money behind it.

Agree2 Disagree5

Lol!!

i can assure you, us Celtic fans are positively pi55ing ourselves laughing at this charade of a club.......no-one has a clue, from the shyte knight right down to the knuckle draggers :D

.....pure COMEDY GOLD!!!

Agree4 Disagree1

Dont see how its pure comedy gold to the above post its been said many times before no one knows whats going to happen so lets just wait and see and get behind our teams its going to be close the season so lets enjoy it and in due course we will see what hapens

Wullie

Agree0 Disagree2

Goggle him WHY OH WHY didnt SDM goggle craig whyte before concluding the( £32 m according to the scottish media) £1 deal

Agree1 Disagree1

Does nobody remember arsenals 2-300 million tax debt about 10-15 years ago? they settled at 10mil. we owe (worst case scenario) 50mil tops. think we could settle for 10mil somehow! i just wish whyte would settle pay the 10mil or whatever it could be and get us out of this, its killing the fans with the worry, yeah he might win and only have to pay a bit, but i know id rather pay 10mil or so and kill off the worry.

rangers scouts are down south tonight scouting out jamie vardy of fleetwood town.
scored 18 goals this season already including one against blackpool in their fa cup tie.
source, STV news.

sad days ahead of us if we are scouting confrence league players.

phoenix7928

Believable8 Unbelievable3

Not Necessarily, although he's a septic player, hooper is a good player and he was non-league not too long ago !

Agree8 Disagree3

He just scored as well

Agree4 Disagree3

He might struggle to get a game in front
of Boyd, Novo, Riordan Sandaza and O Connor! pmsl

Agree3 Disagree4

The lad is a hot prospect, remember Rhodes is now touted as the next big thing, the players have to start somewhere,we dont produce them at Murray Park do we? Our scouts should be looking as these type of players, young, hungry, and talented,i want the best young players to go to Rangers,i dont care what league they play in,show me a good player,nd you have a good player.

Agree2 Disagree3

Looks the part as you say but fleetwood have already turned down a million bid from Blackpool so can't see us going to a bidding war with clubs haven't got the money

Agree3 Disagree3

They turned down 1m last week n celtics been on to him from start of novenber

Agree3 Disagree2

There is a few teams looking at him ..i dont get this he only plays in lower leagues attitude every player starts somewhere then moves on to make a name for themselves ...even messi started out at a small club ....bigt

Agree0 Disagree3

STV did say a host of scouts were looking at him so he can't be that bad. Hooper and smalling were both spotted at non league so worth a look.

CJM

Agree2 Disagree2

We dont have the money to compete
even at Fleetwoods financial level at the
moment, pity cos he just scored again.

Agree2 Disagree2

Trouble is that Fleetwood have rejected a £750k offer from Blackpool following their game against them (matter of public record). If Rangers can't afford £300k for Sandaza why are scouts wasting their time looking at a player that would cost in excess of £750k.

Agree2 Disagree2

They turned down a 75,000 bid from Blackpool, dont get carried away,no million bid made,Fleetwood have quoted that as a price.Fact.I Live in sunny Blackpool, plenty gossip about Vardy, would be a good buy, plenty about him, pacy, good goals record, problem is,lots of clubs are aware of him now.

Agree1 Disagree1

Why is us scouting a young player a bad idea? It doesn't matter what league your in. If you have the potential to be great then where you start ur career doesn't matter.

Another good young low lge player is ryan Rowe of Stourbridge. Reminds me of hooper play wise and looks.

Fraser

Agree1 Disagree1

Young Vardy price gone up,scored twice tonight.

Agree2 Disagree2

Young jones at man utd is a good example he will be a top player in a couple of years and where did he come from?

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

1 mill plus for Vardy is Fleetwoods evaluation, Rangers cant even afford 3ook for Sandaza, and could not afford Boyds wages of 25k week even though they could have him for free, get it into your skulls, Rangers are Skint, No Money, they have to Sell before they can Buy

Agree2 Disagree3

Talking about good young players, from not big leagues. How about we look at Stuart Dallas from Crusaders. He can play attacking midfield and on the wing. And has been N.I player off the year. And just broke into the NI international team earning his first cap.Along with Jordan Owens there striker,he is 22.Could fill in for Lafferty,he is a big guy to.Who cares were we find players.I care we should bring through more Glasgow boys. The streets used to be full off them.I also support Scotland to,and now I am in here asking for us to look at Northen Irish guys. And Finnish players cos we cant afford the top drawer talents any more.Ally

The big fella,Javi Guerra looks the business, both feet good, skillful, good in the air, reminds me of big Hateley in his heyday.

