just read on football-rumours that verhoek (spelling) maybe goign to blackpool as his club have accepted a bid from him. anyone got any truth in this? {Ed047's Note - no. He states he's wanting to stay in Holland so unless he's changed his mind again he'll be staying where he is.

Believable4 Unbelievable11

Kinda thought that myself but it has also been posted on blackpool rumours page. seemingly he supported them while watching them on tv last season.

A deal has been secured between HMRC and Rangers over the unpaid tax bill, said to total £2.8m.

Sky Sports News.

McLee

Believable12 Unbelievable5

A bet we offer them 2 million in installments plus broadfoot which a wudny mind : )

Agree0 Disagree0

This is a seperate tax bill, not the big one which is heading our way.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've been watching Sky Sports News and just checked the Web and can't see anything about this Do you have a link or are you talking guff?

Agree0 Disagree0

Finally, a deal secured at the first attempt. Biggest transfer of funds so far. Long may the spending continue... But for some players please

Agree0 Disagree0

It was definitely on there about 20 minutes ago. I had to rewind it to make sure.

McLee

Agree0 Disagree0

They have agreed no to HMRC to discuss this 2.8 million and will happily pay it if HMRC drop there 1.4 million penalty for the clubs failure to pay the tax bill on previous warnings .

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is Her Majesty RC getting this precise figure of 2.8m? Any one know where those calculations come from?

Agree0 Disagree0

What if we gave them edu & whittaker do you think that would cover it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does this mean its all over?

Agree0 Disagree0

No, its far from over. The £2.8m is a completely separate issue. The main tax bill is derived from the club employing an EBT scheme during the 90's in a bid to avoid paying tax on player's wages and transfer fees. The amount of the bill has been disputed and is reported to be anywhere between £20-£60 million. The first tier tribunal began in May and was deffered to November. Be under no illusions this is a monumental case for the club and to highlight this an offer from rangers was made to HMRC in early 2010 to settle there and then. The offer was £11m. HMRC laughed and told them "we'll see you in court". This could shed light on why Whyte has tied his biggest assets up on long term deals so when the poo hits the fan clubs will have to pay top dollar for the assets which would need to be offloaded as rangers/whyte can not nor will not pay the huge fine.

Agree0 Disagree0

The EBT scheme had its first reading at court in April and (should) have a final reading towards the end of the year, pending on the result IE if its goes against put your mortage on a appeal going in

Was in Perth this affternoon and met Murray Davidson in a cafe. Desperately wants to join the Bears and expects a deal will be struck between the clubs by Friday

Believable1 Unbelievable28

Think most football players would keep their cards close to there chest, and would not tell strangers where they want to play.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's mediocre, and no better than what's there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said I was a stranger? I'm in Perth regularly through work and usually go to the same place for my lunch. I've spoken to him and a few Saints players in the cafe a number of times

Agree0 Disagree0

Good luck speaking to him again now that you've blabbed his business all over the Net

Agree0 Disagree0

What cafe is this then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Now I've blabbed his business? Isn't that what most people do on here? If he wanted to keep it secret he wouldn't have been talking in a busy cafe.
And for you asking me what cafe it is, trying to catch me out I assume? It's called Coco's near Lower Mill St (I think) at the traffic lights. Ring a bell?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok. I work in a bank and have football players in all the time and know they would never discuss there transfers. If I am wrong fair enough, but there is some amount of liers taking the pi5s on the page.

Agree0 Disagree0

I live in perth and im interested in what cafe this is?

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't you read all the replies? I already said, Coco's. If you live in Perth, you'll know it.
To the guy who works in a bank. Don't you think there's a world of a difference between you doing business transactions in your suit and me sitting having a sanny and coffee and having a relaxed conversation with a guy I've spoke to numerous times in here?

