Looking at the squad for tonight's Scotland v Austria World Cup qualifier, I feel really sad that Rangers are not represented (apart from Jack, who is injured anyway) . It is great seeing our team winning the title this season but I wish we had three or four Scots in the first team squad. When was the last time the Scotland team included three or four Rangers players? I only ask because I can't remember! Here's a few Rangers greats who have played for Scotland down the years:

Davie Cooper, graham Souness, mo johnstone and Richard Gough contributed more to Scotland than a lot on this list.

To be honest, I don't have much time for the National team anymore, but I will always support them when they're playing England. I remember cheering the thumb when he scored against them, and that was something I never thought I would do! I felt like I had to take a shower after doing it.

It's not a competition sweep, I was merely interested in hearing others' views. I could have spent all morning listing every single Rangers player who has played for Scotland.

Problem re us having players in Squad we have very few Scottish players, primarily because the ones available are not good enough.

Hi guys,
I'm a 100% thoroughbred Scot, but I could not care less if we never have Rangers players playing in the Scotland squad .
Our players get enough injuries playing in Europe games without additional world cup games.
My priorities are every Rangers games.

Gordon Durie played 43 times for Scotland between 87 and 99 Doiger, so he should definitely be on that list considering he was part of WC 90, euro 92, euro 96 and WC 98 squads, 4 major competitions. Also played for Spurs 123 times and 52 times for Chelsea.

You're right Jaws, how could I forget Caldow! Sweep1, fair point about Durie's caps and stats but I just didn't rate him as a Rangers great. Agree to differ?
