I heard goldson was a wolves fan growing up so wba might not be the most appealing however money talks also Nottingham Forrest I know they have great history but that's in the past . Anyway not the greatest of moves if he chooses any of them . A step down if you ask me.

Agree0 Disagree0

Honestly bgate, if that’s the level of Goldson’s ambition then I wish him well but he’s better out of our club. Perhaps he wants to move his family back to that area, I’m not sure. Why you would knock back playing in the champions league to play with a championship level team / yo-yo team is beyond me. Anyway, best of luck Goldson but this decision will haunt you the rest of your life.

Connor Goldson has given us nearly 4 years service he will go with my blessing as the guy has hardly missed a game in that time. As I said he will be sorely missed if he leaves.

24 Jan 2022 08:05:12
Agree Sweep he’s been brilliant for us no doubt about it! Gave his all always available 👍🏻.

24 Jan 2022 08:09:24
Well said, Sweep1.
Goldson is currently our most consistent and reliable CH. He will be missed unless the club pull a rabbit out of the hat signing wise.

24 Jan 2022 08:27:41
Agree, the big guy has been immense and I wish him well wherever he goes.

I'm still hoping that he'll sign a new contract, better chance of that now that gvb is manager.

24 Jan 2022 08:32:19
He’s been worth every penny.

Rangers and Championship teams are his level - never good enough for the EPL i have never been his biggest fan but did enjoy him scoring against the other mob - good luck to him if he gets his move home.

Goldson has been a very good signing. His second season he was quite inconsistent and error prone but in general I'd say he's been very good. I'd rather keep him but all the best to him if he wants to go back down south. I agree it would be a strange decision to play Championship football and miss out on Champions League if we win the league.

24 Jan 2022 09:30:31
Guys, I agree a lot with what you say, but he's been stalling on what I gather was a good offer from us, and, good as he has been for us, he's also had quite few howlers when some on here wanted to drive him south personally. We're a business, and, have to look at our balance sheet as well, I'm sure if he does leave, we'll all wish him the best, aand move on as a Club.

24 Jan 2022 09:34:24
Will be missed that’s for sure.

24 Jan 2022 09:46:28
I hope he stays. Infact, If those are the only clubs showing interest, I think he will stay. I could be wrong, but I don't see him opting for the championship (If neither team are promoted), while challenging for titles, and the chance to play in the CL. Of course, it could all come down to money, and the chance to be closer to home for him. If he goes, he goes a hero of the 55 campaign, and my very best for everything he has done for our club. Always present, and gave his all. I'll even forget his ill fated interview after the hubs debacle.

The lure of the CL if we qualify direct might get him to sign a new deal?
He's got every right to keep his options open.

24 Jan 2022 11:23:22
Need to keep him till the end of the season - I would worry about our defence without him. If he can help win the league again then goes with my best wishes. Been a great signing.

24 Jan 2022 11:50:17
I hope he signs a new deal but if not wish him all the best.

24 Jan 2022 14:07:51
Tomthumb would miss him, always bet him to score.
Hope you and your family are OK Tom.

24 Jan 2022 14:35:56
He best watch what he’s doing if we qualify for CL who’s to say we don’t get better quality in?

24 Jan 2022 16:55:18
Big Colin Jackson ☺.
