well further to what I said about shares changing hands I know for a fact that at least I of the blu knights has hired a stockbroker to buy as many shares as they can get for 20pthey basically bided there time to get club for the right sort of money which I would hope this would put an end to the spectre of administration

One big problem after you aquire 30% of the shares under stock market rules you have to bid for the other 70%, and you have to pay the highest share price of the past 12 months. So 90m shares (I think ) in the club and 60m+would need to be bought at 70p +so£45m

Thats right but there is more than I blue knight although they made a joint bid they are all wealthy enough in there own right and wouldd not buy shares jointly but in their own behalf I think its apositive step in getting totally rid of what u could only call hoodlums from south of the border

Why are you back talking about the blue knights? They had there chance when your club was available for 5 million when green bought it? Did they not pay for a period of exclusiveness? To see the books and stuff? What makes you think they want to buy the club at inflated prices now? Was listening to Alex Rae last night on radio and he and Richard gough are trying to see if it is viable for a fans ownership like at hearts! This would appear to be a better way forward. No mater who comes in, or whatever way the club goes forward the fans will be asked to dig deep and cough up more money! At least their way the fans will own something I. e the Albion, a stake in Murray park or some of Ibrox. Not just handing money over to the next so called rangers men to swindle away!

Mullad - your not quite right there, at the AGM we were told there were 65m shares issued not 90M
and if any group buys starts buying shares now and can reach the magic 30% number within three months, then it would be the max price in those three months would be the minimum mandatory offer. remember one thing though, shareholders do not have to accept the offer

JG

Cheers JG but was there not something about shares held back, ones we thought the Spivs would buy up if they thought they were going to be beat at the AGM

Alex Rae wasn't talking about fan ownership they are looking at collating numerous shares bought by fans to be put under the one name and a selected trusted person to represent the fans on the board problem is finding somebody to trust?

The reason I think the blue knights never bought club at the start they did not want to have to on all the players that existed with wages and contracts thatwere in place they would reckon if they went in and got rid of the players of the existing squad they would have been lambasted by all and sundry they strategy I think has allways been to take club over at some stage before they got back to s p l this would have been afar better deal rather than going in at the start they probably knew a bit about green @ co so basically they are now trying to pick up the club as going concern well on the way to returning to top flight in scottish football basically they let green do the spadework knowing he was only in for the quick buck and they would try to takeover aftergreen had gone that makes sense to me
