I would normally agree with that but in his position Scotland are so poor it would be worth playing him. If he can handle europe with us he can handle anything.

Let’s not get too carried away with young Patterson. He’s equipped himself well in 45 mins of EL football. I’ve seen him play for Scotland u21s and thought he looked average. Let’s see how plays tomorrow and then in Prague if selected.

Yes bmg, sure he's still trying to hold on for England. think he has no chance of england squad when you have trent, walker and wan bissaka in there. Perhaps when he realises this he might become more receptive to the idea of international football.