Believable4 Unbelievable6

We are not signing this guy.

Agree7 Disagree2

Think were scraping the bottom of the barrel lads, wot happened to the boy donnelly from airdrie?

Agree2 Disagree2

Buying from airdrie is scraping the barrel mate-no?

Agree3 Disagree1

Guerra has a good first touch, pace and can finish but why is he not playing in La Liga.

Agree6 Disagree2

Plenty of good players in Spains second division mate,no shame in that, the guy looks the part, you have a choice,Oconner,or senor Guerra,i rest my case,i just dont think we can afford him,but he can play,no question.

Agree1 Disagree2

Nice to see Ally keeping his cards close to his chest again, do us a favour just find a target quietly negotiate then announce when deal is complete, getting tired of all the cheap talk.

Agree5 Disagree0

Ortiz was a stand out for 2 seasons in a league above the one Guerra is playing, in as a Right Back, what is Ally going to do with Guerra play him as sweeper ?

Ed.. any truth in swap deal with matt mckay and ross mcormack.seen this on a few sites but you might be able to shine some light on it or not {Ed014's Note - NO.}

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Mckay and Bedoya scored in a bounce game today, I agree we need a new striker and a new att midfielder but give these two a chance

Kenny

Agree10 Disagree3

No chance McCormack would come back to Rangers, only one team he would play for in Scotland now and thats celtic, he and all his family are ceptic daft, only went to Rangers as no other offers for him when he started out, wouldnt want him back either, lets move on.

Agree6 Disagree2

He did well when he came on against arsenal last night and unlucky not to score

Genuine post don't know if it's old or new news.
O Conner defo off to rangers. rangers chased him up right before Xmas but court case was the problem but still want him don't know price/wages

Source his agents brother inlaw (Martin Reilly Lennon old agent)

If rangers sell jelavic would rangers fans be happy with o Conner,Boyd & sandaza ? We be a good cheap business ?

Lenny

Believable3 Unbelievable13

Rangers are wanting a striker but are waiting because of a court case lol..have we no been here before lol watp./biggles

Agree3 Disagree2

Well he's in court for using a class A drug at the start of feb ?

Lenny

Agree1 Disagree1

Would take Sandazza, but if O'Conner comes, its over and out for me, i'll not be back....the guy is a thug, and is ''never'' out of trouble, and apart from that, he's pure p***.....if anyone disagree's, don't just click the disagree button.....let everyone know what you think O'Conner would bring to the table.

Agree7 Disagree6

I think he would score goals with the supply from aluko davis lafferty (when fit) he is a proven goalscorer with hibs and come one the dont have as good quality as we do and he still scores goals for them so i think he is a decent player i would take him

Agree1 Disagree2

O Connor would be a really good signing, i would take him everyday of the week before Sandaza who doesnt have the mental strength to step up to our level. O Connor although not a GOOD BOY, everyone deserves a second chance and i would defo give him that second chance

Agree2 Disagree1

Look mate, my mum is best pals with Goodwillies mum. Goodwillie was 100% signing for Rangers, who he supported as a kid, in the last summer transfer window.

Until a player is bought and we have him under contract he is not a Rangers player

we aint getting 300k for sandaza so how can we aford 2million pound for this spanish boy and he is 29 so not much sell on value

Believable6 Unbelievable1

We ain't buying that Spanish guy, the same paper reported e davids was signing for dundee in his prime never bought it since, how can u take a paper seriously again after that?

Agree6 Disagree2

He is 27

Agree0 Disagree8

How do you know we aint getting 300k? who are you?

Agree2 Disagree1

Need to sell jelavic first

Agree3 Disagree4

My bad he is 29 sorry bud

Agree2 Disagree1

He is 29. sandaza is 27

Agree3 Disagree1

Even if we do sell jelavic we would be better wa sum 1 a bit younger if wee had the cash we would stop mucking about an get sandaza on board he will score goals we need backup just now

Agree0 Disagree1

We don't have 300k to give St Johnston, Lomas can cry all he wants about us trying to unsettle him, we are well within our rights to try to get the player without having to pay a penny.

think that avb (chelsea) were to bid 8m for jelavic and offer josh mceachran on loan for the rest of the season this would be good.

chiz

Believable5 Unbelievable11

Mcechran has gone on loan to swansea city

Agree9 Disagree1

I'd happily take Lukaka on loan lol won't happen but one can dream...

