Interesting to see that Rangers have now suddenly refused permission for Zungu to play against Sudan🤔. Previously they had said he could which would of meant him having to isolate on return and miss the Cove Rangers Scottish cup tie. My guess was they were expecting him to be suspended for it anyway along with Patterson and Bassey due to the C.V. breaches. Now Rangers have suddenly sent an email to the SouthAfrican camp refusing permission for him to travel to Sudan. Does this mean that the outcome from yesterday’s meeting is that they actually won’t be facing any suspension? Why else would we suddenly change our minds about allowing him to play? Especially if he was going to be suspended on his return anyway?

A friend of a friend of a friend told me that the Rangers CV5 were going to escape punishment after Killie and St Mirren got their points deduction voided after using the Celtic Dubai Stag Party as their evidence why they shouldn't be punished.
I've heard Rangers are using the same evidence of the many breaches of protocol by Celtic in Dubai and on their return as their reason as well.
Don't know how much truth is in that though.

Does seem a bit weird if true.
If suspended he wouldn't play again this season, and would be surprised if he was here next year tbh!

Any lawyers on here, Am I correct in thinking the police charged the players for breaching the C.V. rules and would something similar to the double jeopardy law mean they couldn, t be punished twice.

I'm not a lawyer BB but any punishment from the SFA is a football punishment and ha snothing to do with police punishment. Regardless of what is stated above I still expect them all to receive at least 3 game bans.
However, the arrangement with Zunguis strange. Especially when we will have Davis, Kamara, Arfield, Aribo and possibly Jack available.

They charge upwards of 100 quid per hour so you will get nothing for free on here from any that do have a look at our site.
Mind you there were a couple celts posters on here a couple o years back claiming to be lawyers, what a joke that was.

Think police charges and SFA charges could maybe be separate issues.
Sure some of our non lawyer posters have some info on your question though.

Possibly don't want him going to sudan incase he brings C.V. back to the rangers camp. Perhaps it is similar to dubai in claiming C.V. doesn't exist there. Just a thought because if i had the choice i'd try to sign another player at end of his loan as i can't see anything special about him but just my opinion.
