Just to get away from the transfer topic for a minute and back to the gameplay.
Watched the training game V Blackpool. ?
Believe it or not I am still angry this morning at the result. ?
How many seasons and managers do we have to watch and see our team play tippy tappy in front of our own goal when we are in front then concede in the last minutes of the game. ?
Yes it was a practice game, however should this be way that we intend to play in the league, then I must do my Sweep impersonation and say, "we will have little or no chance of getting our title back this season". ?
No disrespect to you Sweep mate, (and sorry to take your name in vain) , but you are a guy after my own heart and say it the way we see it at the present. ?.
Oh I expect the usual suspects to come on and say the league isnae even started and we get this nonsense already. ?.

Well we were flying last preseason and we didn't win the league. so just shows it means hee haw. I'm happy to give everyone a chance and see how they perform when it actually matters - that's all that matters.

I thought the performance was fine John mate, and we did win .
I'm just angry at how we seem to play to see the game out instead of going for it till the final whistle too many times for my liking .
That's my concern, if we continue do do this again in the league.
I'm sure you've seen it many time John in seasons past.

As one of the lads on heart and hand said, we lost against Tranmare and beat Real Madrid last preseason.
I don't think you can judge how a season is going to go from friendlies. Especially with amount of changes etc. and intensity if the games.

I actually thought we played fine Stigno mate, considering it was just a training game like the other half a game we played lat week.
Just as I said in my post, we played well till the last mins then reverted to sitting back that cost us to concede just like many times before in seasons past.
Lessons learned I hope guys.

Had that been a league game, I would have been behind the settee for the last 15 mins o the game and waiting for the inevitable conceding a goal .

Bluebilly, i tend to agree with what your saying its concerning that we've struggled yest and 1st and only half of last game we've been really slow starters the last few seasons so i hope Gio can adress this coming season don't want that mob being well in front on goal difference early on there still on fire.

Katic two yards off player, Davis does not match runner imo.

Decent match and I thought we played well also, yes we did concede late in the match and yes, the campaign has not yet started, however, under which competitive circumstances would we make the volume of substitutions we did, and also the choices of player coming on?
I took it as a preseason match, result not important to me personally, more about getting a look at the team and how the new players are integrating.

Early pre season is for mins in the legs and working out who plays where and with who
Let’s reserve judgement until we get all our first readers on the pitch for longer than 45 mins.

This side hasn't enough goals in it and will be holding on for 1-0s and 2-1s far to often. Celtic will be pumping sides 4 and 5 - 0s with the goals they have in their side. I just can't believe people can't see this.

Can't class Soutter and Barasic as 1st team players as one is injury prone and the other disappears off the radar when the going gets tough.