Agree0 Disagree0

Let's hope not he's mince ness and Hutton are better prospects we shouldn't be spending money on squad players

Agree0 Disagree0

We all know he's not very classy or as skilful as players already on the team, however, he is young and has plenty time to learn how to improve his game. He has already been called up to the national squad and at Rangers, he will get the chance to learn from the best coaches and players around him. Also, we can get him on the cheap now before he really turns on his game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only slate players that I have seen and this is probably the worst signing in the history of Rangers football club. As well selling the land at Murray Park and building flats there goes the bragging rites on Raphael Schiedt. Got a game for QUEENS PARK AND they punted him FACT

Agree0 Disagree0

I live in perth and have never heard of coco's cafe

Agree0 Disagree0

I stay in Perth and the cafe the boy is on about is over from sportsters next to willie hills and yes that's where all the saints players go. Also mccoist was seen in Perth today his sister stay in Perth he also was seen with mcinnes davidson will sign on Friday. Perth true blues

I stated on here two weeks ago that rangers were closing in on an Australian international and was laughed off, I can now confirm there s going to be a slovakian joining not Weiss, he currently plays in France with a club willing to o a part exchange this is truth

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Part exchange for who...

Agree0 Disagree0

Who does he play for as cannae find any slovaks at french clubs lol

Agree0 Disagree0

No current slovakian internationals play in france mate just checked their last squad and its lists their current club, none in france. not sayin your lying, if it is true he wasnt in their last/latest squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Think it might be a SLOVENIAN..? Cos', saw someone earlier saying Edu going to Auxerre. Valter Birsa is a Slovenian playing for Auxerre (well, last time I looked he was) and he is awesome. Naturally a winger, but can play up top also. Was great at the World Cup last year, had a lot of interest in him, but nothing seemed to materialised. I know this is just guess work here, but a deal like this would be amazing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Only guy that fits this bill would be Robert Vitek, Striker who was with Lille but went out on loan in the last half of the season but he is Free Agent and wouldnt involve any swap. Unless of course you are talking about Mr Sebo ????

Agree0 Disagree0

Birsa signed a four year contract with Serie A team Genoa in Jan/Feb this year

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfort, Birsa signed for Genoa at the start of the year. But yeah he was with Auxerre. And Sebo has gone to Slovan Bratislava I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Also saw rumours on here previously linking us with Valter Birsa, think he would be a great signing, versatile and talented

Agree0 Disagree0

So is he Slovakian or Slovenian then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Slovakian--the guys a quality striker ,him and Jela would be a nightmare to play against {Ed032's Note - Who?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Vittek -slovakian - quality striker ex lille {Ed032's Note - vittek is currently a free agent and a part exchange would not be necessary.}

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Aug 2011 21:01:05
Edu on his way to auxerre.

Believable4 Unbelievable13

I hope so hes a humpty

Agree0 Disagree0

Edu not that bad thought he played well at right back, better than 20k a week whittaker what a joke

Agree0 Disagree0

Give the guy a break, how do you expect him to perform with p****s like you giving him s**t every week

Names left on Allys list are as follows

HITZELSPERGER
LE FONDRE
MBOKANI (LOAN FROM MONACO)
MCKAY
ANTONY ANNAN ( 2.2 MILLION ROSENBORG )
ALTIDORE
TUNCAY
VAN WOLFSWINKLE
GRELLA

Believable5 Unbelievable28

MBOKANI (LOAN FROM MONACO)
ALTIDORE

both signed for other clubs so lieeeees

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha altidores just signed with az, never get annan and tuncays off to bolton, be honest mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Annan joined shalke, Altidore joined Az alkmaar and van Wolfswinkle joine Lisbon I think

Monk

Agree0 Disagree0

HITZELSPERGER - no chance u cant afford his wages
MCKAY - not worried at all about him
ANTONY ANNAN ( 2.2 MILLION ROSENBORG ) - again wages lol
ALTIDORE - hasnt he already went to a dutch team ?TUNCAY - in talks with bolton
daviebhoy08
VAN WOLFSWINKLE
GRELLA

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know?Did you help him write it down?Don't talk carp mate

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you find his list?

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this his Xmas list to Santa

Agree0 Disagree0

Ally phoned this guy and told him his signings targets obviously. (Clicks Believe)

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to sign Hitzlsperger - The New Hammer but I doubt we could afford his wages

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of van wolfswinkel going to rangers he just signed for sporting lisbon in june in a 5.4 million euros deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well folks if this is his list then were fuc*ed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks to me like Ally should be making a list of plausible targets, rather than going through every player in Europe and making a list of the ones Rangers can't sign. Presumably McKay is clerical error or this is the Thursday deadline list.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wolfswinkel just moved to Sporting CP, on a 5 year deal for 5.4m

2 seconds research, give it a go.