Agree9 Disagree1

Why would Chelsea want Jelavic?

Agree4 Disagree3

AVB has now stated that he cannot loan us anyone this transfer window. He offered in summer but ally did not want the people he offered at that time.

Agree2 Disagree1

AVB hinted at his interest today in an interview with TalkSport

Agree3 Disagree1

Because Torres has been a real find for them, 50m reasons why AVB would want Jela

why dont we try and get alexander hleb on loan from barcelona? they dont want him and he is training with bundesliga new boys augsburg but is unlikely to sign with them. could be a smashing player for us if barca would let us pay 10% of his wages lol watp!

Believable13 Unbelievable8

His wages will still be really high?

www.talksport.co.uk/sports-news/football/premier-league/transfer-rumours/1451/23/villas-boas-hints-chelsea-move-rangers-star

Believable6 Unbelievable9

Ok. Where exactly does it say he is going to bid? In fact, where exactly did he hint that he would make a bid?
He hinted at nothing, he merely praised Jelavic and said he could be a big star at the right club.

Which means he's not a star and he's at the wrong club.

Stephen Whittker out for 6 weeks Sky Sports News 16:45

Believable11 Unbelievable6

That's a relief then. Broadfoots better at right back anyway

Agree9 Disagree15

Your joking clubfoot ? he is the worst player in the team , fact he is the worst defender ever in a rangers shirt

Agree11 Disagree13

Brpadfoot costs us ever time he plays .get rid

Agree10 Disagree10

Let me look back, yes every time Broadfoot plays he costs us goals which in turn men's we drop points, that's right he is a better right back, right back to the end of the line for playing!

Agree9 Disagree6

Dont get me wrong im not broadfoots biggest fan and if we can get money for him in Jan id take it but Wittaker has been shocking during rangers slump in form and cost far more goals than broadfoot. Total confidence player. On his day he can beat sporting lisbon defenders with his "snake hips" but goes through really bad patches. even more so when we give him a bumper pay rise and 5 year contract. Id like to see McMillan get a wee run personally and see what hes got

Agree4 Disagree3

Broadfoot is not that good, but a better defender than Whittaker. by a country mile in fact.

Agree4 Disagree3

I agree. mcmillan is 23 so he has to get a shot at first tea football now. i've nt seen anything to suggest he doesnt deserve a chance. can't be much worse than broadfoot

Agree4 Disagree0

Jordan mcmillan is my second cousin. hes desperately wants to stay at rangers, his family including his dad are die-hard bluenoses, but his career comes first, and he wants regular first team football. He mentioned to me last time i was in glasgow for a family funeral that he and mccoist had had a very verbal exchanging of words, but that some things were said from jordan to mccoist which were out of line. Have not spoken to him since as i live down south and that was back in november. He is a great player and a leader, only problem is he's hot headed and is very rash in the challenge. But maybe that extra bite is needed in the team.

heard a wee rumour last night that we could be signing a boy called donnelly from airdrie, crackin player great finisher, only problem is huddersfield interested to!

Believable6 Unbelievable9

How is that a problem?

Agree4 Disagree7

Soz mate can only see him goin to celtic tho.rumour is lennons gonna pay n let airdrie keep him till end of season as hes a bit light

Agree5 Disagree4

Cos we usually lose out on our targets to some small english club

Agree8 Disagree1

Cause they have money, you dont,no accounts ,delisted from stocks dear oh dear the end is nigh ,the taxman cometh

Agree6 Disagree8

Another timmy tax expert above. Very little point in rangers trading shares as Mr Whyte owns 85 per cent of the club.

CJM

Agree7 Disagree2

Whats with all the celtic fans on this page gloating about our problems... if i remeber correctly they have been slagging us off the past 3 seasons in a row at this stage of the season about how we are in mega trouble, yet we still won the title 3 years on the trot... so what i will say to you lot is shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Agree13 Disagree3

To last post shut it and concentrate on your own team, i suppose its only fitting if you win the league when we are at our lowest point, and the only reason lets face it, is that we lost naisy for the season thats when our form dipped and we have been rotten from that point so go and boil yer dome pal.

Agree10 Disagree1

@CJM

Has it occurred to you that now CW has total control of your club and can do anything he wants with it regardless of what the 15% minority shareholders say?

