Dale Houten found guilty of a public order offence and intentionally causing harassment, alarm or distress. Given a 12-week suspended prison sentence, banned from attending any football match for five years, ordered to undertake 200 hours unpaid work and also imposed a £154 victim surcharge and ordered him to pay £85 towards the cost of the prosecution. he's probably ruined his his life to some extent for the sake of "Banter". I am quite anti woke and think ironically this woke culture is destroying the fabric of British Society but good to see there are red lines we are prepared to enforce. We must have free speech at the same time a strong moral compass.

This has nothing to do with woke culture if anything woke culture stopped him going to jail. What sort of man thinks mocking a wee kid who has died is a good idea. If i were standing next to someone doing that at a match or anywhere, i would not hesitate in punching them in the mouth.

Think actions went way past free speech. He openly mocked death of another whether under influence thinking he would get no action against well he was wrong. Pleases me he's banned countrywide. I don't like them, but thought of Rangers led tifo targeting dead or disabled tic fan specifically by name turns stomach.

Totally agree. Woke culture means discriminatory language. This way past this. Defamatory language on sad death specifically aimed and targeted single party, that's not woke its most appalling use language thinking he could hide in masses. Well he was wrong and so glad.

Sorry folks I posted two items in my original post and I don't want anyone to think I was in any way condoning this rat with regards to wokness and free speech. Please take the second part of my post as Independent of the first part.