Agree0 Disagree0

Daviebhoy had a look at ur team I'm not worried about any of them, even with the squad we've got. Now izaggire is out yer defence is in tatters, ur big baldy idiot is a bomb scare and has no pace, and ur goalkeeper situation well pot kettle calling us skint lmao

lovenkrands back training with rangers but training on his own until he finds another club. He would prefer another premership team though. source ssn

Believable7 Unbelievable14

He,s still with Newcastle so why would he be training alone at rangers Dippy??

Agree0 Disagree0

Scored some unforgettable goals but he was too hot and cold. FACT. wouldn't want him now well past his prime and probably even more inconsistant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well thats a blatant lie as ssn right now is gillette soccer special and its only about the international games, no domestic news. also nothing on sky sports website. better luck next time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry it was actually on bbc sport website. newcastle have let him go dippy, he is using murray park facilities so go chek it out, google it if you dont believe me

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont have to lie about it, there was an interview done with his agent and its his agent giving all the details. it doesnt mean he will be signing for rangers he is just using gers as a stop gap until he knows where he is going next
{Ed047's Note - I stand to be corrected but did a serach of BBC website and nothing came up

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't find this supposed interview anywhere on the net except one from 2009 saying exactly what you're saying

Agree0 Disagree0

murphy goin 2 stoke

Believable6 Unbelievable13

I hope not This boy is a fantastic player and would hit the ground running at Ibrox.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm surprised out ma nut

Agree0 Disagree0

They are getting crouch

Nah he is goin to us

Stoke Rugby Club normally look for players who are at least 6ft2

Lovenkrands murphy davidson benayoune in by end of week...word is mcgregor (stmirren)would be too but out now for a year.....

Believable5 Unbelievable18

Word is youre full of BS no doubt none of these will happen, you have read all the recent rumours and thought who will be realistic and went for the 4 you named

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love to see Lovenkrands ,Whittaker and Lafferty in the same team - they would be constantly running into each other - it would be like a Three Stooges movie.

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres been folk coming in 'by end of week' since the middle of june mate. I'll believe it when I see it.

Agree0 Disagree0

WOW cynical bunch of girls ain't ye

Josh Mcchreachan fom chelsea on laon. Granto

Believable6 Unbelievable14

He is a really good young player but i'd much rather use the young players we have in centre mid (Ness, Hutton). These youngsters deserve a chance. What message are we sending out if we have to raid other clubs young players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why? better than ness? hutton? Didn't think so.

Agree0 Disagree0

The people who don't think he's as good as Ness or Hutton are mental, he's a lot better player than them

Just read on a Hearts rumour page that Broadfoot and Beattie linked to Hearts as part of a Templeton deal Ad be deeelighted with that RTID WATP

Believable12 Unbelievable18

No chance. Would love that to happen though.

Agree0 Disagree0

No one has ever had a rumour right on this site keep takeing the pills u dont get it were skint money talks bull s---- walks the banger

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a hope of that happening. Was it you that posted it on the hearts site?

Agree0 Disagree0

No a never posted it on the hearts page thought this was a rumours page personally i like the crazy rumours that get banded about why the neg comments when someone posts a rumour if no-one gets the rumours right ,so what you dont have to read the page lighten up guys WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Templeton will never sign for rangers, he's a die hard celtic fan.

Drew

Agree0 Disagree0

"part of a Templeton deal " - Have they re-opened the old Carpet Factory ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't believe this for a second but I wouldn't complain.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers that was me last nite *ksd*

Agree0 Disagree0

Woudnt complain if they just took club foot and beattie

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love that to be true but doubt it

Agree0 Disagree0

Beattie is on 20 K a week are u missing something

Give beattie away be charitable hes a useless c*nt

McKay Signed in time for Caley Game and a £2.5mill Bid for Yohan Benaloune , Letting Wylde go is a Mistake.NB

Believable11 Unbelievable12

Interested on yohan a year ago and i cant find anything saying that mckay has officially signed

Agree0 Disagree0

Is wylde leaving ..?.?they should review these young guys wages on yearly basis gies them more of an incentive to improve keeps them on toes

Agree0 Disagree0

Where's the info on wylde coming from?