CW can actually start (if he hasn't already) adding 'phantom' debts to the club so that when he pulls the plug he will have a bumper payout.

There will be no signed off accounts and no AGM.

Agree4 Disagree4

As a celtic fan we welcome the case.

Agree6 Disagree2

Well said sir !
remember what Alistair Johnson said before he got black balled ?

Agree4 Disagree1

If whyte doesn't see the point of trading shares why was the first thing he done when taking over rangers was to list them to make more money?? now they been de-listed he comes out with a line saying "we don't need to trade" and you all swallow it!!

Agree2 Disagree3

They were listed when he bought them you complete tool, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to buy them in the first place and he didn't re-list them they were already listed until Monday - if your going to post, get your facts in order.

ALLY McCOIST has stated that he wants to open up talks with both Sone Aluko and Sasa Papac on new Ibrox deals.

Aluko is on short-term deal until the end of the season with a view to a two-year agreement while Papac is also signed until the end of the campaign.

McCoist told the January edition of Rangers Monthly: "Out-with the current climate and the situation we are in, I would have to say both Sasa Papac and Sone Aluko deserve new contracts. Of that there is no doubt.

"Sone has been a breath of fresh air. Sasa had a couple of periods out with illness but he is so solid. He has performed very well in all of his years at the club.

"He can play a few positions - i.e. centre back and in midfield as well as left back.

"So I would say that both Sone and Sasa are two players we're keen to hold onto.

"Of late Sasa and Lee Wallace have formed a good understanding and relationship on the left side because both of them can play left back or one forward.

"I think Lee in the last few games has played really well and it looks as though he is settling in now and enjoying it."

Blue bells are blue

Believable12 Unbelievable3

Agree 100%, i think Lee Wallace is settling down well and becoming a really important player in the rangers first team, just hope ally gets papac and aluko on new deals and expands the squad if given the funds to do so

WATP

Agree13 Disagree1

Didn't rate Wallace at all, especially being played in MF but thought he was fantastic last week. For a defender, he was exceptional down the left wing.

Agree7 Disagree6

Im sure Papac said this would be his last season before returning home to finish is career :(

There will be no money and no players so stop dreaming we are potless

heard from a good source templeton to rangers but only if mad vlad drops his price.knowing whyte he'll offer about 10 bob for him. ps he is a celtic fan. ( i really dont get this he's a boyhood fan p*sh. it doesn't matter)

Believable6 Unbelievable9

No chance ever

Agree7 Disagree2

Ps who cares what team he supports, plenty of celtic fans have played for us and plenty of rangers fans have played for THEM, its people like u make a big deal out of it

Agree6 Disagree1

I agree it doesn't matter who they support! However if both sides of the old firm are in for you, then I no what side I would choose, yep you guessed it the one I support rangers, so if templton is a tim then 100% he will go there!! *ksd*

Agree3 Disagree1

For example. Scott Brown was a rangers fan

Agree4 Disagree2

Mcgeouch and wylde both played for rangers and celtic respectively in youth teams when they wre younger. It doesnt matter which team you support, just as long as you earn money and play for the club you are at.

Agree1 Disagree2

Has scott brown still got his rangers tattoo on his leg

Agree6 Disagree2

A we talking about David Cooper Templton sounds like a septic supporter right enough. {Ed014's Note - Is this nonsense still going on?

Neil mccann was a tim fan turned out not bad for us

Agree3 Disagree0

Wallace is turning into a superb player

Agree3 Disagree3

Wallace will get done for pace against any top winger with pace, he's decent but too slow, just watch closely

Agree0 Disagree2

He was excellent against the very pacy Mathews of Celtic, it was a good contest between the two, infact I think him and Mathews were the two best players on show at parkhead,

Reports today claimed that Spanish striker Javi Guerra is being lined up in a possible £2m deal from Real Vallodolid should Nikica Jelavic be sold in this window.

But SportTimes understands that he is not being heavily pursued as a potential replacement for the Croat, although he is a player the manager is aware of.

Meanwhile ally wants to sit down both sasa papac and soni aluko to discuss offering the pair new contracts.(evening times)

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Wasent a fan of Papac at 1st but what a player he has been for us defo would love to see him stay for annother year at last soom good news

Agree11 Disagree1

U cant find 300k for sandaza but white is going 2 bid 2 mill for a spanish player yeh ok then lol

Agree7 Disagree2

Rangers pay 2 mill lol 100k mybe its not that long ago u asked aluko 2 pay for his own move wake up

Agree5 Disagree2

Rangers wont sign any1 unless players leave first

Aw well maybe we're not as skint as youse think after all!
Maybe yees should just shut up seen as youse clearly have no idea about finances at rangers but like to talk like u do.

