Baxter boy further down in a thread has asked that individuals post their favourite memory of anything in Relation to Rangers.
A great idea.
It will stir so many great memories across our history.

Sounds great idea from baxterboy, John25.
So many fond memories of growing up and my late great father ran the supporters bus for many a year.
Sitting in the wee rangers club cloakroom with the committee members while my old man had a few pints.
Wee Violet, jumbo and Jimmy Clements to name a few.
Great days were had in there.
🔴⚪🔵.

After many different thoughts I have selected the following as my favourite memory of supporting and attending Rangers Games.
It was for me the signing of Mo Johnston and the memory of him scoring the goal at Ibrox when we beat Celtic 1-0
He showed how much he cared with his celebration.
His signing opened the door for many fantastic players to wear our famous jersey.

So many great memories for me but beating Leeds utd the English champions at elland road to Qualify for the first ever Champions league for me is right up there.

Absolutely John25, that's what's important- memories and hopefully good ones at that. I'm all ears and would love to hear from you all. Being from Kilmarnock my first Rangers games were at Rugby Park. I had a wee autograph book and used to go early with my dad to try and get some autographs. I got this Rangers players autograph then said to my dad " That player has huge hands", turned out to be Peter McCoy.

As I have said before the edu last min goal against them at ibrox and me and my dad celebrating in the stands is always one of the great moments for me.

Heading down to Manchester on the morning of the game was my favourite. Red, white and blue every car and filling station.

2002 cup final with Løvenkrands last minute winner. I was in a mixed fans pub which for some reason was over indexed with Celtic fans. I’ve never seen a place empty so fast in my life, untouched pints still sitting on the bar 😀😀😀. The other one which I don’t think will be repeated again was winning the league at park head 1999 in what was Scotlands biggest ever shame game. A Celtic Fan jumping off stadiums to get the match abandoned, Celtic fans assaulting the referee and rangers doing a huddle at full time in the middle of the park, what a day! Also who could forget Scott Macdonald’s goal with the sponsors taking the awards table back up the tunnel and the helicopter turning around? My god there are some outstanding memories 😀😀😀.

Yip John25,the signing of mo johnston in 1989 most certainly the biggest in my time of shaking scottish to the foundations and yes it did open the door👍When he scored that winner against celtic into the copland and past the despairing paky bonnar the stadium went wild and so did he of course👍I used to sit in the copland front where he ran over to celebrate, what an occasion👌.

Back in the day, trying to get first in, running up the big stairs at the Copland end and looking down at the park, magic
Even more so on a European night, and there were plenty of them.
Best game, the night we beat Bayern Munich, which was essentialy the German national team.

Wow Mo signing was sensational moment. Mine was McSwegan looping header after just coming on in CL. The tournament was new format, the music would give you goosebumps and your nerves would be going mental!

That goal went in and I remember jumping up and down arm round my dads back both of us ecstatic! I haven’t quite felt like that again or celebrated any other goal with my dad like that.

Magical tournament, Magical memory.
Great idea Baxterboy.

Some great memories already, also brings back very happy times for me.

My favourite memory was beating Motherwell 3 - 2 in Scottish cup semi. It was the first game I was allowed to go to without a grown up in tow. Under the lights at hampden, me and my mates. We felt we really come of age. Happy days.

Cheers John. Penalty to Rangers then? 😄.

17 Jan 2022 14:09:36
As always, big DJ brought down by their keeper.

17 Jan 2022 14:45:04
Barcelona 1972. Everything else pales compared to that momentous day.

17 Jan 2022 17:28:57
Parlane celtic were 2-0 up against them in the quarters at H-T and lost 3-2,Willie Pettigrew was Motherwell star man.