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said Rangers are letting wylde go?

Agree0 Disagree0

I fear for gers we r in the s**t big time

Agree0 Disagree0

Wlyde is going to Dunfermline better wages on offer

Agree0 Disagree0

Wylde is terrible player, get rid of him, who is he to demand higher wages after playing about 10 games. He has no skill , can't dribble and his deliverly is shocking But gets away with it cause he young n Scottish, Mccoist clearly doesn't like him as not featured at hope, I can only hope this continues

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope they do let wylde go young player should not be holding club to ransom

Agree0 Disagree0

If Wylde leaves Gers for Dunfermline for money its a joke... i agree, he shouldnt be holding gers to ransom, but we can surely match dunfermline and he is the only left winger we have... also i suspect ally doesnt rate him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think this benaloune lad is worth 2.5 mil... made 15 appearances for a lower table italian team. Maybe 1mil?

Agree0 Disagree0

All wylde has is the fact he's young and scottish and came through the ranks at Ibrox. That automatically makes people want to like him. Aside from pace to burn he's mince and not worth demanding ex-amount of wages. Just shows how ruined football is through ridiculous money that a kid will hold one of the biggest names in football to ransom over a grand a week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Watching Mackay against Wales, looks like a bargain ,him and Davis would be awesome together WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be the next charlie adam?

BBC Sport's Chris McLaughlin on Twitter: "Sheriff officers have been at Ibrox today as #Rangers tax dispute continues. Club willing to pay bill of £2.8m but dispute penalty of £1.4m."

Believable14 Unbelievable6

Peter could do us a turn ,,would not be the worse signing we have ever made,,and he loves the gers

Agree0 Disagree0

This is a nightmare.....

Agree0 Disagree0

HMRC have never won a Trust Case

Agree0 Disagree0

This sort of business shouldnae be in public domain.gossip gossip....that's why craig whyte plays his cards close to chest

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not a trust case , its the final amount The HMRC want.....

Agree0 Disagree0

It is a trust case, money was but into a off shore trust for a number of players and at least two managers, A ex Rangers manager accountant asked if he could claim interest on a default payment that was made by Rangers. Hearts also done it with two players and celtic done it with one, but both teams after a while stopped the off shore trust and paid the tax.

Just heard on local radio (Radio Newcastle)
that Lovenkrands is set to re-join Glasgow
Rangers. Mutual agreement to terminate
contract due to personal
reasons... don't understand, why would
he not go home to Denmark if it were
"personal reasons" ?

this is from the main page

Believable14 Unbelievable12

His burds Scottish?

Agree0 Disagree0

Because his wife is Scottish...

Agree0 Disagree0

LovenKranks partner is from Glasgow - from govan and he has a house in Torrance, so maybe she is homesick. Would take Lovenkrands back specially for the games against Celtic where he has a habit of scoring...
Mightboy...

Agree0 Disagree0

Because he lives in scotland and his wife is scotish.

Agree0 Disagree0

We could do worse, scored some great goals for the bears, knows what it means to wear the blue of rangers,i for one would welcome him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Because his wife is Scottish and his home is near east kilbride that's why its 'personal' pennyboy

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so he always did great against the manky mob.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wot was it bikergrove local radio station

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm working in Newcasle right now, been listening to Radio Newcastle all afternoon and never heard a thing about Lovenkrands. Think of another rumour to make up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing on ssn or rangers website or radio newcastle website

Agree0 Disagree0

Personal reasons normally suggests his wife and children are not happy in Newcastle and he met his girlfriend at rangers so it could be plausible. However he still hasnt learned to cross a ball since he left rangers so if he does come i hope its to play through the middle and not on the wing (id rather someone else to be honest)

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been on radio newcastle website nothing on it so u just making fool of yourself

Agree0 Disagree0

Apart from his goals against celtic lovenkrands was mince he done nothin for over a yr then started playing good when his contract was running out a hink cos we have missed out on players people on here are clutching at straws about us getting old average players back am annoyed about the lack of players anaw but there's still a good bit a time before the window shuts so any chance a geein the made up stories a by? Cheers WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

Lovenkrands' wife is Scottish, plus both of them are rangers fans and all his wifes side lives here too. So maybe something to do with that.

