Just reading in Rangers Now that Rangers paid in the region of 10 million for Lundstrum and would try and recoup some of that. I'm pretty sure they are way of the mark as it's my understanding we got him for nothing.

We did get lundstrum for nothing, I don’t know where they get 10million from but we could make a few million when we sell him.

Lundstrum was a Bosman, We might have paid him a signing on fee but I reckon that Rangers Now has added an extra '0' to what he cost us!

Three Cheers, In terms of Transfer Fee he cost us nothing but I suspect that we might have paid him / his Agent a heft signing on fee. At worst, that would have cost us maybe £1m. Thankfully I am now retired, apart from Advisory Boards that I sit on and Charity Work that I do, locally. (I think that they might have been suggesting that he had a value of £10m which strangely enough was suggested at one time when we were linked with him at first. ) . In any event, point noted.

Free transfer means no fee between clubs so it that respect it’s free of a transfer fee as all other monies have to be met both ways . A free let’s the player gain more income … but you kn that sweep anyway.

I’m sure clubs offered around 7/ 8 million for him a year or 2 ago he’s prob worth that down there to the right team he’s a good player but just does not fit our style a he would play better for a bottom 6 epl team.
