Hypothetical question here guys as we've not secured the signings of both our targeted centre halfs john souttar and danilho doekhi as of yet but it got me thinking ahead here🤔If and of course it's an if we sign both souttar and doekhi, as well as keeping helander, balogun and of course bassey, who do we/ you reckon would be our first choice centre half pairing going forward and would we need as many centre halfs as surety souttar and doekhi at their ages wouldn't sign unless being assured of first team football🤔Also what if big connor goldson did stay🤔We know that jack simpson and big katic will be allowed to leave ibrox, as they have no future at rangers under gio! This to me is a very interesting situation here, around our centre halfs, with the permatations i've posted here guys🤔.

Helander and Doehki unless Helander is leaving then probably Souttar and Doehki but from what I've heard Doehki could be heading to Germany.

Think Bassey would go back to LB with that competition. Haven't seen Doekhi play so can't comment. Think initially it would be Goldson and Souter for a SPL game imo but a very difficult question to answer however what a great position to be in. Keep the Zero.

Sir Walter for me if Goldson stays surely it can only be one from Souttar/ Doekhi as all 3 I think would prefer to be right sided centre backs and would expect to play.
Balogun, Simpson and Katic I expect to leave either this window or summer.
Leon King will step up to be one of four centre backs in first team squad next year.
Interesting to see our CB for next year. I’d be happy if Goldson signed a new contract as he plays almost every game and I think he has been great for us. I just wish Helander was less injury prone as when fit I think he is our best defender.

I’ve only watched doekhi once against the Spanish team in there European league, they were 3 up at half time and he wasn’t really tested so I’ve no idea how good he is. I would expect though if he signs he’ll partner Helander in our strongest 11. Hopefully we can pick and choose based on form as well as just our strongest 11.

I wouldn't tamperfear to much with our defence as it takes a while for players to settle into a new Country/ League, wouldn't want to give the other team from the dark side a puddy up the league table by chopping and changing.

If the speculation has any substance I'd be disappointed that we are trying to sign Souttar and I have very little knowledge of Doekhi. I think for the rest of this season we're looking at two from Goldson, Helander, Balogun, Bassey and King, probably the first two if Helander is fit.

I'd hate to loose doekhi to psv, we've already lost out on veerman to psv, two players we scouted for ages, if we're going to sign doekhi it needs to be very soon.

Need Goldson till end of season, the last thing we need is changing our defence mid season when we have only conceded one goal since Gio has taken over.

Imo. Doehki will only be signed if Goldson goes. Skov will only be signed if Kent or Aribo goes. 75% of the Patterson money goes to pay club debts. Maybe 25% for a back up RB but more likely promote from within.

Otters do realise rangers have no debt. It was cleared in July by directors.
