I think Gio has shown enough tactically to prove that we can be successful. Especially in Europe and in last few games, Celtic, down to ten men against Motherwell. I think if he gets money to spend and can get players he wants then the team can get better.
Remember at the start of the season the team did not perform to any high level at all under Gerrard which shows that there are some players than need moved on.

IMO, we'll need to sell 2 or 3 of our first team players and with the combination of the money we bring in and gio's summer transfer budget, he can mould his own team to improve further, in a rebuild which as most all know we need a freshen up of our squad 🤔.

Gio has taken us to the Europa league semi final and final of the scotton cup, it's all fine saying SG won us the league wwst when he had 5 full transfer windows before the 55 season started. Gios initial stats and run has been better than SG''s and that's with having inherited a team that wasn't his and having to bring in and fill his own backroom staff. Bit hard saying he's one heehaw yet the season isn't over for goodness sake mate.

Faith in Gio👍. Great start imo. Europe has been sensational. Only blemish is Old Firm at Ibrox loss and a couple of silly draws that should have been wins. Which has put us 6 points behind instead of level or ahead. Looking forward to see who we bring in and who leaves in the summer and for what fees. ❤️🤍💙.

Gerrard did a remarkable job rebuilding the Team but in his initial years he was given significant financial support to build the Team.
If he is given the same support as Gerrard had when he joined then I have every confidence that he will surpass Gerrard however the ball is firmly in the Board's Court to support him to bring in his own players since we are very much in a rebuild scenario again.

I’ve seen those stats previously, Storm.
But it’s like comparing apples with oranges.
Gerrard inherited a basket case.
Gio inherited a title winning squad.
I’ve no doubt if Gio is backed this summer and gets in a couple of first 11 players he wants / likes then he will win the title ( not that I’ve given up this season yet ) .

RFC I did mention that in my OP but I don’t think it’s unfair at all as it’s there 1st 33 games in charge. As we may have been top of the league when GiO came in but we were still in a mess and playing badly.

Gio inherited a squad that had conceded 23 goals in 24 games I think it was. Gio inherited a squad that had conceded first in its last 6 games. Gio inherited a squad where Morelos couldn't hit a barn door from 5 yards and was miserable. Gio inherited a squad where Lundstram was being hounded out. Gio inherited a squad that had just been embarrassed 3-1 by Hibs in the cup.

The squad might have been a title winning squad the previous year but we were far from title winning form when Gio took over. Morale wasn't great when SG left. I remember Arfield had commented on the type of football being played under SG just after Gio arrived and he hinted that the football under Gio was more positive. I can't remember his exact words. Failing to strengthen properly in the summer was another issue. If Gio gets support in the summer then we will go up another level.
