I see the idea of transnational leagues are back in media spotlight.
I for one would be a serious advocate for an Atlantic league.

I would have an Atlantic premiership consisting of;
Top 4 scottish teams
Top 4 Danish
Tip 4 Norwegian
Top 4 Swedish
N. i champion
Welsh champion
Icelandic champion
Faroese champion.

A second tier consisting of.
5-8 Scotland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
Runners up N. i, Wales, Iceland and Faroe Islands.
Third tier would consist 8 regional set ups with playoffs.
Each region would have there own division much like current set up.

Welsh Irish Icelandic teams have put Scotland teams out of Europe in recent years, not sure tv want to give up four old firm games a year.

That would be a potential sticking point for the clubs although from what I'm led to believe the TV deal in Scotland is nothing short of laughable. I believe that the TV deal aswell as the potential bankrolling of the league would be of an astronomical scale in comparison to current deals. Jp Morgan have already stated they would back a similar proposal that was only scrapped because of celtic.

It would be like euorpa league ties every week but it would be our new league so sky Bt or someone would pick it up and pay a good amount for it in my opinion.

I agree storm but to incorporate the smaller league champions in the set up would definitely be great for all the nations involved.

Would be a breath of fresh air to be honest.
I was hoping the merger of the Dutch and Belgian league would go ahead, as it could have laid the path for future mergers.

Would make financial sense and would most definitely help attract a better calibre of player. You could argue that would actually make the Scottish game more competitive as well although not entirely sure what the market would be for it. I don't know the legalities of it all but it seems European leagues are inevitable. especially when it's the money men making the decisions.

Definitely seeker it brings us smaller nations closer to competing with the big 5. Its the reason why Belgium and the Netherlands want to do the same.

Surely from a financial point of view this is better. The small nations are struggling every year to qualify time and again and rich get richer. Just m opinion but CL is kinda boring with same old teams dominating. Which is rich when SPL called a 2 horse race and the Premier euro tournament has the usual suspects battling it out.
