Every time a player gets injured we can't go out and buy another, we still pay wages of injured guys.
Mb we will see Souter in, that's not where we need someone, according to many.
I get it if some come on and say xyz not good
enough but our manager picks them.

Spot on John. I think there's more anxiety out there because the other lot have made a few signings. Those signings are big gambles (suppose same can be said of most signings) and we have a number of key players out injured at the moment.
We have a sufficient sized squad which can be underpinned with talented youngsters.
Don't panic about new signings. I'm more concerned about the lack of high tempo and form of our current players.

Agree John, the squad is large and we can’t just replace players who are injured by buying another one.
Our problem I think is the large gap in quality between our first choice and some of the backups.
The board will have to make an important decision around spending money on the right players which would hopefully secure the league and UCL cash vs saving some cash short term but losing out long term if we throw away the league.
If we get to play some youngsters who can show they can cope and flourish in the first team then that would be great though.

On the other hand John there’s players that are injured, not good enough or out of contract in the summer for me Simpson, barker itten are not anywhere near rangers level could argue bacuna not ideal either, we are badly missing a right winger and have been for sometime now, with hagi injury maybe wee bit light in the attacking area of midfield.

The manager might pick the team John, but If he had better players than Simpson, Itten, Bacuna, and a couple others to pick from, trust me, those players I mentioned would never be getting picked. But he doesn't, so we continue on with who we have. And even though I'm sure we would all love better, the players we have to pick from have done not too bad getting us to the top of the league.
I definitely liked the look of Lowry, but he was up against Stirling Albion. Playing against them, then stepping up to play against the likes of hearts, hubs etc is like day and night. We can't expect the boy to step up and be an instant success.
Personally, I don't think we'll buy anyone this window. We might bring a loan in, but I don't see the point, If he's another squad player. We're not going to pay what hearts want for Souttar, so that's not happening. And If today's story is true that Bologna want 7.5m for Olsen, then it's see you later on that (If we do want him)?!

Squad is big enough and good enough. Not sure at all on Olsen as value for money. He has played very few 90 minutes over the last 2 seasons. Too much of a risk financially.
I would like to see Sakala right wing and put Lowry in the first team squad.

Like to see a RW brought in before the transfer window and possibly an attacking midfielder especially with the unfortunate injury to Hagi.

For me we need to move on 4 and replace with of improved quality
I would move on Itten, Bacuna, Lunstrum, Simpson and replace with a wide right midfielder and centre forward.
Trick is to keep increasing the quality every time the squad recycled.
Often the opportunities are limited in January.

John I think you have listed 27 players and probably 3/ 4 players could be moved on as they are unlikely to feature in the first team.
It’s great to see academy players included in the first team squad and hopefully McCann and Weston might get a chance between now and the end of the season most probably in cup games.
Do you see us signing anyone who would go into the starting 11 this transfer window?