Agree0 Disagree0

His wife is scottish m8

**** RANGERS SET TO SWOOP FOR SNODGRASS ****

Apparently we've been keeping tabs on him for a while and with the Verhoek deal now all but over it seems we're about to make a move.

Supported Celtic as a boy but early indications are he'd be delighted to pull on that famous Blue jersey.

Mon The Snoddy.

Believable8 Unbelievable15

Doubt it. They want £5m+ for him..

Agree0 Disagree0

Massive Celtic fan.....don't want him

Agree0 Disagree0

So, we might get Snodgrass? (Maybe...) If we do then we could have had Snodgrass and Goodwillie in the same team. Any other daft names that could join us? Any good footballing Smellies out there?

Agree0 Disagree0

rollocks, Leeds turned down 4M for him in January.....
Keep making up the stories, if nothing else they're worth a laugh.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you got a spare 5mill? I don't think so. The Old Firm are penny pinching once again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wake up and smell the coffee they were looking for over 4 million a couple of weeks ago. Or are Rangers going to bid 400k and see if they don't notice the other zero is missing. No chance.
Wee Eck.

Agree0 Disagree0

How are we going to pay 5 - 6 mill for snodgrass wen we couldna get goodie or the winger or the anderlecht boy think about it ya numpty

Agree0 Disagree0

Rubbish i know snoddy personally no way would he join us fact

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont be stupid.A.he,d never sign for rangers.B.rangers cannot afford him.C.get real

Agree0 Disagree0

He would never join rangers , his family would disown him....

Agree0 Disagree0

Celtic daft absolutely no chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers daft as a boy know his dad but not the quality that we are needing

Young goalkeeper just been recalled from loan at forfar could we be ready to see alexander used in a swap deal??

Believable4 Unbelievable7

Its cos of an injury Scott Gallagher.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nope Scott Gallacher's injured, so we need cover, simples

Agree0 Disagree0

This is only because 3rd choice keeper gallacher has got injured

Agree0 Disagree0

Read the article on the official site and then you would stop speculating s**te

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh get real man, are you the Liverpool stalker per chance ? 'Cause his post was g@sh too........... lights off on yer way oot

Agree0 Disagree0

No, he was recalled because Gallacher got injured. Stop wasting everyone's time

rangers to sign murphy from well and als
also getting loan player from chelsea

also looking at scott macdonald

Believable6 Unbelievable18

Better not be lookin at Scott mcdonald...

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow must be true cause we allways talk to the manager of the mega store before we buy or sell people

Agree0 Disagree0

I wrote that yesterday about mcdonald but never seen anybody else write it , i thought i was the only person that heard it lol

Agree0 Disagree0

We tried to buy him years ago before he went to the other side but still a good player with a few years left in him don't see why he could be a rangers player. Kenny Millers been to the rough lot before and this site was begging for his return even after he left us for more money in chicken

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't want Mcdonald anywhere near Rangers FC........

Agree0 Disagree0

No harm in looking, just so long as we are ONLY LOOKING .......... no way

Agree0 Disagree0

Am a season ticket holder at ibrox and ad love to see McDonald at ibrox he was a nippy wee ba##### when Eva he played agaist rangers always looked like scoring and he did win us the league or hav u forgotten about that

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont forget that wee man won us the league a few years back, also treated terribly at girodome would love the chance 2 get 1 over on them............

Believable11 Unbelievable18

Yeh right So you went out of you're way just to follow a car with two young lads in it.you're gonna get the jail.lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Ray Wilkins works for Sky. Maybe its 2 new starlets for Rangerstv? He isn't an agent as far as i know

Agree0 Disagree0

Well f**k me thats really creepy china, you are a stalker............ LMAO I followed them to Ibrox ? Because you had just driven the 240 miles from Liverpool and had nothing better to do on a rain soaked day ? pure genius m8, nice try

Agree0 Disagree0

Aye ok mate, whatever you say

Agree0 Disagree0

A YOU SHOULD WRITE A BOOK

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol tell meanother one jack...

Agree0 Disagree0

That's not stalkerish at all...

Who are they? What team were they coming from? And since Ray Wilkins is currently unemployed by any team in Scotland or England, why would he be taxi-ing them to Ibrox?

