So the pile on against us continues.

Nippy blames any increase in challenges on Rangers fans. Couldn't have anything to do with schools reopening!

Strange that our football fans cause the spread but BLM protestors don't.

The mass gatherings were daft but the Scottish Government should at least be consistent in their messaging.

We might not agree on a few things DK19, but you are on the button with this. We are now being used as pawns and scapegoats to mask the nats failures and deficiencies, and it stinks!
I just hope all the Rangers fans on here see them for what they are?

Honestly? Do you think they just made it up? Track and trace ask where you have been when you have recorded a positive test. Anyone who said they were at Ibrox will be included in these figures whether they actually caught it there or not. Fact is, those that gathered at Ibrox and George Square have brought this kind of thing on themselves and also on the club. No amount of saying "nippy" or deflecting about BLM will ever change that.

Was there a spike in the East End in December?
And wonder how London will cope after 2 days of crowd gathering at weekend.

17 mar 2021 10:11:01
dk19 you are absolutly right this pathetic excuse of a first minister is trying to deflect her own mess ups by blaming everyone but herself how dare she blame rangers supporters for the upturn of c.v. cases were is the proof? sadly some on here believe anything she says without proof and follow like sheep.

After the Salmond fiasco, I'm sure they do make things up when it suits them, I take what they say with a pinch of salt. What some of our fans did was out of order, I celebrated with my brothers through Skype and, believe it or not, it was a great virtual family party. I must admit I broke the rules too Drove over to Ibrox and just sat in the car thinking.

17 Mar 2021 11:03:50
don't be fooled track and trace is about lockdown and can only work effectively in one. that's what this is about and it isn't a guarantee even at that.

17 Mar 2021 11:19:05
Bouncy, sounds as if you have chosen to defend nippy rather than address my point?

Are you saying that no matter what attacks are solely made against our club by the Scottish Government they should not be challenged? If so, I wonder where your true allegiance lies.

Consistency, balance and fairness is all I asked for.

If you believe that outdoor gatherings have caused a "spike", you are very gullible at believing a SNP rhetoric that is trying to deflect from their own failings.
On the Monday 8th after the title celebrations their was a total of 501 positive cases in the whole of Scotland. In the 3 main regions nearest to George Square etc the breakdown was as follows:-
Glasgow - 138
Lanarkshire - 99
Ayrshire - 37
Yesterday it was 597 positive cases in the whole of Scotland.
Breakdown as follows:-
Glasgow - 207
Lanarkshire - 98
Ayrshire - 51
The day before the celebrations, Friday 5th, there was over 700 positive tests.
These are from the ScotGovs own figures. Are we lead to believe that only fans who lived in Glasgow caught the CV at the celebrations?
Plus a leading virologist has stated that their is no evidence to suggest that people gathering in outdoor spaces causes a "spike" in CV cases.
Compare and contrast at Xmas time where the SNP allowed households to mix indoors and it went from 700 cases to 2600 positive cases. Now that's a true spike.
Let's see what the figures are next week before we join the hysterical SNP blame game. 👍.

Honestly? Do you believe them DTB? Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me; fool me three times, shame you never listened to everyone on here about how dishonest and devious the nats are when they have an agenda!
George Sq, in my opinion, was a bad idea, and the way the nats are spinning it, was one of the reasons I thought this. The snp are not to be trusted, and anyone on here who thinks differently, need to have a good look at themselves. Don't be the fool who buys into their political rhetoric, there's always an agenda.

The Rangers Board will deal with her don't you worry if she continues down this road. My own feeling is that she will be ousted before the next elections after the Inquiry Panel's decision.

17 Mar 2021 14:06:20
I am honestly amazed at some responses on here. I have made my point about how the crowd outside Ibrox and in George Square have had the increase attributed to them. I will not change my mind on this, regardless of what is said here.

17 Mar 2021 14:22:34
DTB track and trace doesn’t work and people lie as well.

It's nothing to do with Gers fans being attributed to an "increase", DoTheBouncy, and everything to do with the rhetoric from the SNP government who have said there is a "spike" in cases attributed to Rangers fans who celebrated.
5th March - 700 cases, pre celebrations
8th March - 501 cases, day after celebrations
16th March - 597 cases, week after celebrations
Hardly a "spike", considering:-
20th December - 700 cases, pre relaxation of the lockdown rules
27th December - 2600 cases.
I didn't hear the ScotGov getting hysterical about themselves for allowing people to mix INDOORS and the subsequent spike in cases.
They are trying to deflect from their own failings throughout this CV.
And schools have also returned just as cases are climbing slightly but certainly no "spike" and all big bad Rangers fault.
