Sweep am with you this he is a great player when fit but we can’t afford for out 1st team players to be injury prone when we already have helander Jack and roofe it just doesn’t make sense.

Just looking at his old injury record I think he'll be like Roofe John25. Play 4 or 5 games then out for 6 weeks at a time. If he's the plan to he our 1st choice CB then it's a mistake imo or we have no money to spend.

His past injuries, pretty severe, could be an issue.
Higher intensity training, more games, across multiple competitions.

Sweep his injuries appear to be long term and serious.
Ie ruptured tendons.
Story is he and McKenna room shared and both have C.V., time will tell.

Some of our players have played 60-70 games last couple of seasons so reckon we need another quality CB as can't see him doing that even if over worst of injuries. Not sure about Katic or Helander either an if we play 3 at the back rather not move Lundstram there tho he did great job covering this season.

Souttar has averaged 23 games a season, his best has been 36 games
Goldson has averaged 32 games a season but has just played 61 games for Rangers. But has never played less than 52 games in a season for Rangers.
Helander has averaged 20 games a season with his best being 31 games.
Katic has averaged 21 games with his best being 36 games.
Not really blessed with reliable CH’s.

He’s played c.40 games in the last 3 seasons, I reckon we’ll do well to get 25 games out of him this season. Again, we knew this before we signed him and I’m sure the board expect him to be injured as much as he’s fit.

Why are we betting that a newly signed player will not be fit enough to play the majority of matches? What kind of fans does that?
Our manager, our coaches and our medical team have taken their time and made a calculated and informed decision to sign Souter and yet our fans come on here looking for cheapies based on who’s right and who’s wrong.

Dont think anyone is HOPING! the lad misses games, but he hasn't played many games compared to some of our first team over the last few years. He also won't be able to coast in games as we will expect a win every time.
Good luck to him, but his past record MUST be a worry.