Agree0 Disagree0

SNAP I saw that too, and I also followed them. After Ibrox we went to the zoo and then off for lunch. What a lovely day it's been In fact tomorrow I'm going... oh, excuse me, that's the nurse with our pills. Yours is the big one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah thats a lie

Agree0 Disagree0

Following an imaginary car, you sure you should be driving?

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely they would go straight to Murry Park?

Agree0 Disagree0

OK, so I lied about the zoo. But we did have lunch, chicken nuggets

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats the worst rumour of the whole transfer window so far.You can easy tell the kids are off school.Haha

Agree0 Disagree0

This is bs i wasat ibrox today getting the new top and never seen this

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly i read these pages everyday for a laugh and to see who both sides of the old firm are linked with. Mckay looks a cert.
Russel Dufc wouldnt sell us gw, why would they sell their next best prospect, that's a no.
James Morrison just signed a 3 extension with west brom as well as brunt..not happening.
Why anyone would want Edu defeats me but lets hope you are right about that.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Mr Whyte has already splashed the cash, he has bought our club when no one else would even look at us, so far we have brought in 4 new players, as per tradtion we don't usually buy anyone until end of window, please give Mr Whyte and Super Ally a chance.

Kyle Lafferty stated recently he'd love to sign up to Rangers for the rest of his career, the big man loves the club & anybody who says he hasn't got undoubted ability doesn't have a clue because he has all the attributes to be a class striker his height, speed, finishing and people forget he's only 23. His Miss Scotland girlfriend is pregnant too & they're settled, doubt he's going to up sticks. Hurry back KL.

Believable19 Unbelievable6

Couldn't agree more mate .good bluenose.cannae stand all this negative outlook thinking these people support the wrong team...

Agree0 Disagree0

Big kyle will be a rangers legend, when jela moves on lafferty will be the main striker i have no doubts he will be a 30 goals a year striker for the gers in the future ,big man has a composure in the box that not many strikers show ,he just passes the ball into the net

Agree0 Disagree0

What u smoking he has not kicked his own arse for 3 yrs and he is our samaras. west ham 2 million i would drive him there myself. Another thing 3.8 million and a return of what 20 odd goals in his term at ibrox...get rid

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree my freind, it would be absolute folly to sell the big man. I can't see the management team selling without having strengthened in the striking area.

Agree0 Disagree0

I used to be one of the ones who wanted rid of big Laff, and to be honest, i think there was justification in that.....however, i think the big man is ready to be a superstar, and i'd hate him to go.....i also think him and big Jella will be unstopable together with wee naisey just in behind.

Just one thing guys....it helps being a bluenose, but it doesn't make you good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Av been a fan of the bigman since a saw him single handedly take poland apart a while back av took endless pelters aff ma pals rite up to the to the last 6 wks of last season a hope he continues this season the way he finished last we want guys like him in the team thats royal blue through n through who knows what it means to play for our great club if jella the bigman n the ayrshire messi link up half aswel as they did at the end of last season the league's in the bag WATP

Kyle you should be in the pyhsio room not on here bigging yirself up ya clown

Agree0 Disagree0

To anyone who says hes not good enough, he was gettin played out on the wing all the time apart from the end of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

We need big Laff back as soon as him and Jelly are the dream team for me

Rangers looking to to bid 2.5 million to bring in Frenchman Yohan Benalouane from Cesena after missing out on Rolan Juhasz, Is this the same guy we looked at a couple seasons back who played with St Etienne?

i'm not here to jump on the sack ally bandwagon, he's a new manager and its a big job. I believe he deserves time . He loves rangers as much as any of us so get off his back. When laugherty comes back , naismith can drop into midfield and we're not far away.
However, is it not time we stopped buying players who impress and then playing them out of position straight away. We've seen strikers on the wing and in midfield, defenders in the middle and mifielders at centre-back. I don't know how the spanish boy will fare, but surely we play him on the right, davis and ness/hutton in the middle with wylde or wallace on the left. That leaves mcullough as back up as he can play many positions and we sell edu. I think last year that the youngsters were better than edu and deserve their chance. The only reason i can see Edu getting a game instead of them is to put him in the shop window and to keep them out of it, which might be a good idea. The defence seems to be pretty sorted if one other centre half comes in, and i'd like a decent striker too please santa. Boughie has been touting himself every year since he came. The time to go would have been after the last world cup when he played ok, but we made him a star and he believes it. He was unknown til he came here.
Finally , i though jordan macmillan had a blinder against Chelsea and would give him a shout, Competition for places is essential. Whittaker gets a game whether he plays well or not.
We're not too far away
Bazbear

