Hi troops, I get frustrated some times with Ryan. But to be fair a lot of the time there are 3 defenders on him. The attack would start with Borna, Ryan and other on the left side and the other two pull back or stop there run leaving Ryan with 3 defenders. Just my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully Giovanni will come up with a tactic to encounter this.

25 Jul 2022 15:54:17
I'm really struggling to understand what your talking about mate?

25 jul 2022 15:58:21
for me he isn’t worth the money he’s paid, a lot, far too many one trick games, , defenders know what they’re facing without variance, i’ve always felt kent’s end product was limited in most games

but, he has been magnificent occasionally, usually when playing against team who doesn’t know him, he can tear you apart, just not enough in scotland and we have had far more effective wingers imo, the issue to my mind is his wages and who would pay him, for the end product? few imo.

So if 2 or 3 players are marking Kent, why does he not look for the Rangers player in acres of space instead of trying to beat the 2 or 3 players and ends up either running into trouble or losing the ball?
Just my opinion.

Earthshattering news white horse. It goes to show he's a talent and now we have Matondo on the right. Can't wait.

25 Jul 2022 16:29:31
What part Dado?

25 Jul 2022 16:42:05
Didnt know I was making earth (GAP) shattering news. Just stating a fact!

25 Jul 2022 16:58:21
If there's 3 players marking kent surely we need too make use of the space available then.

25 Jul 2022 17:04:46
Agree 100% Tom. Flatters to deceive too often for me. No doubting his talent but should be scoring far more goals.

25 Jul 2022 17:08:50
TT12 you like myself and John25 stormtrooper etc obviously between us have a lot of experience over the years in watching the famous and we've seen some cracking players over the years ? An honest question to you here TT12 and anyone really who wants to give their take on this ?In your opinion if kemar roofe had no injury problems whatsoever, who do you rate as the better/ more talented overall striker alfredo morelos V kemar roofe and give me you're reasons for your choice?.

25 Jul 2022 17:15:56
I agree Laudrup and feel the 3 playing the triangle are to blame. Not just Kent. It is a team game.

25 Jul 2022 17:19:29
Walter, easy roofe as he has a football brain and does not panic or lash out at ball. He passes it into me

If he was not injury prone would never have been at rangers

Great striker but.

25 Jul 2022 17:28:32
John25, yes I agree with you, for the exact same reason, great pity he doesn’t want to play, been likewise elsewhere.

25 Jul 2022 17:36:58
Agree John and fraser. Very intelligent player and very composed. As you say John, if not injury prone, wouldn't be here.

25 Jul 2022 17:46:07
Ps. The 2 goals that stick in my mind are the 2 against Celtic. 1st one the chest in. Such speed of thought and the 2nd his movement was brilliant for the header. As for the half way shot, absolutely ridiculous.

25 Jul 2022 17:56:37
Spot on what you are saying John if he did not carry that many injuries he would be playing in the epl, sounds too me a lot of his injures are in his head and i think GVB has seen this, but saying all that his brain for football is pure class the most technical cf we have got by a mile.

25 Jul 2022 18:09:27
Dammit, I've only been following for 39 years, probably don't have enough experience as the aforementioned to comment. ???.

25 Jul 2022 18:19:24
I’d go for Buffalo, his hold up play is top notch, his physicality occupies Whole defences at times, He’s a better out ball under pressure it sticks up there! His goal scoring speaks for its self domestically and Obv his Euro form is Phenomenal. U think Roofe would match that amount of goals in Europa at Rangers at Buffs age? Only Laarson and Hunterlaaar above buff! (he does a sclaff a few) ?, Since it’s in the same thread… Kent’s form is better when buff plays and makes space! and there’s absolutely NO Doubt in my mind he’ll play at a higher lever than Roofe. Roofe has a slight edge in finishing I would say that but overall it’s a no contest for me can say if buts and maybes about how Roofe would be with no injuries but he’s been this way his whole career he’s either soft or V Unlucky!

25 Jul 2022 18:29:30
Walter Macoist, give us your view, I agree with all others he is miles ahead of others re his football brain.

25 Jul 2022 18:44:34
Roofe, a far better footballer. But I'm probably not experienced enough to have a say, having only watched Rangers since 1959, worked at the club, written about the club, also a shareholder and season ticket holder.

25 Jul 2022 18:55:55
Coops I would still say Alfredo he brings so much to rangers tho roofe would score more goals if he wasn’t injured all the time I know that may sound daft but I just think Alfredo does more than goals.

25 Jul 2022 19:25:33
Surprised many have gone for Roofe but fully respect those views and the reasons for them. For me it’s Alfredo, like Storm I think he does so much more than goals, bullies defenders, link up play has improved incredibly and he is much smarter now, dare I say it but he has matured. He can still get better imo as well. I do like Roofe, and as others have said if he wasn’t injured all the time he could properly challenge to be no.1 striker and he may have gone to a bigger league.

25 Jul 2022 20:42:51
Sorry tavsonloyal, parlane and all others who of course have many years of experience following the famous ?I meant for everyone to be involved ?As i posted yesterday, i think both alfredo and roofe are superb strikers and although i love morelos, a fit roofe is definitely for me the best all round striker of the two and here's why ?Roofe is the more natural, composed loose finisher of the 2,he's better technically, better on one on one finishes, better with both feet and his head, knows when to pass the ball into the net and knows when to put his laces through the ball? The only think that buf has up on roofe is his strength at being able to occupy a full defence on his own and bully them?I've said previously exactly the same as John25 and others that if roofe wasn't so injury prone with they problematic calfs, he has the ability to play in the english premier league with a top 10 club ??? He's technically superb ???.

25 jul 2022 21:11:47
for what its worth i don't think there's any doubt that roofe is far advanced as a football brain, not even debateable for me, but alf brings his own brand of game, often not skillful but strong.