Does anyone think that we will actually make contact with Kris Boyd? I would take him back. he is good for a goal in games like St Mirren away etc where we have dropped points.

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Boyd has been very quiet on twitter lately and it seems to be since he has benn getting asked when he will be signing for the Gers. maybe im just reading to much into this lol maybe hes just been busy

Bet we don't get Guerra, watch this space Cardiff will announce they are interested, beginning to feel we are their pimp.

Believable15 Unbelievable3

More lies we ain't spending 2 million for any players

Agree13 Disagree8

Here we go, whyte will bid £100k plus ten empty ginger bottles

Agree10 Disagree5

If there is someone out there that we can make money on just as we are about to do with jelavic then am sure they will fork it out but we need to be certain that there is a profit to be made. Jelavic was good business at a time we had no money under Murray but he forked out 3.5 million on jelavic purely coz it was banked money and that's the avenue we need to start going down not these cheap squad players like ortiz, bedoya and mckay.

Agree2 Disagree1

We have done well lately in making a really good profit on players ie boumsong, cuellar, hutton and big bougy

Agree2 Disagree3

The same Bougherra that Rangers sold for £1.7m after buying him for £2.5m?

Agree6 Disagree2

We made no profit in the Bougherra transfer

Agree7 Disagree1

Think we lost money on Bougy and the rest of that money has been spent!.

CJM

Agree4 Disagree2

Rangers need young fresh talent bring them on as players then cash in on them like celtic could do with there players just now makes good business sense

Agree4 Disagree1

There is something of a myth about selling on here guys.say 3.5m for jella,+2 years wages say 2m thats 5.5m total package.a club pays 6m n jella's due 10% which is 600k leaving us with 5.4m. 100k loss over the contract term

Agree2 Disagree1

Above makes no sense you would have had to pay someone anyway - so wages don't count

Dannager4life

Agree2 Disagree1

Yes but we are paying for his service and he has been worth every penny we have paid him with around 30 goals in 45 games. So take that figure off. Jela doesn't get 10% as it isn't in his contract. So we make a profit of around £3.5m (assuming we get the £7m touted)

Agree0 Disagree1

How can people disagree with the fact that Rangers lost money on Bougherra?!

Riordan will play for kilmarnock on trial today.

Believable13 Unbelievable3

I would take a punt on Deek, good wee player

Deek is good, yes, but greedy and selfish; not exactly what you'd call a team player - hence the reason he hasn't been selected to play for the national team.

ehhhhh yes they can, its whether or not they want to spend 300k on someone they can get for hee haw in the summer

Agree4 Disagree1

Well if you can get him for nothing in the summer then wait if not pay the money the club asking for! that like whyte who is asking for £10 mill for jelavic will sell him to QPR for £5.5 mill cause thats all they will offer! typical of the gers though not willing to put money back into scottish football!!

Rangers ready to swoop for £2million-rated Valladolid striker Javi Guerra

RANGERS manager Ally McCoist is ready to splash his entire transfer budget on a prolific Spanish striker.

But it won’t be Francisco Sandaza after it emerged Real Valladolid’s £2million-rated Javi Guerra is the hitman McCoist wants.

And sources close to Valladolid insisted McCoist is determined to persuade Rangers owner Craig Whyte that cash must be found to land Guerra.

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Thank god ppl are not treating this seriously.dont be fooled bears this is spin n nonsense.alouko pays his own way, wont pay 300k to get a player early n massive tax case on the horizon.i think we may be witnessing ally playing hardball with whyte tho, making sure he does see some jellavic money if he goes.

Agree6 Disagree1

I think it is too early to judge mr whyte, and although i doubt he is the right person to be controlling the club i love we all know there is is only one man to blame for the mess our great club is in. every rangers fan can see(even the dilussional ones) that this rangers squad needs completely overhauled cause the standard of players we have and are being linked with has become rather embarassing!