Believable14 Unbelievable8

I wish people would lay off Edu, he's played alongside McCulloch in midfield at home and both are similar holding players, but he's expected to be a creative player which he is not.
This idea of playing him to sell in the shop window and not playing others so as to avoid bids for them is nonsense. We are in it to win by the end of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Completley agree with everything you said there. Whittaker is a defensive liability and think that more of the youngsters should be in the starting 11

Agree0 Disagree0

Did u just suggest that we should play Wallace out of position after saying that is partly our problem?

Agree0 Disagree0

Great post mate

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you are right , give the kids a chance but buy two quality players. 1, a cntre half 2. a goal scorer . And get the likes of russell in from DU. Lets not just buy for buy sake. wylde is better the Ortiz and Fleck would benifit from a run in the side ,but play them in the right positions.

Anderlecht say they will not be bullied into selling defender Roland Juhasz to Rangers and will not reduce their asking price after rejecting five bids for the player from the Glasgow club. (the Sun)

Den Haag winger Wesley Verhoek pulled the plug on his transfer to Nottingham Forest - and will not be joining Rangers either - because of his 11th-hour decision that he could not live outside the Netherlands.Thats what happens when you are surounded by riots in england (Daily Record)

Fellow Bears I'm still backing the club to get the players in before the transfer window closes but my my reckoning, due to player sales, we have spent practically ZERO so far:

OUTLAY

Wallace (£1.5m)
Goian (£600,000)
Ortiz (£500,000)
Bartley (Loan)

£2.6m

INCOME

Bougherra (£1.7m)
Charlie Adam (10% sell on clause £800,000)

£2.5m

The jury remains out....

Believable17 Unbelievable8

Ortiz was signed on a free transfer was he not?

Agree0 Disagree0

M8 thats £100,000 we have spent, wheres this money we have been promised?...if the didnt mess about with transfers we would have probably made the champions league but no, being a tight erse hes cost the club millions

Agree0 Disagree0

Other than the renewal of contracts for davis (~25k), whittaker (~22K), macgregor (26K) and papac (~18K), so collectively over the course of this one year is 4.75 M give or take a few quid. So there's your warchest and the reason for the penny pinching

Agree0 Disagree0

Ortiz was a free, clause in contract if they got relegated

Agree0 Disagree0

Millions have been spent increasing the wages of our core players to retain them.
Too many negative waves on our sites rangers will overcome.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree there is a lot of negative outlook maybe they should be supporting cxltic

Agree0 Disagree0

Wages and wages for the players on new deals m8............... MILLIONS

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you forget the 16 Million spent on new contracts for Mcgregor, Whittaker and Davis, get off Whytes back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing negative about it. Unfortunately it's the cold hard facts. And, if Ortiz was indeed a free transfer then the figures make even worse reading. Ally is banging his head against a brick wall sadly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Contracts add up to 3mil. goin was bought for 800 000 i am sure

Agree0 Disagree0

Check it up ortiz was 500,000 google it

Agree0 Disagree0

Ortiz was a free transfer and only paid 1.2 for wallace up front as for wages they come out of operating budget set months ago thats why there is a wage cap there were a couple of signing on fees appart from what he spent on fixtures and fittings we have spent hee haw

Agree0 Disagree0

The wages of players we resigned dont count There not gettin there wages upfont Itll only add a few thousand a month onto the wage bill So weve only spent on wallace and Goin Defo need to see more soon

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been on you tube, this boy Mckay looks the part, this could be very astute business and shows that spending millions isn't always required to get a very capable player. Well done Coisty.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

I agree, much more mobile than a few of our midfielders. If he plays that well this league will be a walk in the park for him. Good touch, can pass, can tackle, great engine with a bit of pace and scores good goals with either foot. just like Edu

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank u my friend I wish all the halfwits on this site who constantly moan about lack of spending would stop and think instead of having their usual rants look at the manky mob last year kayal and izaguire didn't cost millions exactly the difference being is mackay if he signs a long term contract will probably see out the best years of his career with us being 28 so we will have no sell on value unless someone gets him from epl after 2 seasons with us but we also have the boy bedoya coming in who is also a good player so as I say stop and think before your rants remember the name tore andre flo before we go spending the family jewels again

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to admit he looks the part. Looks like he has good vision and passing ability. But anyone can look good on youtube. I'll try n watch some of the Wales vs Oz game later and see how he looks there.

