Gd evening guys, been looking at lot of posts elsewhere regarding season tickets and waiting lists v capacity, so would it be worth at some point in the future turning the clubs attention to increasing capacity which could possibly hinder success on the park?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not aiming this at everyone who supports our great club here, but isn't it just a wee bit obvious/ suspicious if you like, that there's only been this large increase in a season ticket waiting list when steven gerrard was appointed rangers manager in 2018?
Where were all these supporters previous and trust me i know a lot who are on our season ticket waiting list, who wouldn't go near ibrox pre gerrard era ?Fair weather supporters and there's nobody can deny this! The thick and thin gers supporters are the true loyal supporters, of course depending on circumstances ?.

I think every Rangers fan has the right to decide when they want to apply for a season ticket, As with myself my son has really only started getting the buzz for the Rangers over the last two years that’s y I have now applied for season tickets. His first love was Liverpool.

Not sure the waiting list is as big as people think. Think there was a bigger waiting list back in the 90s.

09 Jun 2022 09:23:45
I agree to an extent mAr but you're not going to tell me a lot of it isn't glory hunting because it is mate, i know a lot regarding this ?.

There have been bigger waiting lists, problem is lots of folks on waiting list required 2 tickets together like father and son scenario. Others require seating in specific area etc.

Waiting lists were bigger in the 90s.

Circumstances are certainly on the change now WalterOBE.

I am struggling already wi all these petrol prices and other grossly overinflated cost and have given my ticket over to my bros mate for the time being.

Quite sure, a lot more of us on medium income bracket will feel the pinch soon.

You can bet the prices will not come down either when things settle.

Anyhow, let's make the beast of it for now guys.

Kaikai don't see how Ibrox advancement would affect performance. If you've seen Ibrox lately it does need work, but could be completed in a close season. More extensive work increasing capacity all round making Ibrox say all round three tier 70,000 all seater going to cost 50M but more than retriavable.

So I was there before the Souness revolution, all through nine in a row era the missed 10 season the Adovcaat and McLeish era gave up my ticket due to having a young family my kids are older now but according to SGL I’d be a glory hunter if I wanted one again??.

09 Jun 2022 11:38:11
That would make majority of the fan base glory hunters. B4 my time but pre souness were the regular attendances at ibrox not under 10k?

09 Jun 2022 11:43:00
Gerry, many many can’t afford a season book for many reasons, the glory hunters all ex players rocking up and getting tickets for Seville.

09 Jun 2022 11:46:22
That's not what i'm meaning or talking about g4rry! Try and understand my post mate? You're obviously not a glory hunter ???.

09 Jun 2022 11:47:12
Talking mainly about when we were demoted.

09 Jun 2022 11:48:26
Same boat for me g4rry. I used to walk 10 mile every week and midweek to follow team. I've rejoined the waiting list because my daughter has got the rangers bug now. We must be glory hunters.

Maybe its simple that folk are careful with their money and and are not happy to pay to watch rubbish football?

We were very poor for a good few years until SG came onboard and some would rather not have a season ticket to watch dross - that does not make someone less of a supporter.

Plenty on here think supporting the club is the same as trashing our players and manager at every opportunity.

09 Jun 2022 13:39:07
Very poor to call any of our fans glory hunters. We still filled ibrox almost every week even in lower divisions. Nobody on here knows each other or that persons circumstances, so to call fellow fans glory hinters is really poor imo. For all we know you could have hardly set foot in ibrox.

09 Jun 2022 21:48:34
Exactly here we go … Ibrox was full to capacity during our journey…? What on earth are sone of you talking about . We beat Motherwell In the cup . Great goal from dean Sheilds… place was buzzing.