Agree1 Disagree3

Put it this way then, why are you all blaming whyte when he clearly knew himself that we were in debt through SIR david murray, there is obviously something Mr whyte knows that we don't know so a think everybody should keep their mouths shut until after the case there is not really anythin else Whyte can do, tell me this the supporters who do nothin but critisise everything about our own club, would YOU put millions of money into anythin that is due a case that could cost 45 million I wouldn't cos that means he's lost money, but you all seem to forget, whyte is a rangers fan himself! he may make a profit and sell on but somethin tells me he might not do it with us cos its a dream come true in a way for him. so lay off him and the rest ofRANGERS and f*****g SUPPORT our team. Heres an idea evry fan that's concerned, why don't yous organise somethin like a rangers fundraiser or along those lines to show some gratitude and to help you all that's concerned to think yous are doing something about it! help them out instead of thinkin that rangers will go to the gutter! (loyalbear)

Agree5 Disagree6

Well said loyal bear i for 1 dont care for whytes past not that i dont care for the bears but at the end of the day his past should stay there we all have done things wrong or made it go things go t1ts up or been seen with the wrong folk but why hang the guy for it? another point how long has he been here 6/7 months max IMO its too early to be judgin him lets just see what happens and enoy the football

wullie

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers wullie, i completely agree with you, but IMO he must have money there cos for 1 he paid for repairs to ibrox, 2 apparently he cleard an 18mill debt and 3 he got davis, mcGregor, lafferty new contracts and now edu, naismith, whittaker, papac and aluko are nearly on their way in getting new contracts also, so when you add all that up, their must be a few mill there or maybe just under, so IMO he does have money to spend but he doesn't right now until the outcome of the tax case.(loyal bear)

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jan 2012 09:03:36
Is someone at rangers taking the p... Were after a£2 million pound striker fae Spains
1st division
we had to get aluko, agent and family to pay his transfer from Aberdeen and can't find the money for sandaza but we have to believe in this trype someone at rangers are taking all of us as f*nny,s.

Believable12 Unbelievable11

Completely inaccurate comment. Rangers just refused to pay money they didn't have to. Aluko payed it to keep the piece. We do have money, we also just have a dodgy tax case which is why we have to be resourceful fa mate calm down.

Agree6 Disagree11

To the poster that vsays calm down!!
can you give us a good reason to be as calm as u think we should be? ( i'am calm).
becuase the poster before you explains why some uncalmness might be the order of the day, whereas you only tell us to be calm as things dont seem to be as bad as 99% of us know it is (note i left u 1%).
I have said on here before we aint gonna sign anyone of any real calibre.
also i would like to know if rangers change name and lose all their history will all ellow bears still follow them, i ask this as i have always said i would as rangers till i die comes to mind, but if rangers die then i dont think i could follow follow, which makes me hope we find a solution but i'am not holding my breath.

Agree9 Disagree4

Rangers are in catch 22 - they cannot be seen to be splashing money around while the tax issue is bubbling away - but the longer this goes on - the worse its going to get I'm afraid

Aluko did not pay this, Rangers did.

Rangers are supposedly going to sign David tempelton from hearts! And johnny Russell from Dundee united!

Believable2 Unbelievable20

With what ginger bottles!!

Agree12 Disagree5

A big chance of templeton but both r Celtic fans. The other lot have made there interest in templeton known. If it's a choice then he'll def go there. I know johnny Russell well and he is as big a tic fan as it gets. He wld not join rangers. Not as good as goodwillie........

Agree3 Disagree5

Crap, nae money, utter rubbish both tic supporters, are they sitting waiting for the mhanky mob to sign them,i wish people would stop putting rubbish on here about being tic supporters when they aint got a clue.....trueblue.....

Agree5 Disagree1

There are too many diddies on here who think who you supported rules the transfer process....wake up, it's who pays the poppy that rules FFS

Agree6 Disagree3

I imagine that United would be looking to receive around £1M for Russell-mania. Given Rangers' reluctance to put up £ for players like Goodwillie and Conway, I very much doubt that they will now reverse the trend and spend on Russell. Moreover, he still has a year-and-a-helf on his current contract which United are looking to extend in the close season by a further year - so I think that we can put that one to bed for the time being.

Agree4 Disagree1

Russell will not extend his contract as he's goin to celtic in summer.dundee utd know this

I agree with the above poster, the spanish second division is just as good or is BETTER than the championship(english). have you actually seen the guy play? he can really score goals and by the looks of it he really knows where the goal is he would put STROKES and POOFTER to shame lol. 2mill sounds like a bargain with this guy, don't get me wrong he is 29 but he's still plays as if he's 21 , only problem is do we REALLY have the money? Believable11 Unbelievable10