Also heard big Lafferty is wanting away. If that's the case let's cash in and reinvest it in a decent striker

Believable3 Unbelievable12

Could get a decent player from Spurs but if you look at the Chelsea squad there is not really anyone who we could realistically get or who would improve our squad.

Listen mate if rangers were to take mcgregor or jelavic out the team(wether by sale/injury)what do rangers have left

Agree0 Disagree0

Another Ten players? That was easy give us another.

Agree0 Disagree0

Waste of time bidding for Russel D.U.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would be happy with a right back, centre defender, winger and centre mid. Then a couple of loans including a striker maybe to bolster the squad. Why is everyone desperate for a striker? Areas of the team are shocking but strike department is not one of them. Jelavic, Naismith, Hemmings, Healy, Lafferty (if he's still here). Any of they guys will score goals with a decent creative team behind them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Source? Edu to Auxerre you must be on drugs. Morrison is a huge part of Roy Hodgsons plans at West Brom

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason i think this is unbelievable Is the fact that a new team has to blend together and the changes would be to big at one time.Look at other spl teams that have done this in the past and they failed in their quests.

Agree0 Disagree0

We would have davis. best midfeilder in the country, naismith top player, sasa papac quality defenedr....should i go on? crawl back in your hole son

Agree0 Disagree0

Davis ,naismith, wallace, papac,

Agree0 Disagree0

Alexander is a good goalkeeper so we would cope without mcgregor all be it we dont want to, we cant cope without jelavic until we get another striker

Rangers in discussions with HMRC over appealing £2.8 tax liability
Rangers are in discussions with the tax authorities about the £2.8 million penalty imposed upon the club for liabilities run up on deals done during the spendthrift management tenure of person Advocaat, Telegraph Sport can reveal.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Whyte will offer to pay them £750,000 over the nxt 5yrs Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this the same case that was going to derail us as a club 2.8M? Youre kidding me

Agree0 Disagree0

No This is a totally seperate matter over and above the original case. £24M core debt + interest and fines is what HMRC are claiming - could toatal £50m if found guilty

Agree0 Disagree0

2.8.million nothing to do with other case.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can someone please clarify. i got told we will be fined 20 odd million pounds. is this the same penalty?

Agree0 Disagree0

I was wondering that to is this the same tax bill ed? the one sceptic fans ram down our throats all the time.
mark {Ed001's Note - no it does seem the previous poster was correct that this is a second one, from what I am told it is this one that is affecting the spending power of the club though. This will have to come out of the current club funds apparently.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte knew about this before he took control, I was led to believe he had discussed the matter with Murray before the sale went threw and an agreement as to who would pay this was met (Whyte would pay it instead of a fee to Murray, hence the payment to Murray being £1 ).

Agree0 Disagree0

Have posted before regarding this.Chris Whyte said he would pay an outstanding tax bill(this one,£2.8approx).Remember,all monies put into the club are loans and Whytes company owns the security against them.I'll say it again, documents lodged at companies house confirm this. The big gorilla as Alistair Johnstone put it,is a bill for approx £24 + interest£12 which may incur penalties of up to £24approx.The club is looking at a potential bill of somewhere between 50-60m.Craig Whyte has protected his position by becoming secured creditor over all of Rangers PLC's assets.I find it disturbing though,if these rumours are true, that instead of the small bill(2.8m)being paid,asWhyte said, the club might now be hit with fines of £1.4 for non payment. If we can't pay this,as promised, then if we lose the big case,we're in deep s**t.Not very comforting when Whyte states in his documents that in event of INSOLVENCY,He has first claim on all of the clubs assets. As I have said here before, don't bury your heads in the sand. These facts can all be checked by anyone on this site, including editors,if you can be bothered.
