I’ve worked hard to find out a name, but told Gio and Wilson keeping this very tight. It is supposedly a name that needs no scouting.

Yes we got Ramsay but that proved to be a disaster. Is it not time we stopped chasing players on huge salaries that can no longer cut it, and instead unearth some real gems just look at Bassey for example, far better than any Aron Ramsay. Difference being Ramsay etc are loss makers whereas Bassey will bring in £20 its a no brainer. Last thing we need is more players to fill the treatment table or bench warmers.

Im just thinking out the box John. Rashford would be a massive signing. Difficult time at Utd just now and prob too good to sell. A change for a season and only 24. With his pace and finishing it would be frightening.

We all have views on any player which I respect, everyone on here is entitled to float a name, post a rumour, post I read elsewhere about a linked player, if they did not what is the point of the site.

Ones who we have 100% tried for in recent times have included foden, veerman, doehki and ivanic, they never came for variety of reasons imo.

While I believe that Rashford will be a solid member of the Manchester United Squad under their new management team next season I would not discount Rashford coming up to Scotland if the opportunity was there and he had Manchester United's backing.
I know a little bit about Rashford due to the Charity Work that he does principally in the North West and he is not solely motivated by money. He would also relish the opportunity to win trophies.
If we are looking at a blue chip loan signing then I would expect it to be a bigger name than either McAtee or Gilmour even though both of these players are excellent players. Only time will tell!

John i'm told we are in for Palmer from man city but its a first team squad player that they are working on a deal at the moment to come to us - hopefully learn more this week.

Rashford. No thanks. I am not big on loan players unless we have an option to buy. We must build with permanent squad that don't have the option to run away when they find the Scottish game is not for them.
We now have some cash to spend so let's sort out the contracts of current players who may leave but also bring in permanent players not a bunch that fancy a wee 'holiday'in sunny Scotland.
