Good day fellow bears. I've just been watching some old Gers videos mainly from the 9 n row era but also when Celtic had the likes if Larsson. The Celtic teams we played around these times where very skillful but also very light weight. Rangers in general bullied them with a mixture of skill but also we had out and out ball winners. We normally had them beat in the tunnel. Looking at this current Celtic team they are skillful but very light weight. Maybe Gio has identified this based on his first 2 signings of Sands and Souter and links with the big Dutch boy.

I wouldn't say that the Martin O'Neill celtic team with Larrson in it was lightweight Fartson Sutton Majallby Balde to name a few, set piece Celtic my old dad used to label them! Them bulking up during that time did coincide with a upturn in fortunes for them for a few years, so I agree generally that the bigger stronger squad between the oldfirm usually dominates here in Scotland!

They probably seemed more lightweight with the way Sutton used to back into amo and go down.

Big Amo hated Sutton (Can't think why) and used to save his best performances for that lot. Wish we had the big fella just npw.
